A stone square courtyard is the first aspect of the grounds that you come to after you travel through the corridor. Surrounded by magnificent stone columns adorned with luscious ivy and slight lily growth, the courtyard provides students with benches to sit on with their friends or for the one who just wishes for some peace and quiet. Also, in the middle stands a very illustrious Wishing Fountain.

So, she didn't know what was wrong with her this year, what with leaving homework to the very last minute to do, but she was finding it rather tiring. Who knew that leaving homework to the last minute actually made you TIRED?
Yea, she didn't know that.
However, she started her late journey noooow anyways, with a list in one hand, wand in her other hand, and a bag on her shoulder that clinked quietly from the jars that were inside. There was no way she was getting her bag dirty, so whatever ingredients she got, they were going in jars.
Yet she barely even started her little adventure of finding ingredients when she happened across feathers. Sure, students carried their owls and whatnot around school sometimes, but this wasn't just any feather. It was an eagle feather! Totally different. Wait, were eagle owls different from eagles!?
...
Didn't matter. What mattered, was that it had the word EAGLE in it, so in a jar it went!
Jonathan's mind went blank when Cass asked her that question. A friend of his asked that question once as well and he couldn't seem to find the right answer to that. He doesn't know if it's hormones or whatever it is but all he knows is that everytime... yes everytime, he sees her, his eyes can't stop looking at her, brain can't stop thinking, his heart can't stop beating. So how was he suppose to explain something he can't even explain to himself.
"I find you very beautiful" He nodded his head. okay, that was a shallow answer. "And i see you almost everyday" the great hall, potions classroom, courtyard, pathways, treehouse, lake, Common Room, you name it. Not that he was implying he's following her or something. Definitely not. But everytime Jonathan was there it so happens SHE was there as well.
He chuckled at the last part of what she said "Well, i'm not the nicest person too but you know..." he teased as well.
They're actually having a conversation. If only Cass could imagine how happy the slytherin boy is inside.
Cass crossed her arms and tapped her index finger against it as she waited for him to answer her question. Then her heart sort of sank when he said that he found her beautiful. Not that she was happy for that, it really did feel good being called pretty..much less beautiful, but maybe she was secretly wishing for someone who just doesn't see her as a pretty blonde...
"Thank you." She said as she tried to keep the flatness off her voice. Cut him some slack Cass, he can't read personality off the bat. No one can. "Its very flattering."
Then she smiled when he returned the statement. "Well, no one is ever that nice." Cass stated as she rolled her eyes "Except Hufflepuff maybe.."
Then she sat down on the bench, lifting her guitar to the side as she let it stand next to her. "So, tell me about yourself.."

