Cove was so into eating her food that she hadn't noticed that she was sitting near friends. "Emily? What happened?" She asked with her mother partially full. She didn't look okay and after seeing Nika walk away, she knew something was up.
Emily sat back down and brushed the tears away. She would not cry in front of everyone. She poured herself a drink and drank like she was dying of thirst. It was then she noticed Cove. "Oh. Hi Cove" she said rubbing her eyes again to make sure no tears were there. "Um, it's kind of a long story if you want to know..." Mabye talking about it would make her feel better.
Ariella sighed as she flopped down into her seat at the table. She was so disappointed that Gryffindor had lost to Slytherin. There was always next year. She reached for her goblet and took a drink, thinking about how much she didn't want to go home. She had made so many good friends this year, and really didn't want it to end.

Emily coudn't help but laugh as Cove put the glasses on and declared herself her therapist. For that moment Emily forgot about her problems and was just having fun. But her bad mood soon returned. "Well, I don't think I told you, but I was supposed to be leaving school this year. My birth mam got in contact and wanted me to move to Frace with her." She woudn't cry. She was detrmained of that. "Me and Nika havn't spoken all year because of it. She was to upset." Now she was looking at her drink again, still refusing to cry. "But you see... I don't have to go anymore. My mam..." She rubbed her eyes again and finished her drink. Her birth mum wasn't worth her tears. She had abandoned her twice now, and the feeling she had felt all those years ago was back. She woudn't cry. "Anyway I tried to tell Nika, but she won't believe me! She think's I'm just messing with her! I woudn't do that though! You know I woudn't!"

Simon rolled his eyes as he listened to Josh not buying his defense of the older man. He knew his friend hated Ravenclaws but holding it against him just because...that was rough but whatever he guessed. Simon couldn't really hold it against for he had had his own competitive dealings with his Ravenclaw counterpart both with and without outside causes and had done stuff he was unhappy about with Jacob's influences. "You know what I mean Josh," he remarked shouldering his friend lightly before looking at him.
"Whatever effected me, effected Vindictus as well...would you not forgive me if I had done something badly and hadn't even been aware of what I was doing?" the captain questioned his companion. " That would be like Selina never forgiving me for what Jacob did as me while we had switched places with the polyjuice."

My family convinced me to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I got a letter a few days ago... She's changed her mind. She's gone. Again." She rubbed her eyes until they were red. She would not cry. She was determained. "I tried to tell Nika I wasn't going but she thinks I'm just messing with her feelings!" She probably didn't do it the bst way, but she had tried. Now she was gonna lose one of her closest friends. Another problem her family had caused her.

Kurumi's eyes were once again scanning the table, but not for pumpkin juice. Nope, she already had that in her goblet. This time, she was looking around at all the seventh year lions that would be leaving them. She wondered what they had been like when they were first years. How much they had changed. What stories they had to tell and how hers would match up with theirs once she became one herself. She supposed she would have to check out the Seventh Year Memory Book sometime soon.
Kurumi cocked her head to the side a bit, perhaps resembling a baby owl. Try to talk with her sister? Did that imply that they were not on good terms? Kurumi wanted to ask, but it really wasn't her place to talk about family issues - especially since she was really reluctant to discuss her own. "Spending a relaxing summer after everything that happened this term probably isn't such a bad idea," she giggled before taking another sip of her pumpkin juice. "Me? I actually was accepted to an exchange program called WEB. It's put on every year by the Wizarding Nations in some location around the world. This summer, it is being held in New York." Kurumi eyes lit up. Sure, coming to Hogwarts was technically being abroad, but it didn't always feel that way to her. Not since Hogwarts had become to feel like home.

