| | The Corridor to the Courtyard This corridor is a simple, airy hallway with openings to allow in as much sunshine as possible and fresh air. It is an excellent transition from the school to the grounds as it exits out into the courtyard. |

Her eyes widened in surprise, at that thought. She wondered then especially with his last statement regarding her and Matt, if maybe her heart had just been in the wrong place even with Matt.
Looking up at him, she said softly "I wonder if the main reason that Matt and I didn't click was my heart just wasn't in it...it was elsewhere, even before I knew it myself." "Well I have a secret," he said leaning toward her and looking around. "I had it before I got there..." He smirked and leaned back slightly. Didn't need teachers going all crazy did they.
Mmmmmmmhmmm. If she'd been willing. Though had he pushed it she would have he was sure. Because he was just that awesome. You couldn't say no to him. Or in Dora's case you could say no. Actually she didn't say no either but used physical force to prove her point. Meh.
If he had been drinking anything right then he would have choked on it as he heard what she said about her heart being elsewhere. What. Did. That. Mean.???? He tried to keep his expression neutral his inner self already up and running the other direction. "And...um...where was it exactly?" He braced himself and readied an excuse in his head to leave. Homework? Nah she wouldn't by it. James! He was always good for an excuse.

Her eyes moving to his again, as he stammered, she looked at him baffled. What made him just do that... Lifting her eyebrow at him, "Uhhh." She had no clue what to say incase he was freaked or something. "Well I mean that I just couldn't keep my mind on Matt." Shrugging she looked off into the courtyard again, "To be honest I was thinking more about you, then Matt even when I was with him at times."
Now what made him stammer and have an odd expression, usually he had a grin or teasing look...

It took all his will power not to tap his foot or something and keep the casual posture he had right then. He'd just figured out he liked her and she was telling him.... Right.... This time he did shift in his seat and looked around. "I...um...hmmm," he said clearing his throat and rubbing the back of his neck. Should he pull the James card?
"And how exactly were you thinking about me?" he said managing to gather himself completely.

What was up with him? "Uhh, thinking how I'd rather be hanging out with you rather then sitting with Matt throwing rocks into the lake for instance." Looking at him curiously she turned more to face him rather then sit side by side. "I had more fun with you then Matt for the most part, and all he did was ask constantly to be with me nonstop." A tad irritating that was, when she was bored doing the same stuff all the time.
"Erm, Ivan? What's wrong?" she asked lifting an eyebrow.

"Erm, Ivan? What's wrong?" she asked lifting an eyebrow. Ivan listened as TJ explained just what she meant. Taking a deep breath he relaxed tons and leaned against the bench. Thank Merlin that's all he had to say. At least she wasn't the type to fall for someone without knowing them.
"Hmm? Oh absolutely nothing," he said with a grin. "So you'd rather me have been messing with you than your boyfriend wanting to be with you. Lucky me," he said with a smirk.

Her eyes still searching him curiously, she was baffled by his quick change again. What in Merlin's name... What was it, were there Wackspurts or something floating around? Pfft, she didn't believe in them but had heard of them at least. Very odd...
Smirking at him at his comment, she tilted her head sideways, "Hmmm perhaps." Squeezing his hand again, as she sat there looking at him, she laughed, "It's amazing the difference of how I feel with you then I did Matt. It's like the load and tension is gone from everything."

"Well that's a good thing right?" he asked with a smirk. "Come on let's go do something. Practice some more dance moves?" he said with a smirk and glanced at her.

Grinning at him she nodded "Definitely." Well whatever had caused him to act weird obviously had passed, wackspurts or not. Hehe well professors can't yell at them for dancing, it was an assignment wasn't it? "Great idea." Just another reason to be happily in his arms again.
Standing up she kept her hand in his. "Where at?" she asked looking down at him, as she turned toward him facing him again.

"Give us some privacy so we can talk," he said with a smirk before leading her down the corridor.

Her eyes sparkling happily still, she just didn't seem to be able to lose the smile that was on her face.

Selina was elated. She had just come back from the Gryffindor Quidditch locker rooms where she had seen the list. At first she thought she hadn't made the team, but then realized the list was in alphabetical order. Being that her last name was Skylar she was the last on the list. She was so excited. Quidditch was her passion and now she got to play for the team the second year in a row.
She resisted the urge to run, skip, and sing because it might have ruined her tough persona. But she could feel her excitement boiling over at the seams. Could you blame her? Quidditch was the best part about her days at Hogwarts.

