Statues Two statues stand out on the fifth floor: Boris the Bewildered and Gregory the Smarmy. Beside Gregory the Smarmy is a roped off section of swamp, left in honor of the famous Weasley twins: Fred and George, founders of the joke shop chain, Weasley Wizard Wheezes. |
After walking around the school for a couple of hours, Marie just felt the need to stop doing it and sit down for a bit, or maybe just relax and not think about the next few days, when lessons would start getting tough and why not, go insane doing homework just to forget some of her problems; like her mother trying to reach her through owls, or the fact that she was receiving notices from St. Mungo's about Robert's condition. She just didn't want to think about that anymore. And why not, as soon as she saw the stone statues, Marie was wishing to be one of them already. |
Even though she was getting tired, she kept walking along the corridor. She stopped near the two statues and admired them. ‘They look great’, Gwen affirmed loudly to the girl that was standing beside. |
Her thinking went much through into her mind, making Marie not notice the first year come into the room of statues and all of the sudden, waking her up of her daydream with her affirmation about the statues. Marie turned to look at her, and smiled assertively. "Yep...sometimes they look so real that it seems that they can give you strange crazy ideas to create some fun chaos..." Inspiring chaos, not the one that'd get you in trouble, if not seen by professors. |
Yes...interesting,the girl thought. After a short break, she added:'I'm Gwen, by the way....First year Ravenclaw'. She kept announcing the ouse she had been sorted into maybe too often...but that was just because she was proud of it. |
Gwen, first year Ravenclaw, eh? "Nice to meet you Gwen. I'm Marie, and I'm on my fifth year in the same house." Which kind of meant that people were proud of it. She was proud of the brain she had, no doubt, to just stuck in data until the day she would use it. And just to make a little chat, "How are you liking the school so far?" She asked her. |
Gwen made big eyes when the other girl told her she was on her fifth year. 'Um..I find it great....I mean, ever since I got my letter from Hogwarts I was thrilled about it. Still am...I started checking out the castle...don't want to miss anything', she replied. Then, she made a break. She had one question she was willing to ask someone. One thing she didn't quite know from all the books she had read...HOW do I earn housepoints?, she kept thinking and finally asked Marie about it. 'So...what can I do to earn housepoints?',she replied. For her, competition was fun. |
Emily :D Sigh. School was sooooo stressful. All he wanted to do was curl up into a ball and sleep for about a billion hours, and hopefully when he woke up everything would be better. His schoolwork would be all done for him. He wouldn't be fighting with Sierra. He could look HER in the eye without feeling terrified, angry and hurt at the same time. The common room was too loud, so Alex decided to take a walk and chill somewhere quiet and draw. "Sup dudes?" he said happily to the statue he leaned against as he pulled out some parchment and his quill, ready to draw again. HMMM. What did he want to draw this time? After a few moments, he settled on the statue directly across the corridor from him. Tongue sticking out slightly between his lips, he began to sketch it, happy to get a break from schoolwork. |

After a day of exhausting lessons and exhausting big-shoe walking, Jamie Keaton found himself and his shoes along the fifth floor where he came across some statues. He lingered by the Fred and George one, of course. They were legends and Jamie wanted to be like them. It would be a slow but sure process, but it would happen! Flinching as he heard a voice, the boy's head peered to the other statues, with a curious eyebrow raised. No way! Small world! Or... small school. It was Jamie's new Hufflepuff friend, Alex! He remembered, and only hoped that he would, too. "Heyyy, Alex! It's me - Jamie from Slytherin house." What was he saying, who could forgot Jamie? "I thought I recognized the voice talking to statues." Like THAT wasn't weird at all. He kept shtum, though. "Oh, you draw?" That was pretty cool. Jamie had no particularly cool hobbies, apart from skateboarding. But was that a hobby? Drawing was. Argh. Why were Hufflepuffs so uncontrollably cool? It aggravated Jamie sometimes. |
Quote:
"Hey!" he said with a smile. He nodded and looked down at his drawing. "Yeah, a little bit, when I'm bored," he said with a shrug. His drawings were nothing special, at least he didn't think so. It was just a way to pass the time and de-stress when he was feeling frazzled. "Do you draw?" he asked. It'd be cool to meet someone who didn't think he was weird for drawing doodles all over his notes. |
Quote:
HIM, draw? Err, "I draw stick people over my notebook sometimes." Times when he should be listening and writing down important information. Yes, that was the only drawing that Jamie Keaton did. "If that counts." He chuckled. No, that didn't count. Moving on. "SO... what year are you in?" Jamie asked, realizing that they hadn't really got many opportunities to chat in HoM. The only thing that was established was their names and houses. And the third year wanted to get to know Alex because he was... |
Quote:
"Nah, that totally counts! I draw on my stuff all the time too...that probably explains why my marks were so low last year," he joked with a small chuckle. He was actually sort of serious. Maybe if he could multi-task and be able to draw AND listen at the same time that'd be ok. "I'm a second year," he explained. He braced himself for the impending comment on his height...people were usually shocked to hear he was so young. Stupid puberty. "What about you?" he asked. |
Quote:
Second year? Instantly, Jamie puffed out his chest to look cooler. He was older, after all. "Third year, me." He said proudly, weirdly enough, deepening his voice, too. "You don't look like a second year." The pair looked ultimately reversed. The Slytherin had the height of a 7 year old girl. On a whim, Jamie shuffled to the middle of the floor and did a forward roll. No announcement needed to be made! He had to do a forward roll. FIFTY of them, to be exact. After completing two, the third year looked to Alex and decided to continue the conversation whilst he was partaking in the DADA assignment. "So, you must've been at Hogwarts last year, right?" He knew this because Alex had just mentioned about his last year marks, "what is FUN to do around here?" 'Cause Jamie had yet to find much! As it was time, he rolled again. That made THREE. 3/50 |
Ella wandered down the corridoor, holding her books. Stopping Ella wrinkled her nose, flipping back her dark hair. Bleurgh What was that?!? Slowly she walked a bit further down and spotted the roped off area. No way.. Ella knew exactly what this was. Ella stood there and just looked at the swamp. It was coooool |

