Well, it seemed she had wonderful timing. Lily turned her head and zoned in on the source of all the NOISE. "There is no need to shout." She replied in a calm tone.
Footsie? Really?
Simon looked at his head of house. "What?" Simon was sure he had just heard her say there was no need to shout. "But Professor there was a need for me to shout." Simon said truthfully. "Someone was playing footsie with me." Simon smiled. "There I was eating when suddenly someone started playing footsie." Simon wanted to get a piece of pie and hit his head of house with it but he decided against that since he knew he would be in loads of trouble if he did it so he just smiled.

Turning back to the girl as she spoke, well at least now he knew who was playing footsie with him. "So it was an accident then?" Simon wasn't convinced. "Well next time you want to accidently play footsie with someone find someone else." Simon looked as the girl suddenly decided to have a drink.
Simon looked around to see if his girlfriend Ronnie was about, he didn't want her to find out someone had been playing footsie with him even though it wasn't his fault he thought maybe she wouldn't understand it and then there was Katie who was leaving at the end of the year, Simon wanted to beg her to stay for at least two more years if she would.

She has four years to prep herself, so, she had time.
And that same worried look was on his face. If Arya was worried, then so should he.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to owl Sabel.
Ah. So they were for England. She would remember that for the next time they talked about quidditch, which would be after the feast and probably often with them. "Maybe they'll win next time." She'd have to do some research defiantly to keep up with him and Aaron.
How long she had, she wasn't sure, but she was sure that he would give her a warning before and matches came up.
Yes, she was worried. Which meant he was worried and Sabel WOULD be getting a letter from her when the feast was over and done with.

Hmm.
It seemed the healer had walked over just in time, surely saving herself and Treyen a walk to the staff table.
Arya nodded in agreement, though a food fight would have been awesome, she couldn't have that kind of fun now that she was a prefect and all. Just the good somewhat clean kind of fun.
"That's mostly thanks to Treyen." She gave her friend a playful nudge. "He's been keeping the firsties in line." She was just mingling with the older students and friends.
Maaaaaybe she should mess with a ickle badger?
Hm. She listened to the Healer and Treyen while casting glances around the table.

She frowned at Michael. "D-do you think so?" she asked. She looked down at it and noticed that it was in-fact starting to swell. "I've n-never broken a bone before. Which is just amazing considering how I trip and fall at least once a day."
Before she even realized that their Head of House was at the table, Michael was calling her over to them. "you didn't have to do that. I was planning on going to go see her after the feast, or tomorrow if it was still hurting." Well now that she was at the table, it couldn't hurt to have the nurse look at it.
shaking his head " For a smart girl you really dont think some times do ya.If your horse was hurt. you would get vet right away.So sit still be a good girl and we wont have to take out out backand put you down " giving her a grin and a peck on the cheek " now go on and show her your wrist"

Finally making her way to the Hufflepuff table with two boxes in her hands. One contained cookies for all the Badgers to enjoy and the other...well...those were for a very specific person.
Weaving her way around the table, peeking in here and there looking for Treyen, Kurumi found a open spot where she set down the white box of Hufflepuff cookies and a little note saying they were from her. She was sure it wouldn't make much sense to the first years, but she was sure that the older Hufflepuff students would explain them. At least, she hoped that the Badgers weren't turning into Snakes.
It was then that she noticed Treyen flashing that blinding smile of his and she reached into her pocket to pull out something very important and placed them on her face. That ought to protect her from melting into a pile of Kurumi goo.
"H-H-Hello, Treyen," she chirped coming up behind him and thrusting a box towards him. "Since you don't like cookies all that much..." Her cheeks flushed as she waited for him to open the box.

Simon looked from one girl to the other as they both asked if he was okay, "NO I'm not okay my feet are ruined." Simon sighed. "Here I was minding my own business and so where my feet when suddenly someone decided that they wanted to play FOOTSIE with me." Simon hoped to find out who. "My feet never stood a chance." Simon sighed, ignoring the fact his head of house was there, he was shouting a bit.
The boy was.. something alright. Probably something she should have known by now, she still hadn't forgotten his first year and how they had met. Eyebrows raising, Katie didn't bother to keep a straight face, her amusement was obvious. "Simon.. you know girls usually play footsie with boys they like?" Katie said, not quite sure if he already knew that judging by the way he had reacted. Either that, or he still believed in cooties. "And I'm sure it was just an accident." Not that Simon wasn't adorable in his own way, it just tended to happen when seated at a very large, very full table.

