Welcome to your home away from home! Your common room is your sanctuary. The wide, open room is designed around the fireplace, which sits in the very middle, and will more than likely be your favorite place on cold winter nights.
Flanking off and into the rest of the room, clusters of plush chairs are situated, some in groups of four, some in groups of two, there are also comfortable large couches that might swallow you up, if you're not careful. The decor is, of course, Hufflepuff house colors.
A large solid wood table is set up to the far side of the room, the perfect place to study, and should you find yourself in need of inspiration, portraits of memorable Hufflepuffs such as Nymphadora Tonks, Cedric Diggory, and the Fat Friar line the walls around you.
Opposite, you will find two tunnels, each going a different way, to the right the tunnel will lead you to the boy's dorms, and to the left, the girl's dorms.

Well can't disagree with that, they were definitely cool. Almost as cool as bowties. Almost. Then being pulled up by Amy, she decided it was her turn to drag Amy to the kitchens and so she did. "We're like food zombies. Instead of brains we want food." Yep. Sammy was back. Talking about food and zombies, definitely back to normal.

Kita felt... odd. After all, it's not like she spent time in the common room. She usually stayed in the sanctuary of her dorm or the grounds. The only time she actually stayed in the common room for more than a minute or so were the times when she got kicked out of the library and needed to stay up to do her homework.
So now she was sitting in the common room with nothing to do. This was just great, wasn't it(?)
The brunette stood up and rummaged in her robes. They had to be here somewhere... Her long fingers finally found what she was looking for and she drew out a handful of chocolate frogs. A smile broke over her face as she slumped back down on her armchair. She picked out one packet of chocolate frogs and threw the others on the table. She didn't even care if anyone came up to her and decided to help themselves. This was her time to relax, something she hadn't had in a very long time.
Simon couldn't believe it was getting so close to the Championship Game and even though this would be his third one he was nervous, in his first year they had won the Quidditch Cup and then last year they had come second and he was still sad about that because he had hoped they would win for Jake who had left.
Simon walked into the common room he decided it was time to relax so that he was ready for the match, he knew it was still a bit away so he had time, he was about to sit down next to this girl when he realised it was Kita.
Simon looked at Kita and then moved well away from her, he hadn' forgiven her for the punch in the great hall a couple of days ago and since he wanted to look his best for the Quidditch Match he had decided sit away from her was the best course of action.
Sorry. Yeah. Treyen nodded once, when he spoke, and then eyed his very short exchange of words with Maybelle.
Truth be told, he didn't need to clean it up, but it'll be greatly appreciated by the house-elves. Plus, it was fairly obvious that Treyen wouldn't have to hear any sort of complain from them, or be asked if he knew how the Common Room got into this mess in the first place. That'd be awkward, and may dock off some points from Damien or get him detention.
He wasn't sure. And he seriously didn't want Damien to get in trouble.
Treyen was picking up a chair, because HE was going to help out, when he heard a question meant for him. The chair was put in place. And as soon as he turned to look at Damien, he noticed the look on his eyes. Not good. Something was up, not that he didn't know something was up already. "Of course, no problem," he nodded, but..."Do you want us to head some place else?" because the Common Room was quiet enough, except for Maybelle, who was still there.
Damien stood frozen on the spot for a moment, before getting ahold of himself to straighted up the table, he'd knocked over. His book was splattered on the floor, and it appeared that one of the pages had ripped out. He made a mental note to try and repair it before bringing it back to the library -- no doubt he'd get in trouble for that. He was sure he'd get in trouble for what he'd just done, but it appeared as if Treyen wasn't going to incriminate him -- yet.
He was thankful that Lockhart agreed to speak with him. He needed someone to talk to, and the only other person he felt he could ever talk to -- had just broken his heart.
Figuring if anyone saw his tempertantrum just now, the rest of the Hufflepuffs would steer clear of him, so Damien shook his head. "We don't need to go anywhere else," he said, voice soft spoken and the complete opposite of how he'd just yelled. Since the furniture were upright in their original position, Damien picked up his book (there was a page that had ripped) and set it down on the table before sitting down in one of the chairs.
He didn't want to make eye contact with Treyen -- Damien was embarassed by his actions and still wasn't sure if the Prefect still thought well of him. So he kept his eyes on the book, folding his hands ontop of the table. "How well do you trust people, Treyen?" he finally asked.
Not the most direct question perhaps. To Damien, however, it was the perfect lead in to explain how he was feeling at the moment.

