What was this? She was the first one here? Kita turned on the spot and looked around her. Ok. This was definitely weird. Kita was usually the one running into the Great Hall and squeezing in between two people just to try and get a spot near her friends. And now she was the one who was early with plenty of room to spare.

Maybe someone was up to something...

Shrugging, Kita walked towards the middle of the table and sat down. Right... only thing to do was to pray and hope that someone would come and sit next to her. Because company is nice. Always.

YES. HOME. WHERE THERE WOULD BE FOOD.

Anakin was one happy camper right now, and it showed in the fact that he practically raced to the Hufflepuff House table, plopping down at a seat and hungrily eying the food, smacking his lips in anticipation. Food. Besides his friends, Vash and Seb in particular, Hogwarts House Elf food was what he missed most about the school. He loved his Da, dearly, but the man couldn't cook to save his, or Anakin's, LIFE.

But them house elves knew where it was AT. Settling himself down, Ani looked from the empty plates at the table, to the gathering students, to the head table where the Staff was perched.

He was so ready to start the term.

Jaymie had just been sorted and she was superdeeduperexcited! She had gotten Hufflepuff! Now she was in the same house as her sister; and she was happy. But, sadly, she had not gotten the same house as Nika, or Jake. But she was still superdeeduerexcited! Nothing could bring her down at that moment. She skipped merrily over to the Huffepuff table and looked around. The people she saw her older than her, and people older than her made her nervous. Jaymie smiled at them anyway. "H-hi," she said shyly.

Anakin's attention was drawn to a young girl, presumably a first year, who made her way to the Hufflepuff table and plopped down. He watched her for a second, before seeing her shyly smile at them and stutter out a small 'hi'. Anakin grinned, giving a tiny wave. "'Ello, welcome to Hufflepuff!"

It was kind of nice not being a noob, he'd had a year to get into the swings of things. And this year, he was determined to be more social than he had been in years past. Starting NOW.

Jaymie smiled shyly at the older person. "Th-Thank you," she said. Normally, she was a very...talkative person. Or maybe hyper was a better word. Anyone you asked would say that. People older than her made her nervous though. "My name is Jaymie," she said shyly.

Anakin could tell the younger student was nervous enough as it was, and he did his best not to let his gaze linger too long, though he had to let his eyes dart back on occassion in the case of her trying to speak more to him. Sometimes, he thought it would just be easier to walk around with a sign declaring his problem, then he wouldn't have to work so hard with new people. But whatever.

Spotting her mouth move, forming words, Anakin turned his gaze once again towards her, deciding it was a normal and alright time to do so, besides. If he didn't he'd completely miss her side of the conversation. "Your quite welcome." It was weird to think last year, to a certain extent, that had been him. Offering his hand across the table to the girl, Ani nodded. "Pleasure Jaymie. I'm Anakin. Excited to be starting your first year?"

Violet walked back towards the Hufflepuff table smiling brightly as always as she gracefully strutted in her light grey Mary Janes. Her violet eyes ran over every person who was already there, some people she knew others she didn't but wouldn't mind at all meeting. Violet couldn't believe that she was already starting her second year at Hogwarts, and she also couldn't believe that she was now twelve years old now, it was all so surreal to her. She made sure her yellow bow hadn't shifted at all since she put on her school robes. Violet smiled again at her fellow Hufflepuffs and gave them a light wave and saying brightly,"Hello Hufflepuffs!" She then gently sat down on the bench and crossed her legs sitting properly and somewhat mature like. Violet continued looking around at all of the familiar and unfamiliar faces filing in and around the Great Hall.

Jaymie smiled shyly. She shook the hand he offered her. "Nice to meet you Anakin," she said. She nodded. "Yes, I am. Very excited." She smiled, her face glowing with excitement. "What year are you in?"

Jaymie looked over and saw a girl who looked to be about her age. She breathed a sigh of relief; she wouldn't have to be so nervous talking to people so much older than her anymore. "Hello," she said cheerfully. "My name is Jaymie Newman. I'm a first year."

Cassie strut her way into the great hall, yes strut like she owned the place because whether the rest of Hogwarts wanted to accept it or not she claimed Hufflepuff as hers and all the little darlings as well. That's right firsties, mama puff was here to instruct on how to be pretty little huffies, forget the hard work and toil huffies were gorgeous.

Hair flip more strut.