No matter how much that previous topic was important to think about and figure out, Josh's attention was drawn away from it when Professor Lafay pointed her wand at his and Destiny's hands. He had to pay attention to someone who was pointing their wand towards him, right? So that was what he was doing know. And the woman tapped on his hand, to be honest, he was expecting some kind of pain to penetrate it. He didn't know why Lafay would have the idea of hurting him because he had not done anything but this was Lafay, she was unpredictable. Yet...he felt no pain and the boy immediately stared at the she-snake to see her reaction. Well...she looked like she was utterly horrified but there was no sign suggesting that she was in pain.
On the other hand, as the Potions Mistress began explaining what she had done to their hands, Josh could see that this was...really painful in actual. Painful to his soul. He did NOT want to spend the rest of his life with her. She was going to slow him down when he needed to be fast. She was going to make him lose when he needed to fight. She was going to mess with all the things he was going to need to be doing because they couldn't be done with a single hand. Not to mention she could be in danger, if she was forced to go wherever he went.
Plus now how was he going to go the loo if he ever happened to feel the need to do so? And how was he going to wear his shirt back? He did not want to wander around the grounds, looking for potions stuff half-naked. Yet, upon hearing Lafay's further explanations about the spell she had just cursed them with casted on them, the Gryffindor had completely figured that going to the loo or walking around shirtless was nothing to be worrying about compared to them.
As the boy was unable to utter a word with the shocking effect of Lafay's explanation of the evil spell, he was unable to speak when she started to walk away as well. So, he just stared at her back and then...just stared at her back. Yes, even Destiny had yelled after her but Josh just stared.
And that was until he felt the crazy she-snake's eyes on him. So, looking back at her, he moved his gaze to their locked hands for a moment or so before staring back at her...with the same narrowed eyes. ''Destiny...'' he began yet the girl simply started to poke attack him with his OWN hand.
''My fault!'' he protested stopping the poking attack of her by simply using his strenght to make his arm immovable. At least he knew he was physically way stronger than her so he might be able to stop most of her attempts of crazy stuff. ''None of this would have happened if you had not decided to run to HER like a chicken being chased by a fox!!!!''
Letting out an angry breath, Josh opened his mouth to went on blaming her for everything yet when some thought, an unrelated to the situation but important one, hit him no words made their way out his mouth. And yes, it was related to what the first year lion had previously told him. Evelyn being at the Gryffindor table...
EVERY SINGLE individual in this school could tell there was no way Evelyn Flores would just spend her time at the Gryffindor table so randomly. There must have been A GOOD ENOUGH reason to make her be there and if her boyfriend, who would be him; Josh Carter, was no there why had she been there? If that important reason to make her sit at the lion's table was NOT him, just WHAT was it? Taking his gaze away from Destiny, staring at the ground instead and swallowing a few times, the boy tried to convince himself that he had NO IDEA about what that reason would be. Yet, he HAD and it was making his eyes widen with huge disappointment. For the reason could be no one but...Riley Sinclair...
He could still remember how she had protected Riley against him. He could remember how she had refused to keep him away from herself and did not let him to do job instead. So, he had faith in his girlfriend and tried not to kill the boy though he had to sleep in the same room with him but now...she was doing that? Still spending time with THAT COWARD when he was not around?
Slightly trembling over this possibility of a second betrayal, Josh looked up at the sky instead, to avoid Destiny's attempts of having a peek of his expression full of sadness and agony. Then he simply fell on his knees and covered his face with his free, Destiny-less arm.
Destiny had been too busy watching the retreating back of Professor Lafay to realize that another boy had come up to talk to Josh. That was until Josh himself started to speak, but whatever he said, she paid no attention to. It was hard to listen to him while their hands were stuck together. It was like, the more he spoke, the more it sunk in that she was actually STUCK to him. Nowhere to hide, not even in the comfort of the Slytherin Common Room. Not even the BATHROOM.
They was DOOMED forever.
She continued to poke him with his own hand, and when he denied that it wasn't his fault, she tried to give him one last poke, but it was useless. He was a boy after all, and, although she HATED to admit it, he was stronger than she was. She settled for a glare in his direction instead. "You shouldn't have put that rat spleen down my back!" Yes, this was what it was all about. He had to go and butt into other people's business, and even though Lafay already punished him for that, Destiny didn't think it was enough. He should have had detention!
Letting out an angry breath of her own, Destiny watched as Josh opened his mouth, ready for the boy to yell at her some more for something she didn't do, but it never came. Her eyebrows raised when he turned his attention to the ground and she couldn't help but feel a bit smug. That right there showed that he knew it was his fault. He was hanging his head in GUILT! Which is what he should be doing.
But all those thoughts vanished as quickly as they came once he fell to his knees and covered his face, and her eyes widened as she stood there and stared at him. Was she really that bad? Sure, she knew she could be annoying; both Evelyn and Mia had told her that, but she didn't think being stuck to her would be that upsetting. Was he going to cry!? Sweet Merlin, she WAS that bad!
"I'm sorry I'm so annoying! I didn't mean to get us stuck together!"

Okay so maybe it's a wrong idea to have told her she was beautiful. BUT SHE IS. It's just that, that answer could have been better than just 'i find you beautiful'. Jonathan felt hesitant about that. The truth is, he likes her just the way she is. Heck, Jonathan wouldn't even cared if she was as stubborn as he is. But the fact that she was still thankful and flattered about what he said, that made Jonathan sigh of relief.

