At the next comment though, his mouth hang open for a few seconds until he could collect himself. Now, this was more a matter of saving Marie's honour than trying to act like her.

Evan didn't answer that comment, for he hadn't been snogging him. In fact, he believed Marie had a little time with the disgusting boy too, as far as he knew, she had been with that other lunatic Matty for the most of the summer. But, he just made a face and hoped that would do.
Psssh, Evan knew Fallon wasn't that stupid to believe him. "Four girls being official," he scoffed. But the whole world knew that he had kissed at least the triple of that four behind closed doors. He opened his mouth to tell all these, when she baffled him with all that But he lo-lo-looooves meeeee! crap.
"Yeah, SUCH a love!" he said, now getting all worked up because Fallon surely couldn't be this naïve. "It takes six months maximum. Then he'll be saying those to other girls." Evan knew, because he had to be there to console Marie in the common room.
"Yeah... it's better if we both go away... do that, please. Have the most with him while he's still interested in you," he laughed bitterly. Maybe Marie wouldn't be saying any of these, but right now Evan hardly cared. He hoped Fallon would see Finlay for what he really was, and if this stupid assignment would be a step towards that, he was more willing to act like himself.
Half-running up the stairs, he sighed at how things were. Today had shown that Marie's life was much more complicated than he'd ever thought. And one other thing was also certain that...

Vashti left the third floor corridor and ascended the staircases quickly, wanting to get away from all that nonsense as quickly as possible. Merlin, she just couldn't get over how anyone could be friends with a girl like that. How did Louisa - the real Louisa - stand her? Vashti would have to talk to her about her choice of friends. Really - ugh!
The fifth year really wanted to change back into her own body by now, but it seemed the time wasn't up yet. So what was she supposed to do now? She could go back to the common room and just sit around, but that was boring. Not that she needed anything exciting after all that had happened on the third floor, but she didn't want to just to nothing...
And then it hit her that she had her own owl now, and she hadn't really visited her yet since she'd received her on her birthday several days ago. Might as well now, right?
So Vashti continued up the staircases, heading for the owlery.

Legend jumped off the last step of the staircase just as it had started to move. He was really going to miss the moving stairs, but really, he wouldn't miss the constant trek that was basically a workout to the Gryffindor Common Room.

There he was! Legend let out a sigh of relief. Because if he had lost Orlando he really wouldn't want to go all over the castle for him looking. So he wouldn't have. Then he would have felt bad. And that would lead him TO go look for him.
Really...it would just be a big waste of time.
There was one reason, and one reason only why he wanted to meet up with Orlando. So there was no point in delaying what he had "I have something for you.." It really wasn't...the best of gifts...but it came from his heart right? Legend shrugged it off. "So...I don't want to get all sappy, but since your first year I've basically tried to be your mentor. And you weren't so good...in the beginning...but you've grown up Lando. Become a man-like me. So I couldn't be happier for you...because this year I have noticed how much you have grown up...and that you no longer need a mentor. Or me."Reaching into his pocket the Prefect pulled out his more treasured item and dropped it into Lando's hand. "I've had that since I was about four years old. It really is my good luck charm...plus I used to swim but that's beside the point. It's yours now. To give you go luck, and to remember to always act like a cool dude-man."
