Jory made his way into his common room. He was very full and tired after dinner.
He was now in awe of the beautiful Hufflepuff common room filled with chattering people who apparently had just come up from dinner.

He made his way to an armchair while looking around for Oakey and Daisy.

Oakey saw Jory sitting by himself amongst the party that happening. Jory? What are you sittin by yourself for? Oakey, still smelling like butter beer (not because he drank to much of it but because he was covered in it) grabbed his arm and pulled him into the crowd of people. Make some friends. Isn't that what bein a Hufflepuff's all about?

"Well thats good!" said Nessie imiediately realising he was lying. "So erm.. How is your dad?" Nessie had forgotten to ask him over the past few days how his dad's try out was. So she thought now was the perfect opportunity. She then saw that Oakey was looking at his scar. He had better get the school nurse to see it as soon as possible, but Nessie didn't want to rush him. "So when are you planing to get that checked out?" she said looking at the wierd shaped scar.

"Thanks" said Nessie smiling "I love butter beer. Im Renesmee by the way but you can call me Ness or Nessie." said Nessie trying to smile again. When she was little she always used to drink butter beer to make her feel better, but it wasn't really helping at the moment. At least every one was very kind in Hufflepuff thought Nessie thinking how bad this could have been if she was being bullied or left out.

Ronnie having be ignored by that boy decided it was best to go about her own business. As in move 4 chairs down and pull out a book. She loved to read muggle books. Her mother gave them to her all the time. Maybe in hopes that it would get rid of the magic in her? Or maybe it was her step-dad's idea. Who knows.

She sighed and began to read 'Where the Red Fern Grows' She had read it before and it was sad, but she loved this book and was reading it again. The little boy in the story and just gotten Old Dan and Little Ann. This was her favorite part.

No probs she grinned from the sofa, sipping away at her butterbeer, she snorted, we're all clumsy, thats why we're Puffs, but unlucky? You are in Hufflepuff, you can't be that unlucky, she grinned, I'm Amy, the resident dinosaur, she grinned, cuz dinosaurs are epic she nodded knowingly

'Oakey, Jory!!' said Daisy, bounding over through the crowd to them. 'How are you guys?' she smiled, popping open a butterbeer and taking a big swig, which caused her to get it all over her face, just like Oakey. 'Hey, we're butterbeer smelling twins!!' Daisy grinned hyperly, she had been in a good mood after flying practice and had eaten some sweets later in the day, which had made her quite hyper.

Belle look around and noticed they had butterbeer in the common room. She gladly took some and started welcoming the new huffflepuffs. I mean she was one last year why not give them some tips.

Izzie was a little worried when Mikey pulled out his wand and pointed it at her, but as soon as he said the spell she smiled up at the older boy. Well isn't he just so sweet she thought to herself. too bad he's not in my year, it would be nice to make friends with someone as nice as him. "Thank you" she said as she accepted the butter beer from him. "Where are you from Mikey? Can you teach me that spell? Is it Flah-grayte or Flag-rate?" She took a sip of her butter beer as she waited for the older boy to realize that she was speaking to him.

I'm gonna take care of everything as soon as I'm all settled in. He avoided her question about his foster father. He really shouldn't lie to her, but the subject of Harvey was a touchy one at the moment.

He smiled at her comment about being in hufflepuff, she was right he did make it into Hufflepuff without any problems. Not being related to Harvey's father didn't stop the sorting hat from putting him the house he belonged to. His mind wandered a bit when he began to think about Harvey...Wait! Did I hear you right? You just called yourself a Dinosaur.

Daisy seemed different. A little more hyper actually. Oakey was fine with this crazy people tons more fun to be around. haha! Oakey laughed. I guess we are, Oakey decided to take the rest of his butter beer and poured it on Jory. And Now we're triplets!

Yeap she nodded, grinning I am, see rawwwrr she grinned doing her best dino impression, she laughed taking another sip. Cuz she was just epic. Her humour was hardly sofisticated. In fact it was REALLY dumb. Really. Really. Really dumb. With a capital D

"Oh. Well let me know when your gonna go so I can come with you." said Nessie wanting to be a good friend to atleast one person. She thought she was a really bad friend. It was all her fault that the last time she saw her best friend they were fighting. Nessie felt a tear forming but wiped her eye before any bosdy could see. Luckily no one did as Oakey seemed to be busy speaking to other people. She thought she'd maybe go to bed before she would start to cry in front of everyone which would be pretty embarresing. "Erm.. I think i'm gonna go to bed." said Nessie in a soft voice not to give anything away.

With that was going on Oakey still managed to catch Nessie shed a tear. Nessie, he said. Now's not the time to cry, I think you should take this time to get to know your fellow housemates. Oakey decided to give a silly threat, if you don't, they've got plenty more butter beer and I won't hesitate to do what I did to Jory. Oakey smiled reaching for another butter beer.

"I know but I can't stop thinking about her. I was such a bad friend." said Nessie trying to cheer herself up. Though it wasn't very easy. She kept on trying to tell herself that her best friend was in a better place, but it didn't really hepled. "I'm just warning you if you do that I will seriously not be very happy." said Nessie hoping he wouldn't as she a bit of a clean freak.

