If you know the password, you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:
The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room is a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Some of the chairs had been transfigured into Chaise Lounges by previous seventh years, and never turned back. There are no windows as the common room is located under the lake and a fire burning green in the fireplace, before the rug covered floor. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as pride is one of this house's qualities.
This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a straircase straight ahead that leads to a room students may use as a quiet place to study, and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a staircase that goes down to the Boys Dorm, and to the right a staircase that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each staircase is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it.
On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements and signup sheet with the words 20 minutes max on it, for those wanting to sit on the couch and stare at the fire all emo like. On one of the coffee tables you see a copy of the Slytherin Scroll, a newsletter only for Slytherin Students.
A box is on an end table, where you may sign up for or to be a Serpent Sidekick, and a podium with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.

"Something wrong with horses?" Orabelle demanded to know. Given, this girl probably preferred rodents over such sophisticated creatures but pleaaassseee, who didn't love those lovely four-legged horses? No one. They were amazing and anyone who chose a furry little rodent over that was insane. A complete nutter.
What? Was this girl even being serious? "So is intelligence but your little... pet... doesn't seem to possess much of that," Orabelle said. After all, if it was, it wouldn't be scampering around the place. "It's... nice to meet you as well Lulu," Orabelle said. She refused to hold out her hand for the girl to shake. Just a moment ago the girl had been touching the ground with it.
Orabelle Person was one of those girls; the sort that walked around in high heels even though they were breaking the school uniform guidelines, wore impossible amounts of make-up that made them appear older than they truly were, and had a high disregard for dirt. Lulu didn't get the dislike. Dirt was dirt. It's what everyone was going to turn into in the end. Dirt.
"I could say the same for some folk," responded Lulu. "Bothersome, disgusting, a nuisance." She snapped her fingers repeatedly to gain Sir Robin's attention. The ferret stood up from where he was and scanned the perimeter of the common room in hopes of finding the source of the noise. Patterson shook her head. At least he responded this time even if he was unable to associate her with the sound of finger snapping yet.
"Nothing wrong with horses, mate," declared Lulu and she snapped her fingers again. Robin finally met her eyes and began sprinting in her direction. The girl stooped low enough to catch the ferret as he leaped towards her. "They just poop an awful lot and are pretty high maintenance. Fitting, I guess." Horses and Orabella suited each other. Lulu hugged the black-footed ferret to her for a moment before letting him crawl over her shoulders. "No, Robin isn't the cleverest of ferrets, ya know but he's awfully loyal. You can't boss someone who is smart around but someone who is a little daft and extremely loyal will do whatever you say if you know how to ask. There's classes tomorrow morning so I'm going to tuck in."