Hufflepuffs? Last time he checked the Apericium, it was about a Hufflepuff being the not-so nice one. "Well not from what i've heard" he smiled. Fairly amused by what he read. What was his name again? The Hufflepuff dude that was dating Ellie but was at the same time flirting with Kurumi? ---Treyen? Jonathan completely doesn't know what was going around the castle. He met Kurumi once and she seems like the loveliest person. So reading her name from that parchment really surprised Jonathan.
Hope she's okay. ANYWAYSSS,
He sat down next to her. So she owns a guitar. That's nice. Jonathan wishes he could play one of those. He's more of a piano person. His mother taught him since he was 4. BUT THEN...
...'TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF' That sounds like he was applying for something. Still. Why not?! It's nice if she got to know him. Compare notes and what not. "I'm half-Korean. My dad is, my mother is English." guess he could start with the basics "My father's side of the family were all Slytherins, so being sorted into the same house wasn't that much of a surprise" he said.
What else? What else could he share to her? His negative behaviors or his positive ones? "If i had one thing to share about myself is that I'm very OCD" yes, Jonathan is very clean, very proper, very organized. He could never stand it if his things gets misplaced or the room would be messy.
hmmm... More? "What do you want to know about me?" he smiled at her. Well, she could ask her anything. He would be glad to answer that.

Cass' smile melted off her face when she was reminded of that newest entry on the Aparecium. She still couldn't believe that it could happen to Kurumi, yes she knew that there were very flirty Hufflepuffs, after all,dearest Daniel was proof of that. She totally felt bad for Kurumi. It seemed like nothing good ever happened to her. First Adam, now this...its crazy.
"Well, I guess that certain Hufflepuff was just a little too friendly for his - or anyone else's - own good." She answered grimly as she pictured a certain Gryffindor who was probably still nursing a broken heart.
"Oh, Half Korean, that's interesting." She noted with a smile. She wondered what it was like to be half..something. What kind of culture would they be exposed to and all that... Then she nodded when he said he sort of didn't have a choice about the house. Like almost everyone in Slytherin...it was hereditary..You inherit being a Slytherin. "Same here." She said with a shrug, seeing as her mother was a Black, it was sort of..kinda automatic. Not that she didn't think she didn't belong in Slytherin. In fact, she believed that it was the perfect house for her! She would have appreciated having some remote choice in the matter though.
OMG. He was OCD! Finally, a boy who knew that value of cleanliness. Not that she valued it herself...
"Then, in that case, I advise you, never to attempt to enter the girl's dormitories. Because even if the stairs don't get you, you might go crazy because of the mess in there." She admitted with a laugh. Seriously, there were magazines, books, clothes, and other things everywhere. Sometimes when one would go for a walk they don't even bother checking if what their wearing really belonged to them.
She shrugged at his question. "I don't know. What do you think I should know?"

Jonathan never believes in anything he hears especially from that Apericium lady. She's the last person Jonathan would ever believe. Probably half of what she wrote might be true but most of them are probably exaggerated. Kurumi is sweet and nice, and yet this lady made her like some kind of flirt. Really?!
"Well best hope, they both sort this thing out" he said referring to the Hufflepuff and gryffindor. The Apericium hopefully didn't destroy their friendship. Jonathan heard the Hufflepuff guy and Kurumi are quite close.
"Not really" he said when she stated that being half-korean is interesting "I grew up here in London so i'm not really Korean THAT much" he laughed. It's true. He's more of an English rather than a Korean. Although he can still speak, write and read the language. His father did taught him way back when he was younger. And his uncles tutored him mostly about their culture.
"Slytherins by blood" he winked at her. Jonathan being sorted in the Slytherin house was probably more of his family tree. Not that he was implying that he didn't like being a Slytherin. Quite frankly, Jonathan is FIT TO BE A SLYTHERIN. Or maybe, that part was also hereditary. *heehee*
Never to enter the girl's dormitory huh? Well first of all, he couldn't go up there even if he would. That would be a violation and that means LAFAY will be so angry she would hex him. "Is it messy there?" he chuckled. Well, the boy's dorm room is not that clean too but Jonathan is proud to say that his area is clean enough. Too clean to be precise.
Is that weird? For a boy to be THAT clean?
"I dunno. I just love cleaning and putting things in their proper places" yeah, that's why he has OCD.
Okay, what can Jonathan share else about himself? Cass can't seem to ask him any questions soooo, he has to just tell her some of the basics perhaps? "My favorite subject is Potions and actually so as the teacher here at Hogwarts" he smiled. Jonathan did like how professor Lafay was teaching Potions. She may be a terror but Jonathan learns a lot from her. "I can play the piano and do origami" he added.
Sigh...
Okay enough about Jonathan... "your turn... You should tell me something about yourself too" he leaned closer to her this time. Observing her eyes this time. Wow. Hazel eyes. Pretty.
Harper ignored the wind for a second and turned to Septimus again. "Oh, I'm in Hufflepuff. Do you like Gryffindor? I think it would be my second favorite house." she shrugged and pondered briefly on that.
"Hufflepuff. That's nice." Septimus thought for a moment. "Well, I guess all houses are the same, really. They all have a hundred people them and they all go to Hogwarts. I would have liked really any house I was put in, but yes, I do like Gryffindor."

