Apparently someone had noticed his disbelief. Disbelief that they were actually meant to spend time in a place like this.. heck, that they had to live down here!! "And you're totally sure I'm in the right place?" He asked, still looking around distastefully. Honestly, who came up with the decor in this place?

"Are you sure this isn't where they're meant to keep the prisoners?" That was it surely. The prisoners lived down here and the Slytherins actually had a luxurious living quarters on the fifth floor.. complete with fluffy sofas, pink beanbags and a lovely view of the lake.

He was never going to get used to this!

Aurora smiled, she liked to play for others if they asked. "Sure, I'd love that some time, let me know what your favourite piece of music is and I'll learn it."

"Yeah, a few, most of them firsties like us. You need to meet them!" He seemed pretty cool, she reckoned he'd get on with Selador, even if he didn't immediately click with Mordred.

Unable to stop herself from listening into others conversations Alyssa found herself laughing out loud "I think this is it my friend" she spoke with her killer smile "If you were looking for a room with a veiw then maybe try asking for a transfer to Ravenclaw" she tried her best to look cool as clearly the lad she was talking to was older then her, it was all going well until she managed to get her brush caught in a knot and seemingly stuck in her hair Dang it she thought to herself as she tried to remove it without damaging her locks too much

Helena was sure now. He really didn't like it here. "If you're a Slytherin, yes. You are in the right place." She was about to giggle even more, but she just grinned. "Ah, it's not that... bad." Helena's voice faded as she threw a quick look around the room. Okay, maybe he actually had a reason not to like it. Or even more reasons.

But as he went on... Helena couldn't help but laugh. "No prisoners here," she assured him. "Unless..." You know, the dungeon where detention is served had to be somewhere nearby. But maybe he doesn't need to know this detail... yet. So time to change the subject. "Are you new here?" She suddenly asked, smiling. He didn't look like a first year, but yes, he had to be new.

''Actually I don't know any special music. But if you just play something, I'm sure I'd like it.'' Toby was wondering if she had any family at Hogwarts. ''So, you've got a brother, do you? Is he here too?''

"Prisoners?" Savannah looked up from her book. Prisoners?? Prisoners at Hogwarts? Savvy kind of giggle for a second. "Hope you guys don't mind if I chime in in the conversation, but calling this place a prison?" She gave another chuckle as she glanced around the Slytherin Common room. Then she abruptly stopped herself. "I'm sorry, but it's just that I've never heard anybody say that before. To be, it's more like a second home. I've never felt better." Savannah added. "I mean, who else's got green fire in their fire place?"

"Well I'll play you something later then, I'm not sure people would appreciate having it forced on them in the common room." She was going to find someone to ask about practice rooms later anyway.

"Oh no, Kryspin graduated last year and my sister graduated Durmstrang three or four years ago. Most of my cousins are at Durmstrang but I might have a little Hogwarts cousin next year." She smiled. "Do you have any family here?"

So this was the common room?

Daichi looked around with half open mouth, he couldn't believe it but his brother had actually said the truth when he had described the common room. His eyes darted to the stone walls to the fireplace. His eyes widened when fire erupted and warmth up the place. But instead of going towards the fire, Daichi let out a soft whimper and pressed his ducked plushy against him while taking a few steps back. Why where the couches so close to the fire?

Daichi looked away from the fire and sat on the cold floor. Cold.. cold would destroy heat right? yes ,he was alot safer here. He sat down on the floor, still holding his duck while watching the other students. Would anyone even notice him? He then thought about the fourth year, he had met on the train. He couldn't remember his name but he had said he should watch out in case someone tried to make fun of his duck. He thought people wouldn't be like that but then... what if they did?! He knew he had Evan's back , and he's the Prefect. Yes despite his little (well little) lie. He still trusted him.

People. Were. Listening.

To THEIR conversation.

But... Helena's eyes went wide all of a sudden, and her mouth didn't seem to want to cooperate. "I... I didn't -" Uhh this was getting embarrassing. "I didn't... say that." Of course it was not a prison. And yes, the girl was right. It was like a second home. As for the green fire... Not Helena's favourite colour, but the girl had a point.

''No, I don't have any brothers or sisters. And I only have younger cousins, you know...''He was wondering how it would be if you already knew people at Hogwarts before you'd came here. ''But my parents told me a lot about Hogwarts.''

Connor turned his head away from her. "I'm falling in love with someone, and I can't tell her. W-we had a talk and she just had a breakup at the end of last term. I can't tell her how I feel or show her how I feel without making her uncomfortable." he whispered. "She's so innocent and I promised to wait for her and I will."

Connor looks over at the girl near them. She seemed rather out of it. "Are you ok Miss? Can I help you with something?"

Dani nodded and looked away herself. "Oh" she said simply as she picked up her magazine again. "Connor... don't wait around for too long" she said honestly to him, knowing he'd end up getting hurt. "She asked you to wait for her?" she said with a sigh, usually that meant the person had no feelings and was just trying to find an exuse. "I just don't want you to get hurt, Connor" she told him. She was getting hurt, but it didn't really matter... because no one ever asked her how she was feeling. Maybe she didn't matter.
Maybe Connor was feeling how she felt every single day now... maybe.
She sighed as she flicked through the magazine, dazzled by the models in such beautiful clothes. "Gosh, I wanna model so bad" she said softly, knowing her parents would hate her doing that for so many reasons- it was a dangerous job really, but she didn't care.

Aurora noticed a boy sat on the floor away from the fire and looked to Toby. "Let's go and talk to him, he looks a bit lonely." She went towards the boy, beckoning to Toby.

