'Sorryyy'?!
Aw man, Brae had hit his head harder than he thought. The boy could barely believe his ears, his brown eyes just staring at Ruby with a mix of shock, amusement, and endearment behind them. Shock over her apology, amusement over everything that had just happened, and endearment for the way the colour of her face seemed to be matching the colour of her hair.
"Oh, thank you," muttered the Gryffindork with a lopsided smile as Ruby helped him rest his back against the bench, beside the table. That felt SO much better.
… Wait, WHAT?!
First Ruby was apologizing, now she was helping him?! Kinda even… taking care of him?! WHAT?! (Note how Braeden finds THIS shocking but hasn't even thought about the kiss).
The boy said nothing, though. He didn't want to risk it; maybe, if he was lucky, he could get a massage out of Ruby as well. Oh, his shoulders and back could sure use one after that fall…
Anyway.
He listened quietly as Ruby explained to him what had happened. The boy had pulled a Troll!Brae by not being specific in his question, and now smirked as the flustered Ruby tried to explain what had taken place. "So it was real!" was the boy's first reaction, his bushy eyebrows raising so high that they got lost in his lion's mane hairline. "I… I thought I'd imagined that!" he went on with a grin, as if this was great new--WAIT A SECOND. He had a GIRLFRIEND. THIS WAS NOT GREAT NEWS, BRAEDEN STONEM!!
As he realized this, the boy's grin faded abruptly and his eyes covered up his whole face. Passing a couple fingers over his lips, as if to verify that the kiss had really happened, Braeden stared at the floor for a moment before looking back up at Ruby.
AND NOW, the million-dollar-galleon question! Brace thyself.
.
.
. "… Why?"
Ruby glared at his Troll!face as he confirmed her story. REALLY?! -__- He had made her repeat it, repeat that horrible mess, EVEN THOUGH HE ALREADY KNEW WHAT HAPPENED?! Okay, now she was back in Ruby mode. For maybe a a minute.
The lioness whacked him on the shoulder when he thought he imagined it all. "You're such a troll, Brae!" She said, annoyed. Well, at least no one heard them. Which wasn't any comfort as the whole hall probably saw them. Ruby scanned the crowd for a familiar face Theo, Alfie, Emma but she found none. As she turned to tell Brae this, she noticed his face--he was passing his hand over his lips as if reliving the moment or something. OHGAWWWD.
She inched forward so she was right in front of his face and then pulled his hand away from his mouth. She didn't need him making things WORSE than they already were. The look on his face, though, was funny--his eyes were so huge, she thought they might drop off his face any second. Clearly, the idea that Braeden was NOT a single man had been wiped from Ruby's brain, though she had thought about it only minutes ago.
And then there was his question--WHY? WHY?! Why indeed. But she didn't know if he was talking about the kiss, or the jamming. ...Okay, so he was probably asking about the kiss, no doubt, but she liked lying to herself; it saved her the embarrassment. Swallowing, Ruby just stared at goofball for a whole 30 seconds, hoping he might forget he even asked her that.
...
But as he just stared back at her with his big 'ole eyes, Ruby Blair sighed. She still didn't know what to say. Deep down (and I mean, deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep down), she knew that a little part of her black heart was being reborn; you could see the redness replacing that tiiiny portion. And that tiny portion belonged to the lion sitting before her--Goofball Stonem. But there was no way in hell she was going to repeat this information to him--heck, she'd die first. So Ruby thought it was appropriate to just...ignore his question. Play dumb. Yep, that always worked. Right? Right.
"Hey, I think the headmaster is going to be speaking soon; we should get back in our seats," She said nonchalantly as she got up. But as good as Ruby was at paying dumb, her face could sometimes give her away. The lioness tried to hide her pink features with her hair to no avail. Making a face, she lent Brae a hand in order to help him up. "C'mon."

