Sunlight trickles merrily through the arched windows, the bronze and blue silk drapes pulled away from the beautiful mountain view. But you're not here to see the view, not today.
Today you are here for the very important meeting with your Headboy and Prefect. Unless you forgot and are only just remembering right now as you happen to look up. There floating around the starred domed ceiling are shimmering words rotating repeatedly right above a center table set up with plenty of cookies on small plates.
"Hey fellow Ravenclaws,
Thanks so much for coming! We have a few loose ends to tie up and will be with you in a jiffy. Please feel free to enjoy the complimentary treats.
Won't be long!
"Oh wonderful! You're all here!" A delighted, quiet voice, which despite its pitch, could be heard all the way around the common room.
For a moment, you cannot determine where the voice is coming from-that is until you notice a slightly hazy spot in the niche opposite the door. Peering at the space beside the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw, you notice a slight mist that within moments begins to take form.
Soon you can discern the features of a very, very pale woman. So pale, in fact, that one could even call her translucent.
Dressed in regal 11th century attire complete with a floor length cloak, Helena Ravenclaw glides forward, her normally proud features alight in excitement as she brings up her arms, signalling for them all to rise.
"Ravenclaws, listen well, for today is a day of mystery and entertainment." Clasping her ghostly hands together, the Grey Lady addressed them all. "There is an adventure planned for you today, a hunt." Her form rose a few feet to hover above them all. "A scavenger hunt to a great destination." Grey eyes fell on the students one by one. "And the first clue is..."
Clearing her throat, her voice grew louder and resonant as only a spirit's could.
"The place that does contain our dearest companions. So long as men can breathe and eyes can see, this place will always hold the gateway to the world of imagination. A Ravenclaw's home."
And with that said the Grey Lady disappeared, her words echoing in the common room.
Sitting there for a few minutes and specially after her late rise, Louisa's head tilted forward as she dozed off only to be awaken by a distant calm voice. She opened her eyes slowly and scanned the room, realizing where she was and why... the Grey Lady was talking more clearly now. She listened carefully.
"It could be the library." She said uncertainly, mostly to herself. It'd be just too plain if it was true. Looking around she asked, "Should we go there in a group?" There would be some people who didn't like group activities but still.
Finally realizing that everyone was taking this serious, Gwen decided to start thinking of a better answer (that should sound normal, or just more logical than those idiotical things she said before).
‘The… library?’, she said again. If this isn’t it, I really don’t know what could be the right answer. Now I hope no one heard me talk before, the ravvie thought. When did I get so stupid?
"Yes..." Eino blinked "That's you!" He said pointing at her chest. Maybe she was confused because both of their names started with an E and were both pretty short for names. Although, she seemed to have gotten it right at the end, since she called him by his name. Maybe she should see the nurse about whatever it was she was suffering from. Ah, the price she had to pay for being the legendary seeker. Ellie Stone was a hero. "It's nice to meet you, too." Well, it was nice that now she knew who he was? "That was a good match last weekend....?" Even though Ravenclaw lost, but he didn't know what else to say.
Blink.
"Yeah. That is me..." Was Eino confusing her on PURPOSE? Because that was soooo not nice. Ellie was eyeing him.
The match was good? "Glad you thought so." Ellie definitely disagreed. If the match had been good, they would have won, wouldn't they?
But then again, Eino didn't play.

He scratched his chin when the ghost disappeared. Our dearest companion... The Slytherin Common Room? A Ravenclaw's home... Imagination... "The library?" Hugo suggested. That was probably right. Oh, this was awesome!
"I'm not going to the library." Very serious and scared her voice was. And her face matched.
Who said the library was a Ravenclaw's home anyway? It was a home for those gross, scary, monstrous books. Shudder.
Though, if the only alternative was staying here alone..."I'll wait outside it." And someone could wait with her, yes? Her eyes scanned the room for a volunteer.

Hugo frowned at Ellie. "What's wrong with the library?" he asked, not quite in a judging tone but more in an interested tone. How could someone possibly not like the library? "I do wonder what could be found there. I hope we don't have to resort looking through the books for a clue because that would take us ages!" he said to the people in the room.

Ryden had been staring at a random patch of air as she waited for the Prefects to appear when she JUMPED as a voice suddenly appeared. Now, usually voices do not scare Ryden Di Marco - now wouldn't THAT be pathetic? - but this one... was coming from everywhere.
Blinking, the brunette sat up straighter and looked around, her eyes finally settling on a ghost. A GHOST. Why was there a- Oh, wait. Four house ghosts of Hogwarts... The Grey Lady. Right. Tilting her head upwards, Ryden listened quietly until the ghost was quite finished, at which time the fourteen year old was quite puzzled.
Scavenger hunt? Imagination? Was this some sort of game Hogwarts had set up? A slow smile began forming on her lips - she LOVED games. Not the easy type, but the ones with clues and riddles and things. And the answer for this one, she was quite certain, was the library. And grew even more certain of herself as the rest of them began saying it as well. Leaning forward, Ryden debated whether to leave now and start looking or stay and wait for more.
Was there going to be more? And WHERE were the Prefects? Didn't they say that there was going to be a prefect's meeting? Or was the Grey Lady it? Hmm.

