On the way up to her common room, Ariana walked really slowly. She'd just eaten, and was feeling lazy but not tired, exactly. Slowly... she walked up the stairs, thinking about how there really were far too many stairs in Hogwarts. Especially for the Ravenclaws, who had to walk alll the way up to the seventh floor to get to their common room!

Ariana's mind began to wander as she walked up the last few stairs to the seventh floor. She began thinking about classes, and how excited she was for them to start. She hoped she did well, she had felt kind of in the background last year and wanted to earn lots more points this year. Average, after all, is as close to the bottom as it is to the top!

Pausing next to the statue of Lachlan the Lanky, Ariana covered her mouth as she yawned. Missy, who had been tailing along behind her, yawned too, but didn't bother to cover her mouth, being a cat. It was a big, cute yawn that made one wonder how a cat's jaw could possibly open so wide.

Nika walked up to the seventh floor energetically. She couldn't imagine why all of the people at the feast were so tired. Besides they should really be excited because they're finally back at Hogwarts! As she made her up the stairs she had a thought about forgetting where her common room was.

"Well it's definitely on the seventh floor..." Why did she have to stay behind. Right because she had to use the loo. Out of all the possible chances of using the look she had to go right as everyone started leaving the great hall. Great. Now what. "Maybe it uhh that way?" She pointed in a general direction to her left. Eh, she find her way eventually.

"Or maybe it erm thata way?" She looked towards her right this time. "No.. maybe it's--" She looked up and saw someone else walking to. How embarrassing. "Oh hi... I swear I wasn't talking to myself... There was a ghost here a second ago and I was just--" Nika looked up from her rambling and noticed, "ARIANA!" Hugs!

After watching her owl Marigold fly away with the package for her family, Tayla left the Owlery and headed to the statue of Lachlan the Lanky. Neither Zara, Ari, nor William were there yet.

"I hope they got my note..." she thought to herself. "If they won't be here in 10 minutes, I'm heading back to the Gryffindor common room."

Tayla watched with interest as students came and went, ghosts floated by, and the staircases changed. Even while waiting, Tayla could never imagine a dull moment at Hogwarts.

" I got yoru note" William told Tayla. " So what is in store for me?" willaim asked Tayla.

" How are you?" Willaim asked Hannah. " I am so happy August is alive" William said to Hannah." Of course, I do not remember her too much" William explained to Hannah. " Does Rex know her?" William asked Hannah.

Yeah he dose he the one who he saved from The lake.I'm Great little brother she said with a smile.I heard Connor is my nephew and i really cant see that my way.Oh by the way do you want to come to Tampa,Florida and see my new house.

Coming out of the common room, Zara headed for Lachlan the Lanky. As she reached it she saw Tayla, who seemed like she had been waiting for quite a while. "Tayla!" she shouted from a distance, waving her hand high up in the air. Then she ran towards Tayla. "Hey, what's up?" she smiled.

"Hi William!" Tayla said, seeing him walk towards her. "I'm glad you got the note. I hope Zara and Ari arrive soon, too. Oh, and you asked me about Quidditch. Yes, I signed up. I'm hoping to train as a chaser or a seeker. But I'm hoping to be a chaser the most. You?"


"Zara!" Tayla grinned, waving at her friend as she came towards her. "I hope Ari comes in a while. When she arrives and if you're still hungry, we can get some breakfast before heading to the lake. I'm so excited!"

"Yeah, I'm not really that hungry." Zara said, proudly. But then her stomach betrayed her. It made a growling sound like a lion--a Gryffindor. Yeap, she was hungry, and the lion inside her stomach said it all. "Well I guess I'm a little hungry." The growling inside her stomach got louder. "Okay fine, I'm very hungry."

Ariadne lost track of time while exploring the grounds. When she remembered she was supposed to meet Tayla in front of Lachlan the Lanky, she ran for it. However, it was a long distance from the grounds all the way up to the seventh floor. Not to mention that the moving staircase took her somewhere strange and it made her waste another 10 minutes.