Marilyn entered the Great Hall, a sense of calm surrounding her. It was official. She would be spending the summer with Carter and his family. Muggles...Something the blonde had never done before...
Glancing over at the Gryffindor table, she immediately spotted Rafe...alone. His eyes were downcast...and because Marilyn knew him so well, she knew he was in deep thought. He usually didn't like being disturbed when he had things on his mind...but Marilyn figured he'd make an exception for her.
Wondering over to where he sat at the Gryffindor table, the blonde took a seat. "Rafe..."

Legend was completely focused on Hadley and what she had to say. Which was why he didn't notice as Katie's hand was slowly brought up to the hand he had wrapped around the pendent. Instantly he felt his stomach drop and he felt as though he could not breath. He tightened his grip, feeling the cool metal digging into his skin. Was she trying to take it back? Would she take it back forever? Just like Hogwarts, would he never see both again?
Lifting his other hand, he wrapped it around Katie's wrist and tugged on it and pulling it away but not before giving it a small squeeze. "Please...stop." His voice was light and steady but inside he was freaking out. He didn't want his pendent taken away, he didn't want to leave Hogwarts. He didn't want any of it.
But of course...Legend wasn't going to tell anyone that. He was going to act strong. Like a man. Because that was the Legend people were used to. He kept his hand, on top of Katie's in face she would try again.
This time when he turned to face Hadley again his face was not so smug. It was simple. More like sad even. "I have learned that Professor. Thanks to you. You really have made an impact in how I see things." He nodded. NOW he was done with feeling sad. He just wanted to be happy. Enjoy his last days in the castle. "But you have enjoyed us more right? You can't deny it Hadley! I don't see you speaking to any other students right now!"
Apparently, Katie's fear had been justified after all. She hadn't meant to bother him, but instantly she knew she had and regretted that second thought. She had known better. She should have left it alone the first time, and yet she hadn't. Katie wished she had, very much so in that moment. Letting go as soon as Legend grabbed her wrist, she gave the slightest nod of her head to atleast show that she had heard him, but otherwise turned her head so she wouldn't catch his gaze.
It was one of those rare occasions that her face flushed, a visible mixture of regret and embarassment burning her cheeks with a light warmth. She could only hope that Hadley wouldn't notice, and that everyone else kept minding their own business. The fact that Legend kept her hand where it was only made her feel more stupid for her actions, and caused her to slip her hand out from under his and place it in her lap. She was not going to do it again.
Of all times she'd like a distraction, where were the other boys? Or maybe it was good they weren't here yet, Mat would be one of the first to point things out.

It was only then that she realised she had taken a seat opposite Nika. She looked up at her and tried to give a smile. "Um, Nika?" she said looking at her friend for the first time in ages. "You alright?"
She wan't to tell her the news, but she just coudn't do it yet. She wanted to know everything would be ok between them, even if she did leave.
Nika smiled at everyone as her eyes wandered down the table. She didn't even notice who was sitting right in front of her until moments later. She wanted to walk away from the table before Emily noticed that she was sitting here. Maybe the snakes would welcome her with them? Oh no.
If only she had escaped gotten away sooner. The thoughts were still on her mind, but she knew she'd just appear as a coward and if Nika Adler is many things, but not she's not a coward. She put on the biggest (fake) smile she could managed and said a quick, "Yep." Then looked back down to her food. There was no need to ask Emily the question because it'd just mean more interaction between the two and she didn't want to talk to Emily. This was the last chance that they'd have to talk, not including the train, and she just couldn't do it. Not only was the fight still on her mind, but it was just too sad of a topic to talk about. She's not crying this term too.