Charlie swaggered walked up to a brunette chillin' in one of the comfy chairs in the Huffie's common room. Flopping into a chair nearby, the blonde eyed the pile of chocolate frogs sitting on the table nearby. Her eyes flicked up to the fellow Huffelpuff and back down. It's been ages since she's had a chocolate frogs. Yumm.

Not the most direct question perhaps. To Damien, however, it was the perfect lead in to explain how he was feeling at the moment.
Well, Damien had spoken the truth, because soon enough, and amazingly fast, the furniture was back in place, well, the ones that were on his side, since Treyen helped with the ones on his. There. House-elves should be proud, as long as they don't give Treyen a broom to clean up, then all was well.
Oh. Good. "Okay," he said, when Damien had said that they could stay here. Not that Treyen had anything planned for the rest of the day, after all, OWLs were finally over, and so were him and Ellie.
Did he need help with that book, by the way? He could repair it, a simple 'Reparo' would do, no?
But Treyen cared very little for the book, and he soon joined Damien in a chair next to his, eyes on the boy, not the book. "I don't exactly know what you mean," he truly didn't, "I...kind of always think the best of them, until proven wrong," which meant...that if Ellie thought the same way, then her image of Treyen was completely broken and altered to some unrecognizable Treyen.
That hurt.
But they were talking about Damien now. "Why do you ask?"
Bella wiped the tear off of her face "Thanks." She got up from the couch and walk over to watch the fire and ture around and look at Siobian. "I think we should get her back. I dont care she can beat us we got to try something that she never did on anybody" She walk back to the couch and set down.
Siobian looked out the window, "Hey, it's Maybelle!" Siobian smiled as her owl flew back in the window, "She has a letter from Hayley! Siobian jumped up. Dear Siobian,
I'm so sorry to hear of the trouble Vanessa's giving you, I don't have any idea how she got back into the school, after all she graduated five years ago. But her weakness, when it comes to spells, we all know Vanessa's on top, so my best bet would be a charm, give her a necklece with some kind of curse on it. I promise if it's something she likes she'll take it without a second thought! Her favorite colors are her old house colors, so obviously gold and red.
Best of luck cuz!

"There's our answer!" Siobian turned to Bella with a new fight in her, "So, let's get started!" Her eyes sparkled with a new spark of hope.

But they were talking about Damien now. "Why do you ask?"
Damien ran his hand through his hair, glad to have Treyen sitting next to him. "I'm sure you've figured out that I'm mostly a 'keep-to-myself kind of guy," he said. "Takes a lot for me to actually talk to anyone, let alone open myself up."
He felt stupid for talking like his. He'd never had a conversation like this with anyone. Even his Aunt, the person who'd cared for him since Damien could remember. It made him feel vulnerable and exposed. But Lockhart was a good guy -- and Damien believed he wouldn't think any less for wanting to open up.
"I opened myself up to someone," he began again after a short pause. "Turns out that she -- chose someone else."
"Not that I'm upset about that part," he added quickly. Damien wasn't about to admit he was upset over a girl who was only a friend to him.
"It's just -- I was finally starting to be completely honest with someone. Only to find out that she'd rather open up to someone else ..."
It didn't even make sense in his mind when he said it aloud -- so what made him think Treyen would understand?

