You're searching the castle for a mysterious room you have heard of called The Room of Requirement. You have searched every nick and cranny of the castle but still no room. You climb the stairs to the seventh floor and come across a stange tapestry showing Barnabas the Barmy trying to teach trolls to dance the ballet. You laugh at the silly tapestry until you side almost burst. Then you remember hearing the Room is located opposite such a tapestry. You turn around expecting to see a door, but find a blank wall instead. You start walking back and forth three times concentrating hard on what it is you need. Suddenly a door appears. You open it and discover you have found the Room of Requirement...
Anakin made his way to the end of the corridor before the Room of Requirement, before leaning against the bare wall beside the tapestry. He'd been rather put out with the rather large Defense Against the Dark Arts assignment, and he'd not been very confident on who he could ask to help him with the ballroom dancing, nor who'd be able to help him with the singing thing. Until Vashti came to mind.
Ani had decided to zip her off an owl and see if she was available to meet for awhile and work together on one or the other. It could be fun. Besides, he DID like spending time with her.
Anakin straightened his shirt a little, the green Vader one she'd given him for his birthday last year, and waited to see if she'd show.

As Vashti left her common room and headed down the corridor towards the place where the Room of Requirement was said to be, she held her DADA assignment in front of her, glaring at what was listed on number five, as if that might make it disappear. Why ballroom dancing of all things? She would have much rather run another five miles or whatever. Or fly a broom around the pitch several times until she was dizzy. She would've accepted anything else, really.
She'd had half a mind to just ignore it - and the singing one because she didn't sing either - until she'd gotten an owl from Anakin about it. So apparently she was going to be doing this after all - maybe - but only because he was the one who asked. Maybe she'd be able to talk him out of it and they could run or something instead. She hadn't danced at the Ravenclaw celebration party last term when Emily and Deus tried to make her; she wasn't sure she would be able to bring herself to do it now.
With a sigh, Vashti folded the paper and stuffed it into her pocket as she neared the tapestry that was said to indicate where the entrance to the Room of Requirement was. It seemed Lord Vader was already there and - wait...
"You're wearing it," she said with a laugh, noticing his shirt.

Ah yes, Chocolate Girl and then that other boy. What had he smelled like again? Walnut went over to Connor and sniffed his shoe. Ah, that's right, vanilla with a hint of cinnamon. Sitting his kingly self down right in the middle of the trio playing those silly human instruments, Walnut began licking his paw to clean himself behind the ears.
Kurumi slowly opened the door that had FINALLY appeared just in time to see Connor hitting what she assumed was the climax of his song and she felt her heart skip a beat and her cheeks instantly flushed a deep pink. She KNEW that she had heard his voice when her and Zara were stuck pacing outside the Room of Requirement trying to make the ruddy door appear.
Standing in the door way in awe, Kurumi watched as Connor poured his entire being into singing his song. It was only when Walnut had rubbed up against her leg that she snapped back to the present.
"Z-Z-Zara...we found it..." she whispered.
Connor smiled softly, but his entire face lit up when he saw Kurumi. He stepped down off the stage and walked over to her, wrapping her in a hug that probably enceloped her in his sweet scent but he didn't care. He was so happy to see her even though their swimming adventure had only been two days ago. He then took a step back and looked at her. "Hello Kurumi, you look very beautiful today." He told her honestly, but knowing her the way he did she probably would not believe him. He reached out and lightly rubbed his knuckles down her soft fair cheek. He smiled softly at her then hugged her again.
He broke the hug to kneel down while reacing into his pocket dor some cat trears and a tinkle ball for Walnut. "Hey there Walnut. You been keeping the ladies in line over in Gryffindor tower?" He asked softly, petting the cat. He got up and walked over to Kurumi again. "So when are you going to introduce me to your friend?" He asked her teasingly.

Turning to Kurumi she softly said, "Yes, we have," but Zara still couldn't believe it. The fact slowly sinked into her system.
"Hi Heather," she grinned cheerfully, the after effects of the song still ringing in her head and ears. What does Heather mean by what happened? Looking at Kurumi, she saw what Heather meant. Now, why were Kurumi's cheeks blushing? "Well, for the most part we've been wandering outside, trying to get the door to appear. For the blushing, well, I really don't know." Zara replied, eying the piano in the corner.