Taking a sip of his pumpkin juice and looking around at some of the Gryffindors nearby, Riley wasn't sure who he should talk to. Josh and Legend were out of the question. Even though he had gotten to know the two boys the past 3 terms, he never quite...clicked, to put it nicely. Another sweep of the area, the Gryffindor's eyes landed on the tiny figure of Kurumi, instantly putting a smile on his face.
He swung his leg over the bench and went down to join her. "Good Evening to you Kurumi!" he said grinning at her and ruffling her hair. She was like...a little sister to him. He was going to miss her. *siiigh*

After joining Kurumi at her end of the Gryffindor table to catch up and say his fairwells to his little friend before leaving, when he looked past her head and saw who was sitting on her other side, Simon. "Oh hey Simon, feels weird to be leaving eh?" he asked genuinely a bit sad.
Then he saw Josh, who looked like he was sulking. Guhhh...why was he over here? 'Be polite Riley.'"Hey Josh, having fun?" he asked with a fake smile.
Willaim is alone at the Gryffindor table. No one wants to talk to him. Everyone has someone to talk to but William He justs sits over in the corner not eating just crying. William thought his Gryffindor housemates were getting better towards the end, but he was wrong.

A small smile returned to her lips. Hopefully those events were over. Not only was it hard seeing her friends acting not like themselves, but trying to make sense of their speech was the worst. She had almost been brought to tears after the History of Magic lesson dealing with pirates. British slang was still hard enough to understand.
"That's good," she nodded slowly. "I was really getting worried about you and the others. I...I didn't see you in action too much, only bits and pieces I heard from Selina..."
Then, Simon's expression changed slightly. It looked more concerned. She turned her head and followed his gaze to where she saw...

...that Riley had joined them. Well, of course he would have since she had called him over.
She flinched a little when he played with her hair, a rosy glow appearing on her cheeks. Riley certainly seemed in much higher spirits than the other seventh years, and the tense mood seemed to lighten. "You all ready for, well, for what comes next?"

Cove smiled and pulled away from the hug. "Heh heh. Thanks, maybe that's what I should be when I'm older. Naaaahhhh." Cove said in a funny voice. "Then she obviously is not worth your sadness. Someone who is willing to give up her children for a man, is selfishness." She said, anger flashing in her eyes.
"Well, when we get on the train I will force Nika into the same compartment as us and then the therapy will continue!" Cove exclaimed dramatically.

Still gazing anywhere but directly at Legend or Professor Hadley, the pinkish blush to her cheeks still there, Katie had felt Legend move a little bit at her side but what she hadn't expected was to feel his hand touch hers. Without so much as a thought, she'd turned her head back to look at him, glancing down at his hand. Although she felt uncertain about it after.. what just happened, Katie knew he didn't have to offer his hand, and that he wouldn't have unless he wanted to. And though she still didn't know why he had changed his mind, she carefully slipped her hand into his, almost shyly.
It was sort of funny how after all these years, despite all the arguing and fighting and worse drama involved, Legend still.. seemed to know. Like when they were kids, and Monique had been in the hospital. She had been so scared. Or just a couple of years back, the situation with Hunter that day. Whether or not he actually knew, Katie wasn't sure but it brought a small smile to her lips anyway. "Yeah.. I guess you're right," she murmured, giving his hand a little squeeze. "But that does sound a bit scary. Living with them? They've probably destroyed my room." Lissy would LOVE that one, since it was her room too.
About those distractions? Be careful (and VERY specific) what you wish for was no joking matter, Katie quickly realized as Neptune Bott appeared at the table. Well, this.. was certainly turning out a bit awkward. Where was MAT? Forget him pointing things out, she wanted him there. Now, would be a good time. Yeah. Dark eyes glancing back toward the Great Hall doors for any sign of the Sulos boy or any of the others as Neptune passed behind them, they flickered toward her briefly just in time to catch her offered smile and return a quick, half-hearted one.
Thankfully, before Katie could react or really be bothered by the Bott's shrieking, an arm had wrapped around her out of nowhere. Tensing at first out of surprise, she relaxed almost as soon, her hand that wasn't holding Legend's going up to touch Lando's arm in a way of returning the greeting before the boy had taken his seat on Legend's other side.
And he looked very happy, for a boy who was about to lose two of his best friends from school. Leaning forward a bit to see him over Legend, Katie's dark eyes fixed on him curiously, her small smile still there as she simply asked, "What did you do?" Katie knew her boys well. He had done something.

