Samira actually chuckled at the younger girl when she said she would slllllooooowwwwlllllllllyyyy walk away. The dark-haired girl smirked. "You make us sound like we're wild animals that will bite if you're not careful." In some ways, that was true. But she could figure that out on her own. Samira usually didn't have a conversation (if you could even call this a conversation) without making introductions. She flicked a stray curl behind her shoulder and said, "Samira Spinks. Second year Slytherin." She raised an eyebrow at the girl as if to say, "And you are?"

Layla didn't want to make Samira mad at her for insulting Slytherin. "There are rumors..." She said. Was Samira one of those mean Slytherins? If she was, it would be second year Slytherin against first year Hufflepuff-not a good combination. She seemed nice. Maybe if she just started a bit of conversation... "It's very nice to meet you Samira. I'm Layla Javan, first year Hufflepuff." Layla said. "So, Daily Prophet... good paper..." Said Layla, realizing how stupid that sounded. This conversation was not going to start well...

Arabella-Marie wandered over to the Slytherin table and took a seat it was pretty good that it was pretty quiet and hoped that she would make some more slytherin friends soon

Adrianna walked into the Great hall and sat next to a girl she didn't know. "Hi! I'm Adrianna Charday. I'm in Second Year. You?" she asked, her dark red locks falling over her eyes.

Arabella-Marie smiled at Adrianna and said "Hi Adrianna, I am Arabella-Marie Kingston and im in my third year"

FINALLY! He had finally found the Great Hall!

Daichi's stomach had been growling ever since the History of Magic class had ended and he had had in mind to grab something to eat before going back to the Common Rooms. However his ability to get lost got him wandering around for fifteen minutes. Too scared to ask students where the Great Hall was because he thought they would laugh at him. But he some how managed to find it and he couldn't help but grin as he opened up the door.

Daichi looked around.. now... which table was his again? He noticed that students from all houses where sitting every where so he decided to do the same thing. Reaching one of the tables, Daichi placed Mr.Duckles his plushed duck on the table next to his plate and grabbed a pancake. But the Pancake looked so boring! He needed to find the syrup! Scanning the table with his eyes, Daichi found the syrup at the other side of the table and he siiiighed before grabbing his wand. Now, how did that spell go again? Daichi bit his lower lip as he tried to remember the levitating charm. He pointed his wand at the syrup and made a swish and flick movement while saying the incantation. To his utter surprise he had done it! It was floating in the air and making it's way towards him! "WAAAH EVERYONE LOOOOOK! I DID IT!" His pride was short lived as he forgot to concentrate and the Syrup bottle smashed on the table close by him. Eeeeh?! That wasn't suppose to happen! He quickly jumped up and grabbed a tissue from out of his pocket, trying to clean up the spilled syrup... poor syrup..

Hurrying into the Great Hall, Ella pushed her long dark curls behind her.

Not concentrating as she hurried past the Slytherin table she suddenly felt something splat onto her. Stopping dead she scowled and slowly, she looked down. A large dollop of stickly, disgusting syrup had attached itself to her robes. Grrrrr.

Looking swiftly across at the table she saw one of the firsties hastily mopping up spilt syrup. She just stared.

Daichi had the feeling someone was staring at him. He mopped up the delicious syrup with his tissue and after some moments he couldn't help but look up. The feeling had him nervous and he looked around when his eyes landed on a girl close by. He wanted to smile and wave at her when he saw the syrup..on..her..robe O_o "Waaah! i'm soooo sorry!" he squealed and grabbed the girl's robe, trying to wipe the syrup off with another tissue he had grabbed from his pocket. But only succeeded in making an even worse stain. When he was done with his work he had the look of pride on his features but upon seeing the stain he scream again. "NOOO! That wasn't suppose to happen!" He looked up at the girl who , after some close looking , turned out to be around his age. Phew luckily it wasn't a old student. Wait was he doing he should DO something. He dropped on his knees on the ground and bowed deeply. "So sorry! please don't kill me!" or shout or punch him or...

Ella blinked as the boy grabbed her robes.. trying not to laughed at the horrified expression on the boys face. Her anger had evaporated suddenly as he dived to his knees.

Ella couldn't help it; she burst out laughing. Holding out her hand she smiled. 'It's okay, really!' Ella looked at the stain. 'It'll come out in the wash.. I'm Ella. First year Gryffindor!'

She wondered if the boy would accept her help to get back up.. [I]Probably thinks I'm going to hit him..'[/B] She grinned.

Daichi couldn't help but look up with his eyes from on the ground as he heard the girl laughing. He sighed the breath he hadn't realised he had been holding. Honestly , he thought the girl would freak out because

girls+dirty clothes= major disaster for boys.

