Library Reading Lounge As you enter the Hogwarts library, what appears to be a cozy nook in one corner of the main area appears most appealing to the Hogwarts student interested in his or her reading. Upon further inspection, you see that this comfy area is larger than it had seemed on first sight. Spread throughout the room are clusters of armchairs, surrounding magical reading lamps giving off different levels of light, all of which are appropriate for reading. These clusters are perfect for study groups or group projects. |
Connor sat alone with his Arithmancy textbook His normally wild hair even wilder because when he got frustrated with himself over being a complete Arinthmancy Dunce. He was trying to figure out his Physical Transit number right now and move on for this journal thing the professor wanted them to do. He was lost. |
Quote:
Either that, or he was going for a new look...but she much preferred the slightly less crazed looking Conor to the mad-man one. "You alright?" she asked setting down a page full of complicated equations and calculations down on her lap. |
Quote:
SPOILER!!: Connor's paper "I'm such a dunce at this, I just don't get it, I think i'm going to go to Professor LaFay and drop Arythimancy for Divination." he put his head in his hands feeling ultimately stupid. |

She took a quill out of her bag and scribbled some notes at the bottom of it. SPOILER!!: added prettyness After writing from memory, Kurumi set her quill down and passed him back his parchment. "Baby steps," she smiled. |

SPOILER!!: His new parchment |
Zara made herself comfortable on one of the chairs at the reading lounge. She placed the couple of books about music which she had found on the table. Then, Zara took out her ink, quills, and parchment from her bag. And so her mind was put to work as she began writing her very first musical composition on the piano to give to her mom tonight as a birthday gift. |
Alicia decided to come to the library to study as she couldn't be able to study anywhere else. too much distraction here and there. "At least I should give it a try." She muttered to herself. She dropped her back next to an empty chair at the reading lounge and sat down. She rummaged her backpack and took her thick Defense Against the Dark Arts book. "Oh boy!" She sighed. She opened the book, flipping the pages without actually reading it. "I haven't even started. Why am I feeling so tired already..." She raised her eyebrow. Thinking bunch of other random things: laying down by the lake, enjoying her ice cream. She smiled. |
Quote:
She scanned the text and blinked several times a bit unsure that she really understood what it was saying. "For someone who says they are rubbish at Arithmancy, you would think that you would pick an easier place to start," she said grinning as she looked up from the text. "Well, first you need to add all the numbers up in your name," she said looking back at the parchment. "So...C has a value of 3...which therefore represents three years of your life in which you will have to..." she returned her gaze to the textbook to read a bit. "You will be better able to express yourself. You are more creative and original. You will be intuitive and may experience premonitions or other psychic experiences. You feel more adventurous and make several new friends. There will be an increase in social events. You are capable of self-promotion. This is a good time for business, especially sales." She looked up at him. "Well, that's at least some good news." She set the parchment down on the book and looked at Connor. "According to the text, each letter in your name has a meaning and the number value assigned to that letter indicates how long you will experience those effects," she explained looking him straight in the eye and hoping that what she was saying was making sense. "When you add all the numbers together, you will know how long the cycle is. Meaning, you will know in how many years everything starts over." She paused to allow him to take it all in. "Easy, right?" she teased. She was sure some people would be proud of her for using sarcasm at a time like this. |
Anyone pwease? :3 ♥ It was nice to be back at the library.Fee loved to come here and read love novels for hours.Seriously, there probably wasnt someone more romantic than the blonde.Every week she came here and read a book about romantic relationships. When reading the girl seemed to forget about the world completely,it was weird. Plopping down on one of the really comfy couches the blonde sighed happily. As she opened her book, she crossed her legs and started reading. It felt good to be back at Hogwarts. |

