The rubber duck Kurumi had given him a few days ago still didn't have the perfect place amidst the others. And he just didn't know where to put it. He had tried it this way and that but somehow it never turned out to look the way he wanted it to. It was quite frustrating. And he didn't even have a good distrac-

Or maybe he did. Someone was at the door. Someone who was apparently trying to yell their way into the office. Right. Well, it had worked. And judging by the following murmurs from outside there was a conversatoin going on, which meant more people. Setting the rubber duck onto his desk to be thought about later, Jeremy straightened up in his seat slightly and called, "Come in!" at the door. They would hear that right, no need to actually get up.

Without putting down his book, Noah looked up at the voice and grinned. Yup. Definitely the guy. He went over to the door and pushed through it with his whole body before stepping in.

AH HA!

With a biiiiiig grin, Noah looked at the dude.

Oh yes. Delilah soooooo had a bad reputation here already.

And Noah was awesome. "Hey sir!"

He would put the book down somewhere, but the absense of large enough pockets had vanquished him. Darnit.

Maybe it was good that this was a random visit and not some trip to glean information about homework or classes. Because her mind was consumed with her boyfriend, not that it wasn't always. She sauntered into the room leading the younger students, not that she thought of it in that manner, and slouched herself into one of the chairs.

Hmph.

"Hey, Professor Zoo." Yeahhhh, not necessarily as cheerful as she had been when entering his waiting room. Meh. "Hope your day's been happy." He still got a smile despite her inability to quickly regain proper thought. "How are the rubber duckies?" The firstie entering got curious glances from her.

Kurumi tiptoed, a little unnecessarily into Professor Zookara office and a smile crept across her face when she saw the rubber duck she had given him at the feast sitting on his desk. He looked rather comfortable sitting there right smack in the middle.

Taking a seat next to Arya who, unlike when they had been in the waiting room, seemed a bit down. Kurumi frowned for a moment knowing that that was mostly her fault for bringing up a rather sensitive subject, and she began playing with her hair. Note to self, don't bring up the subject all that often.

Her eyes flicked to the little man in the room and that suspiciously large smile on his face.

"Good day, Professor Zookara," she smiled shifting her attention to the real man of the hour and not the first year with a large book in his hands. "Have you given him a name yet?" She gestured towards the duck on his desk.

Conan snuck in behind the ladies. He didn't want to be included in the forceful people. As he wasn't. He would wait til everyone had spoken. "Um hi there Professor." Then he could speak.

Oh good. They had heard and understood. One by one they filed into the office - so many at once! :O - and when Jeremy turned to smile at them all, his smile sort of froze on his face when he saw who was approaching him first.

Flailing!Guy who had been fighting with his cousin in Diagon Alley. Of course, he should have expected him to go to Hogwarts too. Wait, did that mean his cousin was here too?!

"Hello. Good to see you again." Yeah. Sort of. With a small grin he continued, leaning back in his seat slightly, "And without anybody hanging on to your ear too. Talking of whom, is your cousin here too?" Hopefully not. She seemed like a troublemaker.

Though, he wasn't completely sure about this boy here, either.

His eyes wandering around the room for a moment, taking in who else had entered, he fixed his gaze on Arya next...who seemed pretty down to say the least. "Are you okay?" Jeremy immediately inquired, his eyes narrowing slightly in concern. Straightening up in his chair again he motioned for them all to take a seat in the other chairs.

Happy?!

"Well, yes, quite happy I guess. And yours?" Jeremy returned the Hufflepuff's smile when his eyes fell on the Prefect badge pinned to her robes. "Oh, and by the way, well done on that badge." He nodded towards it with an approving grin. The Hufflepuff Prefects had definitely been chosen well this term. Not that the others had been bad but her and Treyen were definitely going to be great. Hopefully.

His eyes flickered to the rubber ducks in their shelf, and his lips curled up into a small grin as he glanced back at Arya. "Oh, they're very well, I think. Thank you." Heh.

Somebody was being unusually quiet coming in. Was something wrong? Just when he turned to give the Gryffindor a concerned look, he caught her smile which he immediately returned. Following her gaze he noticed she was looking at the rubber duck she had given him at the feast which was still sitting on his desk. Maybe he could just leave it there really. Hmm.

