And like Jayce, Vashti wasn't certain whether she'd see Eirian again after this night. What was she going to do after she graduated? Vashti had no idea.
She glanced over at the older girl and couldn't help thinking that she looked more miserable than Vashti had expected. And...what was that look for? "Hey Eirian," she said, managing another weak smile. " Ola, minha filha," Eirian greeted in Brazilian, guilt flooding her stomach for a moment before she dropped Jay's hand. How was she so fed up with everything she was terrified to leave? A twitch of either end of her lips was the most she could offer of a smile, as she was beginning to feel nauseous, but the Brasileira still opened her arms, asking for a hug from Vashti. "You will 'ave to come to visit this summer, filha." Translation: "Hello, my daughter." "... daughter." It literally translates to that, but it's a term of affection used with friends.

William knows what is wrong. Rose put a curse on him. She is the meanest girl. not just in Gryffindor, but the whole school. Pansy Parkinson and Delores Umbridge are real angels compared to Rose. He gives Rose a dirty look. "Does anyone know when the train will be here?" William asked anyone on the Gryffindor table again.

Rose looks at William giving her what he thinks is a 'dirty look'. She burst out laughing, whilst chatting to Luna. 'Sorry, but, look at William, he looks like he's trying to have a poo!' Rose chuckled. Ah, moments like this were what was funny at Hogwarts...

As anxious as the boy was, he couldn't help feeling he already knew the answer, though. It was the butterbeer, wasn't it? It had just been a random spur of the moment kind of thing, influenced by too many butterbeers and the thrill of doing something that's never been done before.
As he continued to think about it, the poor Gryffindork seemed to grow more and more disappointed, and it showed in his face. It wasn't until Ruby came closer and spoke into his ear, that the boy snapped out of his thoughts.
Brae gulped nervously as Ruby warned him that he was "a dead man" if he told this to anyone. Was the reason really THAT important?! Now the boy was curious, and he nodded his head obediently, listening as Ruby went on.
And she told him she liked him.
Somewhere in the background, where Braeby's imaginary song played, the record scratched. WHAT?! !!!!!!!!
Braeden pulled away from Ruby abruptly, in order to get a good look at her face. He. MUST'VE. Heard. Wrong. There was NO WAY on earth Ruby Abigail Blair liked him -- HIM! Of all people in Hogwarts - Braeden Stonem! Her favourite victim to torture and abuse for the past two terms!
Immediately, the dork's first reaction was to assume this was some sort of joke. However, Ruby wasn't laughing at his startled, bug-eyed face. No, she looked totally serious, even horrified of what she'd said.
IF RUBY WAS HORRIFIED, THEN IT MUST HAVE BEEN TRUE.
Ohmygosh!
As it finally dawned on Braeden that Ruby was saying the truth - the truth! She seriously liked him! - he couldn't help but grin like the big dorky goofball he was. WELL. Whaddayaknow?! This was rather convenient, really… "Bubs…" he trailed off for a moment, just staring at the girl incredulously. He couldn't stop staring at her, he needed to make sure she wasn't going to randomly burst into laughter at any second, mocking him for believing her. But when a whole minute or so had passed, and Ruby still hadn't laughed, Braeden chuckled softly to himself, still disbelievingly. "Wow… Bubs, I-- that's funny-- I-- I… I always li--"
And then Emma appeared. EMMA! Startled!Brae made his appearance again then.
"E-E-E-EM--EMMA!" he stuttered out, brown eyes large as he looked up at the blonde Slytherin. It was like he was seeing a dementor for the first time.
But Emma was talking to them normally, she didn't sound upset and she hadn't kicked his face in yet. Braeden merely stared at her with a pale face and huge eyes. Could it be… could it be that she hadn't seen everything that had just happened between Braeby in the last half an hour or so?
As Emma asked what they were doing on the floor, Braeden merely kept staring at her. And staring. And staring, with his jaw hanging. He was so still, you'd think he'd just seen a basilisk in the eye. But, eventually, the boy seemed to come back to life. "Uh… Uh-- I-- We were… uh, just… y'know… W-w-w--we fell… and… yeah, we landed… here…" explained the boy, who had never, EVER in his life felt this awkward. And Braeden felt awkward pretty often.
Normally, the Gyrffindork would have jumped to his feet and greeted his lovely girlfriend with a kiss and a hug by now, but he was so terrified of the realization that he HAD a girlfriend in the first place, after everything that had just happened, that he couldn't move. He couldn't even blink! He was completely frozen in his terror, unsure of what to do. Never before had the little doof found himself in a situation like this, and... it wasn't pleasant. And now Braeden was acting strange. He looked like a guilty child that had just taken the last two cookies from the cookie jar. Okayy... What was this about? Emma raised her blonde eyebrows at his behaviour. He just... Stared t her as if she was the spawn of hell or a terrible monster. The Slytherin got a funny feeling in her stomach. What.... What was this all about? The Malfoy looked over at Ruby, wondering if... No. Brae would never... Would he? She didn't feel so happy to see them...
And then he was stuttering. Merlin's Beard, what was the matter now? Why was he so nervous? Okay, something was obviously going on with him and the blonde was seriously worried. What if Ruby had hit him so hard that he had forgotten her and.... No. Or maybe, Brae and Ruby were... Emma looked away from both of them, narrowing her eyes at the thought. Impossible. That was impossible. Braeden would never, he was nothing like Emma's ex. He was the sweetest guy ever. Fell on the floor? That wasn't suspicious at all. " Oh. Umm.. Okay," said the fourth year, deciding that she would believe her boyfriend. This was weird. " Why are you so nervous?" she asked, before looking into his brown eyes. They looked.. Dilated.. Was he drunk on butterbeer? " Are you feeling okay? And you Ruby? Drank to much butterbeer?" she asked. Was he okay?
silence. ... Emma didn't feel so well anymore. She bit her lip and paused, stoping from breathing for a second, holding her breath as if she was underwater. The blonde didn't want to think about the other possible answer for Braeden acting so weird. As she sat down beside them, she took a breath, evaluating the situation. " So what's going on with the Gryffindor house?" she asked, trying to break the silence as she gave Braeden a
'what's this all about?'.