Braeden was very deeply amused, and it was obvious by the huge grin on his face, as an annoyed Ruby complained about his trollness and whacked him on the shoulder. Oh, he'd missed violent!Ruby.
And then the girl was inching in closer.
OHMYGOODNESS, could it be?! Was she about to kiss him again?! HA! He knew it! No one could resist the charm of the Goofb-- and then Ruby just pulled his hand away. Oh. Looking a bit embarrassed for getting all excited there, Braeden gave the girl a sheepish smile before glueing his eyes to the floor. Oh, Great Hall Floor… what a divine work of art, you are.
Or at least that's what the boy tried to convince himself of while he used it as a distraction from the fiery redheaded Lioness that was JUST A BIT too close for comfort.
Brae avoided Ruby's gaze after asking his one-word question, but as he received nothing but silence in response, he looked up agai--OHGOSH she was looking straight at him!
In his shock and surprise, the Gryffindork jumped in his seat on the floor, startled.
And Ruby just kept staaaaaaarrrriiinggg at him.
At first the boy felt horribly uncomfortable, passing a hand over the back of his neck absentmindedly, before he came to the conclusion that…
Oh, this was obvious. Ruby just couldn't resist his charm. THAT was why she kept staring.
Feeling confident over this new conclusion, the silly boy grinned to himself and turned to Ruby again, opening his mouth to say something only to be interrupted by the girl who was reminding him that they should get back to their seats. That they should get back to their seats! WHAT?! Wha-- Who CARED about the headmaster right now?! Oh silly boy, to have thought Ruby could've actually felt anything more than mocking amusement at that moment.
Looking rather disappointed, Braeden just stared at the hand Ruby offered him for a good few seconds before finally accepting it. But, instead of using her help to get up, he pulled the girl back down to their inconvenient little hang-out spot on the floor beside the Gryffindor table. Brae's long legs had made a few students trip and break their noses already.
"You didn't answer the question, Bubs," he complained, like a little kid who'd been promised cookies but was given salty crackers instead. He hesitated for a moment before continuing, "Y'know… this is the last day… We're probably not gonna see each other again after this. At least not for a long while," he said slowly, almost cautiously. "Can you just… tell me?"
'Cause, seriously. Leaving him in the dark for the entire summer break about that mystery kiss was probably the cruelest thing Ruby Blair could ever do to Braeden Stonem.

Once it opened the words inside were revealed and the boy's brown eyes narrowed a bit as he read them in silence.
There was no doubt that this was from Simon, so looking kind of surprised Josh looked up and his eyes found the graduating lion. Indeed, he was right. He was supposed to enjoy his last night at Hogwarts with his friend instead of getting stressed over Riley here. So, putting the note in his pocket, he left the seat and approached so Simon sitting next to him. ''How long would i be forced to spend in Azkaban if i killed him?''

What she didn't look forward to were all the good byes. So many people were leaving tomorrow that she was going to miss dearly like Finlay, Iris, Simon but probably most of all Evan.
With a small sigh Sophie came to a halt at the end of the Gryffindor table hearing Josh saying something about Azkaban. Eyes widening slightly she steered her steps towards the dark brown haired sixth year. Stopping in front of the empty seat beside him she gave him a slight nudge in the side saying "Evening Josh! Why are you talking about Azkaban of all places?" Noticing Simon beside Josh she shot him a bright smile "Evening, Simon!" Adjusting her prefect badge she slid down into the seat next to Josh.

Not to mention now there was someone else sitting next to him. Waaait! That was Sophie. Smiling at the female prefect, Josh tried to laugh off the Azkaban matter. He did not want anyone to get in trouble with himself anyway. ''Well...Hi, Sophie! I was just wondering if that place is any different from where Professor Lafay and her Slytherins are sleeping.''

Sophie turned her head to look at the staff table seeing both Professor Vindictus and Groundskeeper Stryker already seated. Turning back to Simon and Josh she asked the two "Do you guys think that Mr Stryker will forgive Professor Vindictus for kissing Madam Donovan? Neither of them looks too happy." Feeling he stomach give a small growl Sophie hoped Headmaster would arrive soon to give his speech since she was quite famished.
Having been glancing between Kurumi and the direction Josh was to see his reaction to the note, Simon's eyes met the other boy's just a moment or two after the sixth year looked over at him. He waited with baited breath but was glad to see him respond by moving closer. Drinking a sip of water from a goblet when Josh got there, he nearly choked at his friend's remark. "Um...probably a real long time and not a good o--" he answered breaking off any further remarks as they were joined by Sophie.
"Good Evening Sophie," he spoke, returning her greeting. Simon remaining quiet as Josh answered her question about Azkaban, biting back an amused laugh at the words that were given and the prefect actually believing what was being said as the truth."I would certainly hope so..." he answered the question regarding the staff members as he glanced at the two there. It still all seemed a little odd especially since it involved the issues he himself had been involved in with the pirates and such.
Deciding to try and change the topic, he opted for a mutual issue. "So close...but not close enough eh?" he asked refering to the house cup. They had been in the lead for soo long and the Slytherins swooped in for the kill at the last possible moment.

