Christopher nodded solemnly. "Well, if you say so. I mean, I'm definitely glad we both end up okay, but what if.... what if.... what if the future changes? I mean, can it? Is that even possible?" he asked almost nervously. "With my awful luck, anything could happen. Isn't it that any descision I make now could change my future, even after you've seen something else?" He was pretty sure that was a thing.

....Wait....

"Have you already seen your future?"

Selina chuckled and put her hand on his shoulder, "Look trust me. The person who you end up with doesn't let you mess it up. She is a personality that you will need later on in life. This girl, whoever she is, makes you happy and you spend some very long and happy years with her. I haven't seen it all, but from the snips I do see- you're all right."

At his question she answered, "And you see the future can change. Only if you know about it so you can be consieous of changing it. I'm not going to tell you, so it will stay pretty much the same."

...

"Yes and no," Selina answered, "I see a lot of my friends' futures so I'm in the vision. But no, nothing related directly to me."

"Huh?" he asked, incredibly puzzled this time. Far more than he had been previously, actually. "....You can see... other people's futures..... but you can't see you own?" he asked slowly, repeating what she said to make sure he'd heard her correctly. "But that's so strange! Why is it that you can only see what happens to other people, but not to you? Well, not to you directly, anyway."

Christopher was very glad he wasn't a psychic. It was much to confusing and unpleasant for him. This thought led him to another question, though. And he had plenty more for the poor girl, as the whole thing was very intriguing.

"Is it weird, seeing everyone grow up? And do you ever see moments that make you feel really awkward? What's that like?"

Selina laughed when he asked her a million and one questions, "It's weird." Selina replied shortly and chuckling.

She then looked up at him and said, "Why what do you think it would be like seeing all of your friends get older? By the way... you don't end up half bad."

"The future is weird," Christopher agreed with a chuckle. "But really, why is it that you don't see your own future? I would have thought that'd be the thing you saw most!" he exclaimed, of course still very curious. But he was always that way, Christopher was. He could never obtain enough knowledge. He always wanted to know more. Everything was a mystery that had to be solved.

When Selina asked a question this time, the thirteen year old was almost shocked. He heaved a sigh when he thought of his response, an then said it aloud for her. "It's sad and bittersweet in a way, thinking about when we're grown and leaving this school and maybe, but hopefully not, each other. But it's kind of cool, and interesting, thinking of us all grown with a different look, with families of our own and children and jobs...... I hardly know what to think of it all."

Selina laughed and replied, "Right? You would think that I, of all people, would see my own future. But it's not true. I see mostly everyone else's. I mean if I see one more thing from Violet's future I swear I am going to throw up. Her kids are the most perfect little things that I can't even function."

Then he replied to her question and said, "Well then there is your answer isn't it? I mean you asked me, but you just answered your own question. It is weird for sure, seeing everyone grow up and move on with their own lives, but at the same time- seeing everyone alright and happy is a nice thing. True, not all of it is perfect... but life is flawed isn't it?"

Christopher laughed. "That is so strange! Do you mostly see things from your friends? Or do you see people you know of, but don't really talk to? Or even people you've never met?" he asked, bombarding her with yet another set of questions.

He continued chuckling when she spoke of Violet, but his laugh soon turned silent, a sad expression in his eyes. And suddenly, he began to know just the tiniest bit what Selina went through each day. Because thinking of Violet with perfect little children and a new husband made him feel week and powerless and down-right miserable. Of course he'd always known in the back of his mind that there was the possibility of breaking up (they were just kids after all, those relationships usually don't last anyway), but thinking about it full on was really, really hurtful. Selina had said he'd had a family of his own too, and that he was happy, but it was sad to think that in maybe even less than ten years, Violet Le Veela wouldn't be a part of his life anymore.

"Yeah," he said nodding, smiling sadly still. "Life isn't perfect, we know that for sure, but as sad is it, I'm sure it's refreshing just to know that people are all so happy and okay. Like you said, it really does get better."

Selina laughed along with Chris at his random questions. It was nice to look at her ability in such an amusing way. The two ideas of fun and future never really mixed with Selina often, so when they did she relished in every moment of it. But then Chris' eyes went sad. She was going to answer his question and say that she did indeed see the future of people she had never met before, but he had suddenly become sad.

She walked closer to him and asked carefully, "Is everything okay Chris? you seem a bit sad?"