Alright Moretti, enough with sounding old.
She glanced at the boy again... the rather.... excitable one. Had he not heard of an inside voice?
Turning her gaze from the young Hufflepuff boy again as nurse Moretti spoke, Katie shifted a little bit in her seat. "I'm.. well," That was true enough, right? "Looking forward to not being woken up tomorrow morning in some crazy way or another by my younger sister." THAT was true. One of these days, she was going to have to pay Lissy back for her rude - up before the sun - awakenings. "And you, ma'am?"

Dianna turned to face the boy. Really now? Why doesn't he just drop it? It was an accident after all and Dianna will stick to that story until the very end. "All right, all right." she said holding her hands up in defeat. " Maybe I will.. " she grumbled. This was not a good start of term feast.
"You know there are aloooot of people here right now so it's quite hard to maneuver. You might at least make a consideration for me hitting your foot." Dianna told the boy as politely as she can.
Ah. So they were for England. She would remember that for the next time they talked about quidditch, which would be after the feast and probably often with them. "Maybe they'll win next time." She'd have to do some research defiantly to keep up with him and Aaron.

Right. Right. Next time. He smiled, at least his best friend knew what to say about it. Perhaps not all is lost when it comes to Arya and Quidditch.
The boy only nodded. And got the feeling that his Co-Prefect was thinking the same thing about owling someone tonight. It was rather likely.
Well, he couldn't help overhear what she said to the Healer, and his smile got smaller. Was he the one to thank? Doubtfully, as far as he was concerned, then one to thank was the Sorting Hat, for giving them the best firsties ever. So, yeah, not him, really.
And certainly not with a much-too-excited-to-see-the-ship Noah.
But he couldn't comment...

...because Kurumi showed up.
And she was carrying cookies for everyone. Sigh. He didn't do cookies. But...why was she putting on sunglasses? Were her eyes sensitive to the light now? Odd, and he'll ask her about that as soon as she comes closer, if she does.
Treyen was on the right track, because she came closer to him, with a box! Oooooh, he soooo knew what was in there! Did he? "Kurumi! How are you?" he asked, and she'll probably tell him about the sunglasses, no? Either way, he took the box from her hands...and eyed it curiously, like the last time, "You...made me something again?" he seriously adored that Gryffindor. He didn't have to head to the kitchens tonight if he got extra hungry or anything.
The boy practically grinned after opening the box. HIS cupcake! Yeah! "Thank youuuuuu," he said, and got closer to give her a hug, a one arm hug, because he was still holding the opened box.
Then...he sort of froze. "I...didn't get you anything...," how awkward. And it was even more awkward because he mentioned it...unless...he smiled again, and then kissed her cheek. "Thank you." That was her gift.

Kurumi turned around to see Michael. Upon hearing what he said about her, her cheeks flushed and she brushed her bangs to the side. "Hello Michael, and all the new Hufflepuffs," she said waving to everyone shyly. "Not tonight I'm afraid," she laughed. "Maybe tomorrow though. Tonight I want to spend time in the common room and brush up on my class notes from last term."
SPOILER!!: Treyen! <3

Kurumi was glad that she had sunglasses on so that she could look Treyen in the face and not feel self conscious. Well, feel less self conscious than usual anyway. "I'm doing alright," she smiled as she adjusted the sunglasses that were just a little too big for her. "Very glad to be back at Hogwarts." Her cheeks flushed as he took the box. "How have you been? Good I hope?"
Her hands covered her mouth and her cheeks flushed an even deeper pink. Had she REALLY just said that out loud?
Her face turned an even deeper shade of pink when he put his arm around her. "I-I-I ba-ba-baked...things...in the oven...and put...pupkin spice...stuff...erm...frosting on them..." she stammered as her shoulders became a bit stiff out of being nervous.
"Y-Y-You don't need to get me anyth---" but she soon found herself unable to speak as Treyen gave her a quick, but sweet kiss on the cheek. Her hair instantly turned bubblegum pink and she jumped to the side, threw her hood over her head and pulled it tight. "Y-Y-Y-You're w-w-welcome..."