Before Kurumi could answer Heather's question, Zara did the job for her...sort of. Kurumi noticed the tips of her hair were turning a bit pink, so she quickly reached for her ponytail and gripped the bottom of it tightly in her fist.
Think about ice...think about ice...think about ice...
That seemed to do the trick, although her cheeks were still a bit flushed. "Zara and I had conflicting ideas and our minds wandered too much to find the entrance properly," Kurumi giggled in attempt to cover up her blushing.
Kurumi then noticed Dani and shouldn't have been surprised to see her. After all, the blonde had said that her and Connor were really close the last time the two had spoken. "H-H-Hello Dani," she said bowing her head shyly.

Zara nodded, "Well, I guess you know my name. But, anyway, I'm Zara; Danielle Zara Griffiths." She said. Then her eyes drifted back to where the piano was. She couldn't wait to try it.

Glancing down at it, Anakin grinned before looking back at her. "It's my favorite." Even if he'd still yet to see the movies.
Pulling out his written list of assignments, Anakin raised an eyebrow looking up at her. "You ready to work on this? I was thinking we could start with the ballroom dancing one?" Considering that was the first one on the list that had to do with having a partner. Looking at the blank wall and back, Ani offered his hand, "Help me conjure up the room? Pleaseee?"

For a split second, Kurumi wonder just who Connor had written the song for. Dani? But then she was reminded of one of the times her and her had spent together over the summer holiday. He HAD mentioned that he wanted to write a song for her...but was this it?
Her cheeks flushed as she listened and she hugged her knees to her chest and rested her chin there, not once taking her eyes off him as her performed.
This song...couldn't possibly be about her, could it? She was so plain and shy compared to other girls. Despite what he had told her that one day, about not being interested in anyone else and waiting for her, Kurumi really wondered if she was worth it...with all her insercurities.
When he had finished, Kurumi just looked at him in awe. "T-T-That was beautiful," she said clapping her hands. Not the sort of music she was used to, but it was hard to listen to anything other than ballads when only a piano was involved.

Vashti smiled. She was glad that he liked it so much. She had hoped he would - of course, as she wouldn't have given it to him if she thought he would completely hate it. "Good," she said. "Now I just need to get you to watch the movies." She wasn't sure how or when that would happen, since TVs and other electronic things didn't work in Hogwarts. Next summer perhaps, or maybe even during one of the breaks, if she wasn't too busy. Maybe.
Aw, Merlin. He did want to do the dancing one. "Um, er, well..." she stammered, shifting her weight from one foot to the other awkwardly. "I'm not really that good at dancing." That was putting it lightly. Help conjure the room? "Um, sure. What...kind of room are we going for exactly?" If he insisted on dancing, she wasn't sure what the best sort of room for ball room dancing was. Would it be those really elaborate ones that you see in fairy tale movies or would it be better to keep it simpler? She was of the opinion that the more elaborate one would be better because then he'd probably be too distracted by all the pretty shinyness to notice how awful she was at dancing.

Even performing it again for real, Connor was so awesome. Heather clapped feverishly for her big brother, and she was really proud he was able to perform the song for Kurumi. After all, it is a song for Kurumi.
When he stepped down, she took a deep breath and stepped up. "I g-guess it's my turn..." she said, trying to smile, and prepared herself to perform at stepping up on stage. "u-uhm...this used to be m-my dad's favorite song...I hope i do it good. Please...i h-hope you a-all enjoy my performance." she said and started to perform.
"Wow, that is a beautiful violin," Kurumi chirped as she walked over to Heather and stood. She looked up at Heather. "I didn't know you knew how to play." He occasionally looked over at her and smiled. He enjoyed the ease and confidence that seemed to be in their relationship following the conversation at the lake and their play date at the same location. They were getting to understand each other better he felt, and she seemed to better understand his need to express himself emotionally. He'd noticed that she didn't flinch when they held hands as they were right then.

