SHUTTTTTTUPPPPP IVAN youu... ah. Okay. Jim felt bad when Ivan DID shush, especially when it was obvious his friend wasn't well.

He should have.

What did that mean?

He gave Mia a panicked look when she stood up to take Ivan to the hospital wing? Was that where? He hadn't quite been listening.

Ivan tried to move away from Neptune's hand as she placed it on his forehead. He didn't want to be touched he wanted to... UGH then she placed it over his mouth and he pushed her arm away, "Your hand smells like muffins." And it was most definitely gross right now.

He gave her a small knowing smirk and nodded, "I find it best to just let it all out. Otherwise people might start thinking I'm hiding stuff." Uh huh. Like you two.

He barely noticed Mia coming around until she placed a hand on his shoulder and he frowned. He didn't want to go then he'd be missing all this beautiful tension, blushes from Neptune and death glares from James. Too bad he wasn't feeling well or he'd enjoy this even more.

Glancing at Mia he sighed and stood up. Yeah she was like Lexi and wasn't going to let him stay without a fight. "Fine, fine, fine. Ruin all my fun. Can you help me to the common room instead of the hospital wing?" Last thing he wanted was that gross stuff they made him take.

He leaned toward Neptune and gave her a wink, "You two behave now." Glancing at James he grinned widely and then looked back at Neptune, "You know he likes you...you should just go out with him already. It's making me sick looking at the poor puppy dog look on his face." He wrapped an arm around Mia's shoulder as if he'd said nothing of any importance and pointed toward the door, "Lead on!"

Neptune was feeling quite pleased about her potential knitting lesson - the inner Ravenclaw was always yearning to learn new things. Even somewhat silly things like knitting. .....but then Mia was.... leaving? Why? WHATWASTHATLOOK/NODTHING? O__O Mia was like SO nice and the peacemaker and why was she leaving????? O___O!!!

She didn't LOOK at Jimmy. She was trying not to. He didn't know. Mmm no. Not thinking about that.

"I think you should see the nurse, too, Ivan. No one wants you to puke in the Common Room either..........................." Neptune trailed off and her mouth fell slightly open at Ivan's parting words.


Just.... what? No. Neptune couldn't even begin to process that. "He's delirious," Neptune mumbled, making excuses for Ivan's lack of GOOD JUDGEMENT. She raised her eyes to look at Jim, but it wasn't exactly a friendly look. What exactly was he telling Ivan? And and... DIDN'T KNOW? Jim didn't KNOW???Really??!!?

Now she was getting looks from both Neptune and James. Panicked looks. It almost made her sit back down. But she was not about play referee between the two and besides they were old enough to sort this out themselves.

And if she didn't get Ivan out of there, James was likely to do something. Actually if Mia was a violent person she probably would have hit him in the back of the head to shut him up.

"You have absolutely no tact Ivan Vorpatril." she said as she practically dragged him towards the doors of the great hall. "I think that tape worm is effecting your brain as well as your stomach. And you really should see the Healer because so help me Ivan, if you puke on me I am going to rub your nose in it."

Jim headdesked.

Of course Jim just pretended like nothing had happened.

He straightened up and grabbed a muffin.

He looked at Neptune and then Mia and shook his head. OHHhh he shouldn't have done that. Reaching up he grabbed his head and sighed, "I don't want to see the healer. I want to lie down and sleep. And I'm not a dog Mia," he said irritably. Really. Why were they treating him like he was a baby?

"Whoever said I did have tact? Just trying to speed up an inevitable process that both seem to be ignoring." Ugh whatever. If they wanted to keep playing their stupid little game, FINE. He leaned on Mia and let her drag him out of the Great Hall. "Tape worms don't effect your brain. How do you get tape worms? I know animals get it from fleas right? Never figured out how a human could get it...unless they eat fleas. Though that seems a bit time consuming and not practical with the way they like bounce around." Yeah he was rambling and he was pretty sure his fever had spiked. Maybe he was delirious.

OH HUNGER.