See? That was better. She looked the most beautiful when she smiled. Though, he already knew that, and he'd seen her cry, that one time when he was the one to cause it.
He nodded, once, and then smiled before answering her question, "I'm doing very good, especially now that I have a cupcake from Kurumi," he gestured towards the box, which he now closed. Wouldn't want anyone to take it from him, or for the cupcake to go flying around the Great Hall.
But why had she covered her mouth? She didn't say anything wrong...that he knows of.
Oh, man, he shouldn't have done that. She was stuttering now, though, he saw no reason for it to happen. Treyen understood nothing from what she said, "I know you bake, and you're amazingly good at it," just a couple more compliments, he felt slightly bad that he failed to get her a present. Arya was getting one from the World Cup, and so was Ellie. He should've thought of Kurumi.
Wait.
He saw THAT. "Wait, Kurumi...," he said, in case she wanted to hurry back to her table, "Your hair...," he frowned only a bit as he tried to come up with words before speaking again, "...it changed colors." But he had said it in a very soft and low tone, so, only Kurumi could hear that since he was sort of close to her. No eavesdroppers could've heard that.
"Do you know it does that?" he whispered, her actions told him she did.

Especially now that he had one of her cupcakes?! Kurumi had to hold her breath so as not squeak too loudly and embarrass herself further. Ug...just why did Treyen's smile have to be so sparkly and charming? Her sunglasses were only dimming it slightly, but the effects were still there.
Kurumi was just about to turn and rush back to the Gryffindor table when...gulp...he stopped her.
"W-W-What?" she asked swiveling around on her heels and putting on her best innocent face, but it probably looked more like she was wrinkling her nose at something. "Did it really?" she asked trying to laugh off the embarrassment, but not removing her hood.
She took a glance down at the tips of her hair and saw that they were still pink. Time to think about paint chipping...or...what was it her father had suggested? Thinking about ice because it cools the head faster?
It took a little, but her hair finally returned to its usual ebony and she was able to focus on Treyen's perfect smile.
"I do...my father is," she leaned in and lowered her voice. "...a metamorphagus. I've known I can do it for a long time...but only just knew why..."
And now she probably looked like a dork.

Good thing he called after her, otherwise he'd lost her right there.
Treyen gave her an incredulous look. She was NOT getting out of this, because he wasn't seeing things, well, not PINK things, anyway. He wasn't that hungry.
He was almost going to take off the hood just to prove his point, but decided against it. It wasn't a very nice thing to do, after all, and he could find ways to get his answers. So, he stood there, waiting to see if she made up her mind, because she was thinking, he could see that, and told him about it.
Okay. So, there! He wasn't seeing things, and her hair HAD changed colors.
The boy actually got just a liiiittle bit closer to hear her better, and smiled widely again, "Serious?" he couldn't even complete the question, "But that's amazing!" his tone was far from low this time around, but, trust him, he won't mention it around. It seemed Kurumi would rather keep it a secret and he kind of understood why.
"I won't mention it, by the way," the softer tone returned. Man, this was the best feast ever.
Thank you, but yes, he kind of knows the news was all over the Daily Prophet. That's why Treyen nodded, until...
....the first year was completely RIGHT.
That's why he chuckled next, the fifth year couldn't believe it, really, he was going to keep an eye out for this one. The firstie was a clever one, like, those that tend to get in trouble? Yeah, like those.
He didn't comment. Nope.
"We have windows, but the lake doesn't show in them," that's what he meant, "What have you heard from Hufflepuff, exactly?" it was a way for Treyen to know if the boy had had any relatives belonging in the House or something.
Oh? He had a very firm grip on his hand! Helloooooo new...Hufflepuff Beater?
Haha. "It's nice to meet you, Noah," he said, with a nod. But, of course, he was the nicest one, he was the one in Hufflepuff.
Flicking his reddish auburn hair out of his eyes, Noah looked thoughtful. "Maybe they'll let us on board or something. Or at least be able to get a closer look." Aka... swimming in the lake. Noah had a vivid mental illness of being underwater by the ship with velvet rope keeping people back.
"Ahh, that sucks." But oh well. He didn't necessarily have to see the ship ALLLLL the time. It was just cool.
Mwaha, what had he heard from Hufflepuff? Well... "Loads. Like, I know where the entrance is, what it looks like inside. A lot of the school, actually. My..." Who had told him? Memory fail, herpaderp "... grandad told me? I think. He had pictures as well so... yeah."
Was he supposed to know a lot? Meh. "Nice ta meet you tooooo, Treyen."
The energy was wearing off now, and Noah was shocked by how tired his body was getting already. Perhaps all the adrenaline?

