"I know," Presley responded. "Somehow I just can't seem to help it." She knew she was a brat, and a total smartmouth when she had an excuse to be. In primary school she had back-talked teachers so often that she had been suspended on more than one occasion. She had, however, done her best to be respectful at Hogwarts, and hadn't gotten into much trouble. Turin. Cool. Pres wasn't quite sure where that was, but she could look it up easily enough. "East Finchley in Northern London," Presley answered William quietly. Her family was pretty wealthy, but she didn't like to mention it, or people might think she thought she was too good for them. She didn't though. Pres was friends with almost everyone, regardless of their wealth. She quickly changed the subject. "What's your favorite show?" She meant on muggle television, but she assumed William also knew that, so she didn't elaborate.

" I am just teasing you, you are not a brat at all" Wiliam told Presley. So it is London England but up North" William said to Presley." Well, my favoirite show iis hard to answer" William laughed. WEll, I like genres like police showa, family comedies, sports and reality showa" Wiliam explained to Presley. "So what do yo uand yoru parents do?" William asked Presley. " Oh, I forgot one more genre. travel shows" William smiled.

Katelynn skipped into the great hall and quickly found the Ravenclaw table. I mean - after 2 years it's not that hard to find?
When she reached the table, she recognized a blond boy, who wren't blue, but red. William, she thought.
Katelynn grinned, and went up to the first year. "Hi Starr! I haven't seen you in ages - how are you? Are you enjoying your first year?" she asked.

"Yeah," Presley nodded. "I like a lot of crime shows too. I'm not a huge fan of reality shows, but there is this one, you're going to think I'm a total loser, but I love watching this American show, The Biggest Loser. Do you know what that is?" Odds weren't good that he did, but for some strange reason, Presley loved it to death. She liked watching the people make advances toward their goals. Maybe she was crazy, but every Wednessday when she was home she would get on the internet and watch the show from the night before. "My dad and I go on fun vacations sometimes," Presley answered. It was a completely truthful answer. They never ever spent time together even on these vacations, but they did go together. She didn't like to talk about her family much. "You watch travel shows? Do you travel much?" Presley directed the conversation back to William.

Gwen walked along the house table until she found a free spot. She sat down and looked around. There were some familiar faces at the table, but the girl didn’t want to interrupt any discussions. Anyway, the girl actually wanted to stay alone. She only wanted to spend little time here, and afterwards go study.

" No you have not seen me in ages" William said to Katelynn. " He hugged her. "So what has been uop with you?" William asked Katelynn." I have not seen you in awhile, but yo uare still the cutest second year in HogWarts" William expalined to Katelynn.

" Yes, I really do not watch Biggest Loser but my sisters, Amelia, Joey, Joanne and my mother Katalin watch that show" Wiliam explained to Presley. " They love it" William told Presley." Vacations sound like a lot of fun" William said to Presley. " Well, we go to London, Rome and Barceleina " William explained to Presley." Travel shows help us where we want to go next and I really want to visit America" Wiliam smiled.

Katelynn was a bit surprised when Starr hugged her, but grinned and hugged back. "It's really good to see you! I've been good, yeah. And you? Any new girlfriends?" she said and winked, but then giggled.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw. Katelynn swore, her heart just melted. William was the cutest boy ever. "Wow, Starr, you're so sweet! You are without a doubt the sweetest boy in this castle!" she said with a smile.

Nika chuckled. She liked messing with Samira, it was fun. Nika let out a gasp of mock-horror. "What has the world come to!?" Samira? Turning into Pink? NIGHTMARES!! "All you need is some pink hair! I can dye it for you if you'd like! I'll go search how to do it on google! I'm sure I'll do a great job! If you're going to be me you might as well do it right." She said with a laugh. Let's see what Samira will say to that.

"Bubbles? Wow. This guy has really changed you." Now this is too weird. Samira did not seem like herself. She must really like this Levi. "What are you going to do about it?" They are only twelve. Was she going to date him already?

