This corridor is a simple, airy hallway with openings to allow in as much sunshine as possible and fresh air. It is an excellent transition from the school to the grounds as it exits out into the courtyard.
Peyton walked along the corridor that was kind of outside, kind of not. Where the heck was she? This definitely was not the Great Hall. She felt so stupid for not knowing her way around this school and kept having to ask younger kids who had been here since last year or the year before that. She came to a stop and stood there with her hands on her hips. Errr... let's see.
She would go back the way she had come just because it felt like it was that way. So she began on her way to the left once more and stopped AGAIN. Wait no... it was the other way. Turning around, she walked back the way she had just come from.
WAIT NO. A confused sigh came from her mouth and that was it.
She gave up.
This was absolutely pointless.
Now for the outdoor corridor thingy. Yes, Dal had no clue where he was going to, all he knew was that he was going, and that's what mattered to him. He was wandering the castle aimlessly to keep from getting bored. It made comeplete sense in his head.
As he walked, he noticed a girl that seemed to be wandering just like him. He watched her curiously as he neared her before realizing that she wasn't doing a good job of wandering. She kept going back and forth. Was she pacing?
Finally curiousity got the better of him and he walked right up to her and asked, "Is something wrong?" Because who would pace in an outdoor corridor thing if something wasn't wrong?

'Is something wrong?'.... she wanted to yell 'YES PLEASE HELP ME FIND FOOD', but nope... she refrained from it. "Oh no everything's perfectly dandy," she emphasized with a reassuring smile.
After thinking about the lie she had just told she dropped the smile and decided to admit it. "Actually, yeah, something is wrong. I'm just uh.. a teeny bit lost," she explained, showing a 'teeny' space between her point finger and thumb.
Ehhh... she probably just looked like a huge freak by walking back and forth.
The girl almost jumped out of her skin when she heard someone talking to her. Goodness gracious... the jumpiness needed to not happen. And this person happened to be a boy. "Um, what are you looking for?" he asked, slightly awkwardly. It occured to him that maybe she didn't want his help, but he decided to offer it anyway. "Because I might know where it is." Yupp. And if he didn't know where to tell her to go, he could probably point her in the right direction, at least.

Then she told the professor that they were just trying to fix the wall that someone had painted a sexy dude on. And Riley nodded his head vigorously, even though the painting was already looking ALOT like Riley. "Yeah Professor."
Standing there as she was waiting for some kind of explanation, Josephina's hand went automatically to her hip as she listened to Evelyn. Fixing it, eh? Looking from Evelyn's wand to the wall and then over to Riley, she stared disbelieving. She didn't know the sixth year to be a liar, nor did she want to outright call it out, but there seemed to be missing details.
Details that judging from Riley's hesitation and awkwardness, in addition to prior yelling on his part to stop painting, Hadley guessed she was correct in her thinking.

Heaving a sigh, she slowly nodded her head, thinking it over.
"Yea, we should probably fix it." she muttered, raising her wand back up. Take it down? Nooooo. "Still needs an actual face." It was just a blank face, hair, and half his body. Goodness, that looked weird.

"Exactly, I can't believe she doesn't agree that this place would look better with murals on the blank walls." he shook his head and was pushed back by the Slytherin. "Well thanks for helping." he said as he stood next to her and looked at the half-finished, now doomed work of art. At least she agreed he was good-looking enough to brighten the hallways.
"It does, but I can't loose anymore points, the rest of the Gryffindors will get their panties in a wad." he said annoyed. "But Hadley did say that it just needed to be down by the end of the day. Sooo I guess we can hurry up and finish and then take it down. As long as we do that we should be fine." he said posing again quickly.

