History of Magic: Lesson One
 

Arabella-Marie skipped into History of Magic and said "Morning Professor" Arabella-Marie took a seat at the Gryffindor table and was looking forward to class

Whatever Ariadne expected of a History of Magic class, it wasn't that. The party decor made her very curious, so as she entered, after greeting Professor Cerulean, Ari asked her: 'Wow, Professor, are we having a party? Whose birthday is it?' This was exciting!

Scanning the room, Ariadne realized they were supposed to sit at house tables, just like in the Great Hall. Hmm...

Hannah walked in the classroom,Hello Professor Cerulean she said with a smile.she took a seat at the ravenclaw table.

Helena walked into the History of Magic classroom, to find it... pretty odd decorated. Was it someone's birthday? Were they having some kind of feast? Or maybe they'll eat to have energy for the real lesson!

Anyway, the girl faced another new professor and smiled. "Good morning." Then, she walked towards the green part of the looong table and sat down, simply staring at the board. At least they had music.

Kimalia entered the room following the other arrivals enchanted by the abnormal decorations. "Is this a classroom or.. a party?!" She grinned at the professor despite her thoughts. "Good day, Professor." And walked swiftly to her house table.

Before she even gave the classroom a glance, Ellie looked at their new professor, "I expect snacks," she said. Once she had looked around the classroom, she realized that that was totally unnecessary. There was cake. Multiple cakes.

And Jacob should be here any minute.

Smirk.

"I approve," she nodded to the professor. She approved of anyone who had the potential to force Jacob's insanity through. It was only a matter of time before he was sent away, and she liked anyone who was helping to speed that up.

Ellie continued farther into the classroom and read the board. Why exactly did they have to sit at their House tables? What kind of school unity was that? And WHOSE birthday was it?

So many questions. Already. She didn't have this problem with Welton.

Regardless, Ellie found a seat at a table donned with a blue tablecloth. Right.

Hugo walked into the classroom and the first thing he noticed were the happy birthday banners. "Why thank you, it was my birthday yesterday," he chuckled as he looked for his house colours. "Good day, professor," Hugo said and smiled.

UH CAKE. Bill grinned brightly and made his way over to the slytherin table. "Hello, professor." he said winking, while walking over to a seat.

Tiberius hustled into the room and stopped short in front of the professor as he took in all there was to see. Blinking in a bit of confusion, he took his turn shaking the professor's hand. "Good day," he said, unsure if she was new or returning. He'd have to ask.

Reading the board, but squinting a little as he did so, Tiberius nodded to himself and searched out the blue tables for a familiar face.

A ha. The girl who didn't think Lord Borr was a monster to be avoided at all costs. Tiberius could only assume she'd never met the man.

Walking over, he smiled. "Hi," he said, leaving his bag on his shoulder. "Mind if I sit here?"

History of Magic. Definitely not one of her favourite lessons. She entered the classroom and stopped. Wow. The decoration was pretty amazing. Birthday? Whose birthday was it? Anyway. She greeted the professor with a smile and greeted, "Good Morning", before taking a seat at the Hufflepuff table.

So Amy was uh..confused. Mainly because there was a birthday ting going on...she shrugged none the less, hey professor Amy grinned at her, walking to the YELLOW table, dumping her stuff next to it and grabbing a seat

So. What were they doing, because the professor was too early for her birthday. Only just, but still

Kurumi had to admit, her expectations for History of Magic were not set very high based on previous classes. Sure, she found history interesting in its own right, but when compared to other classes that were so fast paced...well...the class never had been one she had gone racing through the corridors to get to.

Which is why she was pleasantly surprised to see the classroom had been decorated in house colors and with streamers saying Happy Birthday. "Good day, Professor," Kurumi chirped as she awed at the banners. "Is...Is it Hogwarts' birthday?"

It made sense when one considered the decor and that they were in a History of Magic after all.

Now this was the kind of music that Caroline could tolerate. Loads better than that god awful classical music from Transfig. lesson. As stepped into the room, she could it playing lightly into inside the room. She looked around it was very colorful it say the least. Red, green, blue and yellow. It looked like they were having a party of something, She smiled at the new professor. "Good morning Professor." She looked like she would be a fun teacher better these ministry ones. She read the board and headed over to the green corner of the room. She sat down and waited for class to begin.

The girl was keeping an eye on the door. She wanted to see Jacob's reaction the very moment he entered the classroom and saw the cake.

GASP.

She should get her camera out! Take a picture! Yes yes yes.

The seconds she took to remove the camera from her bag, get it all ready, and hang it around her neck, were the seconds Tiberius had entered and approached. At his voice, she looked up at him...this better not be a habit of his, standing while she was sitting. She couldn't look up that far for too long. "Not at all." Sit. Keep her company.

They could make fun of Jacob in whispers. When Jacob came. Come, Captain, come. Tehe.

Jory made his way to the History of Magic classroom. He was astonished to see it decorated as if there would be a birthday party.
"Good day, Professor," he said as he followed the instructions and made his way to the Hufflepuff table.
He spotted Ari and waved to her.