Her uniform skirt swished as she made her way to the huffie table and sat snuggled next to no one in particular. She always liked to leave space next to her for whomever wanted to sit and say hi.

Chewing the last bit of chocolate in her mouth, Ophelia clapped her hands together in excitement. Another year at Hogwarts. Another year full of mishaps, adventures, crazy schemes, and fun times with Lulu. She didn’t care what Lulu had to say, Hufflepuffs were of amazing character and merit. Ophelia made a mental note to remind Lulu of this when she saw her later. The Enchanted Ceiling was always a marvel, and Ophelia stared, entranced at its wonders, while she sat down, feet just touching the ground.

“Oh, this is terribly exciting,” she gushed slate-blue eyes taking in the food. What should she eat first? Oh, this was always the hardest part. A small frown set on her face as she tapped a finger to her chin. Her dark brows were knitted together, mirroring the frustration that was already evident on her lips. She took a sip of her Pumpkin Juice, wondering what to do. At least she’d be able think clearly once she’d had a bit of juice. Yes.

“Life is dreadfully difficult,” she announced dramatically to her fellow housemates. She hoped that she’d be able to come to a conclusive decision soon; she was starved.

Isobel happily skipped walked over to the Hufflepuff table. It was her table, the special one where she belonged. It was proven by a badge on her robes that read' Quidditch Captain.' She would go and converse with her friends from other houses later, but right now she was perfectly happy at her table. She sat down by her sister and saw her already talking to some people. "Hey Jaymie," she said with a grin. "Congrats on getting the best house." She smiled at her sister before turning to the other people at the table. "Hello," she said. "My name is Isobel VonHue. Fourth year." They knew she was Hufflepuff, so she didn't have to say it.

Belle saw someone else having the same problem as she always had. "Its hard to pick one food right? I have the same issue." she said friendly and giggled. "I'm Belle by the way." she held her hand out.


Belle saw the girl she met on the train. "Hmm maybe i should go say hello." Hopefully she remembered her. "Hi Kita, im Belle we met on the train." she said timidly. "Can i join you?" she asked.

Bleu walked into the Great Hall humming. She was in a great mood and so happy to be back. She headed directly to the Hufflepuff table and sat near a group of people. The Great Hall hadn't filled up yet, but she knew it would be buzzing with voices soon enough. It was so great to be back. She was finally a Fifth year!!

She happily sat alone, fiddling with her silverware, wondering if she would get to meet some new friends today.

Jaymie grinned as Isobel came and sat by her. "I'm so glad I'm finally at Hogwarts." She said, very fastly, to her sister. "I hope the Headmaster makes his speech soon so we can eat." She wanted cupcakes.

Jaymie looked up as a LOT of people were coming to the table. "Hello," she said to anyone in the vicinity. "My name is Jaymie and I'm a first year."

Violet jumped a little hearing the sound of a very cute voice but wasn't sure where it came from until she turned to see the voice come from an adorable first year! She smiled and covered her mouth a little and then waved at the girl who introduced herself as Jaymie Newman. Violet uncovered her mouth and then smiled again saying,"How lovely to meet you Jaymie Newman, my name's Violet Le Veela, and I'm a second year at the wonderful Hogwarts! Violet smiled sweetly before she went on,"And don't stress at all about being a first year, it's no big deal, and I've learned quite a lot of good advice last term that I would be more than happy to help you with if you're ever in a dilemma!" Violet smiled sweetly again.

This girl seemed talkative. But that was quite alright with Jaymie; she was very talkative herself. "Nice to meet you Violet," she said. "I know someone else names Violet. She goes to Beaubaxtons and she was my sister's best friend. But now my sister goes to Hogwarts." Nod, nod, nod. "So, are you a second year?" She hoped she was, because it would be embarrassing if she had guessed wrong, and she was older.

Frown dissipating, Ophelia averted her attention to the girl near her. Eyes widening, she nodded enthusiastically. “It’s such a difficult choice, I’m always afraid I’ll regret my decision. And then—and then!—what if I wanted to have ham instead of chicken. THEN what?” She planted her elbow onto the table, leaning her round face against her hand. Sighing, Ophelia felt that having to choose from so much food was injustice. She would have to find a way to get over this.