"Treyen... who's that?" Noah asked in a hushed voice, looking at the prefect with a small amount of worry etched on his features. She was bigger than him (everyone was) and that was all he knew. He wouldn't have been able to explain why he was slightly worried... he just was. Kid instinct maybe.
He went on tug-tug-tugging Treyen's sleeve until he got an answer.

Kurumi was glad that she had put the sunglasses on before coming over to the Hufflepuff table instead of waiting. The gleam from Treyen's teeth was almost too brilliant even with them on.
Nodding sheepishly, she looked up at the Puff once again. "Thank you."
And she meant it.
Then, her eyes flicked towards his shinny new Prefect badge and her eyes widened.
"YOU!" she squeaked pointing at the badge. "You're a Prefect this term! Congratulations!"
Now he could put that smile to good use!

"Yeah," Luke a greed. "I'm sure both of us will meet lots of people before even the term is over." Because they were just awesome like that.

"Well, Luke, of course it's Maybelle Ozera." She said. "It's been like forever since I've seen you!" She said. She felt so excited that she just..wanted to...HUG HIM!! Maybelle laughed, he was just staring at her...it was a little weird. "Take a picture Luke, they last longer." She said sarcastically.

Isobel looked back and forth between Luke and Maybelle as she weighed their reactions to each other. "You two...know each other?" Obviously they did. Great. Absolutely perfect.
Isobel sent him a 'look.' Not a look, a 'look.' With the air quotes around it. That changed the meaning of look, and she was giving it to him. The 'look.'"Really?" She said. "Well I feel so bad for you." Another 'look.' "And how did this 'near-death-experience' happen?" She made finger-quotes when she said near death experience, because it deserved then.
"I was almost eaten by my minion army of flying monkeys. I'm going to conquer the Earth with them, you know." He said all this in a serious, matter-o-fact tone. Then, ignoring her 'look' he just nodded seriously, because it was all true.
"I know," Luke said to Maybelle with a big grin on his face. "It's been so long." Then, he couldn't help it, he gave Maybelle a hug, because she was just his best friend. "Unless you lose it," he said to her last comment, then he turned back to Isobel. "Yes, we know each other. We went to the same Wizarding school in California. She was my best friend. Still is, I guess." He may not be her best friend, but she was still his.

Of course she would. Though it was actually fun sometimes when pretty girls DIDN'T just let it slide, and instead attempted to use their FEMININE WILES on him to get the answers they were looking for. Jim usually intentionally held out at that point, preferring to watch the foot stomping, lip wibbling, pouting and huffing glory that was a girl!sulk.
Didn't work on him, he just found it hilarious.
"For now." He agreed, with a grin.

Ehhhhh.

Before she even realized that their Head of House was at the table, Michael was calling her over to them. "you didn't have to do that. I was planning on going to go see her after the feast, or tomorrow if it was still hurting." Well now that she was at the table, it couldn't hurt to have the nurse look at it.
"Let me see it anyway, I can tell you if you need to come down at all." Lily held out her hand, waiting for the girl to hold out her arm.

He'd say Hufflepuff only, but that'd be pretty biased.
See? Treyen had been so right about it. Any summer that included his name was awesome for everyone else. "Oh, mine was pretty good," he said, nodding, "Getting your letter was one of the best parts of it," he wouldn't deny it, "And the World Cup," and building the treehouse with Rae, and seeing Fletcher again.
It had been a perfectly good summer.
Lily laughed, "I picked out the most handsome owl for you." She still remembered the sad little boy who had come into her hospital worried that his face would be scarred forever. Lily had been sure that Treyen Lockhart would appreciate a handsome owl.
He had attended the World Cup as well? Everyone had, it seemed. Lily had stayed AWAY. "I can't say I was there, but my son did go."

"I'm sure it was a good group effort." Lily nodded. "I think you two make a good team, you've got the whole term to prove me wrong." She smiled at the girl, clearly teasing.

Katie said, not quite sure if he already knew that judging by the way he had reacted. Either that, or he still believed in cooties. "And I'm sure it was just an accident." Not that Simon wasn't adorable in his own way, it just tended to happen when seated at a very large, very full table.
"I remember that." Yes. Delilah had always been an early riser, and she had always been very "lets go bother Lily."
"Sisters can be good things, though. How old is she?"

