Kurumi looked up at Mr. Viking and thought that he HAD to be joking. Class was over already? Hadn't it just started? Kurumi very much wanted to know what the contents of the letter. It must be very important since the man hadn't even given it a second glance before stating that class was over and assigning the homework. It certainly had been a very brief introduction to runes by a man of very few words.

Kurumi began to gather her things when her now blonde hair got caught on the table. She couldn't go walking around like this!

"E-Excuse me, Professor," Kurumi squeaking approaching the man. "C-C-Could you change me back...please?"

Nika raised her eyebrows at the owl. What does the letter say!?! Nika tried to see through the letter as her professor read, but it was no use. Hmph. "Class is over?" Now homework? Ugh. Homework. "Good Dag to you too." But what's good dag? she thought.

She just as the professor left she grabbed her bags and her arm brushed against the beard she had. WAIT!" No, no, no. The professor had promised her that he would "shave" her beard. HE SAID IT! He can't leave without taking it off. "But what about the beard?I don't want a beard forever!!"

Was it over already? Theodore quickly packed away his things. Looking down, he wondered if the viking spell would vanish upon the end of class. Sadly, it hadn't. After mentally noting the homework, the Ravenclaw slung his bag over his shoulder and made a beeline for the boys' lavatory. He needed a shave, and he needed one now. He couldn't possibly deal with this beard for much longer. Well, maybe long enough to show off to Braeden Stonem, but nothing more.

Sierra blinked. Merlin, that man had just bounded from the classroom the second the lesson had ended, hadn't he? Hmm...maybe he had to go to the bathroom or something. She shrugged and then gathered her books, shoved them into her bag, and stood to her feet. Transcribing her name in Runes didn't seem too bad, but then again, she did have a really long last name. Bahhh.

...and because she didn't know the spell to change her clothes back into regular school uniform, she headed out the door, Viking costume and all. Maybe she wouldn't be seen by too many people as she dashed to the common room.

Class was over? That was fast. Isobel scribbled down the assignment, picked up her books and hurried out of there before he could take away her beard. "Oh Nika," she said. "Come on, beards are awesome. It will probably fade or something." She hoped.

"They are pretty awesome!" She replied agreeing with Isobel. "But I would rather not wear it for any longer. This thing is getting itchy!" She said as she petted her beard.

Cass blinked a few times, still surprised that class was already over. What did they learn exactly?

She stood up from her seat slowly and walked out of the room. Weird. It looks like she would have to rely on whatever notes she managed to take last term.

Class over? Homework? Owl? Sarah jerked her head. Oh, the class is actually over. she thought, And how am I supposed to write my whole name in Runes? she worried. She jotted down the home work and closed her books. "Thank you sir, see you later!" she said and walked out of the class.

"I better get started with the homework as soon as I reach the common room." she muttered as she went.

''Hello nice lesson wasn't it'' said Luna with a smile ''Intresting subject isn't it'' said Luna

Wow, the lesson was over? Rachel liked this subject thought! But maybe not so much the homework! "Good day professor, thanks!" said Rachel smiling, she packed upp all of her stuff and left the room.

Ancient Runes ~ symbols, on wood or stone, or anything related to nature that came from Germanic and Norse descent.

Odin ~ Norse Mythological god who found runes by hanging himself up on the world tree Yggdrasil, piercing himself with a spear, and hanging on that tree for nine days to get the wisdom and knowledge of these runes

Elder Futhark ~ oldest kind of runic alphabet used by Germanic tribes which was named after the initials of its first six letters namely: F, U, Th, A, R, K. It is commonly used for magic and divination purposes aside from writing.

'I guess everything's there.' Zara thought as she rolled it carefully and placed it in her bag.

"Thank you Professor," Tayla replied, putting her parchment, quill, and ink back into her bag.

She left for the common room quickly - to change and get homework done straight away.

Um...okay...what?!

Melina just sat there in her Viking getup, watching her professor rush out the door. She looked around the classroom at her fellow classmates, who seemed as dumbfounded as she was.

Then she heard them start to freak out. She looked down, and realized she too was still clad in the ridiculous Viking costume.

Merlin's polka-dot socks! I look like the lead soprano in a really bad opera! I can't go round looking like this!

Horrifyingly, none of her classmates seemed to have any ideas for changing them back.
