Nika was starting to hum bizarre tunes at this point. She started thinking about how fast the term has gone by and how soon they will be leaving Hogwarts again--

Blink.

Blink. Blink.

Her first thought was, "Ow." Her second thought was, "What just happened?" She looked in front of her to see an older student apologizing. "Oh, erm it's alright really I'm fine." So this is what it feels to be the bump-ie and not the bump-er for once. It could have even been partially Nika's fault because she wasn't even paying attention to where she was going, but hey for once Nika was the one who got bumped so she wasn't going to argue. "Oh and my name's Nika, I don't think we've ever met, but you look pretty familiar. I guess I've seen you around the castle in the great hall or something?"

Dani smiled- "Yeah, probably! Erm... well, I'm Danielle... but you can just call me Dani" she said softly, still a little embarassed for full on bumping into someone else, that was so silly of her, but oh well! These things happen.

"Nika, that's a pretty name" she remarked kindly as she kept on smiling, twiddling her thumbs a little as she watched the younger girl- "I'm in fifth year, are you second or third?" she asked softly, Nika couldn't be much older than that.

Nika noted the subtle hint of embarrassment in the girls voice. She knew that feeling all too well. "It's nice to meet ya Dani!" She sang cheerfully. Well now she had someone to talk to, unless Dani was planning on going somewhere. Maybe this was Nika's opportunity to make a new friend seeing as all her other ones had decided to disappear off the face of the Earth. "Thanks," She replied with a small smile. Nika had never been too fond of her own name actually, but no need to get into that.

"Fifth year... So I'm guessing you've taken your OWLs then? Or is it NEWTS for fifth years?" She honestly had no idea. They had canceled the exams last term so this was really the first time she had heard the names. Nika face visibly brightened when she heard the girl ask if she was a second or third year. Most older kids just got cocky and asked her if she was "an ickle firstie", which she doesn't respond well to, but this second or third year thing she could get used to. "I'm in my second! Soon to be third!" She held up her fingers proudly because it just made her that much happier.

from the lake, Aiden heads straight away to the castle. The Polyjuice Potion is going to wear out soon. Pacing up the corridor quickly. Aiden thinks of somewhere to return back to herself.

Where should she go? Girls dorm? Nah, Samira might be there.

"It's okay" Dani smiled and then she nodded- "Yeah I've just done the OWLs... nightmare. Really not fun" she laughed- "I have a feeling my potion went a little wrong..." she smirked- "And we pretty much had to draw a rubber duck in our Muggle Studies" she couldn't help but laugh, that had been amusing, it was lucky she was fairly decent at drawing. Okay, she was good at drawing. She loved it.

"Awesome" Dani laughed- "Well, I've succesfully finished my first year here" she smirked- "I used to go to Beauxbatons" she said softly.

He grinned and did hook his pinky with hers. Howlers were funny.

"Don't need to feel sorry for him, he can handle himself." Most of the time.

"Yeah thats the thing. When I wanna be, not when people expect it, see?" He winked down at her. Though really there was a point where he did tend to treat people right, so long as nobody started getting complacent or expecting things from him like they were entitled.

Cassie beamed up at her boyfriend after he pinky promised with her. This just guaranteed her that she would be hearing from him after he left and it made her really happy.

"Well it's hard not to be empathetic when something like that happened to me in my fifth year...the one time I let my guard down and fell in like with someone....meh..anyways. Yeah he can handle himself."

She mentally banished the memory away from her mind. Her and Freddie were friends now and they were both over the situation.

"Ah I see...too bad not everyone gets to see the nice James that your friends get to see and who I get to kiss" rawr. She closed her eyes again."So will I be seeing you at all over the holiday?"

"Fell in like?" Jim cracked up a bit. That was funny. You didn't fall in like, or get in like, you just liked, or didn't. It was simple. The falling was that other thing, the one that led to trouble.

"Yeah well, doesn't always work out for the best, this nice business." Nope. Or else would he end up with friends that betrayed him? No he would not.