He was about to add something about how he'd never been there when suddenly her arms were around him. He automatically hugged her back, although he had no idea what was going on.
At her explanation, he started laughing lightly. "Don't worry about it," he said with a small smirk. No, he loved hugs, especially unexpected ones. Even if they were from girls he hardly knew. "I am, though? Huh." Although now that he thought about it... "You're only the second I've met, actually."
"Ohh, yeah that makes sense," He said with a nod. "But the important places are easy to find once you get used to it. The Great Hall, your dorm, and classrooms like Astronomy, Divination, Care of Magical Creatures, Herbology and Potions." Yep. "It's the other classrooms that I had issues finding." That was just speaking from his own experience, though.
"Oh really? Cool!" Dallin replied, even though he had never been anywhere near Colorado so he didn't really know how cool it was. He was about to add something about how he'd never been there when suddenly her arms were around him. He automatically hugged her back, although he had no idea what was going on.
At her explanation, he started laughing lightly. "Don't worry about it," he said with a small smirk. No, he loved hugs, especially unexpected ones. Even if they were from girls he hardly knew. "I am, though? Huh." Although now that he thought about it... "You're only the second I've met, actually."
"Ohh, yeah that makes sense," He said with a nod. "But the important places are easy to find once you get used to it. The Great Hall, your dorm, and classrooms like Astronomy, Divination, Care of Magical Creatures, Herbology and Potions." Yep. "It's the other classrooms that I had issues finding." That was just speaking from his own experience, though.
"Have you ever been that far west?" she asked him. The girl had never been to Florida herself. The farthest she had been east was Tennessee. It was nice sticking around Colorado because California was only a few states over. And what would she do without her snowboarding and surfing? Hehe. Peyton felt pretty dumb for hugging this boy, but she was secretly glad she got a hug back.
She laughed a little. "It's just the last time I hugged a guy, he kind of flipped out." Dallin seemed too nice to flip out about those things in her opinion. They were all good. "Yesss you are. Hogwarts doesn't seem too popular among us kid's from the US." They did happen to have a school there except who would want to go there when this place was sooo historical in the wizarding world? "Wow, then there really was less then I thought." She liked people with accents more anyway.
"I figured that," she said with a nod. Good thing she didn't have some sort of issue that disabled her ability to remember where these kind of things were. "I'll get the hang of it sometime," Peyton figured. For now, her on going questions to younger kids would continue. Now for some more of her nosiness. "Where do you live in Florida, if you don't mind my asking?" she questioned.

It was sort of weird to think that after staying in one state - besides school - he actually left the country to shop and go to school. Weird. "What about you? Ever been to Florida?"
His eyes widened. Who would flip out over a hug? Unless the person was mean or creepy about it or something but... seriously. "Weird," was Dal's only comment to that, because only weird people would flip over a friendly hug. "Yeah, you're right. It's mostly European kids, huh?" Which made sense, considering Hogwarts' location. "I think it's kind of cool that there's not a lot of States kids here, though." He shrugged.

She almost felt like that should be considered illegal... everyone who lived there should travel at least once in their life. "Mmm... but that's not in the US," she smiled teasingly. "Nope, not Florida. I stick to the west coast more. Like California," she added. Goodness she missed that state.
"He was kind of weird. Quiet and all," she said, her eyebrows narrowing. Boy's who were quiet were more mysterious though! Those were the guys she wanted to get to know. It was her mission to date at least one, 'bad boy', here. "So do I. I like hearing the other accents. Ours get's boring after 15 years in the US," came her agreement. Except hadn't she heard kid's with British or whatever other accent thought American kids had cool accents? Something must be wrong with them.

Looking down at her shoes, she tucked a piece of curly hair behind her ear, and looked back up at him. "My aunt and uncle live in Long Beach, California," she began. "When I stay with them, I can walk to the ocean too." Mmm...how she missed the smell of salt water. The girl couldn't refrain from asking, "You don't happen to surf, do you??"

It didn't really bother him, since he had all he wanted close to his house. Although it would be cool to travel more... "I've been to a ton of places in Florida..." he told her, even though he knew that didn't count as 'traveling.'
"How's California?" he wondered out loud. He imagined it would probably be a lot like Florida - humid and hot.
"Hm." He murmured. What did she mean by quiet? It was weird for Dal, because he thought of himself as 'quiet' when he was at home, because when he was home he generally preferred being with himself. But when he was at school he loved being around other people. Maybe because he was usually less annoyed and fed-up with the people at school.

Snow was something you could NOT miss out on. Aaaaah she felt bad for him because of how much he was missing out on!! "Including Disney?" Because as lame as it sounded... she REALLY wanted to go there someday.
"California's how you would expect it to be. Blonde surfer guys, beach parties, celebrity sitings, and hazy skies because of the tons of buildings." That was the only downer. She wished the air was cleaner in the cities. The blue sky had to be beautiful beyond the dirt clouds.
Peyton hadn't ever thought she accent either. "It's still nice to hear an accent like your own after a while once you're engulfed in a sea of British ones," she grinned cheekily. It was only natural that your accent seemed right to you, not foreign. Her favorite accent was probably the Italian one she had heard.
"Do I surf? Of course I surf! It's a 'must' if you live in California," came her excitement. Eeeep! Really, she had a hard time containing herself. "You have to visit Cali or Hawaii one of these days. The waves there are incredible." Hawaii was one of her favorite places in this world.