"Kurumi." Jeremy returned the greeting with a grin, obviously happy to see her again. He was always happy to see her. Especially when she didn't have her cat with her. Or at least he hoped he hadn't brought it along. "No, not yet, I was just trying to figure out where to best put it." He gestured towards the shelf vaguely and shrugged.

Maybe he would just have it sit on top of his desk after all.

And there was another one who had quietly entered his office. Glancing around Kurumi at the Hufflepuff he immediately recognized him as the boy who he said to Maya so she could explain mating habits of Sphinxes to him. Or something like that. Snort.

"Conan." He greeted the boy with a grin, gesturing towards the last vacant chair next to the others. "Please, have a seat. Anything I can do for you?" Need any specific books? Though, he would be in the library then so that was probably not it.

Conan smiled at the Muggle Studies professor. "I wanted to talk to you." Well that was obvious right. He didn't just come to the office to sit and watch. "Um about the stuff you teach. Cos I am thinking it would be a good option for me for next year." Well he was muggle. He would get an A+ in Muggle Studies.

He sat down in the seat that Zookara had pointed to. After forgetting. He wasn't feeling too smart right now.

"My oldest brother always called that duck Elijah," Kurumi chirped pointing to the duck. "I am not sure exactly why though. He just told me it looked like an Elijah." Takashi had always been into philosophy and studying world religions, so she assumed that there was some connection there.

Kurumi flushed when she heard Professor Zookara was taking his time finding the perfect spot for the rubber duck. She took a moment and admired the collection around the room of all the yellow squishy goodness when a thought suddenly struck her.

Rubber ducks were fantastic companions for taking a bath! At least, she had always thought so. She had once spent over an hour taking a bubble bath when she was about 6-years-old on account of crafting a lengthy story about two rubber ducks who were on a secret mission to discover what was at the bottom of the tub.

Suddenly, and without really thinking through what she was about to say, Kurumi opened her mouth and asked rather innocently, "Professor, do you enjoy taking bubble baths?"

"I'm fine." She shrugged. It wasn't all of the truth, but it wasn't necessarily a lie either. A mental shake had her forcing those thoughts to the depths of her mind as she focused on Professor. "My day has been happy." For the moooost part, but he probably didn't want to hear about that.

Her eyes fell to her badge with a grin, one finger rising to stroke it. "Thanks. It was a surprise." Receiving it, and it still went forgotten occasionally when she wasn't around that kneazle of hers. So long as she didn't lose it or do it any disservice, she supposed she was doing a good job.

"That's good." Hehe. "I'd hate for anything bad to happen to them." And him too, couldn't have bad things happening to one of her favorite professors. Her eyes flicked over to the case of ducks. "Have -- " Her question went forgotten when she heard Kurumi voice that question. And it took her a moment to stop staring at the girl, shaking her head with a grin.

"You too, sir!" Noah grinned. He was super happy that there was already someone here he knew. Well... kind of knew.

And family didn't count, so nyehhhh.

"My cousin? I think so... like... she was on the train and stuff," he shrugged. He wasn't bothered about her right now; the less he saw her, the absolute better it was. "My brother's here too. He's just as bad as her, you know... only... smarter about it."

So he was thinking SHE'D be in Gryffindor and HE'D be in Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Because it wasn't like he knew.

"I just wanted to come and thank you for that day in Diagon Alley. Delilah thinks she's the boss of everyone... but she's really not." A mischevious, somewhat self-satisfied smile showed itself on Noah's face here. Hehehe.

Ah, she'd have such fun here.

Melina waited quietly behind her fellow classmates, then caught her professor's eye.

"Good morning, professor!" she said with a bright grin on her face. "I'm Melina Morninglory, first-year. I'm really looking forward to your class!" Being half-Muggle, she couldn't wait to see how a Wizarding school taught students about Muggles.

"Will there be any type of Muggle item show-and-tell? My father's sending my my iPod to me- I could bring it in," she offered.

Show-and-tell? Really, Melina?! You just sounded like a Kindergartener, not an 11-year old. How bad is this first impression going?

She smiled sheepishly at her professor, hoping he understood what she had actually meant.
