Come and send a note or letter using your own owl or any of the school owls. Owls line the walls in nooks and on branches. Pellets and belladonna berries are on the floor.
Zara looked up to see Ness. She smiled and said, "I'm fine. Just finished the composition. I hope mum will like it."
Obviously, she completely forgot about everything that happened before. She had spent too much time on her piece that she can't actually remember much that happened. And now, she was having the best day of her life because she had made her very own piece. Plus she'd done it in Hogwarts. It was a bright future ahead of her.
"Oh I'm sure she will" said Nessie smiling again. Nessie gave Aya the letter, though didn't let her go yet. Nessie wanted to say goodbye properly first. She gave Aya a few more owl treats, then decided to stroke her for a bit before she left.

Zara nodded and turned her attention back to Eirwen. She stroked her feathers and patted her head, "Be careful, okay?" She smiled, it was the only thing she could say to her snowy owl.
Then Zara looked back at Nessie and asked, "How does this whole sending a post work anyway? Do we let our owls go away on their own now or is someone in charge of doing that stuff?" She wondered because she wanted to watch Eirwen fly as she delivered her letters.

"Oh you just tell your owl who to go to and they go" said Nessie turning back to Aya. "Go give this to mom and dad. Be as quick as you can and be careful" said Nessie giving her one more owl treat. She was glad to be with Zara again. Her and Zara had become real close. "So whats your owl's name? said Ness not remembering if Zara had already told her.

Ella jogged up the stone steps to the Owlery, Lullah sitting happily on her shoulder. As she got to the top of the steps she stopped dead, sighing slightly. Spotting Zara and Ness in conversation, Ella walked right on by. If they wantged to say 'hey' they could.
Frowning slightly, Ella pulled the crumpled letter out of her pocket. Rubbing her eyes, she let Lullah fly down to the window sill. She stroked the little owl, muttering words to her that nobody else could hear. Meh..
Attaching the letter carefully to her leg, she stroked her head again and looked at her. 'Be safe little lady, you know where to go.' Ella watched her fly away, missing the little owl already.

"Ohh," Zara faced her owl once again. "I'm gonna miss you, Eir. Be back as soon as you can okay? And don't forget, that's for mum and dad at Godric's Hollow." Seeing as Nessie gave an owl treat to hers, Zara took one out of her bag and gave it to Eirwen. "Go on, I'll miss you buddy. Come back soon!" She yelled after Eirwen, who had already flown away. Surely, her beautiful snowy owl was excited to fly and travel again. Waving goodbye at Eirwen, thought the owl couldn't really see since she's turned around, Zara smiled.
Then she reverted her attention back to Nessie. "Thanks for that. Her name's Eirwen."

Zara blinked in confusion. Why was Ella so...what was the word?Ah, she couldn't find a word. It's just that lately, she's been avoiding them. Not the usual happy Ella. And now she was gone, without saying a word to them. A simple wave. What was happening?
She was beginning to have a little sympathy in Matt. Girls were hard to understand, well that counted herself. She couldn't understand herself sometimes. Zara turned to Nessie, "What do you think happened to Ella?"
Did you just lose something? The GAME? Sorry... 'Justin Bieber, he is the man!' U mad, Felton!?
Rose walked up to her owl Hazel and wrote her letter and said to Hazel 'Do you think you could deliver a letter?' When Hazel stuck her leg out Rose guessed she could. She tied the letter to Hazel's leg and Hazel flew off.

"I don't know, but ever since yesterday she been acting kinda wierd to me" said Nessie having a confused face. She had been thinking about it the whole time. Why was Ella acting so strange. Nessie had feeling it was because of herself, but she didn't know what she did. "I think its because of me" she finally said.

Uh oh. No, Nessie. "Nessie! Don't say that!" Zara protested. She didn't want her friend to break down again. "Maybe it's just because we aren't hanging out anymore..." Zara wondered aloud. "Oh, I'm sorry. It's just that before, during the first day it was always her, me, and Matt together." She smiled. Yeah, those were the good times. It was full of teasing and fun at the common room. No worries, no problems. Zara sighed. The longer they stayed at Hogwarts, their bond wasn't as strong anymore. Maybe that's why.

"Well Im not stopping her from being with us" said Ness trying to defend herslef. Why did evryone think she was being so mean. She was in Hufflepuff after all wasn't she meant to be th friendliest. " I'm sorry, Im really not trying to do that!!Maybe the sorting hat made a mistake" said Nessie wondering why she was in Hufflepuff if she was so mean.