This girl. The green wig in her hand twitched uncontrollably but the girl quickly clasped her hands together to make it all stop, simpy making an innocent smile towards the girl. No no no, she was Lola Jones. She knew that. "You! HIIIIIIII! You obviously know me right?! Oh we just had such a ball at that Feast! It was fun right?!? RIGHT???" she squealed, skipping towards the girl and then made a grab for her hands.
"Ahhhh good times good times. I'm Lola Jones! I never did get to catch your name... BUT! Yes of course, I did get out of the Mashed, hehe..." But she didn't want to talk about the Potato incident, so she used Baylee's handkerchief to wipe some remains off her face even more. "Wanna be friends?" she asked excitedly, completely oblivious to the girl's attitude.
Lola glanced at the ferret. "He is so cute!" The girl's next part confused her. "What? What forest?" What forest was this girl talking about? It sounded eerie. "OOOH! That sounds fun. I think me and err... Robin? Yes, we'll have such a blast!"
"We're friends now, okay? Okay." The girl had no say in the matter whatsoever.
SEE-ERA.
This girl.
Her best friend.
"SIEEEERRRAAAA," she sang across the Common Room, as she stood behind the couch, breathing down the girl's neck. "It's me! Lola!" Was she clingy? She was definitely not clingy at all. But she wanted to embrace this friend of hers because hugs showed true friendship! Tonight, however, she didn't want to scare away the girl even more.
"I wasn't placed in Hufflepuff," she said gloomily, and she huffed and puffed in annoyance. "But it's okay! Because now we'll be friends! FOREVER! We'll see each other everyday! Aren't you excited!"
Of course she was!
"I sure am."
"Why the certificate? Have you gone daft, Baylee?"
Everyone made friendship certificates. It was simply like a prenup...except no one was getting married, and it lasted forever. Lola hadn't explained her friendship certificate ritual yet but soon, when she did feel like this girl was worthy enough to be eternal friends forever. She immediately pointed to Sierra and whispered, "See? Me and that girl are best friends forever. She's so lucky."
There was no certificate for Greingoth, yet.
Lola raised her eyebrows, simply turning her head away, hurt and confused when the girl refused to accept her very own name! "HMPH! If you want to be like that, Baylee... You obviously hate me don't you?!" HATED HER! She quickly covered her eyes and made sniffing noises, pretending to crrrrrryyyy. Lola heard what the girl said... something about geckos. And Irises. And third person (which she adored).
"Gecko?"Sniffle, "I love geckos! I love every type,"sniff, "of animals..."
"You," sniff, "lost," sniff, "it?!?!"
Lulu was contemplating a wave as a goodbye to Orabella, Lover of Horses, Shunner of Rodents when her hands were trapped by--the hands belonging to Green Head the Insane. "Don't touch me," instructed Lulu plainly, waiting for the girl to release her hands before having to rip them away herself. "And No. No. No to everything," said the girl as Sir Robin clung to her head, his beady eyes wide while his nose twitched in excitement. "Bye."
It was a good time to go to bed, figured Lulu Patterson. Lola Jones formerly known as Green Head the Insane was in the common room and she figured Orabelle, Lover of High Maintenance Horses was going to have a conniption soon over her. Lu sprinted to the girl's dormitory with Sir Robin in tow. There was a reason she disliked girls and boys. It was best to give up on her attempts of making friends for now. She could always renew said goals in a few weeks.
Connor sighed. "No Dani I'm really not ok. Can you do something for me? Get me out of here please? I need to calm down before I loose control and I don't want to go all angry veela birdboy in here and frighten the firsties." he whispered in her ear. "Just take me out of here please."
Dani nodded as she looked out for that... strange girl from a few minutes back. Weird, much? She held his hand- "Where do you wanna go?" she asked him softly.
Cass strolled into the common room and tugged at the collar of her uniform self consciously. It felt weird to be back in her school robes, she already missed the laid back style of shorts and dresses. Not that she would ever admit that to anyone of course.
she plopped down on her usual chair in front of the freaky green fire and simply stared into space as she twirled her wand absently in front of her. It was official...

She'd never do that with a baby, only with cute animals like this one. "How old is he?" Helena asked curiously, carefully scratching his ears. Most of the dogs liked that, so let's hope that Stallion liked that as well.
Savannah was glad Stallion and Helena got along so well. Unlike some people...
Savannah carefully set Stallion in Helena's arms. Stallion seemed to like Helena, and scratching his ears. "Um...three years old I think." She answered. "Was this small when I first got him." Savannah held up her hands and spread them about twelve inches apart.

Regaining his composure, he patted the ground next to him, inviting the girl. "Candy angels...YAY!" he said in what he hoped was a convincing manner.
Savannah couldn't stand it and crossed her arms. Disgusting. "No." Savannah said firmly. "I do not want your candies and I do not want to roll on the floor with you." Only pigs to do that.
"No thank you, but I already have candies. Better candies that you have. Or you'll ever have." Get jealous, boy. "So why don't you get up and join me with my candies huh?" Hopefully, she'll fool this guy to get up and stop being a pig.

She was bored.

Looking around the common room the blonde noticed her bestie sitting on her usual chair and almost ran to her.The girl didnt care what others thought at the moment."Caaaaass",she sobbed plopping down opn the chair next to her bestie. The girl couldnt help it,the tears just made their way down her face...