It didn't even make sense in his mind when he said it aloud -- so what made him think Treyen would understand?
As Damien spoke, Treyen wanted to chuckle and say 'Yeah', but the situation didn't call for something like that. "Yes," he nodded, all serious, and he liked that about Damien, because whilst Treyen could have deep and even philosophical conversations, it felt good to just talk about the weather sometimes.
Not that he ever talked about the weather with Damien, though.
He made no comment and leaned on the chair as he kept on listening. So, Damien opened up to someone...probably a girl, right? Yes, a girl. Okay. Treyen wasn't even thinking about who the girl might be, because now Damien was opening up to him, and that was a big deal for the boy next to him.
Maybe he wasn't thinking about who the girl might be, because there was only one on his mind.
"But that's a risk you have to take," certainly one that Treyen knew just how awful the consequences of opening up to someone might be. "Yet I do think you care a lot for her," sort of like Arya had thought Treyen liked Ellie even before he knew. However, he wasn't saying that Damien liked this girl, simply that he cared for her. "The choosing part did upset you, otherwise you would be fine," and their Common Room would have never suffered.
Of course opening up to anyone is a risk. And up until this point, Damien wouldn't have cared either way if he'd made some friends at Hogwarts or not. Though he was extremely greatful to have Lockhart sitting next to him. With no father growing up, uncle or boys his age to play with, it was something all new for Damien. And he appreciated Treyen for all his efforts.
Cared for her? For Isobel? Well of course he cared for her. "She's a good friend," he said. "And yes -- I do care for her. Because she's my friend." Nice, Damien. Keep saying friend and maybe you'll convince yourself. But Isobel was his friend, and he liked having her around -- So what?
"She chose to," he began again before taking a slight pause, "Decided on another guy, I guess --" It left a bad taste in his mouth to even say it. And that was the part that bothered Damien the most. That Isobel had been with another guy. Perhaps it wouldn't have meant so much if she'd opened up to one of her best girl friends.

The fact that it was another guy, however --
Ah. If Arya was here right now, she'd probably say the same thing he'd told Treyen last year. Which is why Treyen had a small smile on his face. Hopefully, Damien won't get the wrong idea.
He decided on speaking, just in case, "Have you considered that perhaps you care more for her than any other girl?" he didn't want to say the word. Clearly. Of course, Treyen had been denying his own feelings for quite some time, and couldn't Damien be doing the exact same thing?
Surely, they were different, Damien was the quiet type, and Treyen wasn't. All the Prefect lacked was confidence, in regards to girls.
"It sounds like you like her, though," yes, it was best to say it straight than going around it, anyway.
Questioning Lockhart, Damien gave him a raised eyebrow. "I don't know many girls, Trey," he replied. In fact he could count on one hand the girls he talked to at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. A wopping two. That, however didn't include the ones he'd met in passing; Maybelle for example. But there were only two he'd managed to carry on meaningful conversations with. The fun, carefree and innocent Ness -- and Isobel.
He cleared his throat. "Of course I like her," he added. "And even if the possibility were there for me to care more for her," (not admitting that) "The fact remains that I've seen her with someone else. Another guy."
Damien was suddenly aware that Lockhart knew Isobel. They were both on the Quidditch team. No names had been mentioned, and yet it was almost as if the sudden insecurity and vulnerability would give it away. Treyen didn't seem like the type to make fun. Of anyone for that matter. The two boys had never had this deep of a conversation before; involving what could be a touchy subject. Opening up to tell Treyen who he'd begun to care for so much was (as the Prefect mentioned before) a risk.
Pausing for a moment, Damien rubbed the back of his neck. "We're friends -- don't you think so?" He meant it to sound more of a statement then a question. Lockhart might think Damien to believe they weren't. "I mean --" he began again. "You are a friend to me, Trey."