Matt grinned, eyes wide as he ventured into the dark, unexplored region of this vast stone fortress... Oh yeah. Self-over-exagerative-commentry. He had it in the bag. His eyes scanned the few students that lined the statues hallways. Then he spotted a familiar face he hadn't seen in donkeys. The mere sight of her made the smile on his face widen magnificently. Pushing his floppy fringe out of his face, he broke out into a jog, his hands colliding with her shoulders as he grabbed her from behind. "Ella!" |

He stumbled back as she blew in his face, making a noise which sounded a bit like a strangled monkey. Once he'd recovered, and officially prevented himself from falling over - which was generally typically inevitable, he looked up at her face. She seemed...irritable. It was odd. She was always so...bubbly. Feisty. Rawr. There was something off. It was weird. He smiled at her sheepishly. "I don't really know where I've been." He rubbed the back of his neck, smile turning to frown. "Alone?" How could Ella be alone? He figured she had lots of friends. She never really seemed to stop talking... But this...THIS WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE. He followed her, placing his rump beside her's. "What's up, Els?" |

Oh no. Now she was looking at him. In that cunning Ella-ish way. "Singing?" he said, exasperated. There was singing too? He shook his head, grinning in defeat. "I must've zoned out so bad in that lesson." He looked back up at her. "I can sing amazingly." He cocked his eyebrows. "It's the dancing I'm worried about..." |
Quote:
Merh. She danced solo, not with some beginner who got in her way.. Maybe she should find Leo.. he was the only one out of her brothers who could dance properly Wait.. NO! She couldn't dance with her brother.. she'd look like a right loon. -.- *sigh* 'I could help you and Zara too, if you struggle.' She grinned, and shimmied her shoulders, her eyes bright. 'A team dancing project, mwaha!' She nodded her head. |
Quote:
He nodded. "Okay." Then frowned. "What does dancing have to do with magic anyway?" He chuckled sheepishly. "I think struggling is almost inevitable." He grimaced and rubbed his neck. "Two left feet, me." |
Quote:
'I'll sing first too, if you like. I don't mind' She shrugged. Then she clapped her hands together. 'Look what I can do now! My brother helped me, he can do loads of stuff like this.' Leaving her stuff by Matt she got up. 'Ready?' She grinned, stepping away from him. Turning to the side she lifted her arms up and started to lean back. The lower down she went, her back arched and finally her hands touched the floor. 'Tada!' Her voice was muffled, her hair over her face. She pushed with her feet, and her legs went over. She was standing again in a few second. Bowing she grinned, her eyes shining. 'I nearly snapped my back the first time, but I can do loads of stuff now! Like my Leo!' She sat back down. 'eurgh.. it still makes me feel sick though..' |
Quote:
Matt laughed again. The four of them. The...quartet? Now, that'd be a sight to see. It sounded pretty awesome actually. Then he merely stared. "Woah." She was like...elastic, or something. "You made of rubber?" he asked, with a sheepish chuckle. He couldn't deny it though - it was impressive. He figured she practised a lot. And he guessed her brother was amazing at dancing too. "Impressive stuffs, Els." he said, raising his eyebrows at her as she sat back down. "You should go professional." |

Leaning forward, Ella went into a forward roll and sat facing Matt. 'So, Matty Matt Matt.' She grinned, her eyes narrowed slightly. 'Your turn to show me some skills now!' She punched him gently on his shoulder, looking at his floppy hair. 'Does it not irritate you?..' She shuddered, and mimed her hand being scissors. 'How does your Mam not chop it off?!' Ella grinned again. 'Hey, you're not still scared of me are you?' She raised an eyebrow. She remembered when she first spoke to him clearly.. she had been.. a meanie? |
Quote:
She was like a monkey. He blinked. Matty Matt Matt? He grinned. "Yes Ellalalaa?" Ow. Ignore punch pain. IGNORE IT. "My...skills?" He frowned. "Find me a piano and I'll show you my skills." he said finally, smirking. Considering there didn't seem to be much chance of a piano being found in Hogwarts, it seemed he wouldn't have to show her his skills and that way, no more human tomato. He was easily embarassed...*blush blush* He gasped, feigning shock. "My fringe is smexy." He grinned, and stuck his tongue out. The young Gryffindor bit his lip, holding back a grin. "I'm terrified." he said, rubbing the back of his neck. |
