Kita smiled at the young girl. She remembered being that young and shy. Ok, she was still kind of shy now but no one needed to know that... And anyways, she was good at masking it with her weird habits. "You're welcome," she said, sweetly, "I'm in my sixth year." Uh-oh! Just as the words had rolled off of her tongue, she knew that it was a mistake. Maybe because it sounds quite intimidating to a firstie. Speaking of which... "Are you in your first year?" she asked.

Maggie nodded, "Yes, yellow is my favourite colour. Thanks, next time she comes to see me, I'll have a name for her.



Maggie nodded in agreement "Me too."

She looked around the hall, students everywhere were laughing and talking. Some students she noticed, were reading or sitting silently by themselves. She tried to figure out how many first years were sitting at her table, but gave up and decided instead to think of a name for her owl.

Hearing the conversation shift to Owls. Mikey turns to the new Huff " Hey I am Mikey welcome to Huffelpuff.I could not help over hear you say you got a new Owl.What kind did you get " looking back up at the staff table to see if Tate was any closer to telling us who the new CoMC proffessor was.

"Well, I don't know for sure, but if I had to answer it would be a yes!I love meeting new people!" Tara replyed.Tara was smiling at the boy infront of her. She thought of Hogwarts as a second home even though she just got here.

This is going to be an amazing year! Tara thought. "Do you like it here at Hogwarts?" Tara said with a yawn. Tara hadn't been able to sleep for a while because at night she would be lying in bed thinking of Hogwarts.

"Hi Mikey, I'm Maggie. She smiled brightly, "I did, she's a snowy owl. Do you have an owl?"

Isobel waved at Mikey. "Thanks," she said before considering his question. "Well, Melanie graduated, so did Jake and Rene. So that leaves Treyen, Simon and...well I don't know anyone else's names. There's a couple more. Hopefully a lot of new people will try out. How about you? Have you considered being on the team?"

Isobel nodded; yeah, it was a whole lot. She shrugged at Amy's question. "Most of the time I'm pretty patient. I'm only around them all for the summer. And at Hogwarts I can avoid them if I want." Evil grin, because there were lots of times she wanted to avoid the little talkative devil *cough*Jaymie*cough*. And there were also times when she wanted to avoid Jake, especially when he was with ugh Maybelle.

Demetri entered the great hall amazed at the decoration, especially the celling. He really wished he had met a friend on the train, he was alone being a muggle born not knowing anyone. He sat at the end of the table nibbling on his food slowly and thinking of home.

"Hi," Luke said with a smile at the girl who had introduced herself. "Nice to meet you Tara. My name is Luke O'Connor, and I'm a Fourth year...in Gryffindor. This is the first year I've been here though. I went to an American wizarding school."

Jenna walked into the Great Hall and looked Around " Wow ! " she said Hogwarts was Beautiful She walked Over to the Hufflepuff Table and sat down Hoping she could Talk with anyone she knew . Jen Had Met a few HufflePuffs Back In The Train But she didn't have many friends Considering the Fact She was In Her first Year . Hogwarts Was Just Like her Parents Described It To Be Huge , Beautiful , and Magical . She looked at many of the older Students In There 6th and 7th Years . Jenna Couldn't Wait For when She was Older .

"You might as well try out," Isobel encouraged him. "You'll never know if you don't try out." She was deathly afraid of heights, and look at her. "Um," was her reply to his question. She didn't know! "Well, I know you don't have to bring your own stuff. There's gear there for you to use." See, she knew the answer.

It was...Luke. Isobel tried to make her look like she wasn't panicking, and she blushed against her will. The insanely hot Luke she had met on the train was coming to sit by her. Did he really think she was that exciting? Well, they had kind of...connected. She still felt like she had known him for her whole life, even though she had just met him. Isobel looked around for someone to talk to, to distract herself from the blonde head. But Jaymie was talking to someone, and so was Treyen, and she was awaiting a reply from Mikey, who she was determined to convince to try out for the Quidditch team.

And then he spoke to her. All he said was hi, but Isobel couldn't think of anything to say. She took a breath and turned to him, her face the picture of calm and cool. "Hello Luke," she said, trying to keep her voice steady. So...he was in Gryffindor? Dang. Interesting. So, if he tried out for Quidditch, they would be rivals. House points didn't matter as much to her, Quidditch was what really counted. "How have you been?" That sounded stupid; she had just seen him a couple minutes ago on the train. Oh well, she couldn't take it back now.