Sophia happily skipped into the Great Hall after her lesson. Except, her skip was kind of lame because she had too many books and stuff in her bag. So instead of looking like a fool, she walked over to her table like NORMAL people did.

Humming slightly, she shoved her bag under the table and happily placed herself on the bench, determining what to eat first. As she looked down the table for food, she noticed that there were other people near the food she wanted. YAY PEOPLE. And yay food. But... they looked busy. Since one was being dragged away? Weird.

BUT THERE WERE CUTE BOYS OVER THERE.

And older girls. Hmm. Well, one of each now that two had left. She couldn't help but look a little longer (pretending that she was looking for the food, duh), then continued on with her eating. Nah, nothing down there. It wasn't worth interrupting Mr. Grumpy Pants who had just slammed his head down onto the table, making her goblet jump.

Grumpy people. She scoffed slightly.

Neptune watched Mia and Ivan out of the corner of her eye until they disappeared out of her sight. She was brought back around by the sound of Jim's head on the table.

Sigh. No, really SIGH.

"You know...," Neptune began, lightly, flicking her napkin away from her. "... it would be nice if you didn't think ... if you ... About Jake. You know?"

Sure that made sense. Her eyes darted to the new girl, who was what? Staring? Great. Just great. An audience.

Eyes. Someone was looking. That wasn't good. She wasn't listening to what was going on, more like trying to concentrate on other people around as well as eating. Taking a quick glance, she noticed it was the girl who was looking at her. Great. She didn't want people to not like her! Boooooo.

While shifting through her bag to pull out a book, she moved further away from the pair.

Rude older girl. SCOFF. Page flip... chapter find... now read. READ AND PRETEND LIKE THAT GIRL NEVER LOOKED AT HER. Reading reading reading.

Jim ignored Ivan. It was for the best. He didn't want to have to get all punchy right then after all.

Jim ate his muffin and noted Neptune looking at someone, so of course Jim took the opportunity to use it as an excuse to NOT look at her.

Just some kid reading. And moving away like they were poison. Jim glanced back at Neptune and then back at the little girl, debating whether or not to say hi so that awkward conversation might be avoided.

Her stomach grumble like it hasn't eaten in days.

Entering the great hall she went directly to the Ravenclaw house table. It's not that hard to spot a couple of blue uniforms having fun and talking to each other.

Sitting in one are, she took a plate and fork. HMM. What shall she eat. It's a variety of food and it is looking such a delight.

After getting the food that she like, she stared at the students passing by. Yeah, Jeanne had nothing else to do. Today, like she promised, she will be going to Hogsmeade to buy anew quill. She lost hers a couple of days ago. That was a big mistake. And she will be buying something for her mother.

ANOTHER set of eyes was staring at her. SHE JUST KNEW IT. It was probably that older girl again. Ugh, she was just trying to eat and read. Not listen in on other people's convos. Of course she was nosy, and it looked like something important, but since they were older she didn't want them to smite her for some reason or another. So she just stayed away.

Except for the eye thing. She looked over at the girl, and realized it wasn't her.

It was the boy. SQUEE. He was cute. Except, again, older. She looked back to her book and flipped a page to continue reading.

She was busy.

Alfie entered the Great Hall, immediately finding herself intimidated by the size of it once more. Honestly, how many students did they have?! She shook off the intimidation and quickly found the Ravenclaw table, a place she'd been sitting alone at for the past few days. So...she hadn't made any friends yet...so what? Alfie wasn't exactly dying to become Ms. Popular, but..someone to talk to might've been nice. It was then that she spotted a girl sitting alone, who looked to be around her age, maybe a year younger or so, reading a book. Normally, Alfie would've just ignored this and sat alone but...if she was ever going to meet anyone, she had to put herself out there.

Ambitiously, Alfie took a seat right across from this girl, setting her bookbag down on the bench beside herself before allowing her blue eyes to drift towards the girl across from her. She opened her mouth for a greeting and then realized the eyes that could be felt staring at this side of the table. She looked over only to find two people glancing over at this girl every once in a while. "Do...you know them?" she asked with a weak smile, quickly diverting her gaze from the obviously older students and focusing on the girl before her, who she still hadn't met.