Emily was still looking at Nika and her mouth twitched upwards as Nika replyed. It fell again as she said the one word answer and stayed scilent.
She pushed her food around her plate, suddenly loosing her appertite. She understood. Nika was still mad at her for leaving. Well if she wanted to act like this, Emily would play ball.
She took a sip from her drink and smirked. "I was researching France in the library before. It has a lot of historical places I'd like to visit. Educational." She didn't mean to try to wind Nika up. She just wanted to have some fun before she broke the news. She'd been misrable all year! She deserved to mess with her friend for a bit!

"You know Emily that's great for you, but right now I just want to eat." Then she looked back down to her empty plate. Okay make that "just want to drink". She looked at her water goblet then sighed pushing that away as well. Nika looked around the table desperate to find someone else to talk to. This wasn't fair. Why was Nika always the one to be put into situations like this. Emily knew that this was upsetting her and yet she kept talking about it like she was rebuilding her new life there already, and she hadn't even moved yet!

Her smirk disappeared for a moment as Nika spoke. Yep, she was getting mad. Mabye she should just tell her. "Your plate's empty though." she pointed out. Haha, she was the smart one remember Nika? She pushed her plate full of food away from her and looked around the hall. "Anyway I said I would like to go to those places. Shame I'm not. Probably a long time and not a good one? That might actually worth it!!!
Well...
Um...
Josh looked and blinked at Sophie as she suggested that Azkaban was way worse than the Slytherin Dungeon. Well...in actual perhaps it really was but if one happened to ask Josh those facts of life always tended to change. Yet, he did not want to start an intense discussion about his ideas of the Dungeons. Especially Detention Dungeons. The place did definitely not scare him however...it was extremely boring and dark and a bit cold. This boy liked will-lighted, warm, social places. ''Well...since i don't like the dungeons, then, regarding your words, i might not like Azkaban, either?''
Possibly not or...eh, he had visit there yet, had he?
Smiling some at the lioness again, the Gryffindor boy nodded as a responce to her request of changing the topic. Talking of Azkaban reminded him of that certain coward so yes, it was better if they had changed the topic. But...Vinny kissing Madam Donovan? And the Groundskeeper not forgiving him or not. ''To be honest i don't care what Vinny does. He is the biggest Ravenclaw here after all.'' Yes, exactly. Josh did not like Ravenclaws. ''And coming to the case you have asked about, i would NEVER forgive anyone at that case. NEVER, i say. Yet above all, apparently Madam Donovan needs other guys that are worthy of her...'' *ahem* ''...whatever.''
Yea, time to change the topic again. Simon was right.
Staring at his bestie again, Josh raised an eyebrow as at first he couldn't get what he was talking about, yet following his gaze, he saw the hourglasses and...YES! He could break the hourglass by hitting that coward's face at...*ahem again* Whatever. Apparently he seriously needed to calm down. Breathe in and breathe out!!! Still looking at the hourglasses for a moment or so, the boy turned back to the captain ''They stole it from us.''
"Ravenclaws aren't the only ones that think you know," she said and then stuck her tongue out at her bestie. She didn't really perk up much as Tuney came over, either.
She knew she was leaving. And APPARENTLY, without her notice... Legend Stupid Chosen was seated near her. UGH. "It's a look of disdain. You should recognize it, you give it enough," Lexi said and then turned her body away from Legend's general direction.
Neptune was entirely unfazed, and unconvinced, by Lexi's words. She sat up tall, tossed her hair, and put her Bott nose in the air. "If I didn't know better, I'd say you were grumpy. Are you grumpy? Do you need me to hex someone?"
Giiiiiiggle. Now WOULD be the time to hex someone... so what if she lost points, right? And NEWTs were done...
She scanned the table for Josh. La la la giggggggle.