"Tin man?" Oh yeah. She did call her a tin man. "It's a muggle thing, you wouldn't get it." Hehe. Muggle thing. It was like her own inside joke.... with herself?

Samira was nodding in agreement alongside Nika, before letting out a gasp of terror. She threw her arms up to her head in an attempt to cover all her precious hair. "No waaay! You're not touching my hair. I like my hair just the way it is, thank you. Nice and dark, and not pink." She gave a mock-scowl. "Besides, I would rather have streaks, not go all the way." A pause, and then, "What in the name of Merlin's greying underpants is a Gurgle?" She'll gurgle it? What did that mean?

Samira grinned and twiddled her thumbs under the table. "Yeah..." what was she going to do about it? "I'm going to act like normal," she declared. "I don't want our friendship to be ruined by scaring him away. I don't even know if he's with somebody else." Last time Samira checked, Levi was dating a fellow Slytherin named Cass. "I bought him a Christmas present though. Sorry. I didn't get you anything. I guess it slipped my mind." Samira was joking about not getting Pink a gift, of course, but she kept her face straight and impassive, wanting to see how Pink would react.

Samira scowled. A Muggle thing. As if Samira wouldn't be able to understand. She raised a challenging eyebrow. "Try me. I bet I'd get it."

Nika roared with laughter. Seeing HeelyHeels freak out over her hair brought some more color to Samira's face. Who would think she was crying earlier?! Wait. Gurgle? What? Gurgle? Isn't gurgle when you put water in your mouth and swish it around when your brushing your teeth? What was Samira going on about? "I'm pretty sure I never said anything about gurgling...?" Wait what did she say. Hair, dying Samira's hair, learning on google-- OH! Maybe Samira was talking about google. Cue the laughter. Between stifled chuckles Nika managed to say a sentence. Although choppy hopefully Samira would understand. "Not... Gurgle... It's... google..." The laughter wouldn't stop, "It's.... a.... muggle..... website..." She took a sip of water to try and calm herself down, but she almost ended up spitting it all out.

Taking a few deep breathes she was able to cease the laughter long enough to be a bit serious. "That's good. Normal is good." Nika would probably know the least bit about normal, but it's good to pretend. No Christmas present?! "Oh. That's alright." Should Nika just give Samira's present to someone else?! BUT how could Samira forget her!!

No, no she wouldn't get it. "Well it's from this story called The Wizard Of Oz." Hey! There is a wizard in that movie! They're just every where aren't they? "So there is this girl named Dorothy, a lion who doesn't have courage, a scarecrow that doesn't have a brain, a tin man that doesn't have a heart, and my favorite; A dog named Toto!" She bounced up and down with an enthusiastic smile as she took a deep breath and continued talking fast. "They go to the wizard to get the stuff they don't have and Dorothy *** him to take her home, but really it was all a dream and all she had to do was tap her feet together and say 'there's no place like home'." She looked at Samira with a didya-get-that face. Maybe she said it all too fast.

Samira had no choice but to laugh along with Nika. She couldn't help it. Pink's laughter was contagious. Internally, Samira was quite pleased that she managed to cheer her friend up. Pink looked good as new, just like her old self, and Samira felt the familiar feeling of smugness. She managed to stifle her loud giggle under her palm before calming down enough to regain her cool. "I don't see what's so funny. I mean, you thought a Floo system was a type of illness," Samira giggled. "But...uh...you lost me again. What's a website?" Did it have anything to do with spiders? Samira shivered. Who would want to be involved with that?

Samira could see that Nika was upset that Samira told her she didn't have a present for her. She couldn't help but feel slightly indignant. Of course I bought you a present, Nika! Heck, I even bought the teachers presents, and I don't even like them.... Samira was about to tell her this, but then again, she wanted to see the surprised look on Nika's face when she did hand over the present. Samira just hoped Nika would forget about it until December 30....