Yeah, that's not what he'd been meaning, truth be told, but that's the kind of answer one got for asking in a non-straight-forward way. It had helped him as a prologue to the topic he'd now need to attend to. Which was...Damien liking this girl. Whoever she was. But she must be a pretty nice for Damien to like her, really.
Treyen knew many, many girls, better not to mention that.
He half-smiled as he admitted his liking for the girl. The smile soon disappeared when he thought of the recent events in his life, "Do you know if they're really together?" that was too important. "Did she tell you she chose him?" he doubted that had happened, though.
Treyen couldn't help it, he smiled when Damien agreed of what he'd been talking about with Nessie a week ago or so, where Treyen and Nessie considered Damien a friend, but they didn't know if it also worked the other way around.
"I don't think you need me to state the obvious, but, yes, I think of you as a friend," the silent one, even if Chandler didn't talk much either but that's because his girlfriend talked on his behalf way more.

Oh! And how she was going to tell her adopted mother that she was moving out to live with her best friend.
Sighing, the sixteen year old shifted in her seat slightly and decided to look around. It was only then that she realised someone was sitting near her. And giving her... a look. That look was enough to tell her that she was officially screwed.
And then the boy stood up and moved away. Just great(!) Simon was clearly still upset with her. Guess he still remembered the day she had punched him in the face. Even though it wasn't technically her who had done this. But she was going to be the one to apologise.
Kita stood up and made her way towards Simon, a small smile on her face. "Hi Simon," she said, "Er... can we talk?"

Kita's mind wandered slightly, as it usually did when she was alone. She hated the end of term. It meant that she was going to have to go home... to her adopted mother, to awkward moments, and to boredom.
That's when she felt... weird. As if she was being watched. Kita sat up sharply and looked around. Her eyes rested on a blonde haired girl who had flopped down on a chair near her.
Something else she noticed was the girl's eyes. It was flickering from her to the chocolate frogs. This girl didn't need a sign telling her she could help herself did she?
A smirk spread across Kita's face as she moved her legs and flopped them over the side of the armchair. "You know," she started, "You can help yourself to a frog..."

"It's rather obvious," he replied, regarding Treyen's question of if Damien knew that Isobel was with this other guy. "Though apparently I must have been oblivious to it. We -- this girl and I -- we were talking in the library and -- to make a long story short, it got wierd, she left then I left only to turn a corner to find some --" he paused drawing in a deep breath; "-- some other guy kissing her."
He felt like throwing the table over again.
Damien turned to the boy sitting next to him, a sideways smile slowly forming. "You really have no idea how nice it is to hear someone say they consider me a friend," he said. "I'm not the most -- social, shall we say? And I appreciate it, Trey. More than you'll ever realize."
Taking that into consideration, Damien began to wonder if he should confide in Lockhart and speak to him about Isobel. To mention names might open a can of worms he's not ready to deal with, but Treyen knew Isobel, and probably had known her for quite some time (given the Quidditch background).
Shaking his head slightly the fifth year sighed heavily. "It's Isobel, Treyen --the girl, it's -- it's Isobel."

Maybelle walked back into the common room. She was very happy that Jake wasn't mad. She saw that Damien and Treyen were still talking. She would wait patiently to talk to Damien. Sitting by the fire, she took a deep, relaxing breath. She needed a book to read...then she thought, This day would make a great story.
"It's rather obvious," he replied, regarding Treyen's question of if Damien knew that Isobel was with this other guy. "Though apparently I must have been oblivious to it. Shaking his head slightly the fifth year sighed heavily. "It's Isobel, Treyen --the girl, it's -- it's Isobel."
Obvious? How come? Damien wasn't giving names, which was totally okay, names weren't necessary. But he needed to provide some sort of information as to why it was obvious for Treyen to understand that bit.
And he was providing it. Okay.
Treyen's face fell instantly, and he hoped that Damien didn't notice, because truthfully, it had nothing to do with him nor with what he was telling him, yet Treyen was reminded of the recent events that managed to mess up whatever he'd had with Ellie.
"But are they together? A kiss doesn't necessarily mean they are," because he wasn't dating Kurumi or being with her, he'd only kissed her once, and that meant nothing, "You do like her," he said, and added something else, "As more than just a friend, I'm afraid," otherwise that kiss wouldn't have minded much to him.
Treyen had even gotten upset when he saw Ellie dance with Dallin last year, and so he understood Damien right now. But he also knew that those little things can sometimes mean nothing.
Heeeey! He was sort of smiling, that was so nice and refreshing to see! "It's finally great to know you consider me one as well," now he didn't have to tell Nessie what he had before. If she ever asked again, then he could say they were friends.
He wasn't expecting that. AT ALL. So, his eyes opened wide when he mentioned who it was, the girl, Isobel. "But she's not seeing anyone, I think," not that he would've known, but they were together in the Yearbook as well, so, he would've heard something, no?
Dude. The Pensevies aint got nothing on you. Aslan is the God

