"Looks like you are stuck with us then" Alyssa joked before throwing her arms up in exasperation and exclaiming "Can I get a little help here please" she laughed motioning to the boy and then to the tangle of fiery hair with a brush in the midst of it

"Go for it." Faith said with a slight smile. "You read Egyptian?" She asked noticing the girl's quizzical look at the book.

"Egypt." She said. "That's where my home is. The end of term is the first time I'll be able to go back in a while." she had already let go of the girl's hand and sat back down.

Danielle's eyes widened a little and she looked away slightly- Oh, because of course that would be just so silly, she thought to herself. Wondering why guys were so, so blind at times. How come they loved the girl that was clear so not interested in them!? Eugh! It made her so mad! "Oh..." she said, not sure of what to say to him right then. She smiled and laughed slightly before going to change the subject. "So... how are you... hmm... put the troubles aside... how are you liking it here?" she asked him softly as she thought about her beloved Beauxbatons.

Toby decided to say something too, because they're talking about Quidditch now. ''My dad and I like the Falmouth Falcons too. I really hope they're gonna win this year!''He thinks about last year, when they almost won. ''But my mother doesn't like Quidditch much. She thinks something bad will happen to us when we're playing.''

"Ah! No," Aiden responds to the question. "Do you?" she points the question back at Faith, wondering whether she could read Hieroglyphs.

Mordred grinned. "A Falmouth Falcons supporter too, I see." he nodded when Toby mentioned that the FF's should win that year. "Mum used to be a member of the Slytherin team. She too joined the Holyhead Harpies right after Hogwarts. She's crazy about Quidditch, and a huge supporter of the Tutshill Tornadoes. She hates the Falcon's a lot. She said they are a disgrace to the sport." Mordred narrated as he remembered her mum telling him and his father that their team is too violent.

"I can." She said. "I'm originally from Egypt, actually." She smiled. "It truly is a wonderful place if you look past all the power hungry, homicidal morons." She looked down at the book. "This is just about battles and fighting techniques. I learned most of them, but I still find it interesting."

Tempted with curiousity, Aiden starts to pay attention to what Faith tells her. She crosses her leg besides Faith on the sofa while munching Cauldron Cakes. "Interesting... Would you mind telling me about it? I'll share my Cauldron Cakes," as she requests the other witch, she offers her Cauldron Cakes in return.

"Just so long as Slytherin win this year." Sport wasn't her strong point. "I think I'm going to find somewhere to practice, my brother said there was a room that changes to suit your purpose or something. The Room of... Requirement I think... I'm going to look around anyway. You can join me if you like." She stood and picked up her violin and bow. Placing them back in the case. She also took her flute which she didn't think anyone had noticed in it's little inconspicuous case.

"Then...then...what!?" Knox gasped in mock horror, playfully wriggling his fingers in the girl's direction. She was funny. And she sure loved the Slytherin Common Room. Strange but funny.

Green and silver. Not very nice. Pink and purple was more his thing.. and the Ravenclaw blue was pretty too. He was just going to have to soldier on and make do though. He'd find a nice fluffy throw to cover those awful leather sofas and maybe it wouldn't be half bad. Maybe.

"Well, I saw the entrance hall... and the great hall," he answered with a small shrug. Those places seemed okay. Still not a match against Beauxbatons, but the suits of armour were pretty cool. "But that's about it.. I've heard the grounds are really pretty."

He was going to have to go exploooooooring!


EEEEEK!!!EMERGENCY!

"How come you let your hair get so knotted!?" Knox winced as he moved behind the younger girl and carefully grasped the handle of the hairbrush. He gave it a wiggle and felt it give a little. Whoa, super stuck in there it was. He liked hair.. and he took extra special care of his own with fancy strawberry shampoo, but he was no hairdresser!

Maybe Helena shouldn't have said anything about the two Slytherin colours, because it didn't seem to have helped him... at all. She didn't like green that much as well, but having to see the common room and the bedroom every single day... she got used to everything around her. And she was sure that he'll get used to everything too.

Oh. Waitwaitwait. He? Uhh she forgot about the name part... again. "I'm Helena, by the way," the girl said, smiling. She was not sure if a handshake was needed or not, but at least she remembered to introduce herself. Better later than never.

"Ah, you surely have to see more than that." The entrance hall, the great hall and the common room... No wonder he didn't like it here. "And I'm sure you'll like the grounds," Helena added, grinning. Even though the lake was invaded by a creepy ship. But maybe he knows about that?

''It might be a good idea, if we practise while you play a bit music. You still didn't play.''His father has told him about The Room of Requirement, but he'd better stay away from there.

"All right. As for me, I'm off to the Boy's Dormitory." he told Aurora.

"How about you Toby?" he asked the other boy. "I know I've got a book about quidditch somewhere in my trunk. Want to check it out?" he asked.

''Yeah, I'd like to see it. But if you mean Quidditch Through The Ages...I've got that book too.''He didn't like reading much, but if it's a book about Quidditch he loves it.

"Well feel free to join me Toby." Aurora said as she prepared to go in search of the room. "It's perfectly safe and not against the rules." She said, noticing the loom of apprehension on his face.

She nodded at Mordred as he said he was going to the dorm. "Shame, I wa going to suggest you played my flute and we did a duet." She shrugged and grinned at him. "But I understand if you want to do boy things." Aurora laughed.