Samira listened to the story with rapt attention. She was determined to prove that she could handle anything Muggle. "Right. So there's a chick, a coward, an idiot, a heartless tin, and a mutt. Got it." She frowned at the ending. "Well that was a bit anti-climatic, don't you think? I mean, if I had it my way, they would stay stuck in that place, and have to make their living there. Not wake up from a dream." Honestly. Boooring. But Samira couldn't really hide her interest in the story. Tell me more tell me more tell me more.

Nika still thought it was funny. Hehe. "Well that's different! Floo and Flu sound the exact same! But gurgle? That sounds nothing like google at all!" Yes, there was a method to her madness. She beamed at Heels as she brought up a very good point. Well for Nika it was considered a very good point. For anyone else eh, maybe it could be average. "A website is something you find on the internet!" Right about here she was expecting the question, What the heck is an internet? So she tried her best to prevent that. "Internet is not something you catch butterflies in. It's actually something you use when you are on the computer." Do wizards have computers? "You know what. How about you come over to my house over the summer and I can introduce you to all things muggle?" That would solve some problems.

"Well when you say it like that the characters all sound horrible!" Nika said with a slight scowl. "And well that wasn't the whole story! It was better than you made it sound. There is a witch too. The witch is actually nice, but everyone thinks she's mean.. Well you'd have to see the sequel to understand that." She said with a smile. "The sequel isn't made into a movie though. It's only a musical." Nika beamed at her extensive knowledge of all things muggle. It sorta made up for her lack of wizard knowledge. "How about when you come over I'll show you the movie too?"

Samira was so confused. Google? Website? Internet? Computer? Samira nodded in a slightly dazed way. This was too much to take in. Muggle studies made muggles sound so simple. Who knew they had so much...stuff. "You'll definitely have to show me sometime. I need to see it for myself." Samira awkwardly shifted in her seat. There was a question she'd been nagging to ask for a while. "Will you tell me more. About what...Muggles...use." Wow. The closest she came to asking that was when she was talking to Levi about comic books, which greatly interested her. Some of the stuff sounded...interesting. Her parents may keep her in the dark, but she was at Hogwarts now, and they couldn't control her. This was her way of rebellion, somewhat.

Samira held up her hands in defense."Sorry, sorry. Just calling it as I see it." she shrugged. What she said was just a more blunt version of what Nika said. She nodded eagerly. "Yeah, I'd like that." Samira smiled. "Thanks. But...um, explain how movies work, please." Samira had the general idea, but not enough to be understandable.

Wow. So wizards had no idea about muggle stuff... at all!? Nika was sure they'd have some sort of idea. Maybe that's why all of the kids judge muggles so easily. It's because in reality they don't know the first thing about them. "Sounds like you know as much about muggles as I know about wizards." And Nika thought she was clueless. So much for talking about Samira's crush. "Erm, sure I'll tell you about Muggles and what they.... use?" What did Samira mean exactly? "Well we use telephones! We use them for talking to each other from far away! And instead of having owls we just send mail through the post and a mail man takes them and puts them in mailboxes for us." Hopefully Nika wouldn't have to explain what a mailbox is too. "But what sort of stuff do you want to know? There are just so many things I could teach you!" She said beaming. Muggles are actually a lot more advanced than you'd think.

Nika chuckled. She found Samira's version of the story amusing but it did make it sound rather horrible. "Movies... Well they are erm..." How could something so simple be so hard to explain? Samira had no clue about anything muggle which made it so hard to teach her because then she'd have to explain even more. "It's a erm... moving picture... that erm... has sound and has a story... on a screen... like a TV or a movie screen." Great. Now Samira was going to ask about a TV. Why must muggle be so complicated!?

Samira gave a single nod. "Yup." She said the 'p' with a pop sound. Wait..uhnnn...too much! Samira couldn't grasp this. She held up her hands and shook them in a 'stop' motion. "Wait wait wait hang on." This was worse than the dude from Ancient Runes--whatever his name was. "One at a time, please. Okay, explain this...telephone contraption to me, please. Slowly. And clearly." Nika tended to get overexcited and talk fast. Not that Samira minded. She could keep up, but this was too much for her all at once.