J Bunny ♥ This was so hard. The fifth year sighed and slouched, throwing the book onto the table in front of him. He WAS willing to give up but he had to do this..for Ellie. Which included not telling Ellie and certainly not Kaia what he was doing right now. Chandler would tell Alex but after the whole break up between him and Ellie that, wasn't a good thing to do and then he wouldn't be so happy about Chandler doing this for Ellie. Alex was her ex after all. But Kaia, Ellie nor Alex would ever see him in here. It's not like THEY came in here often. Although Chandler did remember that time when he met Ellie in here. She wouldn't..come in here right? :erm: |
Quote:
Perhaps he liked the broom that much because it was like, his best friend at the moment... Ahem, right. He decided that he could relax a little in the reading lounge, people didn't talk there and it wasn't such a big chance he would run into either Ellie or Chandler. He picked a random book from a shelf and plopped down in a big chair, and that's when he noticed He didn't want it to be all awkward again! *whines* Alex felt the urge to say something, it would be too weird if he didn't. "Hi." he said looking curiously at what Chandler was reading. What was Chandler doing in the library anyway? |
Quote:
O_____O AHH CRAP. "Al-Alex!" Hi..would you mind getting that book what just dropped...RIGHTINFRONTOFYOU. CRAPPPP. Chandler wided his eyes and stared at the book and then leaped forward to pick the book off of the floor because Alex even got the chance. The French boy then closed it and put it behind his back. "Err..'i, Alex." Hi indeed. |
Quote:
Whuaaaat did he think he was doing? Alex frowned suspiciously at him when Chandler hid the book behind his back. What could Chandler be reading that was so secretive? Sure, they weren't on the best terms right then but still, he wasn't doing anything... Illegal, was he? If he was, Alex would just have to put on his detective goggles and find out. Yeah, he wasn't getting away that easily. "What are you reading?" he asked. Alex stood up and tried to move behind Chandler's back to get a good look at the book. Tell Mr. Reed now Channieboo. |
Gwen was holding two books in her hands, trying to decide which one of them she should start reading. She read the first and last page of each of them, but still wasn’t able to decide which was more interesting. Finally, she flipped for it. The thicker one won. |
Looking from the book back to the camera then to the book.Mikey pulls his wand pointing it at the camera " You look here. If you dont do what I want we are both going to the lake, and only one of us is coming back " Picking the camera up. Looking at the lens then setting it back down he picks up the book. |

She looked at the snake skin shoes and shrugged. "Well, I need to find a way to accessorize these disgusting robes, and what's wrong with them? I have it in several colors," Orabelle said defensively. They were adorable and that was what mattered. "Besides, they're not that high," she added. If it was like four inches then, like, yeah, duh, no way was it fit for school. But two inches? Give her a break. |
my bad should have said old camera Quote:
SPOILER!!: camera |

Orabelle gave him an odd look. "So you have a problem and you need to talk to someone about it?" Orabelle said slowly. Uhm... did she look like an aunt? She did nawt want to look old. She was too pretty for that. |
Quote:
SPOILER!!: shoes |

Orabelle's mouth dropped. "So are you saying that I have terrible fashion sense? That I'm ugly?" Orabelle asked angrily, slapping the stack of magazines on her lap. She was pretty mad. Yup. She was the best dressed for everything. And she knew what style was. "Your mother can do advertising but I'm going into modeling," Orabelle said. Did he think they would hire ugly people? Orabelle flipped through the magazine stack and pulled out one, opening it to a page in the middle with her on it. Yeah, she was gorgeous and if he thought otherwise he was insane. |
Anyone???? CeCe picked up a book, something similar looking to Mexico..She was beginning to get homesick..The friends she made Kurumi and Selina, had been gone for a very long time and CeCe was lonely. She had no one to be crazy around or to tease about anything. Flipping through the pages she didn't understand any word of it because of the english language, but the popping images scared her, at first. Then the more she saw the more relaxing it became for her, a sort of interest to spark her plug. |

Emmy couldn't decide; romance, mystery, and classics were all soooo amazing. Shaking her ginger curls away from her face, she finally chose the mystery, vowing to read the others as soon as possible. She walked slowly towards a giant armchair, already reading, and ran into a lamp. "Ouch!!" she exclaimed loudly, and then quietly hurried to the chair, hoping that no one had seen her. |