Connor's eyes filled with tears at the beautiful music. Any kind of beautiful music always touched his heart. He gently squeezed Kurumi's hand as the song ended then he gave his baby sister a standing ovation. He took her into his arms and hugged her. "I'm so proud of you." He whispered into her ear.

Kurumi sat on the ground holding her knees to her chest and was a bit surprised when Connor came and sat down next to her and her cheeks flushed when he took his hand in hers. Hesitant to keep her hand in his, she closed her eyes and counted to ten before she made a decision either way, and she decided to remain the way she was as she listened to Heather.
A smile crept across the Gryffindor's face as Heather played her violin. She had no idea that Heather knew how to play. Perhaps she had been rather shy about her hidden talent. Kurumi knew that she sure was when it came to such things.
"Heather, that was fantastic," Kurumi chirped clapping her hands.
Suddenly, Kurumi felt like all eyes were on her seeing as she hadn't performed anything yet. Her eyes stopped on a grand piano and her cheeks flushed.
Nervously, she went to reached into her bag for the cookies she had brought with her, when some sheet music feel out and onto the floor. Kurumi had, strangely enough, felt like writing some original scores recently.
Her cheeks turned bright red and she wanted to scream at everyone not to look. Too bad one piece had fallen onto Connor's shoe.
"S-S-S-Sorry!" she squeaked. "I-I-It's nothing...just s-s-s-something I wrote the other n-n-n-night..."

Connor shot Dani a look that said be nice ot our talk later won't be so nice. He smiled to let her know he waas just joking but he really wasn't.
While the ladies were talking, Connor had snuck back onto the stage. "I need to dazzle her Room of requirement, I need a band to do it right." Connor instructed the band and then turned around. "Excuse me ladies but One of you here was told over the summer that I would write you a song. I would like to sing it for you now if' you will. he gestured to the seats in front of the stage.
He reached into his pocket and picked out the drumsticks Kurumi had given him as the elecronica beat to the song started and he did the opening drumming. He then came around to the front of the stage. He grabbed the microphone and began to Sing to Kurumi and the other ladies
"So I got my boots on, got the right 'mount of leather
And I'm doing me up with a black color liner
And I'm workin' my strut but I know it don't matter
All we need in this world is some love
There's a thin line 'tween the dark side and the light side baby tonight
It's a struggle gotta rumble trying to find it
But if I had you, that would be the only thing I'd ever need
Yeah if I had you, then money, fame and fortune never could compete
If I had you, life would be a party it'd be ecstasy
Yeah, if I had you
You y-y-y-y-you
You y-y-y-y-you
You y-y-y-y-you
If I had you.
From New York to LA getting high rock n' rollin
Get a room trash it up 'til it's ten in the morning
Girls in sparkly heels, boys rolling in Maseratis
What they need in this world is some love
There's a thin line tween a wild time and a flat line baby tonight
It's a struggle, gotta rumble tryin' to find it
But if I had you, that would be the only thing I'd ever need
Yeah if I had you, then money, fame and fortune never could compete
If I had you, life would be a party it'd be ecstasy
Yeah, if I had you
You y-y-y-y-you
You y-y-y-y-you
You y-y-y-y-you
If I had
The flashing of the lights
It might feel so good
But I've got you stuck on my mind, yeah!
The fashion and the stage
It might get me high
But it don't mean a thing tonight
That would be the only thing I'd ever need
Yeah, if I had you, the money, fame and fortune never could compete
If I had you, life would be a party it'd be ecstasy
Yeah, if I had you
You-y-y-y-y-you
You-y-y-y-y-you
You-y-y-y-y-you
If I had you
That would be the only thing I'd ever need
Yeah, if I had you, then money, fame and fortune never could compete (never could compete with you)
If I had you, life would be a party it'd be ecstasy (it'd be ecstasy with you)
Yeah, if I had you
You y-y-y-y-you
You y-y-y-y-you
You y-y-y-y-you
If I had you"
He smiled at the girls and then hopped off the stage and went to sit next to Kurumi and wait to hear the next person play or sing as the band disappeared, no longer needed.
Whoah. Did Connor just hug Kurumi? Zara had just another discovery that Kurumi was blushing a while ago probably because of Conor. Oh. That song was probably dedicated to Kurumi. Zara smiled and listened to the performance. It was a good song, really very upbeat.
She clapped after he performed and watched again as he went to sit down beside Kurumi.