Roderigo returned a smile to Alfie after shaking hands with her. She was about to reply to his question when another girl came up to them. According to Alfie, her name was Presley. The Spaniard chuckled as fell for Presley asked the same question he had just asked. He looked at Sophia and frowned.
"Are you feeling alright, then?" he asked, his voice thick with concern. Roderigo would not have thought her to be a happy and hyper person, for she seemed pretty drained at the moment.
He turned to Presley and also waved to her.
"Hello, Presley, right?" he said, smiling. "I'm Roderigo." He took a few steps back and wondered if the meeting will ever progress. He crossed his arms around his chest, pondering what the meeting could be about.
Roderigo was about ready to go back to his dormitory when a misty voice spoke from somewhere in the middle of the common room. He spun around as the common room fell with a hush of silence; the Grey Lady had just appeared. Roderigo stared at her eerie beauty as she spoke of a scavenger hunt for them all to partake in. His eyebrows rose with surprise; he had not expected the meeting to be about that.
The Grey Lady's clue had just sunk in for the Spaniard when she disappeared. He pondered for a bit, wondering what the clue could mean. He suddenly gasped, thinking he might have gotten the clue, and turned to Presley, Sophia, and Alfie.
"A gateway to imagination that is a Ravenclaw's home!" he whispered excitedly. "It must be the library!"
Presley waved back at the boy. Roderigo. "Nice to meet you." She paused as the Grey Lady spoke, and then nodded, agreeing with the general consensus. "It must bea book, and that means library."
She turned to Hugo. "Supposedly, there are, like, THOUSANDS of books in there." Supposedly, because Ellie'd never actually been inside. The thought alone was scary enough for her.
...If it was going to take ages, she'd be stocking up on those clam cookies.

Eino waved at the ghost as she appeared, then listened closely to her message. They had to do a what? He blinked. He looked around at the room it was divided between people who were excited and people who were, well, not. Eino wasn't particularly excited, he was just about to die from excitement. He loved using his imagination to go on quests. In fact, he had done whit several times with Hugo and Kurumi last year, but this years demands had prevented them from doing so. The Grey Lady's clue, and the rest of his fellow housemates had suggested, could only lead to the library. After all, that is where Helena Ravenclaw spent most of her days.
SPOILER!!: Hugo and Melly

As all the sugar from the cookies kicked in, Eino jumped from his seat and spoke very loudly with a deep voice. "I, Eino Uronen, accept this quest!" He announced with his hand over his heart. Then he looked over at Hugo and Ellie and walked towards them. "Lady of the Quidditch Pitch," He said gesturing to Ellie, still speaking very loudly and with a deep voice, "Sheriff of the Courtyard," he said now looking at Hugo. "The time has come! We must embark into the unknown, prove our intelligence, and defeat the great.... lord... of... the, uh... UNKNOWN!" He extended his hand in front of the both them and continued. "United, we shall overcome it! Sir Toby," he looked to his right, there was no one there, "I am glad you are here! Just in time for another quest!" He nodded at Sir Toby. Nothing could defeat the four of them, all they had to do was place their hand on top of Eino's so they could swear allegiance to one another, then depart.
Louisa watched the students around her trying to decide... and one of them, the one from the greenhouse, jumped on the couch and... did a dramatic scene. Was it from a musical? 0_o
Anywaaaay, she stayed rooted to her spot, her dropped jaw back to its original position, and spoke, "Let's go to the library then and find out. We can filter our books search when the next clue comes in," She addressed the boy and the girl discussing the matter of thousands of books.
Looking again at the bizarre boy, talking to an invisible one now!! :O "WHAT! There is another ghost in the room?" She gasped and took a step away from him- an unseen ghosts were the worst. She was NOT going with that boy to anywhere by herself. Never. Ever. Just so you know..
Forcefully taking her eyes away from him, she looked at everyone else in the room, "So? Shall we go?" Duuh, the scavenger hunt wasn't going to be solved sitting around... with bizarre people acting out some plays!

Gwen looked around and noticed everyone was sure about the library being the place they are all searching for. All right, the library it is, then…
While she kept thinking if this was the right place, she noticed a girl talking really, really bossy. Tee hee. Well, maybe she knows what she’s doing, the ravvie decided and went towards her.
‘Well… shall we go to the library then?’, she asked. ‘But…there is one thing…the library is huge. Isn’t it a bit much?’
Then, after a short break, she added: ‘Maybe we could go to the Stained Glass Windows? Isn’t there a window of Rowena Ravenclaw?’ Hopefully that made sense… If not, meh, she’ll just follow everyone else…

OOOOH A SCAVENGER HUNT!
Sophia SQUEALED with delight as she heard those words come out of the ghost's mouth, and then covered her own to prevent others from staring at her. She was just EXCITED people, COME ON NOW.
As the ghost spoke the riddle, she had to think for a moment.
"The library, duh," she said. "I was just there earlier today. So long as men can breathe and eyes can see, this place will always hold the gateway to the world of imagination. It even makes sense - some of the bookshelves look like they have gates on them at the top."