"Hello there Mr. Wilkes." Lily smiled at the Ravenclaw, "I trust you had a nice summer?" Free of head injuries and the like?
Simon looked at Fee. "I'm Simon?" Simon sighed. "I thought I was Bugs Bunny." Simon sighed. "Well you learn something new everyday." Simon laughed and then remember someone. "I wonder where Professor Vindictus is?" Simon thought and then he laughed again. "Oh yeah he'll be at the Staff Table, I have a present for him." Simon said truthfully. "Do you think he would like a walking stick?" He thought he'd see what Fee thought. "I saw one in Diagon Alley and so I brought him it, now I just need to find the right time to give him it."
Ohh he was Bugs Bunny? Now that was more than cool. The blonde couldnt take iot anymore, she started laughing loud.Simon was being so obnoxious right now,in a good way of course.Hehe."Oh well then i am Sailor Moon",she nodded trying to keep a straight face.Awww he had goten a present for Professor Vindictus? Now that was really nice of him."Mhhh.. why dont you go and visit him at his office tomorrow before classes start?",the girl suggested.Sounded like a good idea, huh?!

He took the time to look around the Great Hall and take in its full splendor. There was no ceiling and candles were floating in mid-air. Were their other crazy places like this all around Hogwarts? "Yeah this place is...is...um, I guess there is no other way to put it but MAGICAL." When Jory introduced Daisey He had to lean forward a bit to see across Jory."Hi there Daisy." He put on a rather nice smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you." When Oakey finished introducing himself he looked down and noticed he had put his scarred hand in his potato salad.
Jory noticed Oakey's hand in the potato salad and began laughing again. He wondered if all the people here were funny when it came to food.
"So,Oakey are you trying out for the House Quidditch team? Have you flown before?" Jory asked after he had finished laughing.
Jory was happy to have a boy his age and in his house as his friend. And he wondered why there were hardly any other first years in Hufflepuff.

'You'll enjoy flying, I don't know anyone who doesn't , the first broom ride is usually the best, except mine, where I fell from quite high....' she smiled reminiscently at the memory of it.' I'm not looking forward to astronomy much though... It sounds kinda boring and I will probably fall asleep,' she laughed. 'What about you, Is there anything you don't like the sound of?'
Jory had never heard of a girl being a Beater before but he was sure Daisy would make a fine one.
"Did you break anything from that fall?" he asked. He had broken his foot once and had no desire to break anything more.
"But Astronomy is late in the night. It should be fun. But if you fall asleep I'll poke you awake," Jory told Daisy. "I like the sound of everything and I'm looking foward to everything. I hope you make the team. Can't wait to see you take a swing at the other teams."

'Thank you.' she answered, with unmasked pride, beaming. 'I hope so, I'll come by the kitchens to steal some food so we could meet easily.' she joked. 'Your common room is next to the kitchens, right?' she asked for confirmation.
'I love the ceiling too, but I love watching the staff table as well. I can't wait to meet those Professors up there.' the girl chuckled. 'Of course! I can't wait! We should start this weekend, I'm sure we'll have plenty other things to do during the week.' she suggested.
"Yes right next to the kitcehns," Jory told her. "I can't wait to meet the House elves. They fascinate me."
Jory looked toward the staff table. He had not met any of the staff yet.
"Have you met any of the staff yet, Ari?"
He felt excitement creep up on him again.
"Definitely! Because I'm sure we'll get loads on homework.|

"Oakey!" said Nessie excited for the feast and to meet all her fellow house mates.
Oakey noticed Nessie saying hello to him. and turned around to greet her as well but she wasn't there. He turned around and took a bite out of his potato salad. He heard another hello to him closer so close actually it surprised him a bit and he spat his salad back onto his plate. He turned around once more wiping some of the salad still drooping from his face. "HI NESSIE!" Oakey was ecstatic that she made it into the same house as he did. "We're in the same house! This day is getting much better than it started!" Oakey thought back to the start of the day when he learned his foster father had been critically injured during his first Quidditch game due to some rogue bludgers being sent out onto the field.

"Oh Geeze! Sorry, sorry." Oakey didn't mean to throw his potato salad on Jory's face, Jory didn't seem to care though he was clearly laughing his head off and continued to ask him about Quidditch. "I don't really have a preference for what position but I think I'm best at either Chaser, Beater, or Seeker."