Oddly enough, Jimbo was sitting on a bench in the courtyard reading a book/ It's not that he's illiterate in any sort of way, just that he spends most of his time planning and hanging around eating candy. He does all of his productive work in his dorm room. Whenever he is outside, all he does is lounge around.
But this time, he was avidly reading a book called "Maintaining the Health of your Household Pet". Not at all very interesting, which was even more odd for Jimbo. He was so immersed in the book that he might as well have been in the peace and quiet of his dorm room, because he wasn't paying attention to anything outside the brim of his book.
Except, maybe, sparing enough sub-conscious attention to reaching into the candy bag beside him and bringing whatever candy he got a hold of straight to his mouth. This action was so zombie-like, however, that it could hardly count.
"Hufflepuff. That's nice." Septimus thought for a moment. "Well, I guess all houses are the same, really. They all have a hundred people them and they all go to Hogwarts. I would have liked really any house I was put in, but yes, I do like Gryffindor."

Aaron wandered through the courtyard. He was on the way to the Quidditch Pitch, to set up for practice. But he was going down early- hoping to have some private flight time on the practice pitch. Something that the captain always wanted to do, but never had the chance. Ah well, now he had the chance!
Passing through, he nearly walked by a certain Slytherin reading a book. Hm. Jimbo, Aaron thought. He never really talked to him apart a few occasions, but then they were always with Iris. From what Aaron heard, Jimbo had a thing for Iris, but hey, who wouldn't? She's brilliant. Aaron put it out of his thoughts as he stood in front of Jimbo. "Hey!" Aaron finally said.
Jimbo will set his turtle loose on you. { The Farley } "That's trademarked, don't use it."
So, Jimbo wasn't expecting that.
Like, at all.
So when he heard someone talking to him, he jumped. A lot. In fact, he had just been putting his hand back in the candy bag beside him so that when he jumped and had a full body spasm, his hand sent all the candy flying into the air.
He dropped his book as well.
Shocked out of his wits, he looked up at the culprit of concentration disruption and had another mini heart attack.
As far as Jimbo could remember he had only ever had a few encounters with Aaron Anderson. However, every single one of those included at least one other person. And that was always Monty, which was the only thing they had in common. At least, he hoped so.
Needless to say, Jimbo wasn't very enthusiastic at the idea of a private chat with Aaron Anderson. Especially not now, when all he had on his mind was the mere existence of the boy, not to mention his own feelings for Aaron Anderson's girlfriend.
Mind you, he tried his best not to have very strong feelings of hate towards the guy. After all, it was not as if the whole situation was his fault.
At least, that's what Jimbo tried to get himself to believe.
So maybe he actually thought that if it wasn't for Aaron Anderson, he might have a chance. But he wasn't going to go around harassing the guy. After all, as much as he may not like it, he made Monty happy. And he wasn't going to jeopardize that.
Or at least, that's what he kept telling himself.
Which is why Jimbo made it a point to avoid The Boyfriend. He never would have thought that the guy would EVER come and talk to him. Jimbo was a bit cornered, and he wasn't sure if he liked it. What was The Boyfriend's angle?
Competely forgetting about the candy and the book he dropped, he stared at The Boyfriend. "...Hi. I think."
After Ari went back inside, Gwen decided to stay out for a little while. She didn’t have anything to do that afternoon, so she still had a lot of time to kill. The ravvie pulled out a piece of parchment from her bag and decided to go on drawing.
She started another portrait, but she soon erased it.Then she started drawing what she saw around (the Courtyard), but, again she erased everything. Meh, I don’t have so much inspiration now…

