| | Professor Josephina Hadley's Suite
This particular room has served as an office to a number of different professors over the years. Some of which include revered professors such as Septima Vector, Bree Geltz, Kali O'hara, Lesley Modulo Fox, Matthias Pythagoras Wenlock, Onyx Xavier Frost, and of course, Macadrian Ashling Shackleton-Clark. With each new Professor that has made this office homey, Josephina is sure they each brought their own particular flair to its decorations to accommodate their tastes. Just as Josephina did when she first entered upon this room just three years ago.
The walls have been painted a light blue-gray color and there are a handful of paintings hung around the room, giving off a rather comfortable feeling. One of the paintings is a rendition repainted by Josephina, herself, of a canal near her hometown in Perugia, Italy. There is a framed miniature Italian flag, as well as a third painting of of the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.
As with typical office decorum, there is a large, polished wooden desk, that once belonged to each of her predecessors. It is piled rather high with various papers and worksheets, which is quite startling for a new professor and start-of-term. There are also two framed photographs sitting on her desk; one was of Josephina posed with her two sisters and the other was of her parents, Nicole and Marcus, sitting on their couch. Behind the large wooden desk sits a black executive style chair. Directly on the other side of the desk - where visitors may sit - are two smaller black chairs, but still just as comfortable.
There's a bookcase on the left side, which contains various titles that Josephina collected over the years. Some these include, but are not limited to, The Complete Book of Numerology, New Theory of Numerology, Numerology and Gramatica, A Look Into The Future, and Olde and Forgotten Bewitchments and Charmes. There are also muggle classic books by Charles Dickens and Jane Austen, for which are a few of Fina's guilty pleasures.
Though the door is nearly always open, proper etiquette dictates knocking and addressing your identity before entering. Especially as Professor Hadley likely has her back to the door where she is playing with her puppy named Baisley or her kitten received from recent graduate, Lorelai Bristol, in which she conveniently named Bristol. Just entering without permission is rude and punishable with either point deduction and/or detention for being disrespectful. OOC: No, there is no waiting area, but please do not clog up this thread with useless chatter of 'waiting to enter'. Have your character knock and then wait for Professor Hadley to respond to either enter or to come back later.
There are plenty of places around the school that allow for chat with your friends; Professor Hadley's office is NOT the place for it and doing as such will be cause for appropriate discipline actions.
Any questions or concerns or appointment requests, please PM me. The door is Closed! |

| asterisks separating visits, fyi. Yes? Yes <3 YesJess! | Captain Goggles | Mama Badger | Eva's Soul Sister | An OG™ | It's all in the Numbers Well now, as fast as her office had filled up, it just as quickly seemed to simmering out. Looking around briefly at the few students left, she knew she didn't have too much time before she had requested first Legend and then Evelyn back. Quote:

Oakey waved to her with his scarred hand and left the office. Aw! She was glad that she could be of assistance to the boy and hoped she hadn't been wrong, but it was after all what the number four said. It was about hardwork and stability. "Not a problem," she smiled, watching the first year make his exit. Stability didn't mean clumsiness so she couldn't even equate it to the fact that the boy was maybe accident-prone because even that was unlikely. Quote:

AWESOME!
And if she'd had said something that would of ACTUAL help, then he'd be grinning by now. Except, no, she DID say many things that would help him. One of them was, Hufflepuffs never knew what they wanted to do after Hogwarts, correct? Unless Quidditch was on their mind.
So, the research part, he got it, that will require for him to know what he wanted to research about, and he'd known that, but still. Nod. And the wand-making? "Well, I've been reading about wands and trees the summer before my first year at Hogwarts...I'm no expert at it, of course, but I know quite a bit about them," quite a LOT, actually, but he was being modest this time around, and he had to be, because he wasn't as gifted in numbers. In fact, Treyen had managed to forget that wands required certain knowledge in the numbers area. Thanks, Hadley.
Mmmhmm. Hadley also had had relatives in Ravenclaw? That was a neat fact. "So, it's not too bad that I have no clue yet," about what he wanted to do, "Right?" he was mostly looking for someone to say 'Yes, child, it's alright', probably. No one knows.
Treyen leaned back into his chair, the Prefect attitude put aside, "I...," his eyes went from the badge to his hands to Hadley, "See, Professor, I really have no idea, and all my relatives have changed career paths throughout their lives," except uncle Lex, he was always devoted to dragons, yet, he's been the only one to grace Durmstrang with his presence, "I don't think it's a bad thing at all," they just knew so much about many things, "It just isn't for me," he knew he got distracted very easily, and Hadley probably knows that from classes, so, it was important for him to retain focus, career-wise, at least.
And, yes, he was opening up to the Arithmancy Professor, the one he never thought he'll be discussing this with. "Maybe I'm too young," his eyes eyed the badge for a second, he wasn't just talking about his future now, wasn't he? "Or maybe I'm taking it all too seriously, right?" eyes on Josephina Hadley. All the while as she spoke, Josephina remained cognitive to the fact that the fifth year was listening. A change that she heavily took notice of in his behavior.
Nodding as he explained his interest in wands and trees, including seemingly five year interest it, she couldn't help but notice how his eyes appeared to light at the subject. "I wouldn't say that you had no clue," Hadley countered. "But you're correct, it's alright not having a clue what you want to do with the rest of your life." After all, most of your life theoretically happened AFTER Hogwarts, provided you didn't experience a young death. That was a long time to be doing something in the work field.
Listening to Treyen, she wondered why he was telling her all this. Not that she minded, but how did someone who was so adamantly anti-arithmancy one year ago move on to confiding in her about all this career stuff? Surely the boy had another Professor he trusted their subject more? Maybe true... but then maybe... it was simply that most of his other trusted professors had left?!?
Wait, what was he concerned about? Changing career paths throughout his life? "I think ... that..." She paused, studying him some. "You shouldn't worry too much about if you're going to change careers later in life. If it happens, then it happens. Nothing wrong with taking your career seriously though... BUT I do think you should focus on the presence and maybe the short-term future." You know, like his job NOW. ************************************ Quote:

The seventh year brushed the blond strains away from his face and knocked on the door a couple of times. And there, like an hour or so later, was another knock. This one, if memory served her correctly, was the seventh year Lion. Tucking a loose strand of brown waves behind her ear, her eyes gave a fast sweep of the room before looking back at the door. "You may come in," she said, keeping her voice calm. Steady. ************************************ Quote:

Really, she was a bit worried she would just not feel up to doing this in two hours, but here she was, as excited as ever to go ahead and start/finish her plan. Ohh this was such a good day so far. Raising her hand, she knocked on the door a few times...making a little tune out of it as she did so; her foot tapping along with it. Finishing up one meeting and moving onto the next, Josephina wondered why she had agreed to doing two back-to-back meetings for a moment. Probably because the students had wanted to speak with her today and she knew that much. "You may come in now," Fina said as she heard the knock on the door in a tune. And was that foot tapping too or was it her imagination? Hmm . . .

Smoothing down her shirt, Evelyn opened the door and moved inside, slowly shutting it behind her. "Hello Professor Hadley."
As usual, she took a glance around the office, noting the smallish chairs there, which, then led her to remember the dog. Oh. Oh goodness, the dog wasn't still here was it? Was that thing even considered a dog? Mutated...or something...to be that big.

The small mastiff peeked around the desk and looked up at the slytherin with large brown eyes, as if watching her carefully. But only for a minute or two because then it went back to its pet bed and laid down. "So what can I do for you today?" Fina asked, popping a mint into mouth nonchalantly.