Neptune's lips pursed in the universal Bott-Line-Of-Disapproval. She was actually quite sure he DID know what she was on about. "How is it you know everything about everything until it comes to me?"

There were girls like....LITERALLY flocking to sit near him now that Mia and Ivan had cleared some room. LITERALLY. If she wasn't entirely annoyed with Jim at the moment, it would have been funny. But as it were, it was just... unwelcome.

She tired to pretend they didn't exist and put her attention on Jim completely. She had more to say, but what was the point? Deliberation was going on behind Bott eyes.

Hearing footsteps, her eyes shifted from the book in her hands to around her. She spied a fellow Claw girl heading towards her direction of the table. Meh, maybe she wasn't going to sit there, so she turned back to her but. But ALAS! Sophia looked up when someone sat across from her. YAY. She smiled, closed her book, and set it aside.

"Uh, no," she said, answering the girl's question. "I don't know them. I just happened to come in here and I guess I interrupted something, even though there are other plenty of other people nearby who could've overheard anything." Scoff. If they weren't going to be friendly, she wasn't going to be THAT nice to them.

She took a swig of her pumpkin juice (her FAVORITE) and grabbed a piece of toast with butter and cinnamon and sugar to nibble on. Once she swallowed it, she smiled again.

"I'm Sophia," she said. "And you are?"

Alfie's eyebrows raised just slightly as she listened to Sophia's tale about coming to sit at the Ravenclaw table and accidentally interrupting something, which anyone could've done. She could sense a bit of a scoff-like tone to the girl's statements, and a smile crossed her features, "I see..." she muttered, glancing back at the two people a little ways over on the table. They were giving off a bit of a weird vibe, or...at least the girl was.

Alfie quickly looked back away from them and over to the girl before her, her smile returning softly as she listened to her introduce herself as Sophia. "I'm Alfiana," she replied, rolling her sleeves up to serve herself a piece of toast. "But I much prefer Alfie, if you don't mind." She added a little bit of butter to the bread in her hand before returning her blue eyes to the girl before her, "So... What year are you in?"

Alfiana... that was a unique name. It was definitely something she wouldn't forget. Well, except to call her Alfie. She'd remember that.

"Same with me," she said. "Except I'm the opposite with my name. I hate it when people call me Soph or Sophie. I just say no, Sophia's my name. You can call me that." She laughed slightly. She was very picky with that.

Oh, she knew that year question was coming. It kind of sucked when she was asked that, but she knew she had to answer.

"Well, I'm a third year," she said. "But I should be a fourth year. I just have problems learning. Sometimes it's a pain, because I have to read and re-read everything. And write it down a few times so I can remember it." She paused for a moment before continuing. "I mean I'm getting better at it. I have to read outside of class for fun which actually helps me a lot."

Alfie gave a light laugh as Sophia explained how she didn't like when her name was shortened and people tried to give her nicknames. Sophia. That was it. "I will definitely remember that," she promised with a nod of her head, gently bringing some of her long blonde hair forward with her free hand. Taking a bite of her toast, the girl listened as Sophia explained that she was a third year, but should've been a fourth. At this, her eyebrows rose slightly, confused momentarily until the girl explained, mentioning that it took her a little longer to learn things than most.

"Really?" Alfie responded curiously, her tone not rude or offending, but legitimately curious. "How interesting. So when did you find out that you needed to be back a year?" she asked, once more quite obviously not meaning to offend the girl, there was nothing mean to her tone. She was just interested in what she had to say, her expression kind.

Presley bounced over to the Ravenclaw table and sat next to someone at random. Presley smiled at the girl as she poured herself some water. She wasn't a familiar face to Presley, and Pres had become familiar with a good many faces in her months here. The girl was talking to another girl, who, if Presley recalled correctly, was called Sophia. Not Soph. Presley waited for a break in the conversation, then said, "Good morning! I'm Presley. I haven't seen you around before." Maybe the girl had been sick for the beginning of the year, and hadn't been able to come until now, or maybe she'd been stranded on a deserted island, and they'd only just found her! Presley's imagination jumped to life creating scenarios for the girl. Or maybe she was simply a transfer. Sometimes things are simple, Pres she told herself sternly.