Finally the weather was nice enough for Marie to sit outside and daydream study. She was getting tired of being stuck inside all the time. She wanted to be out in the fresh air.
Finding herself in the courtyard she looked around to make sure Evan wasn't anywhere in site. She was not in the mood to run into him today. She wanted to enjoy her time outside without listening to him run his mouth.
Finding an empty bench she sat down pulling her legs up under her. Pulling out a book she plopped it on her lap but didn't bother opening it yet. There was no rush to start studying. She had all afternoon. For now she was just going to people watch... or maybe just stare at a few passing clouds.

Finlay was still pretty bummed about losing to hufflepuff. It was a pretty lame feeling to be honest, and he really didn't want to feel like it anymore. He figured that maybe going outside for a run would help, especially consiering that it was getting a bit more warm now, so he didn't have to freeze as he got outside. It was pretty good to be honest. With a bottle of water in his hand, he wandered through the courtyard, ready to have a nice jog. He hadn't done it for a while, but knew he was still in shape. All that quidditch managed that. But he figured he needed to at least start doing some sort of run in the morning, to get ready for the intense training that he would got through once he started training with the magpies. With that thought, he glanced down at his arm and grinned. The magpie temporary tattoo that neptune had given him was still there. He was happy about that. It was pretty epic.

Once the clouds Marie had been staring at passed she blinked her eyes a few times then looked around the courtyard. Seeing a familiar face she quickly looked in another direction.

It had been six months since their break up and they still had not spoken to each other. Sure, she seen him in classes and around the school, but that was it. No words had been exchanged between them, not even a simple hi.
Feeling a little awkward at seeing him out here alone she quickly opened her book and pretended to be reading it. Now if he seen her sitting there he wouldn't have to feel as awkward as she felt. Hmm. The courtyard was quieter than he had thought it would be. There was like nobody around expect....Marie. Oh. He hadn't seen her for a while. This was kind of awkward, but Finaly didn't really care. Finlay had moved on, and his relationship with Marie was long stored away in his memory. Right now he was more concerned about his none existant relationship with Jimmy.
The thing was...he didn't know if he needed to go and talk to her, esepcially as he hadn't seen her since the break up. So like...he kind of just smiled at her, gave a little wave, and kept walking. He didn't know if he should talk to her....

After Ari went back inside, Gwen decided to stay out for a little while. She didn’t have anything to do that afternoon, so she still had a lot of time to kill. The ravvie pulled out a piece of parchment from her bag and decided to go on drawing.
She started another portrait, but she soon erased it.Then she started drawing what she saw around (the Courtyard), but, again she erased everything. Meh, I don’t have so much inspiration now…
Life was pretty boring right now. There were no good classes going on. Blorty Borr or whatever the heck his name was was being an idiot. And Samira had nothing to do. Soon, the Slytherin found herself in the courtyard. She didn't really know why she was here, but sometimes she just wandered to places she was drawn to. It was weird.
Deciding she needed someone to talk to, Samira's bright eyes scanned the courtyard. Soon, they landed on a familiar looking person. Gretchen? Ginny? Grace? No...Gwen--that was her name. Samira talked to her briefly at Diagon Alley. Moving over confidently, Samira stood a few feet away so Gwen could have her space. "Mind if I sit?" she asked, gesturing to the spot beside her.
Hmm. His favorite thing to do? "I think reading probably is," Lucas answered with a shrug. "I don't really know." He grinned. "How about you?"
"I love reading. What's your favorite book?" Cove asked. "Hm. Depends on the day. Either surfing, photography, or playing violin." Cove answered. "Sometimes even beach volleyball." She does a lot of stuff in her spare time.

