The Great Hall was buzzing as Marilyn made her way inside. There was something about today...Something in the air that even had the gloomy Slytherin in a light, playful mood. She was actually smirking, something that the blonde hadn't practiced in a while...And who'd ever heard of a Slytherin that didn't smirk? It just didn't make sense.

Nearing her house table, she noticed two things at once...She was, indeed, starving...and her cousin was there. Well, one of them, anyway...The extra blonde one...with another Gryffindor. One Marilyn wasn't at all familiar with...He was obviously one of Carter's friends. She wasn't sure why..but this bothered her greatly. Caroline could dump Carter for something stupid...and then be fraternizing with other Gryffindor boys. His friends?

"Well, well, well...Look what we have here."

Samira made her way into the Great Hall quickly. Her stomach was growling, and she was starved. The Slytherin usually didn't eat much, but right now she could probably eat an army of cows. The problem was, she didn't know what kind of foods Aiden ate, let alone if she ate a lot, or a little. As Samira sat down at her House Table, she once again thanked Melin that Aiden was also a Slytherin. It would be awkward to sit at a House Table she was totally unfamiliar with. Deciding to only take a modest amount of food incase Aiden really didn't eat much, Samira filled her plate with food. After munching on it for a while, she mused about when the Polyjuice would wear off...

Caroline blinked a couple of times. "I did think it through. And I'm NOT toying with him." That was what she wanted, to be back with him. It was as if no one knew that people can make mistakes. And the break up was a mistake. Didn't anyone understand that? That since she left that trophy she'd been lost, so lost. All she wanted has a break, she thought that's what they both needed. Obviously she was wrong. She needed him and somewhere deep downside she knew that he needed her.

She was about to open her mouth and snap back at him again, over taking her folk again. As if anything could make this worse, Marilyn had to put her nose into it. She was on Marilyn's good side, or so she thought she was. And she planned on staying there, but she doubted they were, after breaking up with Carter. She looked up at her cousin. "Marilyn." with no expression on her face, just the red eyes that she had from crying earlier still lingered there.

Really? She was going that low. " Excuse me? Does this really look like I'm moving on?" There was no phsyical contract made. No snogging. Not even any flirting going on. She was just dumpping her problems on a friend that was all. They were friends nothing more.

Jai didn't want to get into it with these two but he decided to intervene,"Come'on now Marilyn, that's a little unfair. We're just friends. I don't have any interest in Caroline like that." he said, casting a meaningful look at her. He really wouldn't want to jeopardize his friendship with both Carter and Caroline. He was Switzerland, neutral ground, just a friend.

Marilyn glared at her meanly, ignoring whatever the Gryffindor was saying. This wasn't about him..."You still care about him?" She couldn't help herself...She began laughing...really laughing. Rather hard.

"Caroline, you need to just forget about it...Seriously." Smirking, she took a seat, deciding upon some fresh fruit. "In fact, I think it'd be pretty smart of you."

Jai sighed,"Caroline, are you ok?" he said, rubbing her shoulder gently."Don't worry about it...."

Jai smiled a sinister grin at her and said,"Well, you'll have no problem leaving then and backing off your cousin since this stranger is speaking to her. Right?" He may be gentle in nature but had a streak that was not to crossed in the wrong direction.

"And since you don't know me, you'd do well in keeping your tone polite and not offensive. There is no telling how a stranger might respond." he kept his voice quiet with an underlining warning in his tone.

Caroline just sat there with her head on the table. She wasn't going to say a word. Because whatever came out of her mouth would it wrong or she would be made into the bad person there. She knew that would be ones that would take up for Carter. Sure she had people that saw her side of things too. But no one really understood. She was hurting too, and her heart was broken as well. But obviously not nowhere near as bad she had hurt him.

But that still didn't mean that she didn't care ahout him. She thought that she was during the right thing for them. She thought that they needed a break. It was good for both of them. She had just gotten back from Italy, and she felt so different. She didn't feel like the same girl, when she left here. Her whole life was a lie and she was confused about that. She just needed to figure out somethings. All she wanted was a break just a damn break. So she could think clearly about the stuff she needed to. And had she gotten that break yet. NO because she couldn't stop think about him, and how much she missed him to think about anything else. Including her OWLs which she probably failed all of them. She heard Jai tell her to leave she spoke into the table but still clearly. "No if she wants to stay she can stay!"