"Yuck!" Emerald yelped, making the best disgusted face that she could. "Ew... Aren't skrewts those lobstery things?" She tried to repress a shiver at the memory of her unfortunate encounter with a lobster at a restuarant in San Francisco. "Anyway," she started, trying valiantly to rid her mind of claws, "how did you like classes today?" |

"When did I say I was your friend?" Orabelle asked curiously. But honestly, she wouldn't exactly mind being his friend. He had a somewhat decent taste in clothing and stuff. Orabelle frowned and touched her forehead. "Am not!" she said with a pout. She wasn't ready to be an old granny yet! She was still young and pretty. *POUT* |

When he sat down, he noticed a new girl in his year. She was a Gryffindor, and he'd seen her around, but he'd never spoken to her before. Well hey, he might as well make some new friends. He barely had any anyway. He picked up his bag and walked over to her, a friendly smile on his face. This was sure to go awkward, he lacked so many social skills. But he needed to be more outgoing. He sat down across from her. "Hi, I'm Christopher. You're new, right?" He held out his hand to shake hers. |

The... kitchens...? "Can't say I have," Orabelle said. As interesting as it sounded, she wasn't sure. But hearing biscuits her eyes lit up. Merlin, she was a sucker for biscuits. Especially with jam or jelly. "Really? That doesn't sound too bad... where exactly is this kitchen?" Orabelle asked. |

? What? "Don't you just walk right in?" Orabelle asked confused as she piled up her magazines and capped her marker before dumping them all into her bag, pulling out her camera first, so it didn't get crushed by the magazines. She placed it back on top. "So, shall we go?" Orabelle asked, zipping her Marc Jacobs tote bag shut. |

Zara, along with Nessie close behind her, found two available seats next to each other. She placed the books in hand on the desk, took a quick look at Nessie behind her, then sat down. As she yawned, Zara stretched her arms up then looked at Nessie. She nodded her head with an expression on her face that says: "Ready?" |

Bringing her knees up to her chin, Ella turned the page of the book she was reading. She had already read it a couple of times, but she was ready to memorise all of these creatures... Twirling a lock of her hair, she yawned. She liked it here in the library. It was.. peaceful. Mos tof the time. She was already thinking about which book she would read next. |
Quote:
Zara was about to greet her cheerfully when her senses reminded her it was a library. Instead she turned to Nessie, sitting next to her, "Hey Nessie, chill for a while okay? I'll just go over there for a while. I need to speak to someone." She smiled and walked over to where Ella was sitting, a few tables away. "Hey Ella." She whispered in her ear and took the seat next to her. "Reading?" What an idiotic question. Of course she was reading. Why else would she be in the library. Zara wished she could take back the question, but it was out already. Oh well. |

Ella smiled. 'Hey!' She held up her book. 'Yep.' She looked over to where she had came from. She saw Ness and piles of books and parchment. 'Homework?' |

Looking back at Ella she said, "Seriously? That's weird, I've been in all the lessons so far." She wondered why. Hmm. Maybe it's because it's just too crowded in the rooms, with so many students. But no, that was impossible, Zara knew she'd scanned each and every face in the room. "I didn't see you either," she finally said and rested her elbows on the table and placing her cheek to her palm. "Right, Ella. Are you still mad at Nessie?" She asked, Nessie seemed a bit of alone already over where she sat. Probably, Zara could talk the two of them into being friends. But first she had to find out why on earth were they not on good terms. |