Quidditch was the best part about her days at Hogwarts. With a confident smirk spreading its way across her face, Sierra Greingoth made her way from the Quidditch pitch and closer to the castle. She was rarely seen out and about on the grounds, as it just wasn't in her nature to be that sociable, but today she had an extremely good reason to be outside. Rosters had been posted earlier today, and of course she'd headed straight for the pitch as soon as class had let out.
...and there it had been--her name, right on the parchment just under Evelyn's. Sierra had been slightly worried she wouldn't make it, yet she'd never let that be known to anyone. Nope. No one at all. The only thing that could possibly bring her down now was the fact that Lola Jones had made the team, too. Lola! Hmph. The girl just better be good in games. She was actually pretty good at tryouts--even Sierra had to admit.
She glanced up just in time to see a Gryffindor girl walking just up ahead. She'd seen her in classes, hanging out with Hollingberry, but she still hadn't managed to catch her name. She didn't care to catch the girl's name either. It wasn't like there would ever be any need for them to hold conversation, right? Right. So Sierra looked down to her feet as she walked, trying not to meet the girl eye-to-eye.

It seemed like all of the work the two had done over the summer at her house in preparations for try outs had really helped Kurumi. Helped her enough to even get her on the team. She was glad that Kurumi's name was there so now the two could play side by side. They spent enough time together as is that it was only a matter of time that Selina's enthusiam about Quidditch rubbed off on the cookie dealer.
She stopped to check her sac to see if she had her books for Divination in the middle of the walkway. While she was stopped someone walked right by her with eyes cast down. Selina tipped her head to see who it was that was avoiding her. And the answer did not surprise her at all-- Sierra. This girl was always causing trouble for people in class and was know in the Gryffindor Common Room as the sour snake. So the fact that she was ignoring Selina who was sporting her house's colors did not surprise her.
A small scoff escaped her lips at Sierra's plan of attack or fleeing. Which ever way it was construed. But it was so soft no one could have heart it... could they?

Why did it not surprise Sierra that she couldn't just walk right on by this girl without getting looks? She could almost hear what the girl was thinking to herself. She was probably wondering how on earth some mean, cruel Slytherin could just walk right on by a wonderfully innocent Gryffindor without saying a word or sparing a glance.
Whoever said she had to speak to anyone and everyone whose path she crossed anyway? Hmm. Gryffindors. They were always thinking somebody owed them something. Sierra was just as content to keep walking and not looking, when she heard a sudden fluttering sound coming from just behind her.
Her eyebrows slightly wrinkled as she tried to figure out what she'd heard and why it sounded like it was coming from right behind her. When it happened again, she realized some papers in her bag had come lose, and she was losing bits and pieces of parchment. "Ugh," she mumbled to herself, turning around to see several pieces of notes fluttering about. She flicked her wand from her holster and summoned them back to her. As she stuffed them in her bag, she looked up at the Gryffindor, who was still looking her way. "What?" she firmly asked. What are you looking at? What do you want?

It was so typical of Slytherin's to assume that everyone else was below them on the social ladder and show it in their faces. She was no exception at this moment. She just kept walking with her nose so high Selina was afraid a bug didn't fly right in. Selina scoffed again slightly.
Suddenly she felt horrible at the scoff because Sierra tripped and dropped all of her parchment. Selina moved across the corridor to help her pick up the parchment, but before she could reach out to help Sierra had summoned the parchment and was stuffing it in her bag. Selina just stood and watched her hastily put the parchment into her sac. Then Sierra snarled at Selina. The feeling of pity was gone in an instant and Selina crossed her arms over her chest. What was with this girl and her attitude?
"Nothing," Selina replied sharply, "just trying to help." Slytherins.

"Nothing," Selina replied sharply, "just trying to help." Slytherins. OOC: Just for clarification, Sierra didn't trip, and she's looking down at the ground.
Sierra regraded the girl for a few silent seconds before she said or did anything else. Was this girl really just trying to help? From Sierra's experience, nobody helped another just because it was the right thing to do. Didn't they always want something from you? Need something from you?
She guessed there were those rare exceptions. Gryffindors, they were called, and of course this girl was one of them. "Oh," Sierra said, rezipping her book bag, "well, thanks for your help." See, she could be nice. She just usually had her guards up, but underneath it all, she wasn't a mean-spirited little girl. Sarcastic and blunt, yes, but evil and mean, no.
So what she supposed to do now? Make polite conversation? This is usually when things got awkward for Sierra. She just naturally wasn't an outgoing and overly-friendly person. One-on-one conversations with most people threw her for a loop. "Well, congratulations on making your house Quidditch team," she finally said. "I heard talk of who made the other teams down at the pitch."