She smiled at Zara. Good call.
Kurumi adjusted the shoulder strap of her bag that was a little heavy due to the cookies she had inside. Sadly, she wasn't sure that she had enough to share with everyone. Maybe if they snapped the cookies in half and shared they could each get more than just a nibble.
"Lovely to see you as well," she blushed bowing her head again.
Setting her bag down, Kurumi took a seat on a cushion rather than one of the chairs. She felt more comfortable on the floor where she wasn't so much the center of attention.
There wasn't denying it. Something was going on between them and Zara felt like she shouldn't be there. She was a first year, for Merlin's sake. Plus, she knew she couldn't possibly try her composition with all the people. No, she would be nervous and probably end up not doing it at all. In her mind, she thought of coming back for another time, hoping that the room would appear next time. Yes, that was what she'd do. Not now, she can't perform now. She was too...hate to admit it but she was too...scared.

She mouthed, "Great job!" as she did a thumbs up with both her hands.

As Kurumi fumbled with the pages she had dropped, she realized that they were all out of order. Thank MERLIN for that. Now she could stall a bit having to reorganize them...and she was missing a page.
Kurumi glanced over at Zara when she heard Heather speak to the first year and a gentle smile crept across her face. Setting her parchments on her cushion, she walked over to the first year and set a sisterly hand on the girl's shoulder.
"Zara, you should go first," she encouraged. "You wanted to find this room more than I did, and now here is your chance." She nodded her head towards the piano and then leaned in a bit more to whisper to her. "You don't have anything to worry about with us watching and listening to you. Think of it as a great opportunity to share your gift with others."
Kurumi looked over her shoulder and saw that the missing piece of parchment she was looking for was under Connor's foot. It could stay there right now. It wasn't her time to be in the spotlight.

He looked at it with his musician's eye and began sight reading the notes and softly whistling the tune. This was amazing! Merlin if she would work with him on this it would make a very beautiful ballad. He looked up at her and asked her softly. "Will you play this for me please?"

Her eyes widened as he noticed the other piece under his boot. She was rather hoping that she would be able to crawl across the floor unnoticed and snatch it up before he noticed. No such luck.
Blushing, she took the remaining sheet music and taking a peek at Connor through her dark bangs. "It's...it's really not all that good...still a work in progress," she blushed looking at the parchment and then back at Connor. His blue eyes had a strange calming effect on her and she somehow knew that he wasn't going to take no for an answer. "O-O-O-O-Okay..."
Gathering herself and playing with her hair a bit as she made her way over to the piano, Kurumi set the sheets on it and took a seat. Her fingers settled on the keys and she closed her eyes before taking a deep breath. Opening them again, Kurumi began to play.

Zara listened to Kurumi play. Ahh, they all played wonderful songs. This made her heart beat faster, no she'd be different. She didn't want to be different. As Kurumi was done, Zara smiled at her approvingly. She did great!
Connor found himself drawn to her and to the tune, it was as if she were the veela and he were the one being attracted. He walked up to the piano and sat on the stool beside her, watching and humming the tune. It was as if the boundaries between them were gone because the beautiful music erased them. "Hmmm No Boundaries." He thought. When she got to the chorus again he sang softly the lyric that had just popped into his head.
"With every step you climb another mountain
Every breath it's harder to believe
You make it through the pain, weather the hurricanes
To get to that one thing"
He looked at Kurumi and smiled. "That is a beautiful song, I-I want to help you finish it if you will let me." He whispered, blushing and releasing a puff of his vanilla-cinnamon scent.

Kurumi's cheeks burned when she felt Connor come and sit next to her and it was almost enough for her to stop playing, but she was able to keep her composure enough to not do so. Thankfully, he had decided to come sit by her right as she had hit the quieter part of the song, so her mild fumbling of the keys went unnoticed.
"Thank you," she smiled looking over her shoulder and pushing a few locks of her black hair behind her ear. Kurumi thought about the lyrics Connor had whispered almost into her ear. She wasn't sure if he had meant for her to hear his words or not, but they struck a note inside her that she had not expected simple lyrics to be able to do. "I-I-I'd like that," she nodded.
Kurumi gathered up her papers and set them on her lap as she tried to control her blushing. After several moments, she turned her attention to Zara. "Zara, will you please play for us too?"