Marie was not able to concentrate on anything that was in the book on her lap. not when she knew Finn was just right over there. Letting curiosity get the best of her she glanced up just as he... did he actually smile and wave at her? Well, that was the most he had acknowledged her all term. Not wanting to be rude she smiled and waved back at him, not that it really seemed to matter, since he kept walking.
It looked like today wasn't going to be the day they talked either.

Letting out an angry breath of her own, Destiny watched as Josh opened his mouth, ready for the boy to yell at her some more for something she didn't do, but it never came. Her eyebrows raised when he turned his attention to the ground and she couldn't help but feel a bit smug. That right there showed that he knew it was his fault. He was hanging his head in GUILT! Which is what he should be doing.
But all those thoughts vanished as quickly as they came once he fell to his knees and covered his face, and her eyes widened as she stood there and stared at him. Was she really that bad? Sure, she knew she could be annoying; both Evelyn and Mia had told her that, but she didn't think being stuck to her would be that upsetting. Was he going to cry!? Sweet Merlin, she WAS that bad!
"I'm sorry I'm so annoying! I didn't mean to get us stuck together!"
One hand stuck to Destiny, the other covering his face with the arm as well; the boy kept his position on his knees even though moments had passed and passed. He had no sense of time left right now anyway and he did NOT need it either. He just needed to stop this thoughts attacking his mind yet they felt like coming from an interminable source and he couldn't even fight the very first one that had hit him so how could he stop them entirely? That was nothing he could do or he did not know if it was possible to take one's own mind strictly under control to think of only what he wanted to think.
That felt impossible even though he was surrounded by magic in this school. Yet, hopefully the she-snake Destiny's words distracted him for that instant when she had attempted to accuse him for everything that had happened so far. Normally, as anyone would be able to tell, Josh was no person to escape an argument and neither was afraid of showing that he disagreed. Nevertheless after the rat spleen comment, he just slightly and slowly nodded instead....without, of course getting his arm off his face still remanining in the same position. ''You...maybe you are right.'' Who knows? Sometimes crazy she-snakes could be totally right.
But it was when the girl spoke again that the lion boy finally decided to reveal his face with a little bit watery eyes turning to face the girl. Yes, it was true that he was deeply upset, annoyed and...etc but it had nothing to do with Destiny Shephard. To be honest and see quite the opposite, she was easing the situation for him with her presence, not to mention that kinda dstracted him by reminding him that there was a homework ro do as soon as possible.

The girl gave up after having that piece of parchment torn. Ah, how annoying it is not to have inspiration!
When Gwen started getting bored, she heard a voice near her. Not even looking at the other girl she nodded. If I mind?‘Not at all’, she answered. Wait- I know you! Samira!, Gwen remembered. Aaaah, I can’t believe I actually remembered her name! I always forget things like this… I should award me with a chocolate frog right after I get in the Common Room. Hehe.

They seem to be enjoying their talk and Heather was downright getting bored. She yawned silently and pouted. Perhaps it would have been better if she left after all, but man, was she really curious of what they were talking about, even more so of Jonathan's sudden interest with Cass.
Well...Jonathan is nice. He's really friendly. Cass is...nice. and she's been friends with her since like...they were very little.
well, very little in Cass's case. Heather's growth spurt was having a grand difficult turn in going up. It was either that or her growth spurt was just too lazy to come and this made her frown a bit more.
From her hiding place, Heather could only wait. Wait a second, after they're done talking...how can she get out of there? how can she go about and leave without getting noticed or seen? Now that's a dilemma.
she may be small but she didn't know how to hide herself very well-or run as fast as she could away from Cass's earshot.

Hugo sat on a bench, reading a book about spells. Every day, he was trying to learn new spells and non-verbals. It was hard though. Real hard. He turned the page and flicked the wand movement with his Chestnut wand.

He closed an eye so the sun didn't shine so directly in his eyes when he looked up at her. "I'm Hugo. But I think we've met before," he nodded. "You're from Italy, right? I'd like to be there right now..." he said, tieing his scarf around his neck a little tighter.