Okay, so Stallion didn't seem to mind having his ears scratched. Not at all, actually. And... Helena liked him. But who couldn't like adorable animals? "Aww how sweet! I wish I could've seen him so small!" Because small animals were even more adorable! "My owl was... like my fist, I think. When I bought him." Or even smaller. But Hades grew up now, and got ugly. Because he still has that cute and fluffy thing, and a few feathers. But he'll be handsome... one day.

Savannah smiled. Pets are somewhat miracles.
"Where's your owl now?" Savannah asked. "Off sending letter I expect."

"Oh no," Helena said quickly, giggling. "He's somewhere in the owlery." Probably trying out for a hooting band or something. Maybe an orchestra of hooting owls? Or... maaaybe none of the above? "I'm not giving him letters yet. He's still..." ... young? "My little baby," she finished, grinning. Besides, there were a lot of owls willing to send letters, in case Helena needed one.
Aurora meandered into the common room, humming a tune to herself. If only she had a piano, then she could write it down, play it through and give it some words. Oh well, she didn't, and she really couldn't be bothered looking for one. She found a big comfy chair in front of the fire and curled her legs under her, humming softly and producing some manuscript parchment. She began to scribble the approximate melody.

The girl stifled a giggle as her friend climbed up onto his chair and began to announce the empty postition of a much needed first year. In all honesty, he really wasn't that much taller while standing on it. Oh well, that wasn't something he needed to know
HEY FIRSTIES!!
One of these kids reeeeeeeally needed to volunteer to be their panda. And if they didn't well... She'd have to go make another sign to put on the notice board because Jamie's writing really was rubbish.
Macy thought quietly to herself, stroking her invisible beard. "No, I'm pretty sure we can't." Stupid rule, but who would want everybody running around hexing each other? ... Actually, that sounded like alot of fun. XD

"What do you want with firsties?" she asked with shifty eyes. Oh yes, she knew what they were up to and she was TELLING.
Whaa, FINE! It was important enough to be put on the notice board. This was the league of awesomsauceness they were talking about here. Jamie nodded continuously. "Okay, you should make a new sign, though. We can't put that up." He motioned towards his sign, which basically looked like green squiggles.
No magic outside of classes? Ehhh, it sounded like she was pretty convinced. The third year pouted like crazy. But he was glad that Macy had told him about it. Because he was planning some magical practising up in the dorms tonight. Guess that wasn't going to happen anymore! GRRRRRRR AT SCHOOL RULES.
A VICTIM FIRSTIE. "Look, Macy. It worked." He whispered, then smiled kindly at the younger girl.
"We want to..." Dress them up as panda bears? He would mention that later, just as soon as they had befriended the girl, "welcome, the first years. Don't we, Macy?" Even though they were both transfers and needed welcoming themselves. But whatever.
He suddenly had a vision of the girl in a panda suit. AHH, their plan was coming together!
"My name is Jamie. And WELCOME to Slytherin." He said, even wanting to embrace the girl into a hug. But he refrained, because he didn't want to freak her out. Besides, he didn't want to over-welcome her and cause suspicions.

Peyton raised an eyebrow at the guy and crossed her arms on her chest. Why was he whispering? Didn't he know that whispering to other people was RUDE.
Ooohhh.
They were just welcoming the firsties. How nice of them. "Thanks!" Peyton smiled. Really nice people, but, "Isn't Jamie a girl's name?" she mumbled, trying not to giggle. She didn't want to be rude, it was just a simple question AND she could be wrong.
So, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so NICE!
"I'm Peyton Baltazar," she introduced herself with a big smile that showed off her dimple. SWEET.

Peyton jumped and clapped her hands. Being welcomed was really NICE. "Nice to meet you Macy." she smiled. Oooh, she already felt part of something fun. The girl noticed the parchment in Macy's hand. Where they going to get a welcome drawing too? "What's that you're holding?" she asked, curiously.