He relaxed and looked out over the courtyard. "Well, that depends I guess. For a bit at least. But I do wanna start travelling right away so you might have to come see me." Wherever he happened to end up.

Cassie pouted playfully."Heeeey, laughing at me? Fine then, I had a heavy crush on someone. Is that better?" That was what she called a crush though, falling in like, she just always said it that way.

She noded in response to James' statement. Boy wasn't he right...she had been snobbed on more than one occasion when she tried to be nice."yeah that's true."

Did he just present an opportunity for her to not spend half her summer at home and the other half working for her dad? Yes please?" I would love to do that. I've never traveled just to travel before, most times when I do it's because of work or because I'm moving."

Right, OWLs are fifth year remember that Nika. "The finals are never fun, well unless you count that one potions scavenger hunt last term, so I can only imagine how awful the real exams are." Shiver. "I'm probably going to fail all of my OWLs when I get into fifth year. The only thing I'm halfway decent in is divination." Everything else was kinda a flop. She couldn't help but giggle at the fact that they had to draw a rubber duck. "I probably would have failed that too... Mine would end up looking like a dinosaur." Why was she so lame all the sudden?

"Beauxbatons," She repeated slowly. "Oh! I remember someone telling me about that school." Such a funny name, Beauxbatons. "So do you like it here so far? Better than Beauxbatons?" Eh, eh?

Dani smirked- "You won't fail" she said softly- "But knowing me, I'm gonna get all Trolls" she said, her eyes widening at the thought of what her Uncle James would think... and Luke was going to be so disappointed. Never mind her actual parents, however much she hated her Dad... She sighed and shrugged those negative thoughts away and smiled- "Ahh, divination- that was all tarot cards, and I still found that hard!" she laughed as she sighed.

"Oh, I miss Beauxbatons a lot... it was very different to here. I guess... I can't even really compare them..." she laughed as she shrugged a little. "I really like it here, but in different ways to how I liked Beauxbatons.... if ya get me?" she smirked.

Charlie Trina wandered down the corridor towards the Courtyard looking for a friend of her's. She was hoping to maybe freak out her friend as the girl didn't know who she was now but she knew all about her. *Evil grin*

Trina Charlie walked down the hallway and managed to glimpse someone very familiar, in fact, her own face. She blinked and did a double take, but then shook her head. The polyjuice thing was weirding her out. She dismissed her discomfort and wandered on, wondering if Charlie Trina was as weirded out as her.

Knowing her she might just fail, what what did she say get all Trolls? "What do you mean your going to get all Trolls?" Wasn't a troll a creature? Did those even exist? "So when do you guys get your results back? Do they have to send them to you during holiday because the term is practically over." Sigh. She wanted to stay here forever. No one really understood her at home. It was so hard trying to explain things to her parents even and she couldn't even talk about school outside her family. It wasn't really fair at all.

"Yeah, yeah I think I do?" Sort of."I'm sure that Beauxbatons place is pretty cool too." Hogwarts is amazing so that place probably was too. "So are you still in touch with all of your old friends?" That would be hard for Nika. Letting go of everyone that she had already gotten to know.

"It's the worst result you can get" Dani sighed, eyes widening a bit in fear, but she sighed deeply and let that go. "If I've got them- I'm in trouble" Okay, she couldn't help but smirk a bit then, if she'd got all Trolls then... surely there'd be some way to fix it. Oh well.

"Oh it is. It's a Palace... literally a Palace" she emphasised- yes, on looks, buildings and general stuff, Beauxbatons was better. But it was all a bit... flouncy, for Dani's liking, the teaching was uber slow. "Yeah I am- I mean... I was like... one of the Queen Bees there" she smirked- "And people from there still kinda look up to me. Which I suppose is good" she laughed.

