Nika listened carefully and laughed when it came to the part about "playing" the MP3. "You play the Mp3?" How is that even possible. Well however it was done Nika chuckled. "My friend is trying to teach me goobledeegook or whatever it's called. She says it's the goblin language." Mermish sounds like more fun though.

Kita smiled at Caroline, wiping the chocolate off of her top lip with a tissue as she did so. She was lucky that she barely got embarrassed by her actions; anyone else and they would have surely been in blushville right now. Her eyes wandered up to the hat perched on top of Caroline's head and a giggled escaped her lips. "I can tell," she said.

"You're welcome," she said, taking a proper bite of her toast. Mmm... chocolate! She closed her eyes to savour the sweet tantalising taste of one of her favourite foods in the world. But a shuffling was breaking through the cloudy layer that was her oncoming daydream. The brunette opened her eyes and looked down at the present that was sliding towards her. "Oh my days!" she said, "For me? Gee, thanks Caroline!" She leant over and gave the blonde a hug. "Oh oh oh! This one's for you," she said, picking up the present and handing it over, "Happy Christmas to you too Miss Caroline."

Now... time to open her present! Kita opened the box and gasped at what was inside. She stood up, pulling out the outfit inside as she did so. "Caroline! This is..." And... she couldn't find any words to describe the gift or... how she felt or... anything! Caroline had finally did what her adopted mother had been trying to do; make Kita speechless. Gulping, the brunette let out a squeal and simply said, "Thanks for the best Christmas gift i've ever had Caroline."

Nika let out a small "Oh." as she sipped some juice out of her goblet. Three things eh? Okay well here goes nothing. "Three things.... One, I may look sane, but really I'm crazy. Or at least that's what my friends tell me. Two, I'm actually really loud and I love jumping up and down on my bed because it's fun. Three, I think chocolate frogs are awesome." Well even though those three facts about her weren't that great... "Is that alright?" She asked with a giggle as she heard the next question. "Well I didn't really find out until my letter came. I guess now that I think about it a few weird things have happened around me before, but everyone just thought that was because I was weird." She said with a chuckle.

Caroline laughed as Kita eat her toast. and enjoying it in fact. She almost seem to be a a daydream like stage. She waved her hand in front of her. "Kita. Kitaaa!" haha "welcome back to the real world" She giggled. She pushed the present even closer to her. "Yes it's for you." She nodded Silly girl.


She hugged her silly best friend back and smiled. "For me?" She mocked. She waited and watched as Kita opened her present first. She would be nice and let her open hers first. She smiled as Kita's reaction to the gift. Was Kita Speechless? Holy Merlin Caroline had made Kita speechless. For the first time. Well this was new......For a minute anyway before she started to squeal "You're welcome I'm glad you like it."

Caroline laughed and nodded. She started to opened hers. Her reaction was much like Kita's reaction. She just sat there picking up each item. "Oh, my Kita, I love it." She half giggled half squealed (That must have sound really weird) And Hugged Kita. "Thank you, thank you, thank you."

Nika nodded as Mikey spoke. She noticed that he changed the subject away from his mom pretty quickly so she didn't go asking about it. Nika knew that when people asked her about her sister, or what happened with Emily that things got hard. So she knew not to push it. "Really!? Low ceilings wouldn't be able to stop me!" She said with a grin. "I don't think we're allowed to jump on our beds." She said in a low whisper. "But I do anyways because it's fun and I don't wanna sleep!"

Isobel skipped in to the Great Hall. She was so hungry. She spotted Nika and Mikey sitting at the Hufflepuff table so she sat down next to them. "Hey Nika, Hi Mikey." She looked around at all the food. There were so many choices, which one should she have?

Penny walked into the Great Hall, her stomach rumbling with hunger...
Seeing Isobel, her quidditch captain, sitting up at the Hufflepuff table, she walked on over and sat down opposite her..
"Hey Isobel... how are you today?"

Isobel looked up when she heard her name and saw Penny sitting across from her. She smiled at the younger girl. "Hi Penny," she said cheerfully. "I'm good...a little devious." She grinned evilly and looked around. Maybelle was supposed to meet her soon, at the Hufflepuff table.

Jake walked down in to the Great Hall. He had no idea where Maybelle was; he was looking for her. Apparently she wasn't in there, but Isobel was. Jake walked over to the Hufflepuff table and sat down. "Hey sis," he said. "Have you seen Maybelle?" He said her name cautiously, because he knew Isobel didn't like her very much.

Maybelle skipped to the table. She looked for Jake and Isobel. Her red hair bounced around her, it was quite amusing. She saw them and ran up to them. "Hiiiiiiiiiiii!" She said, excited. I FOUND you!" She giggled. She was a Hufflepuff, and they are particularly good finders.

Well, there was Maybelle. "Hey Maybelle," he said with a smile. "Come, sit down." Jake patted the seat next to him. "I have something for you." He handed her a box with this inside it.

Maybelle sat down next to Jake. "How's it going, handsome?" Maybelle said with a wink. She hugged his shoulders.