Then she raised her eyebrows. 'Ness? No.. I'm really not.' Ella laughed. 'I'd just say if I was..' Her eyes narrowed. If she was going to look like the bad guy, she really didn't care. She hadn't said anything to the girl... She barely knew her. Ella sighed. 'Look. I haven't got anything against her, I've barely spoken to her?' She shut her mouth again. She'd end up raising her voice and getting thrown out.. 'And I'm not being accused of stuff.. I get enough of that already off siblings.' If something went missing 'It was Ella! if something broke.. 'Ella you silly girl, what did you do that for?!' Deep breaths. Ella smiled. 'Seriously. My issues have nothing to do with her.' Ella smiled at Zara. She'd probably et mad.. she'd deal with that in a minute.... |

Determination... Not giving up... Then, she puts her belongings on a long desk by a bookshelf before settling down. Instead of studying in the common room, Aiden decided to study in the library instead as it is more peaceful and quiet. As she opens her copy of "A History of Magic", Aiden takes out a piece of parchment and her quill and begins doing the assignment given. |

'Woa, don't growl at us little sister!' ...It was only the triplets. Standing there looking smug and... identical. 'What do you want?' Ella frowned.. and got a letter thrown at her. 'It's from Mam, we'll see you later.' Julian reached over and ruffled her hair. Scowling, Ella watched them walk off laughing. Ella turned back round, clutching the letter. She shrugged. 'sorry.. they disrupt everything..' She laughed and put the letter in her bag. |
Amy never ever ever ever went to the libarary, the one time she had, she'd landed herself in a big fat detention, with Donovan. Scary, terrifying woman she was. Needless to say, her education came before her vast aversion to any of these large heavy and slightly terrifying books that waited on the shelves. She'd pulled and lumped out a book and slammed it down on the table, making a loud bang and a lot of dust, coughing lightly she sat down and began to scan |
Presley curled up with her book in a cozy armchair. She kicked off her hated shoes, and tucked her feet underneath her. Her mother would have had fits if she could see Pres now. Her dad had always encouraged weird stuff like this though. 'If it makes you comfortable, who cares if your feet are on the furniture?' he would say. Presley almost laughed aloud, but stopped. She didn't want to disturb other people's peace and quiet. She turned back to the Tales, and started attempting to decode them. |
Quote:
"Hmm anything interesting today?" |
Amy heard someone talk at her and ready to start whining she aranged a pout on her face before looking up. Uhhhh. Maybe not, this boy was quite obviously older than her. So maybe she shouldn't start whining, that would just make him laugh, and he's obviously thought she was rude or obnoxious or, optimistic perhaps, funny. AND, she recongnised him, she definatley recognised him...she looked at his uniform..OOOOHLOOOKIIIIEEE. Puff. Cool person. I guess she grinned, but libarary's should be clean and stuff. Though that was what Sammy used to rattle on about, the dust and the atmosphere..ew. Gross. Not really, looking for a picture of a sphinx to copy she grinned. It was a..strange, homework. She liked it, she only had to draw. Still. You? |

Laurawrrr! <3 Ack. Studying. It seemed to early in the semester to be heading to the library for study time, but Anakin was doing it anyways. For lack of anything else, plus he'd rather aimlessly study than actually work on an assignment. Because that totally made sense right thur. Plopping down in one of the seats, he pulled out his Ancient Runes textbook and began idly flipping through the pages. There was no way he was going to be able to retain this much information into his brain for OWL's. Could he just like...not take the tests? Please? |

When the blonde was looking for a free couch or armchair to sit in her eyes caught a familiar looking boy sitting there, looking frustrated.Mhhh maybe she should go over to him?Hehe. With a huge smile on her face the third year plopped down next to the boy and noticed the ancient runes book.Ohh her fave subject."Heeey Anakin",the blonde poked him in the side,"studying?" |

Lightly closing the book, Anakin felt a small poke in his side and he jumped slightly, spinning around to see who had joined him and not being able to stop the grin spreading across his face when he saw who it was. "Hey Fee! Erm, was attempting to. I gave up early." Apparently he was a quitter. Failure superhero. FAIL. Glancing at the book in her hands, Ani moved his gaze to her face before asking, "I take it your just doing free reading?" Unless that was part of his homework. And he forgot. Which would be super bad. |