"Oh." Why didn't they have Troll as a mark when she went to school in muggle London. Troll is a lot cooler than getting a "failure". "Well I'm sure you did fine." Eh, she seemed smart. "So what's your favorite subject?" Well that was sort of random, but it sort of went along with the topic... Kind of. Well they were talking about OWLs and Dani had to take them for every subject. So technically it wasn't that random.... Kind of.

If Beauxbatons was a palace then what did she consider Hogwarts!? In Nika's book this is a palace. A bit old and rough looking, but still she considered it a palace. "Wow, that must have been pretty awesome!" Nika liked the idea of being someone everyone looked up to, but she'd rather be "just Nika" and not have some "Queen Bee" title. Just then Nika's eyes opened rather widely as she thought about it. Beauxbatons didn't that meanie Orabelle girl go there!? If anyone was probably a Queen Bee she probably was one too. That's probably how she became so stuck up and-- "So do you know Orabelle," The mean Slytherin that told me not to breathe her air, "Because I think someone told me that she used to go to your old school too." And why couldn't she stay there.

"Aww thanks... and erm... well, I like DODA... but then I guess History of Magic is sorta interesting... " Dani smirked a little before sighing- "I like Potions too... oh gosh, I've said like three subjects" she laughed- "How about your favourtie subjects?" she asked softly.

"Yeah it was awesome... and Orabelle's my best friend... but she's actually going back to Beauxbatons" she smirked at Nika, okay- Nika looked a little worried, maybe it was a good thing for her that 'Belle was going back, but it just upset Dani. Oh well, she'd see her a lot over Summer and stuff- so she wasn't too worried. "I'm gonna miss her" she sighed sadly.

DADA, hmmm well that was a fun one, but History of Magic. Blegh. This term it was alright though. "I never really liked History to much, but this term the class was actually a lot of fun!" Yes, hopefully the new party professor will give them some more cake next term too. "Potions," she repeated slowly, "I think potions is interesting... It's just Lafay." Shiver. "My favorite is divination and I also like Care of Magical Creatures a lot too." Many people told her that divination was all just made up stuff, but Nika didn't believe a bit of that.

"Oh that's cool," She said with a forced smile. She was cringing on the inside though. Why would anyone befriend Orabelle? Okay so maybe Nika shouldn't have had hugged her for hug a Slytherin day and all, but still. One can not just "own" the air. "She-she's leaving?" Nika raised her eyebrows and her tone got brighter, "I mean that's really sad. I'm sorry. My best friend is leaving this term too." And Nika decided never to talk to her again because of that and... Not a smart move on her part because she doesn't even have a chance to say goodbye. Although Orabelle moving was great news, she felt bad for Dani because she was in the same position. So instead of doing the happy dance that she was craving to do she just nodded apologetically.

"Sure." He supposed. Jimmy shrugged one shoulder contentedly. He'd never had a 'heavy crush' before. Just general like, and one situation where it was something more undefined.

"I don't really care what others think anymore. I mean I do but.... if I'm nice its because I wanna be and not because people expect it or because I'm trying to get something."

"Alright, we'll figure something out. I dunno where I'll be yet." Truth. It was nice to be whimsical about it and not have any sort of exact plan in mind.

Not for him at least.

Cassie allowed her mind to stray for a little as she relaxed against Jimmy. The months had flown by pretty quickly but she had some how managed to accomplish a lot. She had found herself, found her friends..real friends and was now comfortable with who she. She had done a lot of growing up,which was certainly needed. Maybe now she would be better with dealing with stuff at home..stuff that had always seemed so hard for her. Now she realised that she was just spoiled.

She nodded."Yeah and I think I needed to kind of be around you and see that and experience it?" She had expected dating Jim to be different she supposed. Seeing him when she wanted and getting what she wanted, when she wanted it, like it was for her with everything else. It wasn't so with him and though she had found it hard in the beginningm she was a lot better at dealing with it now." I mean, I really like that about you, I like that I'm unable to define you or figure you out completely and I'm sure that mystery is what strings all the other little girlies along." She grinned up at him.