Simon suddenly spotted her. "KURUMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Simon suddenly went towards her and hugged her, he was glad his girlfriend hadn't seen it, he took out some chocolate. "I got you this the last time I was in Hogsmeade." Simon smiled, he was hoping she wouldn't shout at him otherwise he would be sad.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Rory Thompson Gryffindor Fifth Year | Brae and Emma...Braeby is SO BUSTED! xD ♥ Anissel | Mrs. O'Pry's BFF | Sweet Pea's Lassie ♥ | Laura's Mango | Tycy ♥
Ruby watched Brae's reaction with ill foreboding. She knew he wouldn't believe her at first because it was just like her to drop a bomb like this and then laugh in his face about it. Of course, it was totally Ruby-esque. But this time, the lioness didn't plan on bursting Brae's bubble because her words were true--genuine. Though she was slightly annoyed when he jumped back from her and went all bug-eyed. And then stared.
For a while.
Ruby stared right back, and even crossed her arms to make her looks convincing. No, she wasn't lying--she really liked Goofball. When he started to stutter, she listened closely. He was surprised--well, DUHH. Ruby was his worst nightmare and now she was telling him...ANYway. Before he could finish his words, though, a figure overshadowed them in their secluded spot. Ruby instantly jerked her head up and saw--EMMA. EMMA MALFOY. THE GIRL BRAE WAS DAT--OH SHIZ. OH SHIIIIIZZZZZZZZZ. How could she have forgotten about her?! In all this maddness--she blamed the butterbeer.
The lioness' face turned tomato red at the blonde, her eyes now as wide as Brae's, maybe even as big as Alfie's blue saucer-like eyes. THEY. WERE. SO. BUSTED. But...it seemed Emma hadn't seen the...y'know, the...KISS. Because she totally looked happy and nonchalant. And Ruby was pretty sure that had Emma known what had just happened, she would have been very angry. And probably hurt. But who cared about Emma? ...Brae did. Oh yes. Eck. Ignoring Brae as he stared at her like she was his executioner, Ruby looked from the blonde to the lion and then back again. "Emma--hey--I was--Yeah I'm leaving." And then she fake coughed.
Ruby could tell, though, that Emma didn't believe Brae's story because he could never lie properly. Plus, he sounded way too guilty. However, Ruby felt guilty, too but she couldn't think of anything to add to what Brae had already said. So she simply nodded as he spoke. "Me?!" She said in surprised tones as Emma asked her if she was feeling okay. "Oh I'm--I'm fine! Great! Never felt better!" She said in a rush, her hands fidgeting with her robes as she tried to look innocent. And failed for the first time in her life. But they could totally pull this off, her and Brae! Emma didn't know! And she never had to know, if Brae wanted to save his relationship. But this is where Ruby's so-called heart came in to play. She, of course, having just confessed to Brae, did NOT want Emma and Brae to stay together. And the tiniest bit of jealousy blossomed in her stomach at the blonde before her. Emma had something Ruby wanted. And Ruby always got what she wanted.
As the talk turned to butterbeer, Ruby nodded vigorously. YES, BLAME THE BUTTERBEER! "Oh yeah--we had--a little--probably too much--" She said in a jittery voice. Then she side glanced at Brae, locking eyes with him. The poor lion was STUCK and for a second, Ruby almost laughed at his misery. ALMOST.