“Belle, what a lovely name,” she smiled at the younger girl. Ophelia used the hand that she was leaning on to shake her hand. “My name’s Ophelia. Ophelia Henry.” Because it was polite to tell your new acquaintances your first and last name. “I think, I’ll go with some potatoes first.” Potatoes, yes. Then the meat. And then bread? Oh no. Not again. Biting down on her lower lip, she blew out a bit of air, wishing that her other friends were in Hufflepuff. It would make the decision process so much easier. They’d tell her what to do.

“I’m surprised we’ve never run into each other, Belle.”

*Walking down the table Matty smiled sitting down. Finally back at Hogwarts he looked around for some of his friends as he filled up a plate. He was a little worried about Marie, he hadn't seen her on the train but then again he tried to make it look like he wasn't looking. Matty knew that she was probably with Finn. That thought always felt like a knife in his side. For months he just pushed back the whole situation trying to not think about it. But it was starting to become to much. The first thing he would do when he saw her was have a long talk with Marie.*

Violet then said a little apologetically,"Oh, I am so sorry about talking so much, I tend to do that a lot, ask any of my friends." She smiled and then said,"Oh how intriguing, my aunt is a professor at Beaubaxtons and and cousins go there too! And yes, I am a second year and I'm so happy to be back!"

Violet turned her head seeing Matty sitting down at the table by himself. She remembered last term when she had accidently tripped and spilled all of his books in the Hufflepuff Common Room, not one of Vi's best moments let's just say, but thankfully he wasn't mad at all. Violet then gave him a light wave with a bright smile saying,"Hi Matty!"

Anakin smiled at the young girl, giving her hand a quick shake before adding an agreeing nod. "You as well Miss Jaymie." Removing his eyes from her face for a second, he scanned the table, as if hoping food had magically, [heh], appeared while he'd been speaking, but of course it wasn't meant to be yet. The Headmaster still had yet to speak, and the feast never started until that was over and done with.

Glancing back up, trying to ignore the rather monstrous rumbling from his stomach, in which he could only guess was making a noise as well, Anakin nodded. "Well good then! And I hope your not disappointed in your house." He knew sometimes people were, and it was perfectly normal. They'd grow to love it. Heh? His year? "I'm a 5th year." Big scary 5th year who had to take the big scary OWL's. The thought made Anakin want to SOB.

Spotting someone else come in to the Great Hall and make their way to the Hufflepuff table, Anakin turned his head slightly to see who it was. Giving a small smile and a little snort at the familiar face. Well, familiar through alternate twitter world. Cassie, his 'self confidence buddy'. Lifting his hand, Anakin gave a small wave in her direction.

It had happened! Tara looked around her. She saw, but couldn't be sure that she got into Hufflepuff! Tara was so excited.She sat down at the table ready to see new people.Tara was scared that she would be a lonely person and nobody would like her.

Jaymie grinned. "It doesn't bother me. Everyone tells me I talk too much too, but I don't really pay attention to them." She shrugged. "Cool," she said. "I've always wanted to see Beaubaxtons. My mom said I could go to Beaubaxtons if I wanted, but I wanted to go to Hogwarts more." Because Hogwarts was more awesome.


Jaymie blushed without knowing she did when he called her 'Miss.' Please, she was only a first year. Fifth year? "My brother is a fifth year," she managed to say. She didn't know what else to say; he still made her nervous.

Jaymie saw another person join the table. One who looked as young and excited as her. Maybe she was a first year! Jaymie really wanted to meet a first year hufflepuff; all the first years she had met before had all been sorted in to other houses.

Isobel happened to hear part of a conversation her sister was having with another girl. And...her name was Violet? "Hello," she said. "My name is Isobel; I'm Jaymie's sister." *cough*and Quidditch Captain*cough*

As Cassie scanned the faces seated at the table, she spotted a few nervous looking first years, who she was planning to recruit into her little puffy fashion club and a few older students who were not so familiar. She eyed up the fresh fruits and salad in front of her and decided that it would be better to indulge in healthy eating instead of eating all the heavy food and going to bed then waking up three pounds fatter the next day.She looked to the other side of the table and spotted Anakin then waved excitedly to him. What, she was excited about being back, it was going to be a good year, she could feel it already.
"Hey Anakin!"


Cassie spotted a cute little Puff and waved to her."hey little one, you are soo cute. I like your hair." She said beaming at her. It was always good to try and crack the little ones out of their shells from early so that they would blossom into beautiful social butterflies