There was the dog. Still looked as mutated as ever, although she was fine with it, just as long as it stayed away from her. Turning her attention back to the Professor, she smiled somewhat, leaning against one of the chairs in the room for visitors. "So, erm..."
How...to say this. Perhaps she had been so busy coming up with ideas, she forgot to think of how to actually say it. "I've been having these dreams." Fiddling with her thumbs on the chair and crossing one foot over the other, the Slytherin girl let out a quiet, nervous laugh before continuing. "And I don't really want to talk to Professor Bishop about them because, well who wants to walk all the way to the seventh floor? And I'm pretty sure Lafay would put me in detention for wasting her time with them so...I thought perhaps...maybe you can help me figure out why I'm having them."
Queue the big eyes and innocent expression. So far so good.

Queue the big eyes and innocent expression. So far so good. Listening with increased interest as Evelyn seemed to be searching for the correct wording or something, her eyebrows narrowed slightly as the girl's hands fidgeted. Dreams ... okay ... So basically the sixth year was discussing it with her because she figured that she wouldn't do anything horrid to the girl? "Perhaps I can..." Hadley settled on, as a strange thought occurred to her. "They're ... not related to your friendship with Destiny, are they?" She asked suddenly, hoping the girl wouldn't find offense to that question. Or perhaps lack thereof friendship.
But yes, enlighten us.

XD Fortress of Brilliance ღ Mommy Quad Wandering down the rather empty corridor, Katie readjusted the strap of her bag on her shoulder, slowing as she approached the Arithmancy professor's office door. The start of another term, her last term to be exact. It was probably a good idea to pay one of her favorite Professors a visit, right? Right. So that's what she planned on doing, as well as silently hoping that her office wasn't bursting with bright and shiny, new excited faces. Raising her hand, Katie knocked once or twice.

Hadley was right. He had a couple choices already figured out, it was the decision making that he lacked. Then again, he had to agree with Hadley, he still had time and it was fine if he didn't know.
Actually, he had all the time in the world. Treyen didn't need to know what he was doing until his seventh year came around, and he certainly didn't want to leave Hogwarts without a basic idea of what his future was going to be like. Isn't it odd that the Professors he chose to ask this around were the ones that could deal with 'the future'. Nolan, Bishop and Hadley. Though, clearly, Nolan was just a pleasant coincidence over the summer.
He nodded all the way, and was glad he was having Hadley to himself.
Wisdom, again.
And he was going to complain over the first thing she said, until she spoke of the present time. It all seemed ridiculous, truth be told, to be wasting time from the present to discuss the uncertainty of the future, especially since he knew nothing of the future, but he knew of his PRESENT responsibilities. Instead of wondering what his life would be like in five years, he needed to focus on his life now, correct?
He wanted Nolan. Now. Or Saylen, because he was the most spontaneous around her for some strange reason. It was in one of her lessons that he decided to walk off from it. Clearly, that wouldn't be an easy decision to make if he'd been at Hadley's classroom or someone else's, but Saylen had been different.
Or he'd been different before. It was the badge. Totally. Dominic better not be judging.
Either way, five seconds passed before he could speak again. It had seemed longer, really. "It makes sense." And that was all he thought of saying, "I mean, I really never wanted to take Arithmancy in the first place, and we know what the current situation is," meaning, yes, Hadley, he was taking Arithmancy until she would take him out of the classroom, "So, I changed my academics, as any adult would change their direction in life," imagine all that amazing spare time he'll have if Arithmancy wasn't part of his timetable. "It didn't turn out so bad," that was the best compliment Hadley's class was going to get, accept it. "But I didn't take it because I thought it part of my future, I took it because it was part of my present," Hadley probably didn't have a point, but he managed to find one. Either that, or he was still talking so Hadley would correct him, as it usually happened. "Focus on the present, then." He smiled, and seemed to be a very relaxed Prefect right about now.