"So you don't like fire huh?" Aurora sat cross legged next the boy. "I'm Aurora, this is Toby." She smiled.

"It's even better than what I've been told! I love it!"

"She didn't ask me to wait Dani. It was my decision. I care for her Dani, I want to be with her." he whispered. She didn't want him to get hurt. Ha! Yeah, like being hurt wasn't a normal part of his life. He sat up, wrapping his arms around his knees. "I don't care about getting hurt. it doesn't matter, what matters is she is happy. I care more about her than myself."

He looked over at her and replied. "So if you want to be a Model, be one."

Daichi looked up from the floor when a girl that looked to be around his age sat next to him with crossed legs. Daichi gave her a smile when she sat down but his smile faded away when she mentioned the fire. He pressed his plushed ducky tighter against him and slowly nodded his head yes. "I don't ...like fire" he said. He was scared of it and he hated it at the same time. His dark eyes looked up to someone else standing nearby. A boy who the girl introduced as Toby. "Nice to meet you guys~" he said in his cheerful personality. Deciding not to look at the fire. "I'm Daichi and i'm new here~"

Dani watched him and sighed- "Whoa..." she said softly- "Your happiness matters too, y'know?" she said equally as softly as before. "If your putting her happiness before your own... and she's not even ready... it's a bit... self destructive" she said honestly to him. She wasn't going to lie- he was her friend and she didn't lie to friends. Well. There was stuff she kept back from him, only because he didn't care.
"If only it was that easy" she muttered as she chucked the magazine down and sighed- "Connor... please smile" she said with a little smirk of her own- "Just for me, please?" she asked him as she held his hand, only in the brotherly/sisterly way that he saw thier... friendship, relationship- whatever it was as. She leaned over and hugged him- "I'll always be here for you... through whatever" she told him honestly- "Pinky promise" she said, entertwining his finger with her own. "You'll be here for me too... right?" she asked him concernedly.

"That sucks, this is Salvatore, we like fire. But opposites attract right?" said Aurora, gesturing to the Salamander perched on her shoulder, hiding behind her hair. "Maybe Sal will make friends with your little duck." She gestured to the cute plush little duck under his arm.

"We're new here too. Isn't it brilliant!" Aurora grinned.

Orabelle made sure she didn't lower her feet onto the ground. The rat might try to eat her shoes or something and she loved her lovely Valentino heels. And if not, the pesky little rodent might try to eat her instead and Orabelle was worth a lot more than that.

The girl said ferret like it was any better than a rat. Which it wasn't. They were both... furry and... weird. And "Rats... in the... castle?" Orabelle said slowly, just to make sure the girl was speaking proper English. Or just speaking in general. Orabelle knew there was something wrong with this school! And there being rats just proved it.

Orabelle watched the girl wipe her hands on her robes and grimaced. Uhm... hello, dirty? The girl could at least like... wash her hands, right? "I can tell," she said as she glanced back at the ferret and then the girl's hands.

After checking out his new dorm, Mordred came up to the common room to find Selador and Aurora. As he surveyed the common room, he found a lot of students from other levels chatting away excitedly. Finally spotting Aurora sitting on the floor, he saw her talking to two boys who were probably in his year. Mordred slowly approached them.

"Why are you sitting on the cold floor?" he asked Aurora as his eyes moved from her to the boy with a duck and another one standing beside him.

"Okay." Peyton nodded and stood up to go check behind the couch. She should have placed a tracking tag on the thing, it'd be much easier to find her that way. "Iris." she whispered.

Ugh, she was SO grounded.

The tiny creature stared at the red headed girl from behind a guy's foot. She was much too sneaky for Peyton to find her. She noticed as another girl approached her and for a minute Iris thought she was going to have to go save the young girl, but double backed when she heard they were looking for HER.

Hehe!

They'll never find her!

She scurried to where the older girl knelt and quickly crawled up her back and stayed there. This girl had no eyes in the back of her head did she? Well, she was going to find that out. Iris began playing with the blonde's hair and completely forgot that she was hiding.

"Why aren't you?" She asked, moving her violin from next to her and patting the floor.

"This is Toby, and this is Daichi. Guys, this is Mordred." She gestured to each of them in turn. She pulled a chocolate frog from her pocket and bit it's head off, then dug deeper and found a few more, offering them to the others.

"So your violin finally arrived." Mordred pointed out as he sat on the cold floor. He was tall for his age, and it will be quite uncomfortable for his housemates to look up at him while conversing.

Besides, his mum wouldn't know.

"Daichi, Toby." he said acknowledging both boys. "First years too?" he asked as he got a chocolate frog from Aurora slowly unwrapping it.

"Yes! This is my gorgeous Stradivarius!" She grinned, absent-mindedly plucking a little melody.

"Yup, all of us. Just liccle firsties aren't you!" She grinned, there were some good things about being a year older than everyone else in your year.

"Technically I am not little." Mordred said as he stretched out his legs.

He then looked at the violin. "It's beautiful. I can't wait to get my flute though." he said as he snapped a piece of chocolate and threw it inside his mouth. "Have you asked if they've got a practice room?" he asked. "I went to explore the castle earlier, and I found this room called Classroom Eleven. It's an empty classroom, maybe you could practice in there. It's up in the Ground floor." he said pointing to the ceiling.

Savannah smiled at the young second year. "Of course, I know you didn't." Which was the truth. "It's that boy that you were talking to." She added, patting her dog in her lap.

Then, she realized something else. "Sorry for interrupting, but I couldn't have been more curious." Savvy said with a wink.