| *sappysapper* MAJNOO, YO! Orlando proceeded to fill up Neptune's goblet, still grinning - still high. "But of course, Miss Bott. I always shall" It was a good feast. LOVELY, really. He hoped they would eat soon. When would the headmaster be giving the speech. HE NEEDED FOOD. "It is very eventful, in my opinion" he added, remembering what he had seen when he had been coming back from the Ravenclaw table. "People are proposing to each other and stuff." he said, gulping down the juice as a slight shudder past him. THEY were all so ahead of him. He had just kissed Ryden. JUST ONLY. And there were people who were planning to get married. At the rate he was going, Orlando figured nothing like that was going to happen to him anytime soon. YEP.
Noticing Legend's confusion over the keys, Orlando's grin widened. He stayed quite and let the boy decide. When he had chosen one, he picked up the other one. "It's settled then. The blue dirt bike is yours and the green one is mine!"

Neptune nearly toppled her goblet over when Legend asked that. At the TABLE! In front of everyone!
In the moment it took her to recover, her cheeks flushed deep red.
With a nervous giggle, she nodded, and then answered somewhat cryptically,"I'll be on the train." She raised her eyes to his, giving him all sorts of LOOKS. It was a good thing Lexi HAD gone already, because Neptune hadn't told her about the train. Only Legend, as it were.
"And I still remember my promise to you," she added, quietly, again searching him for an answer to an unasked question. It was Legend, so she didn't expect him to know what her looks meant, but she searched on anyway. Quote:

She couldn't HELP but look at Legend, and the Hufflepuff Katie, now that Orlando had brought it up. "I can hardly imagine such a thing." Riiiiight again. Not one to stare, Neptune returned her gaze to the spilled pumpkin juice. Then she looked at Orlando. Would he be a dear and clean that up? |