Carter headed down the Gryffindor table looking for one particular person. He wasn't close to many of the graduating class, but there was one particular person that he wanted to make sure he said bye to.
Finally he spotted Simon.
"Capt'n." he said giving his mate a good friendly smack across the back. "Can't believe that'll be the last time I'm saying that to you."

BIG HUGE DRAMATIC SIGHS FOR LIFE!
Turning to look at Neptune she pouted a bit. "Not too grumpy, no. I am not great at goodbye's though. I was gutted last term when Sabel left... and now YOU are leaving... and Jim and Finn and even Ivan. It's got me sadface."
Lexi Denver has feelings, thank you very much. BIG complicated feelings. "Hex anyone you want... you can't get in trouble since you won't be here anymore." ANGST.

She pushed her plate full of food away from her and looked around the hall. "Anyway I said I would like to go to those places. Shame I'm not. France does seem quite beautiful, but I guess I'll just have to stick with this castle..." Again her smirk disappeared for a moment, but she put it back on and looked up to see Nika's reaction.
Nika let out a small little grunt when Emily pointed out her plate was empty. "Well if you would give me a minute you'd see that I was going to fill it. I was just waiting for everyone to arrive before I put food on it. It would be rude to eat without everyone else." She looked up at Emily and gave her friend a smirk of her own. Yeah she wasn't really happy about this. Merlin there she goes again. "STOP! You think this is funny, messing with my head? Think that joking around is really appropriate right now? Do like making me angry Emily? Some friend you are. You know what, on second thought I'm glad your going to France!" And with that she picked up her plate to find a real friend to sit by. Maybe at the slytherin table or something. Juts some where far away from Emily.

Possibly not or...eh, he had visit there yet, had he?

Simon was glad to hear that Josh seemed to have some sense that Azkaban wasn't a good place to be, but one could never be fully sure what Josh was thinking in that mind of his. He just hoped his friend would stay out of too much trouble. At least, as he had pointed out to Josh earlier, Riley would be gone so that was one less reason the incoming seventh year would have to act out when he returned to school next term.
He frowned as Josh went out against Professor Vindictus admitting that he would never forgive him if he was in Stryker's place. "Josh, it wasn't exactly him being ...himself" he remarked sticking up for the quidditch official. "I'm just glad I didn't do anything as crazy myself during that time," he added. Talking like a pirate and swordfighting and dunking Simon the hufflepuff in the lake was bad enough in his opinion.
Ok maybe not the best subject change but...meh. Simon couldn't help agreeing with his friend, but he was a bit more civil about it. "Guess it wasn't meant to be again," he mused with a shrug. He didn't get a chance to say anything more when he was swatted on the back causing him to turn to look to who it was, the voice saying his title clue enough.
"Yeah...and certainly something I'll be missing from you folk," he remarked in half jest with amusement. As much as he enjoyed the time as captain, it had truly been a lot of work.
Nika let out a small little grunt when Emily pointed out her plate was empty. "Well if you would give me a minute you'd see that I was going to fill it. Emily had not been prepared for that. Her mouth dropped open, her drink slip from her hand and tears formed in her eyes.
She wanted her to go away? After all they'd been through? She woudn't miss her at all? This wasn't how it was supposed to go. She'd been dropping hints that... "I'm not going!"
Emily was on her feet, still holding her empty goblet. She didn't care if people looked, she didn't care if people were listening, Nika needed to know. "I'm not going to France anymore." Her face was red and her fists clenched as she looked Nika right in the face. "But if your glad I was going, mabye you should try to convince my mam to take me back. Oh wait! She's ran off again!" She wanted to scream and cry. This was not how it was supposed to happen...