Christopher gave Selina a small smile, though no matter how hard he tried, the look in his eyes just couldn't change. "Well, it's just that I think I'm beginning to understand, just the tiniest bit, of what you have to deal with each day. It's just that thinking of Violet with a family of her own..... perfect little children and a new husband..... It's a slap in the face, like a wake up call that these things here at Hogwarts, the friendships and relationships we've made may not all last. Of course I've always known in the back of my mind that there is the possibility of breaking up, I mean, we're just kids after all, young relationships like ours usually don't last anyway, but thinking about it full on is really.... really hurtful. I mean, I know you said that I have a really good life, and a family of his my own, so I can't complain too much, but it's sad to think that in maybe even less than ten years, Violet Le Veela wouldn't be a part of my life anymore. Or that you won't, or Elektra won't, or Cass, or Kurumi won't. I mean, honestly, you're my only friends, and I don't think I can bear to lose anyone else," he said, glancing at the mirror towards the end of his little speech. All of the people close to him, all happy and smiling, were waving at him again, and he didn't want to feel the pain he felt when he saw that ever again.

He cast his eyes back to Selina, his expression the same. "I'm so sorry that you have this burden on you Sel, I really am. But maybe soon enough Professor Bishop, or your friends, or maybe even just you, can learn how to stop the visions, and you can live your life in the present again." With that, he made a mental note to search the entire library on anything that could be of help in the stopping-the-visions category.

Selina rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly. She couldn't every well tell Christopher about Derek, Evangeline, Christianna, Eric, Aaron, Kendall, and Lillith. If she did that could ruin the natural course of his and Violet's relationship. Besides Selina was quite fond of little Aaron and would hate to see him disappear into nothing because Selina revealed that he existed somewhere in the future. But at the same time Christopher thought that he and Violet were finished, that they would never be. When phrasing her previous questions she tried to keep it as open minded as possible- it didn't work. So she said to Chris, "You don't lose us, I can tell you that much. As to you and Violet, whose to say you don't marry whose to say you do? Let the future run its course and then it will all be revealed in time. Who knows those perfect kids may be yours."

...a cure.

She would be lying if she said she didn't think about it. But after having been through so much she wasn't sure she even wanted to try to attempt stopping a vision, "I would love to stop visions, I just don't know how to do it."

Christopher heaved a great sigh of relief. With a nervous laugh, he said, "Oh thank God! To be honest, I don't know if I could handle losing any of you!" He relaxed much more after that, feeling better already. So far, he didn't have to lose anyone anymore, and that was really all he cared about. But at Selina's next words, Christopher fidgeted nervously and very anxiously. "So, you don't know about us? Because I'd rather you didn't know, no offense or anything, but that way, I could just let the future run it's course without going crazy or making you tell me or something. I don't want to know, I don't want to change the future, nothing! Because if I don't know, I still have the possibility of maybe being with her, but if I do find out, I probably won't stand a chance."

Don't know how to, eh? "Does Professor Bishop know how to? Do you think there might be some books on it in the library? Maybe she'd even give you a note to look in the restricted section if you needed to! I'm sure there's some sort of 'cure' somewhere! We'll find it, Sel."

Selina smiled at Chris' concern with her cure. It was sweet of him to care so much, but she knew from reading a hundreds of books that there was no cure to visions. They didn't go away ever, some Seer's could learn to control their abilities and prevent them from coming unless they wanted to use them, others just ended up in a vision for the rest of their lives and became prophets who were lifeless people who sprouted out fortunes. It was too young to tell what kind of person and Seer she would be, although she did wish she knew. It would remove a lot of the pressure on Selina.

"There is no cure per say. It honestly depends on the person. I've been to the restricted section and read all the books. Bishop has helped me too. Now its a waiting game and we'll just see where it goes from here."

Jonathan just feels like going home right now. Finals have already came and probably he has done some of them, some were already finished. In some subjects, such as Herbology, he was really struggling with BUT with Potions, he just did it smoothly. Now, he just wishes that he had the same enthusiasm with the other subjects. He was also doing well in Charms class and in Transfiguration.

Sigh.

He was still holding his journal and stayed in one corner of the area. Not much is seen in this part of the castle. Just a huge mirror really. Nothing much to see. Quite boring too. Well, to him at least it was.

He sat down and took out his muggle pencil. He has been getting used to the pencil already. He really likes that muggle invention. He sat down and opened the journal. Most of the pages had drawings already, some had funny scribbles. He shuffled into a blank page and began to draw the mirror.

This is nice. He hasn't drawn much in awhile.

Christopher felt so impatient that there was no cure. It wasn't her fault that she was always forced to be in the future, but why couldn't she resist it? Maybe someone could teach her! "Could someone who knew how to resist it, teach you? Because I mean, I'm sure we could find someone who could help you, couldn't we?" he asked confidently, sure he could help his friend somehow. "Does Professor Bishop know anything? I mean, she is the Divination teacher, has she been able to help you very much?"

Selina smiled at Chris and said, "Well that can be our mission this summer when you move into Whitely. We can go looking for that person who can help me... I think that'll be a nice house warming gift to you, working you know," Selina joked.

"Are you read to move into Whitely, Chris?" Selina asked. She was genuinely curious.

