Marilyn felt a little startled by the coughing fit. He seemed in really bad condition. The blonde frowned, moving around the table to sit next to him. Placing a hand on his forehead, she wiped his hair out of his face. "Rafe, what's going on with you? I demand you tell me at once..." He looked awful.

When he mentioned the box a second time, the blonde frowned. It might never open...He was being cryptic, as usual. Why he couldn't just tell her things, Marilyn didn't know. "To be honest, I don't want anything to happen to the box...So, I hadn't planned on taking it. But if you think I should..." She let the sentence die out, giving the Gryffindor boy a strange look...

Why did he look like he was going to be sick?

"Even if I told you, you wouldn't believe me...my father says only time will mend it, but I don't think I'll ever reach," cough, "a full," cough, "recovery." Rafe reached for her hand and placed it for a moment on his cheek. Her touch felt so warm against his cold skin.

"It's up to you." Rafe tried to smile, but he just didn't have the strength and even let go of her hand. "Everything is up to you now."

Everything is up to you now...

Could he be any more cryptic? Marilyn sighed, wrapping her arms around the frail looking boy, her ex...Someone she loved so much it hurt at times, and hugged him tight. "Please take care of yourself this summer...I'd like to see you next term." The Slytherin attempted a smirk, but gave a grimace instead. She hoped he'd take it easy. Just because they weren't together anymore didn't mean he could just waste away.

She still loved him...

"You'd better promise...or I will hex you..." Threatening him seemed like the only way...even though it was halfhearted. She didn't want to worry all summer about whether or not he was safe and alive. "Please..."

"I'll try." Rafe closed his eyes for a moment. He thought of the way her hair shined in the sun. He thought of the first time he saw her sitting on a bench in Diagon Alley. There were just a million little thoughts running through his mind, but he kept coming back to the moment she broke up with him...but, ultimately it was his fault for not telling her. "Can I ask something of you? And you don't have to worry...I don't think a broken heart is contagious." He tried to sound as jokingly as possible to throw her off.

Marilyn gave him a look...

A broken heart?

A few seconds snailed by...then a few more...She said nothing. Just continued giving him a rather intense look of disbelief. Was he trying to confuse her? Did he know that she was trying to move on from what they'd had...? Did he have to be such a jerk?

Hmm...

With a cutting edge in her voice, she said, "What's that?"

Well, Rafe figured he got away with it. I guess giving her a book on wolves and how they mate for life was a little out of the question at this point. "I just ask for one thing....just...just in case." Rafe took in a deep breath. What he was about to ask was risky, but it would be totally worth it. But, he could get slapped...oh, just ask...

"I would like a kiss." He was scared to look her in the eye. He felt like a giddy school boy for a moment asking a foolish errand. But, it was something he desired most in the world before they went their separate ways.

He didn't think it mattered anymore. That was abundantly clear, and didn't make it okay. Not by any means. "Apparently, it doesn't. Maybe it never did in the first place, Legend." Katie muttered in response, pinching the bridge of her nose as she squeezed her eyes closed, feeling the hot leaking tears on her fingertips and then trailing down her face as she stood there, one arm still crossed. Legend had said sorry. He was sorry, for what? For thinking it didn't matter? For upsetting her? For telling Neptune? She didn't want to hear sorry. He didn't get it. Obviously, he didn't. And.. Katie was tired. So tired of this round and round thing. It never ended, did it? Right when things got okay, it all fell apart again.

Dropping her hand from her face and wrapping her arm around herself again, Katie's gaze remained fixed on him, lips pressed together as he spoke. Her eyes glanced quickly at his hand as she noticed it move toward her, and then he stopped. That alone made this feel far too familiar. Like the day they had broken up in the first place. Except then, he hadn't known better than to try grabbing her arm. It hurt in a similar way, too, Katie realized. "You didn't think it mattered anymore, but for some reason.. not one of our best friends know still, and you thought it would be okay to tell her? You didn't tell even Mathias, but you would tell her." She shook her head, again. He didn't see the problem with that picture? That small piece alone? And that wasn't even all of it. "I don't care who she is to you or what you do with her, that was part of our past. Something that was between us, not her. It was NONE of her business, Legend. Even if it's over, it had nothing to do with her. If it concerned anyone, if anyone had a right to know, it was our best friends.." And they didn't. Katie could only remember one time she had felt this awful, one time that was still vivid and fresh in her memory, practically haunting her that very moment. "And you know what makes it hurt that much more, Legend? You didn't even tell me that you had told her. What happened to not keeping things from each other? Didn't you think I had atleast had a right to know when it involves me?" No. Katie didn't actually want his answer.