Luckily the girl wasn't angry at him and he looked up to see a hand in front of his face. He grabbed it with a stupid smile on his face and used her hand to get up. "Again..sorry.." he muttered. "I'm Daichi , first year Slytherin! and this is Mr.Du-" he cut his sentence when he noticed his plushed duck wasn't in his arms. He looked back at the table at quickly ran towards the duck and then ran back to Ella. "Mr.Duckles!" he said proudly and held the duck in front of her face , grinning.

Whoever placed him in Slytherin had to be barking mad.

Ella raised her eyebrows as the boy grabbed a pretty, plush duck from the table. Oh wow. The kid had a toy duck.
She grinned and reached her hand out to touch his head.

'N'aw, he's pretty.' She smiled at Daichi.

She nodded. 'Nice to meet you, Daichi.' She grinned.

Rumors. What rumors? Samira would love to hear who started these so-called rumors and give them a good hexing.

Hm. Layla seemed polite enough. It was amazing how many rude first years there were. At least Layla introduced herself. Samira gave a small, genuine smile and cocked her head to one side. "Nice to meet you, too, Layla Javan." The Hufflepuff part was kind of obvious, but Samira didn't mention that. She was a little impressed that the Puffer actually walked to the Slytherin Table on her own. It seemed like such a Gryffindor thing to do.

Wow. Layla really sucked at making conversation. Daily Prophet? Good paper? Merlin, they might as well have been talking about the weather! But the Slytherin was good at taking awkward situations in stride, so she smoothly replied, "Yes, the Prophet is really informative. I prefer Witch Weekly myself, though." Samira eyed the girl and leaned in slightly. "Did you hear about the ship that appeared in the lake?" Creepy. Samira didn't want to freak the Puffer out, but it made for good gossip.

Walking into the Great Hall with Matty on her arm Marie out of habit went to the Slytherin table. Not spotting any of her friends she lead them over to the middle of the table siting on the side with their backs facing the wall... so they could see who was coming and going. "I hope you don't mind sitting over here tonight." They could sit at his table next time if he wanted.

"Here's just fine." *Matty smiled and sat down after she had. It was habit, or manners training that his uncle made him do all his life. Looking at all the food he laughed a little.*

"No fair you get better food than us badgers."
*He gave her a wink and started loading up his plate. Normally he would have waited for her to go first, manners, but his stomach was about to growl again and he did not want another poke from her.*

"So, have I missed much in potions?"
*It was the one class he hadn't been going to, only because he knew it would be to hard to be there with her. That wouldn't be a problem any longer.*

Aurora made her way over to the Slytherin table, she was tired and worried and just needed to eat. That morning she had received a letter that brought some incredibly worrying news and she was trying not to think about it.
She sat down at one end of the Slytherin table and closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. Then she spooned something, anything, on to her plate and tried to eat.

She thought Mr.Duckles was pretty?!
waaaaaah~!

Daichi hugged the girl out of the blue. EVERYONE who liked Mr.Duckles was someone who he liked too. Realising he was hugging a complete stranger , Daichi quickly pushed himself away from her and looked down at the ground. "Sorry!" he said and when he looked down he noticed the syrup stain on his robe. "Waah! get it off get it off!" He grabbed another tissue and tried to wipe it off.

Failing to do so, Daichi sighed in defeat and walked back to the table with a gloomy expression. He sat down as he grabbed another syrup bottle that had stood on his other si--EEH? why hadn't he seen that one!? He wanted to cry , right now. But he didn't! He was a man!

Stuffing himself with the pancake he had placed on his plate before the incident, Daichi motioned the girl to sit. "Nwice two mweet youw twoo" he said with his mouth full and swallowed the pancake. "How are you liking this HUGE! castle so far?" he asked and grabbed another pancake.

Ella gasped as the boy braced her with a hug. She patted his back, grinning. 'It's fine..' Looking at his rode, she bit her lip as she saw the stain.

'Give it here..' Getting to her knees Ella took the tissue, licked it and began scrubbing at Daichi's robes. Standing back up, Ella admired her stain removing skills. Muggle style. 'There!' Ella grinned at him.

Sitting beside him she wrinkled her nose at the pancake. 'Bleurgh, how can you eat them with all that syrup?..
She shrugged. 'It's cool, I suppose.' She watched him eat the pancake, her eyebrows raised slightly.

'So.. have you brought any other erm.. pets(?) with you apart from Mr Duckles?' She reached out again to wipe a bit of syrup of the ducks head.

Waaah?! why was she kneeling? he wasn't a King or something!
Hmmm.. to be a king is awesome though. Add another thing on his list of what he wants to become. But, he is no prince so he had to marry a princess to become king right? What is all this rambling about kings?

Daichi looked at his robe where the stain had been. It had vanished without a trace and he couldn't help but look in awe. "Woah!" was the only thing he could utter and quickly turned around before the girl would see his blushing face.