Simon was glad when Kurumi smiled, that she was releived at his words. The seventh year touched by her concern for him and the others even though he knew of it before now. They had been close for most of her three years so why wouldn't she have been worried when he was acting strangly...Selina had and Kurumi had one year more of friendship with him to go on.
"As ready as I'll every be," he answered. His future plans still not fully finalized but he had the rest of his life to worry about that. It wasn't like he had to rush into a decision just because he was graduating when it would no doubt serve to cause trouble in the long run.
Braeden was very deeply amused, and it was obvious by the huge grin on his face, as an annoyed Ruby complained about his trollness and whacked him on the shoulder. Oh, he'd missed violent!Ruby.
And then the girl was inching in closer.
OHMYGOODNESS, could it be?! Was she about to kiss him again?! HA! He knew it! No one could resist the charm of the Goofb-- and then Ruby just pulled his hand away. Oh. Looking a bit embarrassed for getting all excited there, Braeden gave the girl a sheepish smile before glueing his eyes to the floor. Oh, Great Hall Floor… what a divine work of art, you are.
Or at least that's what the boy tried to convince himself of while he used it as a distraction from the fiery redheaded Lioness that was JUST A BIT too close for comfort.
Brae avoided Ruby's gaze after asking his one-word question, but as he received nothing but silence in response, he looked up agai--OHGOSH she was looking straight at him!
In his shock and surprise, the Gryffindork jumped in his seat on the floor, startled.
And Ruby just kept staaaaaaarrrriiinggg at him.

Oh, this was obvious. Ruby just couldn't resist his charm. THAT was why she kept staring.
Feeling confident over this new conclusion, the silly boy grinned to himself and turned to Ruby again, opening his mouth to say something only to be interrupted by the girl who was reminding him that they should get back to their seats. That they should get back to their seats! WHAT?! Wha-- Who CARED about the headmaster right now?! Oh silly boy, to have thought Ruby could've actually felt anything more than mocking amusement at that moment.
Looking rather disappointed, Braeden just stared at the hand Ruby offered him for a good few seconds before finally accepting it. But, instead of using her help to get up, he pulled the girl back down to their inconvenient little hang-out spot on the floor beside the Gryffindor table. Brae's long legs had made a few students trip and break their noses already.
"You didn't answer the question, Bubs," he complained, like a little kid who'd been promised cookies but was given salty crackers instead. He hesitated for a moment before continuing, "Y'know… this is the last day… We're probably not gonna see each other again after this. At least not for a long while," he said slowly, almost cautiously. "Can you just… tell me?"
'Cause, seriously. Leaving him in the dark for the entire summer break about that mystery kiss was probably the cruelest thing Ruby Blair could ever do to Braeden Stonem.
Brae's discomfort at her staring was obvious to her but she didn't care. Anything to save face in this situation. Expecting to feel Brae's hand in hers so she could pull him up, Ruby was surprised when the gryffindork pulled her down instead. Her eyebrows shot up as she landed messily next to him. "Brae!" the lioness hissed, looking at him like he was mad. Everyone else was sitting on the benches, there they were, sitting on the floor, partly conceived by the crowd.
But before she could contemplate this, Brae went back to his question. JEEEEZZZ, why couldn't he just forget it?! She didn't want to explain in front of all these people! Actually, she didn't want to explain at all. She groaned as he mentioned it was the last day...that was true.
And did she detect sadness in his voice? She looked up to meet his gaze as he chose his words carefully. Can you just… tell me? Ruby bit her lip and then gazed at the ground and then back at his face. She could hear students muttering their goodbyes sadly, hear a clock tick somewhere in her head. And still, Brae waited.
Never...in a million years would she have done this for anyone other than Braeden Stonem. It appeared that her annoyance with the boy was really just a pathetic yell for affection. If it was anyone else asking, she would have told them to kiss a dementor. But this wasn't just anyone...it was goofball. Her goofball. The kid who loved being tortured by her. The one who pretended to date her cause he thought it would annoy her. How wrong he was. Rubytook a big breath and then leaned into Brae once more. She cupped her hand around his ear and then whispered. "I swear if you tell anyone this, you're a dead man," She said first and foremost. And then... "I like you."
"You don't have to be great at goodbyes," Neptune twirled a curl around her finger while EVER SO SLYLY (not) shifting towards Lexi. "But we'll have to brush up on your see you later skills. It's easy, really. We'll hug, do the cheek kisses, then we'll see each other this summer." She shrugged a carefree shoulder then fingered a burned spot on the table.
Probably Lexi's doings.
"You won't be too far behind us. The last year goes by the fastest, I swear."
Lexi wasn't having it... she didn't want to say see you laters to ANY of them. "Maybe... I will leave too. And just homeschool myself the last term or something. I am seventeen now, I can do whatever I want." INDIGENCE. She had it.
The last year went the fastest? Hmmm. But it would hurt the worst saying bye to Kurumi. And some others. But yeah... Lexi shook her head and pouted some more. "We will all go our seperate ways and SAY we will see eachother soon, but we won't. We will have different lives now." Lexi's eyes teared up and her lip started to wibble.