Christopher didn't answer Selina's question. Well, not directly anyway. Instead, he just grinned and wrapped her up in a big hug. "You have no idea," he said happiy, his eyes lighting up at the mention of the topic.

"I really hope my Mum says yes. Because staying at home or an orphanage would be a nightmare, and staying with you would be a dream come true," he said, smiling. "But one thing..... your parents..... they seemed reluctant in their letter. And when I say your parents, I mean your dad. Are you sure it's okay that I stay with you. I have a feeling that your dad doesn't approve of me staying there. Like he already doesn't like me or something."

Selina hook her head and said, "No he's happy that you're coming. He just was nervous about how you'd be emotionally. He's not a very emotional guy so when your Dad passed he was nervous that he would not be able to help you though any of your issues. He felt weak and helpless, especially because I was so distraught about it."

She put her arm around him in a half hug and said, "You're wanted there... trust me."

"You were really distraught about it?" Christopher asked, a little shocked. He knew she'd felt sorry for him, but he wasn't aware that she felt so upset too. Atleast, she hadn't acted that way around him.

"I don't know, I just feel like I'm over staying my welcome. He seems to be uncomfortable with the fact that I may be a little distraught about my dad still, and even more uncomfortable that I'm dating Violet. If I were a dad, I probably would be too."

"I'm fine, I was just sad for you. I mean for both of you. It was a hard time and I know that you both were going through a tough time."

Selina laughed, "Oh no... you're going to be one of those Dads aren't you? The one who is super protective of his daughters. Merlin I can just see it now... the moment one of your girls starts to date.." She clamped her hand over her mouth. She didn't mean to say that. Honestly she was vague enough about his future that he hoped he didn't ask anything. But her and her stupid mouth.

Christopher laughed along with her, picturing a really embarassed teenage girl with dark hair and light eyes. "I can see it, can't you? I would! I can just imagine all of the embarassing things I can do!" he joked. He wouldn't have even known anything she had said was out of the ordinary, but when Selina clamped her hand over her mouth looking panicked, Christopher knew she'd just revealed something in his future.

He gave her a smug look and smirked. His girls, eh? So it seemed Christopher James was a going to be a father of daughters. "I guess I'll have plenty of opportunities, then."

Selina coughed, "Plenty of opportunities...? Psh, no. I mean that is just CRAZY talk and you know... your head is full of... no. Psh, that it just so, psh, and daughters- plural. You know you have a crazy head full of... those thoughts. Daughters, psh, that's crazy and you know... um what are you talking about? You Mister James make no sense. Daughters... psh." Selina was and had always been and will always be an awful liar. All of her friends knew about her inability to lie and Violet made a habit to poke fun at her... hindrance.

Helena walked up to the fourth floor, looking for that mirror to practice the... completely useless task from the list from Mr. Borr. But why didn't she just use the girls' bathroom? So she wouldn't look too awkward, while talking to herself...her reflexion, or whatever, and this mirror seemed sometimes more peaceful.

But just as soon as she reached the mirror...

Ahh there was someone already.

The girl was about to spin around on her tiptoes and go back to the common room, but as she looked again, she recognized the figure that was sitting on the floor, apparently.

"I didn't know you draw," she said with a large smile on her face as she approached Jonathan. She also hoped that she didn't scare him, since he looked pretty concentrated on his sketches. But she didn't take a look... yet, even though she was curious. You know, some people like to keep their talents just for themselves. Hehe.

Christopher smirked and crossed his arms, looking down at Selina with an eyebrow raised. "Crazy talk, huh? Well you know what isn't crazy talk? That you, are a horrible liar. That 'coverup' you just made was the worst I've ever seen attempted. It must've set a record! Selina, that didn't even make sense!" he said with a laugh. "Just admit it! I'm going to have daughters! I guess that just means I'll have to name one after you," he said with a grin, poking her nose.

Selin put her hand on her hip and said very self-assured, "I'll have you know Christopher James that I am a very good liar! Sometimes..." Then she dropped her arms and said sadly, "Am I really that awful? Everyone tells me it is just embarrassing to watch. But there is no way it is that bad, right?"

But when he gave her that look she threw her hands up in the air, "Fine! You have daughters. I'm not telling you how many you have though or anything else! Keep the future in the future."

"Oh.... erm.... well...." Christopher rubbed the back of his head, not looking at her in the eye, making a facial expression that clearly said 'yikes.' "At least now you don't have any reason to lie?" he suggested, with the same expression. He dropped his arm and tried not to smile, but ended up breaking into a big grin. He ruffled up her hair and said, "Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I wish that I couldn't lie. Then I probably wouldn't anymore."

"That's fine by me! I guess I'll just have to wait a bit longer to embarass Selina Junior then," he said with a grin, laughing at the scowl etched onto her face.