The same grouping of words held more than one implication. There was something about the word "goodbye" that felt so definite than it had before. Maybe this was goodbye for good. Rafe didn't know what would happen to them this summer. But, he had to have hope. "You make it sound like we night not see each other again." His voice was raspy and he smiled, but he didn't know if it would come across as jokingly. "What are your plans this summer?" Rafe didn't really need to ask. | Katie's boys. Favoritest Fina<3. Neptune. Fortress of Brilliance ღ Mommy Quad Professor Hadley's response was one that Katie had expected, it was very much her. And that was a good thing. It was part of the reason why she had become her favorite professor. "Legend did the breaking and entering," Katie informed her with a growing little smile, just in case she was curious. "And you didn't have to thank us. I am glad you did find us though, I was afraid I might not get to say a proper goodbye." Or that she would end up running up a few floors to the Arithmancy classroom, breaking curfew, just to do so. Because she would have, happily. This just happened to be the much easier route. Supressing laughter when Legend continued to bother Professor Hadley in such a silly manner, her attention turned toward Orlando.
Did what? Legend knew too? They had planned something? Oh Merlin, no. "The fact that I know you both far too well for my own good or either of yours, and that look on your face, Lando." Katie replied cooly, giving him a bit of a playful grin before turning a tinsy bit more serious. "What did you do? You didn't set him up on some last day prank, did you?" Her eyes on Legend, question directed toward him this time. It wasn't like what he and Mat had done to Danny when they were younger, was it? She eyed them suspiciously. "Telll meee!" "You guys always are up to something," She had every reason to think they were, every single time. Again, let it be known Katie knew her boys well. "Rari's not bad? That little girl has the mind of a genius, an evil genius if she wants to be.. I think our siblings need to be seperated," the last part was spoken as an after thought, a fairly amused one at that. And Lissy? Well, they'd better hope the girl didn't get home before them. She probably would, too.
And suddenly, Lando was talking about some gift he had for Legend now, pulling.. a pair of keys out of his picket? Katie stared at her boys for a moment, her fingers entwining with Legend's as she absently played with their hands, trying to follow and figure out what in the world Lando had gotten. But all of that had gone straight out of the window the next moment, her brain barely registering what the gift was in the back of her mind somewhere, focused on the 'proposal' part. As soon as the words so casually fell from Lando's mouth, Katie could feel the heat rising to her cheeks again, though rather unbothered. That was, until the Ravenclaw had to open her mouth.
Looking up from her and Legend's hands, Katie didn't fail to catch Neptune's gaze when she looked from Legend and then to her as she made her comment about a marriage proposal that had nothing to do with them. Stiffening in her seat, her eyebrows rose in a questioning manner. But Katie knew. That wasn't a normal reaction to hearing about some random Hogwarts couple deciding to get engaged young. Neptune knew. She shouldn't have. At all. "I'm sure you can't, Neptune." Katie said coldly, all traces of a smile long gone as she sent a swift glare at the Bott before quickly removing her hand from Legend's, the heaviness on her chest returning as her dark eyes began to sting. The happiness of the feast, was certainly dead and buried for her now. Abruptly, Katie moved a little bit away and turned in her seat, gritting her teeth as she stood with arms crossed protectively over her chest. Her gaze only on Legend, she merely shook her head, ignoring the tears that made to escape her eyes, ignoring Orlando, ignoring the Bott girl and every other person at the table. "She shouldn't know anything, Legend. It was NONE of her damn business! I didn't even tell Mackayla or Mathias or Orlando for crying out loud, and you told her!" Katie cried, angry and hurt weren't even the words to describe how she suddenly felt.
Taking in a deep breath to try and calm herself, the Hufflepuff quickly turned to face their Arithmancy Professor. "Professor, would you mind if I walked with you back to the staff table? I had a question to ask.." and she was done here. Clearly.

It would be interesting to get reports on how she was doing with Carter. But, it was for her safety for her to be watched. "I have some dealings in France I have to attend to." Marilyn had given him all the information he needed. Now, it was just a matter of executing what needed to be done. Marilyn watched him speak carefully, trying to discern if he was feeding her a line or not. Rafe seemed open enough, but something was wrong. It wasn't because of the poor condition in which he seemed...but her heart was calling out. "It might not be my forte...but Carter invited me...and I accepted." How would that make Rafe feel...Marilyn hadn't stopped to think about that...
She cleared her throat awkwardly...floundering around to change the subject away from her impending trip with the muggles. "France, huh?" Of course the mention of France made the girl wondered...She knew what was in France...Her father. Deciding that she really didn't want to know, she smirked. "Is it a lady friend?" The blonde was doing everything in her power to keep the conversation light and playful. What could she say really? She'd broken up with him...and even though she hated to admit it, the thought of him with someone else made her stomach turn. BUT this was something she'd decided. There was no going back. Not now...

"Good evening, Professor. How do you do?" Giggle. She did a sit-down table curtsy for the Professor. Slightly taken aback by the expression on Lexi's face when she greeted her, Fina sighed. She was being nice; there was no need for rudeness on behalf of the students. At least Neptune knew about politeness.
But then the blond gryffindor was off it seemed, which was just as well with her. "I'm quite alright, my dear. Congratulations on your achievements." This term William has not seen any of these traits of Gryffindor. He is really lonely now. Does anyone care? Hearing a young almost-second-year questioning about the arrival of the train, Fina glanced over at him. "Not soon enough, my dear boy, not soon enough." Because the arrival of the train only meant one thing to Josephina Hadley: Two months of NO hormonal teenagers! Quote:

Noticing the extra large grin on Orlando's face, an extra large smile broke out on Legend's face. HE KNEW WHAT THAT MEANT. "Mate! You did it right?" Yeah. He could tell. He hadn't seen Lando this happy in a WHIIILE. And plus. Legend HAD told him to do it.
But he didn't have much time to celebrate with the other Gryffindor before Neptune sent the wall of mist right back at him. "Thanks 'Tune. Refreshing. really." But clearly Lexi Denver didn't think that. He had already raised his wand and created a shield even before she had flicked a spell in his direction. Nonverbal magic? Easy to handle. "That's my job Denver. And you should relax. If you keep screeching people are going to think there's a Banshee set loose in the great hall." He smirked. Silly little sixth year.
Legend rolled his eyes at Hadley. She was obviously making stuff up now. She would miss them the most. It was obvious. There. Done. All she had to do was admit it, but of course she was being stubborn."What ever you say Hadley- Or..or can I call you Josephina now?" Legend just HAD to ask. Even if it could lead to him being hexed. "Yeah..about that present...you should really re-think locking your door with a simple charm that any first year knows the counter too." Juuuust some advice for next year of course. He paused. "I'm going to miss you though Professor. You taught me a lot." More than Arithmancy that was for sure.
Returning the hand squeeze, Legend finally felt better. Things weren't upsetting or sad. He was leaving. That was okay. "I'm not scared. You have more siblings than me, and even they aren't that bad." Hmm. Maybe.."But I am worried when it comes to Lissy. Because...it is Lissy." Yeah. She would probably sneak into HIS house and mess his stuff up. "No, you may not call me Josephina," Fina shot a glare at Legend. "I may not be your Professor anymore, but please, I just got finished discussing about respect." And he was a Prefect? How in Merlin's name did that happen? "Thank you for the advice though. I shall look into some charms over the summer. And you're quite welcome. Good luck to you." Quote:

"And you didn't have to thank us. I am glad you did find us though, I was afraid I might not get to say a proper goodbye." Or that she would end up running up a few floors to the Arithmancy classroom, breaking curfew, just to do so. Because she would have, happily. This just happened to be the much easier route. The brunette then turned on her heel and up toward the staff table, in a slow walk for Katie to come catch up.

'what's this all about?'. Quote:

ALMOST. Braeden could have just DIED. DIED right at that moment.
Actually, dying sounded like a pretty good idea right about now. Oh, why didn't Hogwarts allow apparition?! If he could just disapparate himself from the scene, that would be… well, the best thing ever.
But he couldn't. He had to stay there and face his demons, which came in the form of two of Hogwarts's most beautiful girls. Oh, Merlin.
As Emma spoke, Braeden gulped loudly, his brown eyes fixed on her own as he listened to her question him - OH GOD, she was SO onto them! Was he really that bad of an actor?! And to think he'd gotten the lead role on Spider-Man! He could not possibly be that obvious… was he? Or maybe Emma just knew him too well. Whatever it was, the girl was obviously quite aware that something sinister was going on, and it only made Braeden all the more nervous and terrified, sitting there on the floor like a prisoner waiting for the dementor's kiss. Rather ironic, really.
When the Slytherin girl then proceeded to sit with Braeby, Braeden felt his heart sink. Now he was stuck between the blonde and the redhead. LITERALLY. He stared at Emma and her large, worried brown eyes, then turned to Ruby, who locked eyes with him as she explained that they'd had too much butterbeer. Well, that much was true.
"Ye--yeah… we… we drank a little too much," muttered Braeden, clearing his throat awkwardly and staring down at his legs like they were the most interesting and fascinating thing on earth.
Could something like really incredible happen at that moment? PLEASE?! Could the ceiling please just randomly fall, or an ogre burst into the scene? SOMETHING?! Anything that could distract the girls just long enough for him to make a run for it?!
But not a single thing happened, and Braeden remained sandwiched in the most uncomfortable, awkward place of life. What was he supposed to do now?! Tell Emma? Well… that would be the most foolish and stupid thing to do. However, it was the right thing to do, and our dull little lion had a bad habit of trying to do the right thing. Hence why he so often ended up in bad situations.
However… he couldn't tell her NOW. Not with… not with Ruby around! Who knows what Emma would do if her Malfoy side came out?! Not only that, but a crowded hall on the very last day of the term was probably not the best place or moment to make a confession this huge. Not only that, but… how could he go and do that right in front of Ruby? The girl liked him, so having her as audience to a relationship-wrecking confession that was so private was rather awkward. But he still needed to give her his response to her own confession, tell her what he thought… And OBVIOUSLY he wasn't going to do that in front of Emma.
Oh, poor lion boy… what a dilemma.
"I… I--I think we should probably get back to our seats," the boy finally muttered, his face lopsided-grin-free for once. But grinning was the last thing the usually-cheery dork wanted to do at that moment. He knew Emma would never forgive him, and Ruby was leaving after this term, so… he was pretty much coming to the realization that he'd just lost both the girls he liked in one day, in one night. It was horribly abrupt.
He got up to his feet then, straightening his robes for a brief second before offering his hands to the girls sitting on the floor. The corner of his lips curved into a crooked, forced smile.