Nika wanted to keep going. Once she got started it was just too hard to stop. Speaking about stopping, there goes the sign. "Sorry." Nika blushed and gave Samira a sheepish grin. Taking a deep breath she started over. "Telephones are used to talk to people from far away." She looked over at Samira to make sure she was listening. "They're, used for comm-uni-ca-tion." Now if that wasn't slow enough for the Slytherin what would be!? "There are mini versions of telephones that you can take with you anywhere you want. They are called cellphones." Now to check to make sure the girl wasn't going insane with this information. "You getting this?"

Samira couldn't help but get the feeling that Nika was mocking her when she said "comm-uni-ca-tion". Hmph. Fine. Let's see how well she fares when Samira starts teaching her about the Wizarding World. "I think I get it..." started Samira, but then her brows crinkled in confusion. "But, wait. How does the other person hear you when you're so far away?" Maybe you had to yell really loud?

"But that's the genius part!" Yes, muggles are smarter than you'd think. And those kids in muggle studies mock them. "The sound waves travel through these wires and reach the other side!" Well at least that's how she thought it happened. Either way it was still the right idea. Nika felt like a true teacher now. It was like learning how to walk on heels all over again. Except this time it wasn't Nika who was falling. Ms. Snake, it's your turn now.

"Oh. Ok. That makes sense." Somewhat. "You said something about movies? Can you tell me about that?" Geez, if Samira had known just talking to Nika, or any muggleborn, was this informational, she would have skivved off Muggle Studies all together. This was way more informational.

These simple things were so hard to explain! If she tried to tell Samira about one thing she'd end up saying another thing and it would just get way to complicated for the poor pureblood. Maybe halfbloods did have it better. They got muggle and wizard knowledge. "Well... Erm... Movies are like I said. Moving pictures with sound that tell a story." She's not even going to mention the TV or movie screen this time. Samira can just deal with that much. "Why do you want to know so much about muggle stuff?" Were they really that interesting?!

"Ohh I get it." Right, that made more sense. Samira learned it was better to not over think things.

"I don't," Samira automatically snapped defensively. "I mean, I do. It's just...interesting. And weird. I've never heard anything like it before." She didn't really feel like mentioning her family. She tried to change the subject in a casual, nonchalant way. "Okay, it's your turn to ask me anything related to Wizards." Samira grinned. Her turn!

Nika laughed and thought about a question to ask. Hmm.... "Well erm.." She couldn't really think of anything until someone brought some thing up. WAIT! What about the ministry of magic?! What was that all about? "Tell me some more about the ministry. What do they do? What's their purpose?"

Hm. Well, that was a rather open question, but Samira thought she could break it down pretty well. "Well, the Ministry of Magic is basically what keeps the Wizarding world in order. They help run everything and make sure that Muggles don't find out about our existence. As I'm sure you know, we have a Minister," an old fool of a minister who assigns ungodly tasks..."There are also different levels in the Ministry. For example, there's a level for Muggle Artifacts, for Wizarding sports, there's an international section, and so on." She nodded to make sure Nika was following. "Does that answer your question?"

" Glad you are back" William told Katelynn. " I knew you would be doing god" William said to Katelynn." Yes, I do haave a girlfriend named Rose" William smiled." I should have waited for you" Willaim whispered in Katelynn's ear." Thanks, for saying I am sweet and the sweetestest boy in HogWarts" "William smiled. " I want you to have the best boyfreind in HogWart, you deseve it" William expalined to Katelynn. "Wait, I am the best, you will just have to settle for second best" William laughed.

"You said your cousin lives in America. You should just go visit him this summer." This seemed like the most logical choice to Presley. If she really wanted to go somewhere, she did. It wasn't really that difficult, was it? "Where's your favorite place that you've ever been?" Presley hoped she wasn't asking too many questions. She felt like she'd asked two million in the past couple of minutes, but Will was just so interesting!