Alfie jumped slightly, her attention taken away from Sophia as a smaller girl took a seat at her side, invading her personal space limitations and immediately greeting her. She gave a soft smile to her, her blonde eyebrows raising as she gave a light laugh, listening to her introduce herself as Presley. It was then that she mentioned that she hadn't seen her around before and Alfie gave a soft nod of her head, catching up with the younger girl's energy. "Yeah, no...you probably haven't seen me around much," she replied, scooting down just slightly on the bench. She didn't want to seem rude but she also wanted a tiny bit of space, that was just the way she was.

"I'm Alfie, I just got here about a week ago or so," the fourth year answered with a small, friendly smile. "I just transferred in, a little late in the school year, I guess..."

"After my first year," she said. "I just really... well, I really sucked to be honest. I didn't study as hard as I needed to. I mean it's completely my fault. I've got no one to blame but myself."

Sophia shrugged. No sense in lying about it. She'd catch up, and since she was doing better in everything she would be able to do it sooner than later.

She looked across the table, the OPPOSITE way from the older students, to see what else there was. Stretching, she reached for some fruit. Pineapple and mandarin oranges, yummy! Her choice of foods one after the other would be seen as weird, but it's food that made her happy. And refueled her after studying.

"Like," she began. "I normally have to study around 4 hours a night. I signed up for Astronomy..." She paused and shuddered. "That's gonna be a difficult class. I can tell already. That professor just knows EVERYTHING possible. I can see it in his eyes."

Sophia looked up at the new girl who literally bounced in. Hey, she walked just like she did sometimes. With the happy hyper type ordeal. She smiled, then picked up a fork and began to eat her pineapple and oranges as this girl talked to Alfie.

Alfie turned her attention back to Sophia as she began to explain when she realized she needed to take a year back, nodding her blonde head understandingly. She could understand being overwhelmed with coursework, and as Sophia took full responsibility, she suddenly had a new found respect for this girl she had just met. It was then that she mentioned having Astronomy for a class, "Hey, I have that too!" Alfie responded, blue eyes widening just slightly with a large smile. She quickly realized how excited she sounded and looked away with a weak smile, "Sorry, I just haven't had any friends in any of my classes yet. Or...really, any friends in general." She cleared her throat slightly, realizing how pathetic that sounded, and returned her gaze to the girl before her. "Anyway, have you met...Presley, was it?" she asked with a small smile, turning back to the younger girl at her side.

Presley nodded in understanding. Alfie. That was a strange name, but it kind of fit the girl. Not that she was strange, the name just seemed to go with her face or something. The girl scooted down on the bench. Um, did Presley smell or something? She had seriously just taken her shower. Maybe she wasn't used to the crown of the Great Hall yet, and needed more space between her and others? "It's very nice to meet you Alfie! How do you like it here at Hogwarts?" Presley wanted the girl to feel welcome here. She hated when people felt unwelcome, and then they avoided public because of it, and then they really were unwelcome. It was a stupid, sick cycle, and Pres was going to do the best she could to keep it from starting.

Alfie seemed to detect in one way or another that her scooting had unsettled the younger girl beside her, and hoped that she understood she didn't mean to offend her. Before she could really apologize for her movement, which was almost subconcious, Presley asked if she liked it at Hogwarts. "Uh... Yeah, it's pretty nice so far," the girl replied with a soft smile, glancing around at the large hall all around her, not yet used to the size of everything at this new school. "I like the castle, definitely, I'm just still trying to get used to everything," she explained lightly, finishing off her toast a moment later as she ran her free hand through her long blonde hair. "So...what year are you in...Presley, was it?"

"Yes, I'm Presley. I'm a first year this year. Well, if you need any help with anything, I know this place like the back of my hand. Nice meeting you, Alfie." Finishing her water, Pres was done with breakfast. She like Alfie, she seemed like a sweet girl, and Pres always had gotten along better with older children. Who knew, perhaps she and Alfie would become friends in time.