Finally making her way to the statue, she could see people waiting there. In fact, she was the last one to arrive. Brilliant. 'I'm sorry I'm late, I lost track of time.' she excused herself for tardiness and caught her breath. 'So, what's up? Where to now?' Ari asked, eyeing the whole group of Gryffindors.

" Great, Rex is a good guy" William told Heather. " Glad you want to see Connor" William said to Heather." I would love to visit you as long as I get permission from mom and dad" Willoiam explained to Heather.

" I did get the note and rushed right over" William tolc Tayla." I hope Zara and Ari, right show up soon, too" William said to Tara. " i am trying out for Keeper because I love to defened the goal but beater would be cool, too" Wiliam explained to Tara. " How did you learn to play Quidditch?" William asked Tara.

" You are not late" William told the girl. " Let me properly introduce myself, my name is Willaim Montcenaggio, but please call me William Starr. " Where did you meet Tara?" William asked her,

Well Will i always call you that.Yeah he is i just hope he can deal with two 9 month old twins.Their a hand full at christmas Jasper Knock over a vase and my Unlce was mad.

Ariadne suspected the boy only said that to make her feel less embarassed, but nevertheless smiled and introduced herself properly: 'I am Ariadne Marchbanks, but most people call me Ari. Nice to meet you, William.Are you a first year too?'

As for his question: 'I haven't met Tara. I only know Tayla, from the feast, and Zara, from the Common Room.' the girl explained.

" Ok, heather, I like the name Will, too" William told her. " Rex is a resilalant person, so we will have to just wait and see when they meet again" William said to Heather." You know if they made to Jason's. he is a good guy, but I do not want to the twins make Jason angry and Rex will get just a little less angry" William explained to Heather.

" Hello Ariadne, very nice to meet you" William told her." Yes, I am a first year but with a caveat" William said to Ariadne. " My parents and their freinds went to HogWarts" William explained to Ariasne." Now, I feel really bad, I meant Tayla" William sighed.

Tayla giggled when she heard Zara's stomach grumble. "Me, too," She said cheerfully, then answered William's question, addressing them both, "Mum was a Gryffindor keeper. She taught me to fly and play a little Quidditch after I received my Hogwarts letter."

Tayla beamed when she saw Ari coming towards them. "Great! We're all here. Want to go down to the Great Hall for some breakfast?"

"Alright! Let's go eat, I'm starving." Zara chuckled as they all made their way down the stairs towards the Great Hall.

" Glad the twinsstop breaking stuff" Wiliam Told Hannah." Good for Joey, noe dad is going to be a grandpa again" William laughed. " Rex wo;; remeber he loved or loves her" William expalined to Hannah.

" Very good, I hope we both make the first team" Willaim told Tayla. " Unfortunately, we play the same position" William said to Tayla. " You wrote a letter for us just to get some breakfast?" William asked Tayla.

"I'm not trying out to be a keeper. I just said Mum was. I want to be a chaser - or a seeker," Tayla explained. "No, it was for us to go to the Lake actually, since we were planning to, but I had to go to the Owlery and thought you might wonder where I went. So I left a note...I asked about breakfast 'cause I thought you guys might be hungry."



Tayla followed Zara down to the Great Hall.

" You will make a great keeper, chaser or seeker" William tols Tayla. " Well, I do hang out at the lake" William said to Tayla. " Of course, I eat breakfast, too" William laughed. " I am right behind you "Willaim called out to Tayla and Zara.

Ariadne began to walk along the corridor with the others, when she remembered she was supposed to meet Melina for a quick chat. She ran over to Tayla, Zara and William and explained quickly: 'I'm supposed to meet a Ravenclaw friend in the Great Hall, I'll hurry up now and talk to her, and then I'll wait for you at the table.' And with that, she ran down the stairs, heading to the Great Hall. Why was she in such a hurry all the time since starting school?
