Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.

Penny was starving.... It seemed to her, that this morning had been so long.

Walking up the Hufflepuff table , she sat down, quite alone - but she didn't mind so much, some quiet time would be good too!!

Reaching for the pumpkin juice, she poured herself a cup and looked at the food on offer.. deciding on a bowl of tomato soup and club sandwich, and maybe if there was room in her stomach - a chocolate eclair too !!

"Well I guess. But just because you're good at something doesn't mean it's something you have to do." Penny wandered into the great hall looking for a quick snack before bed.... today went on forever, what with divination, muggle studies, transfiguration, ancient runes..then there was homework and quidditch try-outs...

Yes a snack sounded really good right about now... maybe a Peanut butter & jam sandwich...oh and a lovely mug of hot chocolate

Penny had always been used to eating her meals with her family around her.... since arriving at school however, she realised as she sat down to dinner - that she'd only had company 4 times whilst eating in the great hall.. one of those being the start of term feast...

This saddened her, not only did she hate eating alone, but she had another seven years of this, eating alone business...

Taking a few of the lamb chops and roast potatoes onto her plate, Penny pulled her new charms book out of her bag (she may as well read), she began to eat her dinner in silence

Kimalia was still sore from her little collision with an older student during Quidditch Tryouts, now all she wanted to do was sit and eat before she took the walk down to her dorms. Walking into the Great Hall, she didn't feel like walking towards her table and chose the Hufflepuff table that was closer to her.

Penny was a little shocked about the sitting arrangements, but agreed with Kimalias' view that the staff discussions would be terribly boring...

"Definitely, I luv it here, it's all really cool.... I mean, gosh, I've been here 2 weeks and i've learnt more here than I did in all of my whole life - and the grounds are just so beautiful... especially from up in the Owlery, the landscape & scenery are amazing !!"...She was gushing now... but wow, the place was stunning..

Penny blushed a deep shade of red.... she'd never spoke to a stranger, or someone she'd just met, like that ever - this school (and most likely its magic) was having a funny effect on her!!!

Thank Merlin there were no traditions in her family. Well she didn’t think there was. She hadn’t really checked out her mother’s family yet, but it was something she intended to do. “Well I guess you know what you’re doing.”

Mia stood up when Matty did and then laughed at what he said. “Not particularly but seeing how it’s Saturday I don’t really need to worry about that.” She poked her tongue out at him and headed off for the doors. “I’ve got a letter I need to send.”

Kimalia nodded excitedly. "I know right, it's even more gorgeous than any textbook described it as!" Kimalia sipped more of her drink. "D'you have any other classes today?" Maybe if they did they could brainstorm together on the work.

After going around the Slytherin table Nika decided to go look and see if the snakes were hanging out at some other tables too. She needed to hug as many as she could before Isobel and Maybelle won! She searched the hufflepuff table quickly until her eyes spotted some green robes. AHA!

Before she even said hi she ran in and gave the firstie a hug. "Hi I'm Nika. I'm not sure if you remember me from History of Magic class?" She said to the girl rather rapidly. She needs to get more slytherin hugs!

ooc. Me and some friends are doing a National Hug a slytherin day thing. Basically a competition to see who can hug the most.

Ronnie wasn't feeling well. Just something felt off she sighed and made her way to the Great Hall. Maybe after she ate something she'd feel better. She hoped that her stomach would be calm enough for her to eat. She sat on the bench and looked around for any one that she may have known.

She looked at the table and was suddenly STARVING. She pulled everything close to her and began to eat like crazy. She didn't know where her sudden hunger came from. She looked down the table at some one. "Ahoy Matey." She said smiling and waving down the table. Did she really just say that? Ahoy Matey? What did that even mean?

Kimalia was spreading some jam carefully over her biscuit took a bite before answering. "Classes seem pretty good, though I can't bring myself to engage in Transfiguration." It was true, that class did require a set amount of concentration, and she wasn't going to make too much of a fool of herself trying without the right stuff. "Otherwise, I'm anticipating the new Quidditch team results, I tried out for Beater so hopefully I can make it." She was confident that the amount of pinatas she destroyed at muggle parties and occasional baseball practices prepared her for this.

She didn't want to hurt that girls feelings. "4th year." she said again, usually that was another question that was asked often in this school. "Do you know if any one else in the school is getting flu like symtomps?" Ronnie asked looking down at the food and not wanting any more despite the fact that she was starving.