Maybelle took the box and opened it. A shiny charm bracelet with the letter "M" sat inside the box. She took it out turned it back and forth to watch the sparkles then smiled. "Thank you, Jake." She gave him a squeeze. "I love it. It's perfect." She opened the clasp and tried to put it on, failing several times. "Can you help me?" Maybelle asked Jake.

Having had enough of his book and note taking, Damien wandered down to the Great Hall. Though company was something he desired as of late, he was greatful to see that there were few students occupying the house tables.

He sauntered over to the Hufflepuff table, deciding on if he was actually hungry enough to eat anything. Getting something from the kitchens was too much work; he'd much rather use his own wand to conjure something up. At leaset that wasn't against any school rules.

Sitting down with a sigh, Damien rested his elbow on the table, his head in his hand. Drawing out his want with the other, he conjured up a cup of black coffee and a cinnamon scone.

*Feeling more than tired Matty walked down the table to an empty spot. He was soaked in water from head to toe. Why? Best to not ask. Resting his head on the table he saw a guy from his house conjure up some coffee and... was that a cinnamon scone?*

"Is that what I think it is?"
*The elves at the school could make some scones that were alright but none like his aunt Kayla made back home. And this blokes cinnamon scone smelled just like his aunts.*

"Hey I'm Matty and... where did you get that?"

-squish, squeak, squish, squeak-

It was impossible to not hear the wet footsteps of a boy from his house walk over to the table and plop himself down, little purts of water going this way and that with a splash.

Hmmm ...

Pointing to the cinnamon scone, Damien nodded his head. "'Tis indeed," he said, Irish accent stronger than it normally was. "Learned to conjure them from my aunt. The only woman's cooking I'd ever eat came from her."

Drawing out his wand again, Damien ordered up the same thing for ... Matty was it? Yes, that was his name.

Picking up his coffee and nodding to Matty he introduced himself. "Damien," he said before taking a sip and making a sour face. "Never could get the hang of coffee, though," he added.

FOOD.

The best thing in this old castle in the blonde puffian child's opinion anyway. Sammy plopped herself down on the bench before looking at her watch then shrugging to herself. ANY TIME WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR FOOD. Then piling stuff onto a plate and shoveling it in like the world was gonna end any classy Hufflepuff. Who knew, maybe she'd scare someone off their food. That would be fun. Or Moggy could like .... stalk them. Yeah. FOOD.

Ness wasn't really hungry, but she had nothing better to do. So she popped into the Hufflepuff table and took a seat. She looked around at all the food and decided to just take somthing small. So she took a chocolate frog and started nibling on it, meantime the girl sitting next to her seemed to be eating away. Nessie wondered how she did it, even when Ness was hungry, she couldn't eat that much.Ness just looked in awe hoping the girl wouldn't recognise her rudeness.

You know that chill you get when you think someone is watching you? Yeah well Sammy had it. She slowly looked to her side and saw some kid staring at her like she was a wild bore. THAT WASN'T GONNA GO DOWN. "what? I'm hungry" she said in her own defence, but that was a really big overstatement she was just bored and the food looked good. So Sammy was eating. Like every other time of the day. BUT HANG ON, why was she taking crap from this little kid, she had to be at least 2 years older than her "Besides, you should learn to respect your elders" she said with a distinct nod, then looking back at her food. Did she really it that much? How the hell was she staying so small then? Bloody fast metabolism.

Nessie felt really bad when the girl said she was Hungry she obviously realised she was watching."Im So Sorry!" said Ness hopping she didn't affend the girl she looked back at her chocolate and carried on nibbling, untill she heard the girl speak again. Ness personally thought what the girl said was a bit rude, but maybe Nessie was being rude. 'Im sorry!" she said again eyes quickly back on her food. Ness started to feel a little scared.

Well Sammy wasn't gonna apologize. Nope. It was her duty to make sure that EVERYONE knew it was rude to stare at people, especially when they're eating. Well not really BUT IT SHOULD BE. Okay, the kid was cute and maybe she had been a bit rude, but so had the kid.... but the kid had apologized and Amy was probably the only one who didn't think she was weird for eating so much. Actually no, Amy did think she was weird. BUT THE KID LOOKED SO UPSET NOW. Damn Sammy and her sappy-ness. "Look, I don't mean to be rude or whatever but I hate, no, passionately dislike" she had been trying not to say hate recently "it when people look at me like a wild bore from outer-space" yep. That was all the apology that kid was getting. She should learn to mind her own ruddy business anyway. With that Sammy went back to her food, eating much more slowly this time so she didn't choke.

"Thank you much." *Matty said as he took a few scones and bit into them. They tasted just like his aunts back home.*
"Your aunt you say? These taste just like my aunt's. Your aunt's named wouldn't happen to be Kayla Gardner?"
*Shaking he's head at the coffee he frowned.*
"None for me, I would rather have a nice cup of tea... You keep to yourself don't you?"
*The guy reminded Matty of himself that way. Both loners but never spoke to each other.*