By that she was sure he meant he didn't even know where he would be off to yet, and she probably wouldn't know until he actually got there."O.k,I'm starting to like these impromptu things you do now anyways."

She was being all thoughtful and Jim stroked her hair gently, being sure not to muss it.

He listened.

"Yeah you know, I've always felt like people want me to be something, you know, pigeon-hole me or whatever. That's what all those rumours are an attempt to do, and people think they know me but I'm not sure if anyone really does." Except one person but that was annoying to think about so he didn't. He smiled back at her a bit distractedly as he thought about what she was saying. It was funny that the girls he tended to go with were the types that expected the world handed to them on a silver platter, but that wasn't something he would ever do.

It was hit and miss.

Marie had freaked herself out over it all, and sometimes he felt like Cassie was on the verge of that too but right now she was showing that maybe she got it and maybe she was okay with it. Jim wasn't anyone's to order about, and the word 'whipped' just never applied, but he was loyal and he had a moral code of his very own that he stuck to religiously.

"Life would be boring if it were predictable." He added in reply to her last comment.

Cassie frowned slightly as she listened to James. She was one of those guilty of 'pigeon-holing' him like he said and she felt bad about it now. She had gotten wind of a lot of the little rumours circulating the school and they had rocked her security a little. Something the always confident Cassie never thought would happen. She needed this though, if her and Jim for whatever reasons didn't work out, she would have taken a lot of good from the relationship.

"I think I might have done that too. I guess I didn't like feeling like I didn't have any control or that I didn't know you enough.." And some of his friends were hell bent on rubbing that fact in.

She chuckled lightly."Yeah..it would be pretty boring if every next step was planned and predetermined. Which is why you should come with me to the lagoon. We've never gone swimming." She spun a round a little so she could sort of face him and pouted. Yeah this never worked with Treyen but maybe it would work with her boyfriend...or not. Didn't matter, nothing beat a try but a fail.

"People should only have control over themselves." Jim answered. That was kind of what bothered him about other stuff. It was like there was only one part of his life where he had no control over himself and he resented it kind of a lot. Or he had at one point, now he was just getting used to it or something.

"Even people that think they know me, maybe don't know me all that well." He commented. "Besides, isn't it better to still have things to discover?" He was content not knowing all there was to know about Cassie for that reason, it made it nice to have the possibility of new to it all.

"The lagoon?" He eyed the pout and laughed a bit. "You gotta work on that." He flicked her lip.

"But yeah, why not?"

So clearly this was Ravenclaw Jim that she was talking to, seeing as he was being all philosophical and right and what not." Yeah I guess you're right.."Which he seemed to be most of the time. She didn't mind though, she liked learning new things, so someone else being right was never a problem to her and she was never too proud to admit being wrong or not knowing something.

Well she didn't have much to say on the issues seeing that James knew his friends and she didn't. She had to go along with what he said about them and sometimes what they said about him, until she knew stuff for herself that is."Mhm, I was pleasantly surprised when I found out you had a green thumb." Those flowers he gave her were the best gifts she had gotten.

Cassie laughed too and shrugged."Yeah but see I don't normally have to pout to get something I want, but I'm sure I will perfect the art in time." She bit her lip after he flicked it then let out an excited squeal before detaching herselfreluctantly from him and trying to pull him to his feet. She wanted to [see shirtless Jim swim nooooow.

"Yeah." He grinned at her a bit sheepishly. "I find it relaxing you know? Herbology is my favourite, and potions after that," And definitely Ancient Runes though he had a hard time admitting it, "And.... well I used to really like flying." His face clouded a bit. He still hadn't had the all clear about going back to Quidditch. He hoped he would.... but there was the chance he'd never play again, which was a horrible thing to think.

"You wouldn't be trying to manipulate me with that pouting business now would you?" He teased a bit and then laughed as she started pulling him up.

"Alright I'm coming. Lead the way." He'd just summon his swim trunks and change with a switching charm once they were down there.