One-on-one conversations with most people threw her for a loop. "Well, congratulations on making your house Quidditch team," she finally said. "I heard talk of who made the other teams down at the pitch." Selina blinked twice when Sierra returned her help with a thank you. It was the last thing that she had expected from the girl that she had bore witness to in classes. Sierra was always on a Hufflepuff's case or picking on Kurumi, which drove Selina bonkers because they were best friends, or even just carrying herself as someone who was better than everyone else. But now, at this very moment, she was... nice. Better than nice, she was friendly and thankful. It was not a side she was used to seeing from her fellow second year. "Um, yeah sure. No problem. You would have done the same for me." And maybe, just maybe, she might have done the same if the roles were reversed.
The awkward silence then engulfed the conversation and Selina sifted her weight back and forth between her two legs. The conversation was going no where and she was a little fearful that the two girls would just stand in silence forever. Then Sierra decided to be sociable, another shock, and picked up a topic for conversation, "Yeah congrats to you as well. You know you played really well last term. Just thought I'd mention that."

Sierra blinked. The girl just so quickly assumed that Sierra would have done the very same thing had the roles been reversed. The only problem was that Sierra wasn't really sure she would have done the same. Niceness confused her, and she wasn't accustomed to displaying it so frequently. "Hmm," was all Sierra replied with.
The Gryffindor confused Sierra even further when she told her she played really well last term. See, this was why Sierra kept away from Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors--they were far too confusing to hold conversation with, and it was easier just to ignore them. "Oh, well, thank you," she said, pausing just before adding, "same to you." The truth was that Sierra really didn't remember how this girl played last season, but saying same to you just seemed like the thing to do. "Well, I have class, so," ... "I guess I should get going now," she said. She eyed the girl for a few seconds, realizing that she probably hadn't meant any harm and just might be easy to get along with. Maybe. She'd have to see how things went the next time they happened upon each other. "See ya around." Then with a parting a glance, she turned and headed off.

What was there to do today? Sighhh...Samira was bored. And 'bored' and 'Samira' should never be in the same sentence. She's already read and re-read all of her books that she found interesting. Now she was waiting for her parents to send in some books from home, but seeing as how they were in Botswana at the moment, she didn't know when that would be.
It was too chilly to go swimming in the lake, not that Samira would ever go swimming in the lake in front of everybody anyways. Suddenly, she found herself in the corridor to the courtyard. She just kind of stood there, letting thoughts of nothingness and boredom fill her mind.

Orabelle sighed and walked through the grounds feeling quite bored but getting used to the idea of being at Hogwarts. Merlin, it was definitely colder here though. Orabelle had bundled herself up in gloves, a hat and a scarf. Obviously they weren't in shades of green, Orabelle didn't do green. But still, Orabelle enjoyed the cold and decided to take a stroll today, when it was slightly dark but nice.

Walking up behind on her left side and falling in to step with her " I see we are still boycotting the green "giving her a grin" I havent seen you around. You avoiding any one I know "

"Green is for Spring, and it's clearly not Spring time here," Orabelle pointed out. And even then she probably wasn't going to wear green. "Nope, just keeping to myself," Orabelle said as she fixed her scarf. "What brings you out here?" she asked.

I sort of told them bout you ..... And that you were a friend ... and that you couldnt find any thing in green that looked good....You know if we were to go to a school party or somthing... so the sent me some stuff to help me out." biteing his lower lips and shrugging his shoulders a little.

Orabelle was confused. She continued to walk, taking care to make sure her white boots didn't get dirty. That would just be horrible. "What package?" Orabelle asked. And why was he telling people about her? That was just weird. "I can so find stuff in green that look nice, it's just that they're not my type of things," she said simply before she glanced at her watch. Alright, in an hour she'd head back inside and find Dani. "This school has parties?" Orabelle said, genuinely surprised. Since when?!

But if you dont even want to look at it ." starting to walk again "And yes we have parties and balls.I actually danced with some of the girls from Beauxbatons.... They really should teach yall how to Salsa " dangling his bag in front of her. I really liked the boots she sent with one of the outfits..oh I forgot you dont like heels ... oh well I am shure my owl can find someone who could use them "