Had Nika given Emily the chance to speak she would have regretted everything she said, but she had already gone towards the Slytherin table before Emily spoke up. Nika didn't even look back. She had trusted Emily with everything and even when the bit of her wanted to make up, Emily had to tease her. She knew her words would have been hurtful and normally she'd feel guilty about saying them, but she had meant everything. She wanted her words to sting so that Emily could know how she felt at the moment. It was the end of the term feast and all Nika wanted was to be happy, but that feeling was long gone.

"You don't have to be great at goodbyes," Neptune twirled a curl around her finger while EVER SO SLYLY (not) shifting towards Lexi. "But we'll have to brush up on your see you later skills. It's easy, really. We'll hug, do the cheek kisses, then we'll see each other this summer." She shrugged a carefree shoulder then fingered a burned spot on the table.
Probably Lexi's doings.
"You won't be too far behind us. The last year goes by the fastest, I swear."

to Katie mostly... and that ravenclaw...and that tempermental gryffindor

As Katie moved her hand away and placed it in her lap. It was like a sudden realization. He was not only pushing her away. But allowing his LAST moments at Hogwarts to be filled with sadness! When he had arrived at the castle seven years ago he was not the normal scared looking first year. He brushed it off, looked at the whole new setting with excitement. And now that he was older...he was doing the exact opposite.
Slowly but surely, Legend's grip on the pendant relaxed until he was no longer holding it. he let his hand drop, before reaching out for Katie's hand which was in her lap. "Hey I was thinking. You know. We were fine before Hogwarts...so we'll be fine after....except now we actually have to live with the little monsters." Legend grinned- a real grin. He had already decided this, but the last night had made him change his view on things.
But now he saw.
Leaving Hogwarts...was sad. But they couldn't let that sadness get to them. He couldn't stay in the castle forever. And the years he had, had in it had been good.
Plus. Legend Chosen, was not suppose to be sad in front of people. He had a reputation to uphold.
Legend reached for his wand with his other hand- yeah he had felt the small pat on his back. And sent a spray of mist in Neptune and Lexi's direction. Because he wanted to say hi to the Bott. And he just had to bother the Denver girl.

*sappysapper* MAJNOO, YO!
It was a great day, wasn't it?
It was. It totally was. No doubt about it. Orlando walked or well half swayed over to the Gryffindor table with a wide grin plastered over his face. Lovely lovely lovely day, indeed.
And everyone he liked/loved were at the Gryffindor table. OPAAA!!
Noticing KT, he came up behind her and wrapped his one arm round her and gave her a quick hug before moving next to Legend and sitting down. "Hellooooo" And not far away from them at all were Miss Bott and Lexi Denver. Bowing his head gently, he greeted them too with a "Ladies,"

Cove was so into eating her food that she hadn't noticed that she was sitting near friends. "Emily? What happened?" She asked with her mother partially full. She didn't look okay and after seeing Nika walk away, she knew something was up.

Had he heard that right? Was Simon seriously trying to claim that Vinny was innocent about this...thing? No one walking on earth could be innocent if they were trying to get some other's love. No one. And no, Josh was not going to death glare stare towards that certain direction. He definitely did not want to see whatever those two were doing. Because he knew his own anger management problems. He did not want to cause any chaos. And of course he had not forgotten Evelyn's pretty attempts of protecting the coward and there was no way Josh could go against her.
''Yeah.'' so he said doing his best not to look towards the Slytherin table. ''That is always the first excuse if one wanted to clear his trail. Either that or...'' NO! No looking at that direction! ''...the 'we are friends lie'.'' Eh...maybe he should not have said that last sentence since he felt anger inside him rise again, yet he took another deep breath to collect himself. Hopefully, Simon had uttered other words to distract him from the thought. ''You are glad you did not do anything as crazy? Are you sure that is you, Si?''