Lexi was wibbling and half wet and MEH. But she smiled a BRIEF smile at Orlando and waved at him. She liked the kid. He was total win in her opinion, but at the moment she was thinking of ways to harm Legend without getting into trouble.

Wondering over to where he sat at the Gryffindor table, the blonde took a seat. "Rafe..."
"Hhhh." Rafe couldn't get a word out. His throat was soar and he could barely speak. He reached over for a goblet and took a swig a butterbeer. "Hey," he said hoarsely. Rafe coughed. Usually he had a quick recovery system and healed quickly. He'd never been sick before, but given recent events and a breaking heart his immune system was really weak. "How's it going Monroe?" He smiled, but it was crooked and not ear to ear like usual when he saw her.

The Malfoy headed over towards the Gryffindor table, initially looking for Ruby and her boyfriend, SuperBrae. Emma had literally jumped out of her seat when she had heard that Ruby was leaving. They had EVIL plans to complete..... But they weren't in sight? Pout. As the Slytherin headed down the table, glancing at the people as she walked past, she spotted Sebastian a.k.a Tall Person. Ahh. Mr. Seventh Year Sebastian had a lot of explaining to do. The blonde was going to miss him and they're Selena times. Ahh.. Speaking of Selena, he owed them both a piggyback. Hmm... Emma's brown eyes glanced at the people next to him and spotted his girlfriend. Right. Perhaps she wouldn't interrupt.
Turning back to walking down the table, she spotted a red clump of hair and a brown clump of hair belonging to Ruby Blair and Braeden Stonem, yet Emma didn't recognise them. Taking a few more steps, the blonde stopped an turned around, taking a double take at them. It was them! But.... Why were they on the ground?
"Hey Brae, Ruby!" she cried, with a smile on her face- unaware of what had previously occurred between her boyfriend and friend. As she raised her blonde eyebrows slowly, she laughed and asked, "RUBY! Is it true your leaving?" asked the Slytherin, beginning to pout a little. They.. They hadnt even started pranking people and causing chaos yet!! Sigh...... Wait. Merlin's Beard. "What in Merlin's Beard, are you guys doing-- sitting on the floor?" asked Emma. Not that sitting on the floor was weird or anything but the rest of their house was sitting on the benches.. Where they hiding? Had she interrupted something?

Sure there was no denying it; Josephina would indeed miss Katie Mae and Legend Chosen, but there were other students that should miss as well. She would miss those who only ever attempted one lesson of Arithmancy, just as much as those who studied it for years, or even those who refused to attempt the subject. But she wouldn't get emotional over it. If she did, then she would imagine she wouldn't last long as a Professor and she quite enjoyed her students.
"No. I enjoy all my students." Hadley corrected. "Every student who has ever attempted Arithmancy. None more than the other. You two just happened to catch my eye as I was on my way to the staff table, and as you somehow sneaked a gift into my office, I had to come give my gratitude." Speaking of staff table, what was Jacob Blunt doing up there? He never visited the staff. Strange.
And speaking of other students leaving Hogwarts, there was Miss Bott and a rather tearful Lexi Denver. Why the latter was so emotional and sensitive, Hadley would never know nor understand. "Good evening, Miss Bott. Miss Denver."
She really should continue on up to the staff table . . .