This was a terrific way for Orlando to find out, too, by the way. Her dark leaking eyes stole a swift glance over at Orlando and only him before finding Legend again. "You get to explain this one to him. I'm not doing it this time." Professor Hadley had already started walking before she had addressed Legend again, and so without so much as telling Orlando goodnight, Katie turned on her heels and made to follow after the older woman.

As if this could have gotten any harder?

What had Rafe just asked her?

Did he seriously just ask her for a kiss?

Marilyn was hearing things...She had to be hearing things. How dare he ask such a request of her? After everything! Did he enjoy messing with her like this? Tears filled her green eyes as she looked upon him...but they did not fall. Not yet...

"I can't..." I won't... Marilyn felt her throat tightening...They were in a room with EVERYONE else in the entire school. She could NOT cry...Her eyes closed, trying to reign in her emotions. This can't happen...

"Please." Wasn't there a time where he waited for her to ask him of a kiss? Was it so awful to ask it of her? Rafe could almost cry, just like he sensed Marilyn was about to. It was like he was feeling every emotion she was in that very moment.

"It's just I can't...I can't remember our last kiss...all the ones before it, yes, but not our last." It was a black hole in all his memories. "I just would like to have something to remember and just in case...if anything should happen between us over the summer...please Marilyn. I've never asked anything of you before. Please give me this."

Rafe didn't know why he was putting himself through this torture, but he needed something to hold onto during what he expected to be a difficult summer.

Marilyn's eyes were glassy...and close to spilling. Why was he doing this to her? She look upon him, raking her eyes over his face, memorizing every scar, line, and freckle. He was practically begging her to kiss him...

...but she couldn't. Not right now. Things were different...Too much had happened. What did he expect? Marilyn to jump into his arms?

Trying to push away the urges to do just that, the blonde did the only thing she knew how to do.

She got angry. Irrationally angry...

"No, I'm not, Rafe...We can't do this. I'm sorry." Her voice seemed a little harsh...but that was the only way to get herself out of this situation. Kissing him was a bad, BAD idea. The Slytherin knew it...

''It's all right i've gotten over it!'' she said but truthfully she knew she didn't look as happy as she was when she came over to the table

Luna gulped when Rose said mum had cancer ''Oh i'm so sorry!'' Why's everyone dying this year or sick or somthing like that! Lu hugged Rose ''Are you alright?''

Kurumi giggled when Lexi blew her a kiss, not really knowing how else to react to it. She was glad that she wouldn't be saying good bye to the lioness this term, but she wasn't looking forward to a year from now when she would be. She needed to start planning for that right NOW.
Model? Nope. This was news to Kurumi. She was just about to ask what sort of modeling he had planned when he mentioned visiting clothing stores. "Woooow..." she said with her jaw nearly dropping onto the table. She was suddenly struck with an idea and reached for some spare parchment and mini quill in her pocket and handed them to him. "Can I...Can I get your autograph? Before you become famous I mean." Her cheeks flushed a bit. Once people became famous, it was hard to get closer to them for signatures after all.

Kurumi nodded at his next comment. "I won't be back in Diagon Alley until a week or two before the term begins. I am studying abroad for the summer, but I will be sure to owl you." And probably send some cookies along as well.

"You will...you will write me, right?" Kurumi asked shyly as she began tugging on her hair a bit. Although, she was sure Simon had much more important things to do than to write a soon-to-be 4th year about what was going on in his life.

Kurumi looked up at him with her violet eyes and smiled. While she knew that he didn't plan on continuing his Quidditch career - she remembered that from their conversation in the broom shed - she was sure that Simon was going to do something amazing, and she wanted to hear all about it.
Kurumi jumped in her seat and a shiver went down her spin, causing her skin to look like a plucked chicken's. She hadn't been expecting anyone to go shouting her name across the table, let alone the Great Hall. Her hair wasn't some strange color now, was it? Perhaps a sliiiiight hint of orange, but nothing too noticeable.

Not recognizing the voice, Kurumi slowly turned around and saw the Hufflepuff she had been paired up with during Herbology. She had been a little cross with him at first, but Professor Bentley had told her that she needed to keep a firm hand with him.