Marilyn's eyes snapped to the guy that had just uttered those words. What had he just said to her? Did he really want to do this with her?

"Excuse me, Gryffindor...but you are at MY house table and I don't have to go anywhere." She glared at him openly, her voice maintaining it's even tone. "You should know that I don't take kindly to insults. You obviously don't know me...because I'm not above hurting someone..."

She looked to Caroline, pointing her finger at the girl, something she wasn't akin to doing...but this was a needing situation. "This is between MALFOY family and if you want to suffer severe repercussions, continue putting yourself in the middle of it."

She'd said her piece...Now back to that pineapple...

Elektra had walked back with Rafe into the castle after their sudden buzz kill of an encounter with Vindictus. It was the first time Rafe saw the Sliytherin side of Elektra and it was the first time Elektra noticed something completely different from Rafe. His eyes...they...changed. Why? She didn't know, but she never thought to bring it up. She was still filled up with so much anger and she had stuff to say. Oh, boy did she have a lot to say about what just happened, but she kept her mouth shut. As she reached her house table she sat down and rubbed her face. "I can't anymore! I just can't take it anymore and deal with that- that mosnter! I've had it! Oh, if I could I surely would do anything to make him know how I feel about that man!" Elektra shouted letting her anger out to Rafe. She didn't mean to, but she could also tell that Rafe had plenty to say about it too. "I mean I don't see what the big bloody deal is with you giving me an elixir to calm my nerves?!" She scoffed. "He makes me sick!"

He picked up a glass goblet of pumpkin juice, but before it even reached his lips it shattered in his hand. "SON OF A BLOODSUCKER!" he yelled. His hand was now covered with blood and glass. He seemed to be yelling the same time Elektra was. Clearly they were both really upset at what just happened. He used his other hand to pull out his wand and performed the "Vulnera Sanentur" spell and it slowly began to heal. "He had no right to..." Rafe could feel his blood boiling again. He took a few deep breaths once more to collect himself. "It doesn't matter...it's over!" He wanted nothing more than to curse Vindictus, but that certainly would get him expelled and he couldn't leave Hogwarts yet. "I just feel bad for you...you were really starting to get the hang of it." He smiled.

She jumped a little when the broom slammed down on the table and then hearing what sounded like a goblet breaking and she looks over seeing Rafe's hand bloodied. "Oh, my God Rafe. Your hand." She said gently grabbing his hand and then saw him heal it and she looked up at him and saw him try to collect himself and she sighed. "I guess the lesson is put on hold until some other time huh?" she said looking up at him pausing for a second seeing his smile and she smiled softly back at him and forgot she was still holding his hand and she pulled her hands away from him and she chuckled softly. "Sorry." she looks at his hand. "Looks like your hand is all healed up now."

Marilyn couldn't believe the nerve of this boy. Did he just call her a viper? Her fingers were itching to grab at her wand...but she refrained. A promise had been made to Carter that she would not do a repeat performance of cursing someone while their back was turned...No matter how much it killed her to just watch him walk away.

Stupid Gryffindor. What did he know, exactly? If this Jai character thought she couldn't hurt him...then he needed to go speak with Carter and Marie...

Grabbing her fork, Marilyn stabbed the pineapple viciously. Gah! She couldn't even enjoy her fruit now. The urge to break something was settling in her chest. Looking around, she tried to calm herself...but seen something that angered her even further.

What in the bleeding...Rafe was sitting at her table...with some other Slytherin girl. A young looking one, too.

What is going on...

He almost spewed it everywhere, but had the self control to hold it back, which made him choke. Rafe began to cough hysterically, but then gained his composure. He took in a deep breath. "Exciting is a bit of an understatement when it comes to my summers," he grinned. "I usually spend my time in Romania because my father has some secret task he wants me to perform. But, this time I have sort of a mission of my own. I've got to complete something I've started."

Rafe didn't feel like he really had to hide much from Elektra. After all he was revealing more and more stuff to his friends anyways. But, he was just sugarcoating everything he was saying for now and completely oblivious that a certain blonde might be overhearing.