Simon looked at Kita as she walked towards him, he was worried was she going to punch him again and tell him to stop being an idiot, but then she spoke and Simon sighed, hadn't he told her that he never wanted to speak to her again after what had happened.
Simon looked down at the floor and then back at Kita. "I guess so." Simon had decided he would be the grown up, he was suddenly beginning to realise that you couldn't go through school arguing with your house mates.
Obvious?
"I guess I'm not all that sure if they're together," he said, regarding on if he was certain Isobel was dating another person. Usually things like sharing a kiss in hushed corners had to mean something. Then again, Damien was completely clueless when it came to matters such as these. Who was he to say he knew everything? He certainly didn't.
His head was shaking back and fourth now. "Impossible," he said. "She's a friend, plain and simiple -- I've never thought of any girl more than a friend." As mentioned before, this particular Hufflepuff wasn't acquainted with too many girls at Hogwarts, but it was still impossible.
-- Impossible --
Still, Damien felt happy that he was able to have this conversastion with Treyen, the two boys declaring their bond of friendship. It'll be nice having him around the next two years at school. A true ally.
And then the statement that Isobel wasn't dating anyone perked his ears up, and he looked at his companion with one raised eyebrow. "You're sure ..." he let that question fade off. Hold on just one second, why was this such a concern of Damien's? "She never mentioned anyone to me either, but I figured she was just being nice -- a gentle uhm -- rejection if you will. We don't even have that much in common, other than being able to carry on conversations so why would it matter to me if she had a boyfriend or not?!"
That last part came out a little louder than Damien had expected. He wasn't even expecting to say the words of the last sentence, and yet they spluttered out. Could it be true? Of course Damien had feelings for Isobel -- he probably felt it not too long after they were first introduced. But these feelings --
He sighed heavily, tilting back on his chair and lacing his hands behind his neck. Realizing perhaps -- for the first time what those feelings for Isobel meant.
Bella was excited as Siobian. " YES! Ya let get started." Bella was so happy with the answer she forgot about being worry about her couisn. "What should we do first?"
"Well, favorite colors are red and gold," Siobian took her wand out and started scetching, "and she loves neclace's, so... I'm guessing that would be best. I say we make it something like this!" She smiled, Or like this or this! Really it's up to you, I can't decide which one."

Bella look at the necklace and she like the first one. "I like the one that you show me first. And what kind of curse should we use?"

Sighing... That's what Simon was doing... He was sighing!
Sighing's good right?
Kita took a deep breath and sat down opposite Simon. Ok, now time to apologise... "Simon, i just wanted to say i'm, er, sorry for punching you in the face," she said awkwardly, trying to maintain eye contact with the boy sitting opposite her, "It was wrong of me to have let my anger get the better of me." Wait... what anger? "So i was hoping you'd, er, accept this apology. I don't want to lose you as a friend..." Were they even friends to begin with?
If not, the sixteen year old would have to flick her wand and bring out something to try and convince Simon that she was still nice.

Simon looked straight at Kita, he was really upset with what she had done but he didn't want to lose a friend and now he had calm down he was being a new person. "I'll forgive you, just don't do it again." Simon smiled, his mind wanted him to say you'll never be forgiven but he had decided he might as well forgive her.