"I know that Nessie, don't worry. I don't blame you," she smiled comfortingly at her friend, still leaning on the railing then looked up at the sky.
That reminds her! She still has homework to do. "Say, Nessie. You wanna come with me and do homework in the library? I need someone to study with." She smiled. But if not, she could always drag Matt along. Even if he wasn't really the person who seemed to be interested in doing so, she had to drag him, even if it means literally drag him. Zara smirked, "But if you can't it's okay. I can take Matt along," and immediately, she had evil plans in her mind when she's in the library with Matt. Of course she'd never forget to tease him and remind him each and every minute about his first hug.

"yeah sure I'll come help you" said Ness she had already finished her homework, but was always ther to help friends. The two girls walked out the Owlery together happily and cheerfully.

"Thanks!" Zara said, wondering if Nessie was done with it. The homework was given just a few hours ago, if Nessie was done then she'd probably done it as soon as possible. She followed Nessie out of the owlery.
Once again, the friends were united. All awkwardness was in the past.
Ruby had wandered up to the Owlery because her father wanted up-to-date news of her new term at Hogwarts. She grumbled as she climbed the stairs, clutching a roll of parchment, a quill, and some ink in her hand. She didn't think it was fair that her wanted letters that often--she simply didn't have the time to write to him. She was too busy conquering the school and evading people...and her classes. Not being that bright, Ruby usually skipped all her classes until she got caught.
Finally reaching the landing of the Owlery, she was first slightly taken aback by the noise...and the mess. It smelled kinda gross cause there were owl droppings EVERYWHERE and she had to watch where she stepped. Couldn't these owls be potty trained?! Ugh gross.
She made her way to the edge of the tower and then looked up for a suitable owl. She would never want to OWN a disgusting animal that pooped everywhere so of course she didn't have her own owl, but she knew you could borrow one of the school's owls if you needed to send a letter. Row upon row of owls greeted her (or rather, screeched at her) but Ruby scowled at all of them.

He was only in possession of a cat named Bree, who had followed to boys from Ravenclaw tower to the owlery, hoping to sneak in at their heels. At the last moment, Theodore had urged her away. Who knew what that crazy tabby would do in a room full of birds?
"Thanks for coming with me." Theodore thanked his lion-like friend, again, and searched the perches for a free owl. "I hope they write back soon. I'd hate to have to miss the first Hogsmeade trip." Finding an owl and grabbing a piece of string one person had left lying around, he reread his letter and, rolling it up, tied it warily to the scaly leg of the obliging tawny owl. Blinking, as if in salute, the owl took off from the nearest window. Leaning out of the window, he peered after it. That was, until he looked down and realized exactly how high up they were. Shuddering, Theodore pulled himself back inside immediately, shaking it off. "Ugh, facial hairz heights. Me no like dems."
He took a hand to brush his hair back, shaking off his momentary bout of fear.
"No problem, mate," said Braeden distractedly as he followed Theodore into the owlery, a bag of magical flavour-changing chips in his hands (they'd made a quick stop by the Great Hall because, according to Braeden, 'a growing boy needs food'). The boy allowed his brown eyes to gaze around the area absentmindedly while his Ravenclaw buddy attached his letter to the nearest owl and watched it go out the window.
The goofy Gryffindork licked his fingers before having to battle the owls off him as they demanded the bag of chips in his hand. Eventually, after much poking the boy with their beaks and pulling his lion's mane hair with their claws, the sneaky birds were able snatch the bag of chips from him, leaving Braeden empty-handed and frustrated. "Bloody owls…" He threw them a death glare before turning back to Theodore only to find the boy going through a brief moment of vertigo.
"Whoa, you alright there, mate?" he asked as the Ravenclaw stumbled back, away from the window. Braeden placed a hand over the boy's shoulder almost protectively, helping him to regain his balance. Once Theo regained his composure, Braeden took a moment to examine him and laughed lightly. Ah, the poor boy was so clueless it almost made Brae seem wise. "You've got bits of hay on your shoulder," he said, proceeding to brush them off for the boy. D'aw. Poor Theo.

They were all UGLY.
As he took a step back from his Ravenclaw friend, Braeden caught sight of the back of an all-too-familiar head full of red hair.
WELL, WELL, WELL.
Whaddaya know? Ruby Blair, Voldemort's long lost granddaughter, in the flesh. It had been a while since he'd last seen her. But then again, he'd been avoiding her like the plague since the term started, just in case she remembered what had happened between them at Diagon Alley… or worse yet, if she had seen the picture he'd taken of them during that brief, surreal time where they were actually getting along. He'd made sure to show it off to every Gryffindor that walked in and out of the common room all through that first week of classes.
Oh, bloody hell. If Ruby sees him…
Braeden then turned to Theo and very quietly murmured, "I--I think we should-- we should get going." As he spoke, the boy began to take very quiet, sneaky steps back toward the entrance of the owlery, keeping his brown eyes glued to the fiery redhead who he prayed to Merlin would never turn around and catch him.
But then, instead of going out the doorway as he had planned (walking backwards, which wasn't wise), the Gryffindork ended up instead crashing into a large family of owls that immediately began screeching and complaining, flapping their wings furiously and pecking at the boy's head with their beaks.