Mordred smirked. "Not that book." he said shaking his head. "I've got The Beater's Bible by Brutus Scrimgeour and The Wonder of Wigtown Wanderers by Kennilworthy Whisp. You can borrow them if you want." Mordred said.

Alyssa let out a sigh as the older boy began to try and release her hair from the brushes death grip "I dont usually let it get this bad but some Hufflepuff girl....whos name now escapes me....threw her food all over me" She made to show him the food that she had just noticed on her robes but even the slightest move pulled her hair so she decided it best to remain still. "Thank you for helping me"

Knox, who was still trying to retrieve a hairbrush that had gotten lost in some girl's hair, turned to the OTHER girl. Helena she introduced herself as. "Oh, I'm Knox," he grinned back, forgetting all about introductions. "Is it true there's a a tree that attacks you if you get too near to it?" It probably was - Hogwarts was one freaky place.

Macnair pulled a face behind her.. he wasn't entirely sure if he was helping. In fact, if anything, all the tugging seemed to making matters worse. "This hairbrush is well and truly stuck," he stared in horror, teeth tugging nervously at his lower lip. "Was it bubblegum this chick threw at you!?"

Maybe Helena could do a better job? Knox glanced at the other girl helplessly.

Jamie's tiny legs had finally carried him to the common room, and he entered with a distressed expression and a hand holding his forehead. He was distressed because he had fallen over his robes during his wander through the dungeons! Smack-bang right on his head. Wasn't that a perfect way to start off his Hogwarts experience. There would be a bruise there by tomorrow.

He eventually took his hand away from his head and observed the common room. Wows, the builders really outdid themselves when they built this room. It was amazzzzing, but a little dark and dingy perhaps....

He walked forwards, with his robes tucked neatly into his trousers to avoid any further harm, and wondered where to go next or what to do next. All he could hear was chattering, and almost nobody was alone. Great. That meant he had no one to strike up a conversation with, which sucked because he needed to know the ropes around this place. However, Jamie could briefly hear a humming noise getting gradually closer to him. He turned quickly on his heel and bumped into, what he thought, was a brick wall. The boy fell to the floor, of course.

"OWCCHH. My head!" It was going to EXPLODE! How many more times was he going to hit his bloody head today?!?!? After wallowing on the floor in self pity for a moment, he looked up and saw a girl. A girl??! MERLIN'S PANTS. In his mind, he just associated a girl with a brick wall. Best not to mention that one, otherwise he may get a slap on the head. MORE head pain.

"Nice to meet you," Helena said, smiling.

But then... "Oh, the Whomping Willow." She approached it once, last term, but never got too close to it. She really didn't want or need to be sure whether it attacks or not. "I'll show you, if you want," the girl giggled, even though she wasn't quite supposed to. "But... not too close to it." Nooo thank you. She didn't want to visit the healer, even though she was nice.

Before Helena could think of anything else, she watched Knox, as he was trying to... help another girl, whose hairbrush seemed to be stuck in her hair. "Shall I... help?" She asked nervously, not exactly sure of what to do or say.

Aurora had been about to leave when she noticed a girl having her hair almost pulled out by a brush that had lodged itself there.
"Hello, do you need a hand? Well, another one, why dont you use magic?" She pulled out her wand and pointed it at the mess in the girls hair. "Scourgeo." All the... Was it food? Vanished and left just a hairbrush tangled in a small knot. "That should be easier now, do want me to try?" She offered a hand to take the brush.

''Maybe I'll do that.''Toby was wondering if they could be friends. He liked the boy, but he didn't know if he liked Toby too.
''So, we both like Quidditch. What else do you like?''he asked Mordred because he'd like to know if they really liked the same things.

The fourth year continued on her merry little way, inspecting a rather regal looking chair towards the outside corners of the room. As Macy finished humming her song, she started it over again only pausing to look up as a boy entered the common room. HELLO. Besides being rather short, the boy looked about her age if not older and was at least somewhat decent looking. He wasn't hideous, thank goodness, but he was no feat of gorgeousness. The girl turned back to looking at the elegant chair, only to be interrupted moments later.

D: WHAAAAAAAAAAAT?!

The same boy collided straight with her side, tumbling onto the floor and screaming in pain. OWWCH. Not fair! He wasn't supposed to run into her! Actually nobody was, it would screw up her creative thinking processes and she'd been dropped on her head enough times already. Turning to face the boy, she fixed one hand on her hip and raised an eyebrow. Well? He'd better have a good reason for running into her.

Nevertheless, she offered out her free hand to him in an attempt to help him up. Why? She wasn't sure. After all, he had run into her. She ought to have turned on her heel and left him to lay on the floor. Ugh. Stupid generosity got the better of her.

"I like to play the flute. I love exploring. I'm into Potions but I like Defense Against the Dark Arts even more." Mordred replied. "You?" he asked. Mordred can't help but imagine Toby as part of the Quidditch Team soon. With that kind of passion, he was sure that his fellow Slytherin will excel in it.

''Well, to be honest, I don't play any music. But I like Potions and Defence Against the Dark Arts too. Specially just the Dark Arts. Everyone knows how to defent yourself, if you ask me.'' Yeah, Mordred was a nice kid and they sure could be friends. They liked the same things but Toby wondered if they hated the same things too. ''Muggle Studies sounds like a big joke, I think.''he decided to say. ''What do you think about that? I'm a Wizard, not a Muggle, so why would I have to learn how they live?''