Which, the fact that he'd even brought it up made her wonder...What was in that blasted box?!
She glared at him then, getting frustrated at not knowing... "You could just tell me what's in the box and save us both the trouble..."

| ★ BabyQuad ★ PERRY THE PLATYPUS ★ Ern's Fave ★ dangerous with brooms ★ Orlando had just kissed his first girl and people were already proposing to each other. If it had been a couple years earlier, Legend would have laughed at that but now hearing about proposals...yeah...it wasn't funny anymore.
It was settled? What was settled? He had only chosen a key. But before he could say anything else Orlando hit him with the news. Dirt bikes. Legend's eyes nearly shot out of his head. "Seriously Lando? Seriously? Man, that is so cool. So so cool.Thank you Lando. So much." He didn't even know if Orlando knew of his love for extreme Muggle sports but still...SO COOL.
As soon as his sentence about the train had left his mouth Legend felt an unsure wave sweep through him. It was suppose to be a secret so saying it out loud probably wasn't a good idea...but no one would understand what he meant right? Neptune didn't seem to think that...or maybe she did. But she was blushing about it. The seventh year snickered but said nothing more about that. "Good." He murmured. He gave her a small nod, because really that was the only thing he wanted to hear. And he gave her another nod just to show that if things didn't turn out how it was suppose to. He would also keep his promise.
Last day of pranking? Legend shook his head but grinned. That did sound like something he would do. Legend had thought about it but decided not to. He didn't want to cause trouble on the last day. The blond wasn't going to say a word. It was Orlando's big move, so he would let the sixth year explain it all.
Evil genius little sister? Legend shivered at the thought. And he would actually have to live with her now! That was going to be horrible. "We need to build a place in the backyard that has separate rooms with bars instead of doors. Kind of like a jail. Except instead of waiting for them to do crimes we put them in so they can't." Made sense right? To him it did. It wouldn't be hard tricking them into it anyways!
The look that Neptune had shot them when Orlando had said something about the proposals didn't go unnoticed by Legend. He shifted his gaze onto his lap but that didn't protect him from the sudden cold words that came out of Katie's mouth to the Ravenclaw. As she suddenly pulled her hand away from his Legend drew in a breath.
She was angry. Or was going to be angry. Or SOMETHING but the main point was that he has obviously done something wrong. And then she exploded. Kaboom. Legend's head shot up, as soon as Katie began to speak. She didn't look angry. The teardrops that were building up made it obvious that she looked hurt. Obviously she had realized that he had told Neptune about their previous engagement. Which really was suppose to be a secret to everyone but family. Normally Legend would have argued or told Katie to quit acting like such a baby. Instead she shifted uncomfortably on the bench and crossed his arms. He couldn't do that this time. Not when she was obviously hurt. "I....I didn't think it mattered anymore." He answered weakly. It was after all, the truth. "I'm sorry Katie. I am. I...when I told her I didn't think that it being a secret would matter any more since we weren't engaged." He reached out for her hand again but pulled back. It was just as stupid to bother a hurt Katie as it was to bother a crazed bear.
There was nothing else he could say. Nothing else he could THINK of to fix this whole thing. He had told Neptune when he shouldn't have. That was a mistake. And how would he fix that? Legend gave Hadley a small wave as she walked away with Katie before turning around completely on the bench and resting his head on the table.
The food just needed to hurry up and come.

Ugh, it was so frustrating, though, that he'd managed to date the whole family. Could nothing be JUST hers anymore? The box? Marilyn hadn't considered taking it. They were going to be traveling...and she'd never forgive herself if something happened to Rafe's family heirloom. Which, the fact that he'd even brought it up made her wonder...What was in that blasted box?!
She glared at him then, getting frustrated at not knowing..."You could just tell me what's in the box and save us both the trouble..." "Nope." Rafe simply put it. He coughed again. Rafe was coughing hard and couldn't stop. Sip of butterbeer...ugh. Didn't work. He just grabbed a napkin. He coughed even harder...was that blood? He quickly put his napkin in his lap before he gave it more attention. He propped his head on his hand on the table. He felt like he was in a complete daze. "It might not ever open..." he whispered.