"G-Good evening, Simon," she smiled with a only slightly awkward wave. In the next instant, her eyes grew twice their size when she saw that he hugged her and then offered her some chocolate. Hugs were something she was still getting accustomed to - at least hugging boys - so she couldn't help but blush just a little. "Y-Y-You really didn't have to..." she squeaked as she bowed her head several times before accepting the chocolate. "I-I-I am not sure what I did to deserve a gift from you..."

'Well... I'm fine now, she's had the operation, and the Cancer probably won't come back...' Rose said quietly. 'Lets talk abou something else...' Rose suggested, wanting to change he subject. 'Hey, when was the last Quidditch World Cup?' Rose asked

So Ruby was leaving? Emma pouted perhaps she was just acting. Ruby was leaving? Perhaps that would be good or bad. Yet, she knew that Brae would be sad because it seemed as if the two lions had become close friends, which Emma didn't really care about. As she brushed a blonde piece of hair back off her face, she stared at her hands. Ruby was acting weird too. Way weird. Like she was guilty. Something was definitely up. Whatever was happening, Emma didn't like it. Not one bit. Merlin's Beard- no. Where was Alexbear when you need him to help you? To investigate? Her partner in crime?

So they had drank a lot of butterbeer? Oh... Well that was a better answer to what Emma thought the situation would be. So Emma nodded and acted as if she was taking that answer but in her heart she knew that the whole butterbeer wasn't exactly true cause Brae wouldn't... Conflicted on the inside, the blonde was confused. She didn't know what to do or who to trust. All she knew was she definitely didn't trust Ruby with her boyfriend.

And then Braeden suggested that the three of them should return to their seats. "Yeah. Good idea. I should probably leave and join my table. It seems as if you two have something important to discuss. It's pretty obvious by your behaviour," remarked the Slytherin in a nonchalant way, noticing that Ruby and Braeden had locked eyes. And then she took Braeden's hand when he offered to help them up off the ground. "I'll... Catch you guys later," said Emma, flashing them a weak before turning around and walking away. Perhaps it was nothing? But... She just felt weird. Unhappy. Sigh. Instead of heading to her own table, she decided that she would stop by the Ravenclaw table. Slytherclaw were there.

Luna nodded,

''I'm not sure'' she replied

'I hhope I can go to the next one...' Rose said, thinking about it. 'It would be totally awesome!' Rose laughed. 'I love Quidditch... Gotta remember to practise over the holidays!' Rose reminded herself

William looks for Sarah, Witsy and Cove to join him at the table andsit next to and across from him.

Luna smiled ''Yea it would!'' she said,

''Yes I better practise too i'm gonna try out next year I think!'' Luna smiled

'You should totally try out!' Rose said enthusiastically, grabbing a Quorn burger and a bun. 'You'd be great!' Rose assured her.

Victoria walked over to the Gryffindor table with her cousin William because he wanted to talk to his friends.

Tyler walked into the Great Hall, another year almost over already, and he couldn't remember half of it. He wondered over to the Gryffindor table in search for one of his fellow Gryffindors, Rose. He took a seat beside her "guess who?" he said.

Please be who I think it is! Rose grinned to herself. Rose looked behind her.
'Tyler!' Rose cried, hugging him. 'I haven't seen you for AGES!' Rose emphasized 'ages'

After Orlando had left, Ryden had started eating. 'Cause, you know, it was a feast and despite the weird things happening, the girl was still hungry. So, after tucking in and grinning around at random people - generally being quite un-Ryden like - the original her came back full force as people began climbing tables and pronouncing their love for one another. Strange.

Time to go.

Getting up, she eyed the strange people some more before going over to the only table she knew people at - the Gryffindors.

Now where was that boy she now called her boyfriend? HEHEHE.

" Hey cousin, thanks for coming over here" Willaim told Victoria. " I am looking for Witsy, Sarah, Ronnie and Cove" William said to Victoria. " I just met a new freind, actually she had been an acquatance of mine, but now we are friends and her name is Ness " Willaim explained to Victoria. "She is in my year and she is in HufflePuff" William smiled. William leaned over and whispered to Victoria so one could hear him," There is Rose over there"

Victoria looked over at the girl and said "She looks like a very nice girl! So Witsy hasn't finished packing yet!"