Connor was so sweet with Kurumi. Zara was really happy for her friend to find someone like Connor.
Zara? Play a song? Noooo! "Erm, honestly Kurumi. I'm really not good in crowds. I think I'll just go back some other time and play," she said. Really, she didn't want to play. It was too awkward. "Play us another song, Kurumi. It's really good." Zara tried to change the subject.

After walking around for what seemed like hours Nika groaned. "Where is the stupid room!" She looked around then back at Emily and shrugged. "Sorry that I've dragged you along with me. I'm sure it's here some where though. If only we keep looking maybe we can find it?" It had to be here somewhere. Nika refused to give up.
"Well see I don't even know how I found it. I was with my friend last term and I really had to use the loo, but I couldn't find one anywhere. I was pretty much lost." She explained hoping Emily would believe her. "Then I just sort of really wished I could find one and I saw this door!" She said with her eyes opened widely as she became excited. "I opened it and TADA! There were just about thirty different toilets. The room was filled with them!" She didn't know how it happened and apparently neither did Samira.
"So I walked out and my friend and I were just about to leave when I realized I should go have another look in the room and show it to her! It was really cool looking! And I turned around to go back in, but I just bumped my head on the wall. The door was gone." Maybe this room only shows up sometimes? Maybe it's bipolar? A bipolar room...?
"I thought maybe we could find it so I can show it to you but I can't find it!" She said tapping her foot impatiently. Must be here somewhere.

Blushing, and frowning just a bit as Zara didn't feel comfortable enough to play in front of them all, Kurumi turned her head to look at the first year and offer her a smile. "Maybe some other time," she winked. Now that she knew how to find the room, it shouldn't be too much of a problem, right?
Her cheeks flushed a bit more when Zara asked for her to play again. "A-A-Alright, one more," she nodded shyly turning her attention back to the black and white keys in front of her. The first song that came to her mind was one that she had been hearing every night before she fell asleep. It was the song that her mother always played and Kurumi was pretty sure that she had heard it so many time that she could have played it by the time she was standing if she had been tall enough to reach the piano keys.
Closing her eyes, fo rthere was no need for her to be able to see the keys while she played this, Kurumi's fingers pressed down on the keys and she began to play once more.

Zara instantly fell in love with the song. It was her kind of music. Soft, wonderful melody, and simply beautiful. Closing her eyes, Zara imagined being in a garden full of colorful flowers and enjoying the sunlight. When Kurumi was done, Zara gave her a standing ovation. She was very happy and starting to feel a little comfortable, though the others still made Zara feel nervous. "Beautiful, Kurumi. Just beautiful." She smiled as she clapped some more.

Connor smiled at Kurumi. Merlin, she was so beautiful in the light from the Candelabra nearby. He took a deep breath and stood, turning to Zara. "I'm so sorry Zara, I seem to have lost myself. I have been so rude. Will you please play for us?" He smiled and turned on the veela charm just a little for the first year.

Connor squatted down in front of his new friend. "You know Zara, stage fright is normal. There is a way to overcome it though. I bet if you try it you won't be so scared to play for an audience. Will you try it for me?" He asked kindly. He was everybody's big brother it seemed so why not take another little sister under his wing. "Tell you what, if Kurumi will play another one for us, I'll teach you the technique and then if you're brave enough you can try it." He smiled sweetly at her.

Orabelle looked around the room. Mmm... it wasn't too bad she supposed, given, she had seen better back home at the Bellamonte Castle but this was alright. She glanced at the little bow he gave and gave a curtsy. "Uhm... sure, thanks," Orabelle said as she unclasped the cloak and handed it to Michael. She looked around the place once more. It had a bit of a warm feeling to it. "It's... alright, I suppose it was worth the wait," Orabelle said slowly. At least this place did seem much nicer than the rest of the castle. "Where is this place anyways?" Orabelle asked.