It was the first magical picture Maggie had seen, she tried not to show her surprise at the fact that it moved. "He's a handsome owl" wait, thought Maggie are owls handsome, or did I just make myself sound like a dork? "I would like to meet him later."

"That's cool!" Tara said as she heard the last part of what Luke said."Nice to meet you Luke!" Tara looked at him for a moment or to to see his robes.Well, friends make everything better Tara thought in her head."I was wondering if you just left the Gryffindor table or did you visit the other tables to?" Tara asked curiously.

Seeing that Isobel was eying the new Griff " You dont think the big ol boat in the lake is going to mess with the season do you?" scratching the back of his head "They havnt said anything have they ?"turning to see if Tate was any closer to his speech...

"It shouldn't," Isobel said. "I mean, it's in the lake, we'll be on the Quidditch Pitch." If it messed up her first season as captain she'd personally sink it. "Not yet," she said. "Maybe Headmaster Tate will mention it in his speech." If he didn't, she would get very suspicious.

Yes, Luke noticed the blush. That was why he had come over here. It amused him. "Hello Isobel," he said in a formal tone, because that's what she sounded like. Formal; like it was a buisness meeting. Exibit A; How have you been? He had talked to her just a couple of minutes ago. "Horrible," he said, faking a sad expression. "I just had a near-death experiance."

"I got bored over there," Luke told her. "I only know one person, so I came over here, because that's where the only person I know is." That didn't make much sense, but it didn't really matter.

Other what? Hufflepuffs? Or just people in general? Whichever was the case she knew what to answer. "Yes, I've met lot's of people. I like to talk to people. Unless they're older than me, like a lot older, then they just kind of freak me out. Do you know a lot of people older than you?" She didn't want to meet them, especially if they yelled spontaneously like Treyen.

Sixth?! Jaymie tried to make herself smile, but she was too nervous. She gulped and her face paled. "Cool," she said, trying to sound convincing. "Yes, I'm a first year." And this girl was a sixth year.

"Do you have any pets?" Jaymie asked curiously. She was glad they didn't have too many, and the ones they had didn't run around the house. If they did, it would even be more hectic at her house.

"They did? When was that?" It wasn't last year, she knew that. And she hadn't been there before, so she wouldn't know of anything that had happened in the years before her. She grinned. "Yeah, I suppose that's true." She could hit him with her Beater's bat.

Christopher's eyes scanned the Great Hall, looking desperately for a certain little Hufflepuff girl. He'd made plenty of new friends towards the end of the term, but everytime he'd tried to talk to this little girl in particular, he'd been cut off just after he told her he'd probably never see her again. And she probably didn't know he'd ever be back. He hadn't seen her on the train, so the third year decided he would surprise her. He'd tried to write, but he never got a response. Christopher wondered if she'd forgot about him. Violet was half-Veela afterall, and he'd been jealous of her admirers on more than one occasion. Suddenly, a bright yellow bow caught his attention, and a smile spread across Christopher's face. His heart was pounding, he needed to see her. Now was definitely the time for a reunion.

He got up from the Gryffindor table and slipped across the way, over to the Hufflepuff table. Just about 15 yards from his favourite girl...... 10...... 5...... nearly there....... Aha! He tapped her on the shoulder, and said in the most formal voice he could muster, "My dear, do you mind if I may sit with you? Surely you have no previous engagements with any other boy?" He grinned, waiting for his Violet to see him for the first time in around two and a half months.

Cocking his head to the side wit a slight look of disbelief "Dont you rember when Beauxbaton and Durmstrang showed up for the Triwizard Tournament?...You know the Goblet of fire ... Hufflepuff winning ... looking at her as if she had been hit one to many time with a bluddger.

"That wasn't last term," Isobel said, mostly to herself. But, of course, he knew that. "Last year was my first year here. I was at Beaubaxtons before. I do remember that they came here, I was sad because I was too young. They messed up Quidditch? That's jank! I would have killed them." Hufflepuff won? Cool!