When Treyen didn't seem to be countering her words with anything, Josephina had to watch his expressions carefully. Had that badge on his chest matured him enough to not argue against her every word? It was strange, the fifth year's silence and the brunette couldn't help herself but pop one of the mints into her mouth. As just something to do in efforts to distract her from the hufflepuff's unusual behavior.
But then, he finally spoke. And he totally AGREED with her, even relating it to Arithmancy. Smiling at his very vague compliment in amusement, she nodded. "Of course it didn't." Because she was the teacher, duh.
Oh? A part of his present? What did that mean? He felt it was time to learn some numbers so he did? "I'm glad you decided to take up the subject. Especially considering your potential interest in wandlore." Not to mention that he wasn't too terrible at that number stuff either.
Speaking of focusing on the present; "Uh. Treyen? Can I ask you something now?" She asked reluctantly, biting her lower lip. But before waiting for a response, she swallowed and then just asked, "Do you think maybe you'd be able to help me get over my fear of flying?" She could have asked Max, sure, but it would feel weird. Not to mention, technically she already had him try to teach her once. Perhaps learning from someone else might be best. ************************************ Quote:

She smiled. Kind of. And so did he. Because he was still amused at the fact that they were getting along perfectly well at the moment. It was probably a good idea not to speak ill of her subject in front of her, right? Or...never.
Because she was right. Numbers, never mind how annoying they were, could help out on many things. Yes, yes, including wandlore, we know.
The boy merely nodded, and said a simple, "Thanks," before straightening his robes, and the badge pinned to them. He was getting ready to leave, but it appeared he won't succeed in doing so, because Hadley had called his name.
He looked up at her, and...eyed her curiously, "Yes?" that was supposed to be an answer, as in 'Yes, you may ask a question', but it ended up sounding like a question. Treyen blinked, at first, and then stared at Hadley for a couple seconds. Was she seriously asking what he thought she was asking him? Flying? Really? He didn't know Hadley was afraid of flying.
The smile that had been on his face, widened, "Of course! I mean, I could try," there were no guaranties, though, but he could be there in the Pitch flying alongside Hadley, and she'll see that there's nothing to be frightened of. Unless Bludgers were around, and even then, one shouldn't fear them. "Just let me know, and we'll head down to the Pitch, if Professor Vindictus approves, of course," he nodded, Vindictus could be fairly weird with his Pitch sometimes.

...Seriously though, was she supposed to be talking about Destiny or the dreams? Popping a mint into her mouth, Josephina kept her hazel eyes focused on the sixth year, as she seemed rather uncomfortable for a moment. Wait, had she not come to talk about Destiny? Oh right, it was about a dream. But well wasn't a uniqueness apart of you? Evelyn wasn't really making much sense, but Fina remained aware of the teenage dramas for girls. Including, of course, their mood swings.
One minute you were friends, the next you weren't. Something that though Fina remained cognitive of, she never truly understood. That was her little sister's department. "Mmhm.." She nodded, "But I mean, tell me more about the dream? What led up to it? What was it about? That is why you're here, isn't it?" Because if the She-snake was here to discuss teenage dramas, then she might as well walk out now. ************************************ Quote:

Nodding at him when he thanked her for the insights, she could only imagine that was what it was for and then the long pause of confusion at her own question.
Biting her lip, she almost wished she hadn't asked. She should have just asked Max directly for extra help; he wouldn't have refused, right? Or maybe one of the Quidditch Captains? But Treyen Lockhart ... he was a Player. He was just there, at the right moment. It was foolish though to ask him, wasn't it? Huh? Another person for career advice? It was as if these kids wanted her to like READ the numbers and say go do this, but unfortunately, it didn't work that way. However, there was one number that would tell you the TYPE of work you'd be good in and it was one that Fina was fairly certain the seventh year already knew. "Well, yes and no. There's no number that will tell you the exact profession to go into, but your life path number includes information on career options that would be best suited to your talents and abilities." Funny how it's one of the most basic core numbers, yet often overlooked the part on careers and vocation options. "What's your life path number, Legend?" Fina inquired thoughtfully, after a minute or two. Surely he should be able to figure it out fairly quickly. ************************************ Quote:

He was Coach to Cassie, and he didn't mind the flying part with Hadley, regardless of how odd everything will feel like on the Pitch.
Still. Was she going to say 'Max'? She was, wasn't she?