Katra walked into the Common Room, a new book tucked beneath her arm. She was heading up to her room for some secluded quiet, but paused when she spotted Matthew. They hadn't finished their conversation a few days prior and she hesitated for a moment, before walking quietly over to him. Standing close enough to catch his attention, but far enough to keep his space personal, she smiled faintly.
She was NOT daft. Lola was hitting Peyton's last nerve, especially by calling her BAYLEE!
SHE WAS NOT BAYLEE.
It sounded like...like an underwater plant that fishes ate.
Peyton didn't care who was her friend and she didn't care about the other girl being lucky. She about to tell that to Lola when...she said Peyton hated her. NO! That wasn't it. P felt like yanking her own hair out from frustration. Was Lola missing a part of her brain?
She was crying!
P felt a tad guilty for making Lola cry. “I don't hate you,” she said and sighed. She didn't the girl enough to hate her, yet. Peyton walked over to the crying girl and patted her on her back and smiled. See, Peyton didn't hate her yet
No. Fishin'. Way! Peyton LOVED animals too. Maybe Lola wasn't too bad. “Yeah,” Peyton pouted. “She's always running away,” the gecko. It's like if Iris enjoyed making Peyton run after her.
Breathe, Lola breathe.
Did this girl hate her?! A sly smile came out for a second or so but she returned back to her fake tears to retain the girl's guiltiness and attention. "You, you... don't?!" she sniffed, but her heart was screaming with glory, satisfied at how guuuuullible this girl was.
She didn't blame her. HER TEARS WERE PROFESSIONAL!
Lola tried to bring her attention to this gecko. "Why's she running away? Does your gecko hate you?! OR MAYBE YOU HATE HER??? You need to fix your life, Baylee." There were some serious attitude problems the girl had, obviously! That poor gecko! Mmm mm.
She had the feeling that in the same way her friendship certificate was being neglected, so was Iris! "Now, when we meet again, get your quill ready for that certificate, Baylee."
If she didn't... WELL THEN SHE REALLY DID HATE HER!

"And No.
Lola was shocked, but suddenly interested at this girl's... disinterest/hatred towards her. She stepped away, not wanting to let her little rat experiment hate her too much. Hmm. A smile appeared from her mouth again, unaffected by the girl's 'No's! "No? Silly! I still didn't get your nam--" The girl said her goodbyes already and started walking away.
"Okay! Bye nameless-girl-friend AND BYE ROBIN!" She said waving goodbye and giggling when the girl left. Sigh. She didn't even look back! Did she? Oh well.
She wasn't going to creep her out. Wait five minutes so that it wouldn't look like she was stalking her to the Dormitory's... those awkward five minutes.
And then she skipped away, waving goodbye to Baylee and saying her good-night's.

Peyton sighed. Did she have to repeat herself, again? "No, Lola...I don't hate you, okay?" she said, trying her very best to smile. See, she was smiling. She didn't hate you.
SIGH.
WHAT?!?! O_O
Her gecko did NOT hate her and she did NOT hate her own pet! "I don't hate her, either," she said. "Iris likes playing hide and seek," she explained, slowly. Iris was like one of her best friends, she could never hate her. This time, Peyton didn't correct Lola when she said Baylee. She just smiled, tightly.
"Yeah," Peyton nodded. "I'll even have my favorite quill to sign it." did she really have to? Apparently, yes. SIGH.

Standing close enough to catch his attention, but far enough to keep his space personal, she smiled faintly.
"Hello stranger." She said quietly.
As Matt continued on his sketch, he heard a familiar voice and looked up from the book to see Katra standing there; there was that same feeling of being in the presence of someone that was actually worth talking to that was there when he had decided to speak with her at the start of term feast a few weeks ago. He set his pencil down for the moment since it was quite rude to continue drawing while trying to hold a proper conversation. At least she has the common sense not to interrupt you constantly like Raven does.
"Ah hello there, long time no see. How are you?" He asked curiously, taking genuine interest in what she had to say.