"GAHHHHHH!! GET 'EM OFF! GET 'EM OFF!!"
Theodore felt comforted by the presence of Braeden's hand. It was an affectionate touch, albeit crumb-covered from the Gryffindor's precious crisps. "I-I'm alright." Smiling and chuckling softly, he bent over to tie his shoelace. It would definitely need to be replaced soon. While the sixth year became caught up in his shoelace, his mind only filled with happy and carefree thoughts, that's when the trouble started. Upon tying the knot and rising, he turned and his blue eyes widened with surprise to find that Braeden looked disgruntled, something unusual for the little lion man. Cocking his head to the side, he witnessed two owls wrestling with the food that had once been that of the Gryffindor's. "Aw, Brae..." Theodore began, shaking his head as he trailed off. Brae should've known better than to bring food to the owlery unless he had been willing to share with the owls.
Despite this minor mishap, Theodore kept trudging on, attempting to bring up his mate's spirits. "Don't worry about it," He muttered, giving the stink eye to the birds in the vicinity, "We can always head down to the kitchens again and get as much food as you want, Brae. Don't cry over spilled... chips." Even the Ravenclaw had to wince at the stupidity of his unfunny, childish pun.
The situation was only made even stranger by Braeden's sudden change of demeanor. Upon entering the tower, he had been perfectly happy. After losing the fight for his food, he had become disgruntled. And now, all of a sudden, he was a bit spazzy. A bit Theo-like, if the curly-headed kid were to be honest. "But... Brae?" His brown eyebrows rose high on his forehead as Brae stumbled back into disaster. His blue eyes glanced at the random redhead that had appeared; what must she think of this nonsense?
The sound of loud squawking, both from the Gryffindor and the birds, alerted Theo to take his eyes off of the stranger and turn back to his friend. Everything was a tornado of feathers and limbs as the animals and the sixth year flailed around. Attempting not to panic, Theodore whipped out his wand and yelled over the fury of sound: "Keep calm! I-I can fix this!" With a quick swish of his wand and the utterance of the confundus charm, the owls stopped their pecking and fighting at once, their faces utterly bemused. His chest heaving slightly from anxiety, he managed to smile as he put his wand away. "You alright, mate?" Theodore inquired as he made his way over to his henpecked companion, picking a few feathers from his hair.

Ruby was, however, interrupted in her thoughts which included strangling these dumb birds, no doubt by loud screeching coming from behind her. Rolling her eyes in annoyance, she turned to see what the birds were yelling about now. She hadn't even touched them yet!
Once the scene cleared a bit, she saw two boys, one of whom was putting away his wand, having just performed a spell that had calmed the ruckus. And the other boy...oh BOY. The other boy was none other than the Goofball himself. Of course he'd be making a mess everywhere he went.
Ruby smiled maliciously at him, crossing her arms on her chest.
"Fancy seeing you here, Marshmallow," She said, her eyes flashing. She had been hearing some funny rumors about some picture that Brae had been showing the students. He probably drew some pathetic scribble of his fat mouth filled with more marshmallows. But she could ask him about it now, just to make sure he wasn't doing anything illegal...
Her green eyes made their way over to his buddy, who she had never seen before. Surely he wasn't a Gryffie or she could have picked out his face from her visits to the Common Room. But it was quite a surprise to see Brae with a friend for once.