Because if the She-snake was here to discuss teenage dramas, then she might as well walk out now. Ohh. "Right..." she muttered. "The dream." What was the dream again?
Taking a moment to think it over, she nodded as the previous walk in the corridor an hour before started to come back to her. Well, now she didn't want to talk about the dream. She wanted to complain about Destiny. "Well, it starts off normally. Or, somewhat at least. It takes place in this park...but everything is made out of salad components. You have lettuce for grass and leaves, the sun is a cucumber, radishes and tomatoes for the flowers, dressing for the small river that flows through there...you know, normal stuff."
This was going to be hard to get through than she previously thought. Not to mention trying to add all the dramatics to it. "And there is this watermelon family that's walking through there, enjoying the day like any other normal family would. They're also picking up some leaves and flowers for their dinner later on too, just so you know. I think they may have had buckets to carry some dressing in, but I'm not so sure. So, everything is perfect for them, when out of nowhere this chocolate family shows up, all high and mighty like; as if they owned the place. I mean, c'mon! It's ridiculous. The watermelon family was there first! The park is big enough for the both of them. Salad could be shared all around. I'm sure if they put their minds together, they can find a way to get that cucumber sun down from the sky." "But as the two families passed by one another on the little bridge that crosses over the dressing river, the chocolate family starts threatening the watermelon family...saying stuff like..." Erm. "'They were better than them' and 'watermelon was for the weak and wasn't as sweet as they were'. Of course, the watermelon family didn't like that and started threatening back, saying stuff like..." Errrmmm. "'They're packed with vitamin C' and 'delicious all year round'. So, obviously the watermelon family was winning." Obviously. "Of course though, the chocolate family didn't like that and they all started fighting. Professor Hadley, if you ever have to choose to be on Chocolate's or Watermelon's side for a fight...take the Chocolate's side." Just saying. "Anyway...at one point, one of the little watermelon members was thrown over the bridge into the dressing river, but that wasn't the worst part. The worst part was the pink watermelon being thrown around like it was fluffy snow, and I probably shouldn't go into the details, but seriously...there was the largest watermelon seed I've ever seen land somewhere in a radish flower bed. I think...I think it was one of the watermelon's hearts. And what with being depressed that they already lost one of their own, the watermelon family was losing fast. But, finally, the biggest watermelon, in it's painful and near death state, grew twice it's size and ate the chocolates in one bite. It...was...HORRIFYING!" "And...and then it shrunk and died because the chocolate was poisonous and evil, and it's pure watermelon heart that was sitting in radish flowers couldn't take it." Shaking her head, she took a deep breath, glancing around the room for a moment to collect her thoughts before looking back to the Professor. "And then a giant acromantula came and ate the watermelons and that's when I usually wake up."
....Right.

There was always a 'yes and no' when it came to Arithmancy. YES this but also NO this. Never a straight answer. It was why Legend found the subject so confusing. That probably was why he waited until last minute to do his Arithmancy homework. "So basically it does tell you? It just doesn't go and say 'You are going to be the Minister of Magic' right?" That was actually closer to yes then. For once. There was a small moment of silence when it seemed like Hadley was thinking. Legend wanted to interrupt her and tell her that she should offer candy to her students when she began to speak again. "It's one." He said with a nod.

Er, anyway, "In that case, send me a note, and I'll meet you wherever you want, Professor," he said, standing up now. Unless..."Will that be all?" amusing, as if this was HIS office, no? It was a good thing that Josephina had waited until the end of their meeting to ask Treyen about helping her overcome her fear of heights. Actually, she hadn't mention the height phobia directly, but she didn't need to considering how awkward the room suddenly became.
Making a mental note to wait at least a week before contacting him to give her time to collect her own thoughts and anxiety, she smiled at him when he made a funny about 'it being all' like it was HIS office. "Sounds fair," the brunette noted in response when he said to send her a note. "And yes, that will be all for me, presuming that is all for you."
Sweet boy, Treyen Lockhart was, she could see why Lily had selected him for prefect. Even if it did take him until fourth year to attempt Arithmancy. ******************************************* Quote:

....Right. It seemed, at first, that Evelyn was reluctant to tell the dream. Perhaps she had forgotten it or had a change in thought about sharing it. BUT then, the sixth year launched into her retelling of it, to which at first, Josephina was sure the girl was making it up. After all, she had a dream about VEGETABLES! Who dreamed about veggies? Evelyn Flores did, apparently.
Nonetheless, Josephina listened as the girl foretold her dream, nodding in the right places but wondering simultaneously why she didn't go to Renee; after all dream interpretation was more divination. Nevermind the fact Arithmancy WAS a form of divination.
When the girl finally finished, Fina waited a moment or two before speaking again. Just to make sure, but also to wonder what this is about? Does she need help interpretating? Or .... ? "So are you wondering perhaps if this dream is a premonition about your own life ...?" Fina suggested casually, feeling like she ought to say something more. But she didn't, seeing as after all, Evelyn hadn't asked any questions yet. ********************************************* Quote:

Legend wanted to interrupt her and tell her that she should offer candy to her students when she began to speak again. "It's one." He said with a nod. Oh good, Legend was finally beginning to understand the mixed language involved in Arithmancy. "Precisely that," Fina nodded, as he took a moment to contemplate this, it seemed. But not too long, because he provided her with his life path number fairly promptly after she asked. "One..." She repeated, thoughtfully, as she realized the irony in this number. Born leader. Courageous. It was no wonder that Legend was a Gryffindor, actually. "SO you're a quick thinker." She said, amused, but knew that this much to be true. He was VERY stubborn as well. Mister Independent. She was going to say something that perhaps Minister of Magic might be in his future, but as his head was already quite swollen.... "But you would do well in the business world, working in the Ministry, or even just as a shopkeeper." Wait, the latter WAS business, wasn't it?

"Sounds fair," the brunette noted in response when he said to send her a note. "And yes, that will be all for me, presuming that is all for you."
Sweet boy, Treyen Lockhart was, she could see why Lily had selected him for prefect. Even if it did take him until fourth year to attempt Arithmancy. How did she manage to change it around? Now Treyen was back in HER office, instead of this being HIS. Smart woman. No wonder she was a Hufflepuff. Arya did the same to him.
Either way, the boy nodded, and gave her one last smile, "It's all." For now. "Thanks again, Professor Hadley," but if he was going to fly with her, then he should call her by her first name, no? Josephina. He might just do that the upcoming lesson.
Arithmancy lesson, that is.
And then he was out.

He did not want to do this!
Riley Sinclair had sworn to himself that he would NOT stoop to this. Ever since that day at the beginning of term when Evelyn and himself had painted that mural on the wall down by the Courtyard, he had not spoken to Professor Hadley except for the small bit during Arithmancy class. It was hardly fair that she made them take it down, it was a mural of him and a rather good one at that. But he had had a small crush on the woman since the beginning of last term and he couldn't go his last year at Hogwarts not speaking to her.
He didn't know what it was about her. Maybe the way she could compute numbers so quickly, or the fact that she was so blunt when she was angry or annoyed. He knew nothing could ever happen she was old a professor and an adult, but he could still dream couldn't he? He knocked on the door and clutched the small wrapped gift in his hands.
The Gryffindor could not believe he was giving in first.

Katie hadn't come at a bad time. Her smile grew a little bit, pleased she could talk to Professor Hadley for atleast a few minutes without worrying about others in the room, until another student came knocking. "Actually, I mostily came to say hello," Katie said, moving from behind the chair to take a seat in it. The short brunette left her hands folded in her lap once sitting, "Did you enjoy summer, Professor?"

Premonition? "How can a battle between chocolate and watermelon over a salad park be a premonition?" she asked, both completely thinking that the Professor was joking and...was slightly curious. "But basically yea, something like that."
This...this could be interesting. Evelyn was a tad curious to see what the Professor could come up with from a fake dream and how it could be related to her life. And if the Slytherin didn't like it? Well than...she'd just have to see what else Hadley could come up with.