Simon walked into the classroom and then stopped, "What the!" He thought to himself then realised that maybe he had the wrong room, walking back out he turn to the door and saw that it said History of Magic classroom, so he walked back in, seeing a Professor he hadn't seen before he turned to and asked. "Professor is this the History of Magic class, or has it been moved?" He thought it looked like a birthday party in here and as such surely it wasn't a lesson.

"Hello professor. Nice to meet you," Tayla smiled as Professor Cerulean shook her hand. "I'm Tayla Barnhill. First year."


Seeing as there were more students arriving, she entered the classroom and stood in awe. "Wow!" she exclaimed, looking around at all the decorations. She spotted her friend Ari at the table for the Gryffindors and took a seat next to her. "Hey Ari. Is it the professor's birthday today?"

Janice went into the room, with a little trouble of not noticing the board, which was decorated with the HAPPY BIRTHDAY sign. When she see the tables, it was the last thing she had expected from a History Class. It was, decorated, and had food on it. She had often stereotyped a History Class as the "boring" class, but not this one.

"Good morning, Miss," Janice greeted the professor.

The professor had really out done herself. Cassie was loving the decorations. Who knew history of magic could be this exciting? She entered the room completely and sauntered from place to place taking in the decor. Wow could this be her new favourite class?

She turned her attention to the professor and beamed."Professor this is so pretty!!"
Spotting none of her friends just yet, Cassie made her way over to the hufflepuff section and took a seat. She eyed the drink wondering if it was safe to taste it or not. She figured that she had best wait to see if anyone else did before she indulged.

Alex was staring around in the classroom, the first History of Magic lesson and they were having some kind of party? What was the happy birthday for? He shook his head to get the foolish dazzled look of his face and smiled at the professor instead. One of the new Profs, one he hadn't actually greeted before. He liked her already, how could he not? She was having a freaking party on her lesson! *spaz*

"Good day Professor..." Searrrrrch the memory. "Professor Cerulean." he finished. Phew, nice save. "Nice to meet you." he nodded his head before walking over towards the green colours.

ZOMG, FIREWORKS! Alex stood grinning to himself while he saw the occasional fireworks popping about. Before he sat down and kicked his legs around. MIEEEP.

Fee made her way to the history of magic classroom and smiled a little.Last term history of magic had been a good subject but with the new teacher the blonde wasnt so sure.All she could do was hope for a good and nice teacher.

Walking through the door the Slytherin noticed that music was playing and there was a happy birthday sign hanging in the air.It looked really beautiful.Whose birthday was it?! Mhhh maybe the professors?That would be soo much fun.

Still admiring the room the blonde sat down on one of the empty tables and took out her parchment and a quill.You never knew.

Trying to say hello to everyone...
 

Gemma smiled at the young man and was impressed that he had remember her name, "Nice to see you as well."

The professor glanced at the girl. Yet another one that walked in without saying hello. She pushed that thought out of her head and smiled towards the girl, "Welcome to class and hello!" she said with a smile and her usual sweet voice.

Gemma watched as the girl came into the classroom. She smiled at the girl and even though she hadn't spoken to her as she passed said, "Hello!"

"Good morning to you as well." she said with a smile.

"The same to you!" she said to the girl.

Gemma was delighted that another student had shook her hand, "Well hello Ms. Barnhill. It is a pleasure to meet you and welcome!"

Gemma smiled at the young man's confusion, "You are in the correct place...no worries...."she glanced at his robes and then motioned towards the yellow table, "Go ahead and head towards the yellow tables and have a seat."

The Professor smiled back, "Hello and welcome."

She smiled at the young woman delighted that the girl was obviously liking the music, "Good morning."

The professor's face beamed at the very astute young lady, "Good morning and welcome! That's a good guess, but you'll have to wait and see!" she said with friendly wink.

The Professor was very happy to have someone shake her hand back instead of just walking by. "Welcome! Yes it is celebration of an important birthday today..."

Gemma smiled at the young girl, "Hello dear!"

The professor smiled at the boy, "Good day to you as well and welcome!"

"Good Morning and welcome!" she said with a smile.

Gemma smiled at the young man, "Welcome to class!"


Did the young man just wink at her...She cocked her right eyebrow up and looked at him with her head cocked to the side. She decided not to make a big deal out of it...after all it could just be a nervous tik. "Hello sir."

Gemma giggled at the boy's comment, "Well then happy belated birthday! You are lucky to share a birthday so close to such an important one in history!"

The professor glanced at the young lady wondering if the girl was really being demanding or just picking on the new professor. She didn't like demands and she wasn't sure if the young girl knew that it wasn't always what you said but how you said it that made a difference. She was just about to explain this to the young lady nicely when the girl made her next comment.

"Well, I'm happy you approve of the snacks and of the room so far..." she said sweetly but she did file this first impression in the back of her mind.

"Hello and welcome!" the professor said with a smile.

"Good morning!" she said to the girl as she walked in.

Gemma smiled at the young lady, "Hello to you as well"

The professor smiled at the girl, "Thanks for asking...yes we are going to have a small party with our lesson."

Gemma cleared her throat but not so loud that it was obvious or obnoxious and then announced,
"Okay everyone if you'll start finding your seats, we'll be getting started with the party....I mean...lesson soon!" she said with a nod up and down towards the classroom. She stepped back towards the door and glanced out into the hall to see how many more students were headed that way.