Continueing to stuff his mouth full with pancakes, his ear twitched when the girl said blegh to the syrup! "Twis Delwicious!" he said with a stupid grin and grabbed yet ANOTHER pancake. "Nwo, jwust Mwr.Dwuckles" he said meaning that he had only brought Mr.Duckles with him. "We do have a family owl named Vivi." she is coooool and oooooold. "Do you have any pets?" he asked as he grabbed the syrup , spilling more on the table than on the pancake. He saw it and quickly grabbed his tissue, cleaning the table. He should really practise some spells by now..

As soon as she enters the Great Hall, Aiden quickly takes a seat at an empty sit on Slytherin's table.

She takes a few roast chicken and put them on her plate before she sees an ill-looking housemate. Leaning forward against the table, Aiden's cold grey eyes look into Aurora's. "Are you all right?" she asks silently. Almost sounding like a whisper.

:: Ganymede was sitting near a boy who seemed to have had too much excitement potion. "What a annoying klutz.." She whispered under her breath as she reached for her glass of juice. Although, he was quite entertaining, yet messy. If ever Ganymede wanted a diversion... he'd be a great candidate for the position.

Ganymede continued to survey her house mates. Including a pale looking girl who seemed to be trying to eat something. She looked like she was ready to fall over from worry. Another girl was talking with her. This was incredible. How will Slytherin ever get the House Cup with these people.

On top of it, a Hufflepuff was sitting at the Slytherin Table. And she thought she saw a Gryffindor. How will they get any strategy going if other houses have their noses in Slytherins business. Ganymede's paranoia jumped higher a few rungs and she slouched down, half hiding behind the hood of her robe.

"Perhaps being friendly was the strategy, then somehow with cunning, we will strike the other houses down while making ourselves come out on top?" Her thoughts ran with the idea and her hood came down to reveal a half smile. Her short purple hair was smooth around her ears except for a cowlick at the crown. Her green eyes sparkled and she leaned toward the boy with the duck.

"So, I heard that the Professional Quidditch season nearly didn't happen this year due to contract problems and a pair of fwoopers." She threw out, hoping to get some conversation started with him. ::

Ella raised her eyebrows in amusment as he stared at his now clean robes. Yes, she did have cleaning skills. She laughed at his face.

Ella laughed as he continued to shovel pancake inot his mouth. Wow, was the boy's stomach a bottomless pit?.. She would of been sick by now!
'I have a little black cat, called Henry and we have a family owl.' She smiled. Reaching out, Ella wiped a bit of syrup of the duck's head.

Resting her chin on her hands she looked up and down the table, but she wasn't hungry.
'Which lessons are you liking so far?' She turned back to Daichi, smiling.

Aurora almost jumped out of her skin, someone was talking to her. She looked up, recognising the girl. "Um, Aiden right? I- I'm... fine." She shoveled more food into her mouth, looking down at her plate of spaghetti bolognese. "So how are you?"

Marie looked up and down the table at the food that was there with a funny look on her face. "I thought the same food was on all the tables." She really should venture out to the other tables more often. Well, she had been at all the tables, she just never really paid any attention to the food that was on them.

Pulling a plate closer to her she loaded it up with fresh fruit. Yum, watermelon, strawberries, grapes. She could live on fruit if she had to. Once her plate was full she grabbed a pitcher of juice and poured some into two cups. "I hope you like pumpkin juice. It seems to be a specialty here at the snake table." She said grinning as she set a cup in front of him.

Just as she popped a strawberry in her mouth he asked about potions. Ugh, classes. The only class she had been to actually. She really needed to start getting to classes if she planned on moving ahead to her 7th year and passing NEWTS. That is if they didn't get canceled like OWLs did last term. "Um, we made a shriveling potion. That's about it." Nothing too exciting. "You know I did notice that you weren't in class." That was about the only thing she had noticed. She didn't even pay attention to what had been going on with Josh and Destiny, or to the fact that Lafay took Josh's hands away from him. "You can use my notes if you want. You know, to help you with your homework... that is if you plan on doing it." Of course he would have to be able to read around all the hearts with his name her doodling she had done too. "On second thought, maybe I better just make a copy of my notes for you."

*Giving her a smirk he winked at her and leaned over whispering.*
"They are all the same, I was only messing with you."

*Shrugging at her comment about him not being to class he started to eat for a bit then answered her.*
"I didn't go for two reasons, one I knew you would be there and it would have been to hard to see you and... yeah. Two was because of Lafay... it might have been just me but when we were taking Riley to the Hospital Wing the first night... I think she was checking me out..."
*He laughed a little and took a drink from his cup.*

"The food may be all the same but the fruit over here is the best." Picking up a grape she popped it in his mouth.

"You know, it was just as hard being there and not seeing you." She had a whole parchment full of just how much she had missed him not being in class. "We won't have to worry about that now..."

"Lafay... was checking you out?" How on earth did she miss that? Oh right, she was busy trying not to get hurled on by Riley. But WHY was her head of house checking out her boyfriend who wasn't her boyfriend at the time? Well she knew why. He was very nice to look at after all, but geesh... Lafay is OLD. Shouldn't she be checking out someone like... Vinny.