She repeated, thoughtfully, as she realized the irony in this number. Born leader. Courageous. It was no wonder that Legend was a Gryffindor, actually. "SO you're a quick thinker." Shopkeeper? Business? Minister?
Eurg. Legend HATED the Ministry.
The seventeen year old looked around the room, debating if he should just thank Hadley for her time and leave or actually...get his questions answered, but he didn't want to set himself up for an answer he wouldn't like. As his eyes turned back to the Professor his mind was made up- somewhere. "Professor-er does that mean if I do something...away from what the Number suggest I'll fail at it?"

Arithmancy lesson, that is.
And then he was out. Ah so it seemed the Hufflepuff Prefect had finished / discussed everything he needed to with her. As he was about to leave though, he thanked her. To which she responded with a rather genuine, warm smile. "No problem," And then hesitation as though he was reconsidering calling her Professor Hadley, but the lingering thoughts didn't last long about his hesitation, as she had other stuff and work on her mind.
But one thing she was certain of was that if he did call her by anything remotely as informal and unprofessional as her first name in her office, lessons, or even the great hall, then she would see to it that he never did so again. ******************************************* Quote:

The Gryffindor could not believe he was giving in first. Reading through another rather creative poem, she smiled vaguely in amusement and almost the missed the knock on the door as she scribbled something on the side of the parchment and moved it off to the side, reaching for the next assignment.
And that was when it hit her. A knock. Glancing up at the door, curiously, she reshuffled the papers into a stack and then called to whoever was on the other side, "You may enter now." ******************************************* Quote:

The short brunette left her hands folded in her lap once sitting, "Did you enjoy summer, Professor?" It hadn't failed to escape Josephina's hearing about how Katie Mae had mostily come to say hello. But then that would mean she wasn't here JUST for idle chat and had other motives in mind? Perhaps another for discussion on careers, since she seemed to be the go-to person for career talk this year. Katie WAS a seventh year, after all.
Nodding at the Hufflepuff as she took a seat, she smiled warmly, as she absently brushed some curly hair behind her ears. "I did actually. Very much. Spent some much needed time in the sun, mostly relaxing. And then of course I got to show your former Professor Saylen around my home country." She paused, reflectively, another smile and gleam crossing her expression. "Next summer, I'm hoping to visit her in Mexico." Her first experience over the side of the Atlantic. "What about you? Enjoyable summer?" ******************************************* Quote:

Well than...she'd just have to see what else Hadley could come up with. Apparently Evelyn didn't think that the dream had anything to do with her life. Or maybe she did subconsciously. Nonetheless, why else would the girl consider telling her the novella of a dream if she thought it was meaningless? Was it recurring? There were so many thoughts that Josephina wanted to ask, but at the same time, she REALLY wanted to message up to Renee and tell her to come down.
Renee would know more about this, wouldn't she?
But no, she would handle this; she COULD handle this. It wasn't her expertise - dream interpretation - but how hard could it be. Besides, Evelyn had gone to HER, which meant she probably didn't want to share the dream with Renee. "Anything can be a premonition, Evelyn," she began simply, as she contemplated this more. "But what if ..." she paused, thinking and then changed direction. "Wait... why did you tell me this dream? Do you think its real? Is it recurring?" Yes, these questions were important. Because well she wouldn't bother trying to find meaning to something that had no meaning. ******************************************* Quote:

Eying Legend as he automatically jumped from quick thinker to genius, she sighed, more out of amusement. Seriously, his head was so swollen, she wondered sometimes how he fit inside doorway. "Quick thinking does not equate to genius," she replied simply, solemnly, as she waited to hear what he had to say about some of the fields he would be good in.
But no, he said something else instead. "No. Not necessarily. Because the number doesn't suggest failing at all, but more simply it suggests what your career path might look like. The themes you might encounter in your life. It doesn't say if you deviate from it that you will fail, but you might not be living up to your potential, however if you do deviate."