Uhuh. That made...no sense to her mind right now, maybe she would understand it better in the morning. But she appreciated the thought of him trying to cheer her up though. She have him a smile before taking a drink of butterbeer. Man she was tired; Isobel wanted to go to bed. But she also didn't, she wanted to stay and watch the celebration of starting a new term.

Isobel smiled at Maybelle; maybe she wasn't so bad. "Are you going to sign up?" She asked. Maybe the girl had hidden talent of Quidditch-playing. Or maybe she had no talent whatsoever and that was why she had never signed up.

Maybelle looked at Mikey, then just rolled her eyes. "I don't know..maybe I'll get sick of people calling me JUST Maybelle." She said. Laughing she walked over to sit in between Isobel and Mikey. Then she hit his arm, but not enough to do any damage. "Eh..doesn't matter if you're kidding or not." Maybelle said, smiling.

Maybelle looked at Isobel. "I don't know...maybe...but I might not be very good..." She replied. She didn't really have control..but maybe that's what practices are about. "I think I'll try..." Maybelle said..hesitating at first, but then feeling slightly proud. Isobel wasn't really as bad as Maybelle thought.

Oakey decided to leave Nessie be, she got mad pretty quick and said she wanted to go to bed. So Oakey made his way through the party and found Michael yelling loudly something about being number 8 and Quidditch or something. What's up with him? Oakey asked the girl next to him. Does he want to be a reserve that badly? He looked up at the girl he was talking to and saw the Quidditch Captain pin she was wearing. He was surprised that he had just randomly started talking to the girl who will decide his fate at being picked for the Quidditch team. Should he kiss-up to her, or just play it out normally. He really wanted to play Quidditch.

Isobel shrugged. "You never know if you're good or not until you try out." Or take a class. If you can't even fly in flying class, then you should not try out for Quidditch. But she didn't know if Maybelle had gone to a flying class or not.

Isobel looked over when she head another voice talking to her. Her reactions were kind of slow at the moment; she was really tired. She managed to give the boy a smile. "He's giving a speech about there being 7 people on the team, but actually 8 because everyone else loves us." Okay, so that's not what he said, and probably far from what he meant, but that's what she had gotten out of it with her tired mind. "Well, that's not exactly what he meant, but close enough." Then she realized that she hadn't introduced herself. "My name's Isobel by the way. Third year." Yeah yeah yeah, he knew she was a Hufflepuff.

Isobel, I'm Oakey. It's nice to meet you. Oakey just kept making friend after friend on the first night here at Hogwarts, this place was amazing. He would probably make more sense if he was thinking more and partying less. He seems like a ton of fun though. He gave Isobel a nice smile. I need to clean up. I'm covered in Butter Beer, and I feel a little sticky. He took one step and slipped on some Butter Beer spilt on the floor and landed right on his back.

"Ouch! Are you okay?" Janice got up and offered a boy, who slipped on some sticky liquid on the floor and fell right in front of her, some help. She was just heading downstairs, to the common room, for a bit of reading.

Xandi walked into the common room, it was filled with the noise of students chatting away with each other. She found a chair near the fire place and looked around. . . nope she didnt recognise anyone here, oh well, one of her friends would come in sooner or later. For now she pulled a book on dragons out of her bag and flicked to the egg handleing section like that Gryffindor girl Emily had recommended.

"Nice to meet you Oakey," Isobel said with a smile. She have him a guilty grin. "He'd probably make more sense to me if I wasn't so tired." When he slipped she held out a hand. "Need some help?" Hopefully she wouldn't fall too when he tried to pull himself up, her muscles were tired too.

It's fine, I can get up on my own. Oakey stood up and brushed his back off a bit. This kind of stuff happens to me all the time, I'm used to it. He was covered to toe in butter beer now. Despite how much fun he was having getting hit twice with the drink then slipping on it, that falls under bad luck. I don't think I caught your name , he turned to the one girl who offered him help. I'm Oakey. He looked back at Isobel, if she saw that he put his name on the list she surely wouldn't choose him for the team now. He just openly admitted to being clumsy all the time. He needed to save himself and fast if he ever had a chance at becoming a Quidditch player like Harvey was.

Isobel gave him a small, totally not amused, smile. "I'm clumsy too," she told him. Like, she ran in to stuff a lot. Like tables and chairs and stuff like that. She tried to think of a spell that might help him get dried off, so he wasn't covered in butterbeer, but she couldn't think of one at the moment.

I think I'll just call it a night he said, to much excitement for one day, and I've got a lot to do for tomorrow. It was great meeting you Isobel. as he walked towards the boys dorm he slipped on the same puddle but caught himself half way. He looked back, I'm fine. I'm just kind of unlucky.

Isobel smiled and waved as he went to his dormitory. "Bye," she said. And then he almost slipped again. This time she turned around, so he wouldn't think she was laughing at him, because she wasn't. She was just kind of amused.

At that moment Isobel realized how tired she was. She set her butterbeer down on a small end table and stood up. "'Night Mikey and Maybelle," she said, since they were the only ones she was talking to. Then she made her way to her dormitory.