"OW! OW, OW, OW! GAHH!! GE'ROFF!!!!!"
Blasted, bloody owls! What did he ever do to deserve such abuse from their part?! They had already taken his chips, what more did they want?!
As Theodore asked the Gryffindor boy to keep calm, Braeden tried his best to follow his advice, but it was hard to when you had a whole pack of owls trying to poke your eyes out. Luckily for the Gryffindork, though, Theodore had been quick to place a confundus charm on the birds, leaving Brae free of any more feathery attacks.
Pulling his arms down to his sides (he'd had them up covering his face and flailing around all this time), Braeden stared at HIS SAVIOUR with large brown sparkling eyes. "Theo…" He… he… he'd just… "You saved my life!" exclaimed the over-emotional Gryffindor. That near-death experience had left him a little light-headed and with a whole new appreciation for life. "You saved my life!"
Two seconds later, he was crushing the Ravenclaw boy into the tightest, most painful of hugs (painful for Theo). He was a saviour! A SAVIOUR!
And then there was a voice.
Pulling back from the overdramatic hug, Braeden turned his head to the source of the sound.
Aw crap, Ruby was still there. He'd kind of forgotten the reason he'd walked into all those owls in the first place. But… she was just standing there looking threatening as she always did, why didn't she… attack him? Kick him? Punch him? Shove him? Something?! Could it be she hadn't seen the infamous picture yet?
Oh.
Ooohoho.
OOOHOHOHOHHO!!!
Okay, this was his chance to run.
"Fancy seeing you here, Lioness," said the boy casually, playing along. He stood with his hands behind his back, his right foot absentmindedly kicking at some dirt on the floor before speaking again, "Well! Theo and I were just leaving!" The boy turned to Theodore with pleading eyes then. "Right, Theo?" Riiiiiiiight?! Before the crazy redhead kills me and feeds me to the owls?!

Ruby watched as Brae crushed the other boy in a very tight hug, her eyebrows reaching their limit on her forehead. What was this, some new Brae charactistic that she didn't know about him yet?! Was Brae...? Okay no. Let's not go there. *gag*
But then he replied to her and she noticed that there was no fear in his voice. This wasn't good--was he getting immune to her evilness? Ahh but then he was in such a rush to leave! HA.
She narrowed her eyes at the pair, looking at one and then the other. There was something going on there... "Wait!" She yelled quickly. "I've got something for you, Brae!" She smiled her sweet-but-not-so-sweet smile at him and then walked towards him, one hand in a fist behind her back. "It's a present," She said as she continued to walk towards him slowly. Surely he was stupid enough to believe that she would have something GOOD for him. The poor boy would be taken by surprise!

One could say that this situation was an eyebrow-raiser, for sure.
Almost falling over with the weight of Brae's bear hug, Theodore clapped him on the back awkwardly. "No problem, mate!" He said, grinning a bit half-heartedly. Did Stonem forget that they were in the presence of another person? As he was released, Theodore was able to get the full measure of the girl in the vicinity. She didn't look pleased.
Glancing between the ginger girl and his lion-maned buddy, Theodore's face was utterly bemused: his blue eyes were as wide as saucers, his teeth were clamped down on his thin lower lip, and his eyebrows had risen so high that they had nearly disappeared under his thick, brown, curly hair. And... "marshmallow" and "lioness?" What was this madness? The girl's fiery temperament seemed to match the color of her hair, which was a pity. Pretty girls with nasty demeanors were always quite unsettling to the sixth year.
"Um... are you sure?" Theodore followed along slowly, but was uneasy all the same. What in Merlin's baggy trousers was going on?!

Braeden felt his heart drop to the very bottom of his stomach, crushed and heavy as Theodore asked if he was sure they had to go. ;______; Of course he was sure! He was about to be murdered! There was nothing in this world he'd been more sure of!
The Cowardly Lion then hastily grabbed Theodore's arm and was just about to make a run for it when, suddenly, Ruby called out, demanding that they wait. Frozen, Braeden stopped a couple steps from the doorway and turned around slowly. Oh Merlin, Ruby was approaching him! The boy whimpered, seeming to lose a good five inches of his tall height.
And then Ruby announced she had something for him, a present.
Oh?
… Braeden LOVED presents!!
Now nearly bouncing around in excitement, the Gryffindork released his Ravenclaw buddy and allowed one of those goofy lopsided grins of his to lighten up his expression. "You do?!" he asked eagerly. "What is it?!" Please let it be ice cream, please let it be ice cream!

Ruby was pleased to learn that the other boy knew nothing of her and Brae's background. So there was no way he would try to interfere, hehe. Unless, of course, he actually liked the stupid Goofball, and from the looks of it, that could quite possibly be true. How in earth someone could befriend a dumb idiot like Brae was beyond Ruby for sure. Unless that person was an idiot himself.
And now, he had fallen for her trick, which she was sure her 5-year-old neighbor wouldn't have fallen for. Marshmallow was seriously pathetic. She walked right up to him and smiled maliciously again before...WACK! She punched him right on the nose.
"That's for getting ink all over my new robes over the summer," She grumbled. Nope, she didn't forget what happened in Diagon Alley...although some of the details were fuzzy.
And with that, she rushed past them, running out of the Owlery in case Brae's 'friend' decided to come after her. Cause obviously Goofball wouldn't think of running after her, the slowpoke.
