If you know the password, you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:

The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room is a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Some of the chairs had been transfigured into Chaise Lounges by previous seventh years, and never turned back. There are no windows as the common room is located under the lake and a fire burning green in the fireplace, before the rug covered floor. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as pride is one of this house's qualities.

This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a straircase straight ahead that leads to a room students may use as a quiet place to study, and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a staircase that goes down to the Boys Dorm, and to the right a staircase that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each staircase is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it.

On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements and signup sheet with the words 20 minutes max on it, for those wanting to sit on the couch and stare at the fire all emo like. On one of the coffee tables you see a copy of the Slytherin Scroll, a newsletter only for Slytherin Students.

A box is on an end table, where you may sign up for or to be a Serpent Sidekick, and a podium with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.

Eirian flopped down in her giant chair and smiled to herself. It wasn't as warm as she wanted. She felt ugly in her school uniform. She couldn't remember the last time someone held her. She could remember the last time she cried very clearly. There wasn't much good going in her life, but Eiri just... felt like smiling. Maybe it was overdue. Maybe the Common Room was suddenly full of serenity. But she smiled, and the little curl to her lips was genuine. If only she had someone to share her momentary happiness with... She'd go find Jay, but Eirian was too afraid that she'd use this feeling in the process of searching for her best friend.

Then she smiled back when Fee said she was fine "That's good. Besides, a frown doesn't really go well with all that pink you've tried to blend in with the school robes." She said pointedly as she gestured to her accessories

Freya raised her eyebrows when Cass explained to her what she missing. There's no way that could happened when she was MIA couldn't it? Cass must be joking but she had a straight face but she's a Slytherin they were trained to act like that.

The blonde rolled her eyes when her bestie burst out laugh. See she was trying to fool her. "If I don't know you better Cass. I'll think that you're serious back there." she chuckled.

Kimalia walked into the common for a little breather not too long ago. She inevitably chose a spot on the couch near two older students who seemed to be talking about homework. "Excuse me, but I couldn't help but overhear.." She turned to the girl, who clearly was older than her. "But I'm sure the professors used an cheating detection spell on all assignments, that's something I thought everyone knew.." Nice one Kimalia, that definitely didn't sound snooty at all. "I wouldn't want to see Slytherin suffer over something like that."

Kimalia blinked at the quick change from annoyance to satisfaction. Sometimes it's nice being in Slytherin, most people in the house won't take everything as serious. She smiled back, "Well, I'm Kimalia." she glanced at the other boy who had a very handsome face before nodding at him hoping to get his name. "This is probably one of the only times I'll ever apologize, buut I have these know-it-all tendencies that almost landed me in Ravenclaw, so I'm sorry for the random snootyness." She frowned hearing Maisie talk badly about herself. "Well, Arithmancy is really difficult anyways." It's true, although she seemed to have an understanding of it, not everyone is good at math she noted. "Have you tried the study tables?"

"I was going to help you and I meant really help you but I won't help you cheat even if you are my adopted brother's girlfriend." he sighed softly. He had integrity and was a good guy. "I don't like it when people just automatically make assumptions about me." He sighed and turned away from her.

The steam blowing out your ears is just embarrassing." And it was. She'd had to take some in the hospital wing recently, and the steam had been a terrible side-effect. She rolled her eyes when he mentioned the Gryffindors. "Well, that's why you should just stick to the Slytherins. Our own kind," as she had taken to calling them, "just know how to interact with one another."

She really needed to get to bed, though. She still felt terrible, and she just wanted to lie in bed and sleep. Connor got busy talking with a few other Slytherin girls, so Sierra gave them all a parting glance and then headed off to the girls dormitory.

Aurora flopped into a chair in front of the fire and picked Salvatore from her robes. He looked at her then scurried to sit in the embers, his tail curled around him. Aurora laughed a little and pulled her knees up to her chest. She took a bit out of a cookie she was holding and stared at the manuscript paper in her other hand. She had been trying to get this piece to work for days and she wasn't quite sure it was right yet. She took her quill and inked in a couple more notes, humming it softly to herself.

Fee chuckled a little at Freya's facial expression when she mentioned her missing."Oh well lady i am sorry",the girl laughed,"but how did you survive without us all the time?"The blonde was definitely being obnoxious but who cares.Hehe."Yeeees of course,we are totally popular",the Slytherin joked,"our lifes are busy."

Helena made her way towards the common room, holding a random book she found earlier in her trunk in one of her hands. She still had a lot of homework to do, but there was time for that as well. Or... wasn't it? She was not going to let in until the last day before the due date, but she wasn't in the mood of doing it right now either.

The girl made herself comfortable on an empty couch, right next to the fireplace. It felt good, feeling the warmth coming from the fire, since outside was... brrr. With her feet up, she placed the book on her lap to read, not exactly paying attention to what was going on in the common room.

"aww honey honey, you are so sweet, but honestly, I don't care ifi fail classes. It wouldve happened anyways!" she said smiling, "but I like you pop. How bout we go throw the baseball!" she said with a grin "can you summon my mit, ball, and bat for me?" she asked excited. She loved baseball! She grew up with it! It was a great game, and it was often referred to as americas pastime!

Dani sighed as she went into the common room, she adjusted her bag and carried the little gift basket her and Dan had put together for Connor- Luke had bought him something else, what she had no idea. She went and sat down on a sofa nearby, putting down her bag and basket as she quietly took out her Jane Austen book and began reading from where she'd gotten to. It wasn't something she'd done much of lately- but she really loved to read. And these books were so special, romantic and perfect. Oh how she wished men like Mr Darcy actually existed.

Aurora finished the piece with a flourish and put her quill down. She took a couple of dried worms from her pocket and placed them on her palm, lowering her hand to the floor. Salvatore uncurled himself and looked up, scurrying onto Aurora's palm and eating the worms. Aurora perched him on her knees and began doodling on the edge of her parchment, wondering what to write to her cousins.

He held a finger up in a BRB motion and ran to his dorm and came back with a pink wrapped gift box. Inside was a pink clutch purse and a silver charm bracelet with a silver and pink heart on it. "This is just my way of saying I'm sorry, It's not your christmas gift."
