Zara grinned wide, "Oh, okay. Then it's really nice to meet you, Sophie." It did seem weird to call the Prefect Sophie. Just wrong, she had to have some title, it seemed that they were equal. Zara pouted, then immediately smiled. In her mind, she'd call her Ms. Prefect. All is good as long as she doesn't say it out loud.

"Yup, we've met. Tayla, another first year, introduced me to her." She smiled. "Hogwarts is awesome! The teachers seem weird, but they're different so I like them. Chainsh--I mean, Shaw is pretty weird but he seems nice. Team Shaw!" She grinned. Team Shaw was awesome. It was their team--the Gryffindor team. Hihi, Chainshaw liked them. "Then, Professor Lafay seems strict, but everything's good as long as you stay on her good side. And, Ancient Runes was, well short. But I enjoyed the homework. Owled it to him yesterday night." Zara narrated, as she scanned in her head all the classes she'd attended so far. "Oh! And Arithmancy was okay, I like the professor, Professor Hadley's very patient. I still wonder why her head isn't exploding with all the numbers. And the History of Magic class was like a party." Zara giggled, as a freshman, she still found the board with colors cool. It lighted as soon as you said the name of the House. "I guess that's about it for now. My next class is Care of Magical Creatures."

'Yeah, that must be it.' Ari nodded, eyeing the many different types of food on the table. 'I wonder how the house elves can do all this.' she pondered.
'Ah, sorry about that. It must be annoying to have to answer the same question over and over.' she replied, feeling a tad guilty.

'Oh, I see.' Ariadne could totally relate to that. 'We need change.' the firstie nodded. 'Although I kind of pushed the boundaries for the sake of change.' she laughed. 'I come from a family of Ravenclaws, and when the Sorting Hat hesitated between that and Gryffindor, I begged to be put here.' Ari explained. 'Just to be different. That doesn't mean I don't respect the family tradition, though.'

'That was very suspicious. I wonder what these Ministry people want at Hogwarts. I wish there was a way we could find out what they're up to.' Oh, yes, Ari would've loved a bit of adventure and suspense. 'Say what you will, but I still don't like Shaw.' she shrugged.

'Yes.' the girl nodded in reply. 'In fact, can I tell you a secret?' Ari didn't wait for Sophie to reply to that and went on. After all, if you couldn't confide in a Prefect, who could you confide in? 'Last summer, on Diagon Alley, I have made lots of friends, from every House, but only one Gryffindor. I was very worried I wasn't going to integrate, as it was the House where I knew the fewest people.' the little one confessed.

'I'd love to have siblings. Are yours older or younger? Studying at Hogwarts as well?' Ari started questioning Sophie. 'I can't wait to play gobstones, it sounds like a lot of fun. My mum told me about the game. And you love to read? Very few people admit to that. I do, too.' Ari smiled. 'Don't you play Quidditch? Everyone here seems to be crazy about it, except me. Flying is not my forte.' the child admitted. Maybe she had more in common with Sophie than she thought.

Ariadne listened carefully to Sophie's explaination and was amazed by how down-to-earth the Prefect was.

Zara grinned, she was wondering too about the same thing. Amazing, those house elves. "Yeah, I wonder too. Maybe a trip to the kitchen would do the trick...later." She wondered aloud. Right! Tayla promised to take her and Ari there. "Heyy! Tayla's been there, and she told me before that she'd take you and me there someday." Zara's grinned widened as she remembered Tayla's promise.

"No, not really. It's kinda nice to remind myself once in a while that my name's really Danielle. Or else I might forget about my life at home...which is not likely. But, just in case." She replied, and picked up her spoon and played with the plate. Slightly making clinking sounds.

A change. Yes, that's good. "Ohh, that's brilliant. Keep it up, Ari. Stand out from the rest." She winked at her friend. It was brave of Ari to do make that decision. Then again, this bravery is probably the reason she was put in Gryffindor.

Zara giggled. "Finee. Hihi. But our group at his activity is called Team Shaw. He likes us red people." She said, in hopes of reminding Ari that Shaw liked them from the rest. It was a plus factor.

Rosemary smiled as she ate, her owl Athena coming down with a letter in her beak, "Hey 'Thena.... Help yourself..." Rosemary bade with her toast as she plucked the letter before reading it, a smile appearing on her face slightly.

'Hey, Rosemary!' Rose said as she sat down. 'Oh, Hazel!' Rose cried as Hazel flopped down on the table. As she read the letter she wondered if her parents were proud of her!

Rosemary smiled in return before looking at Hazel, "The poor thing..." She cooed as she let it have some of her food with her owl as she read her letter, "Anything good?" She asked.

'Nah, just stuff like Butters OK...' Rose missed her guinea-pig Butter.... 'Do you have any other pets? Thanks,' Rose said meaning about letting Hazel eat some food.

"Our old family cat, Feline....." Rosemary answered as she bit into her pancakes, "Sibling number four on the way apparently.... Family's proud I'm in Gryffindor though slightly worried about Shaw and Christiansen."

'Why?' Rose asked whilst eating some cereal

Rosemary looked confused, "Why what?" She asked.

Aww Fee was the farthest from evil now that was soo cute."And you say that about a Slytherin",the blonde wiggled her eyebrows,"how could i ever be evil to you?".The little one was much too adorable to be evil to.The girl wrapped you around her little finger faster than you knew.But there definitely was something in Ari's eyes that made the third year giggled,she was up to something.That firstie would surely cause some laughter.Hehe.

Ohh wait,how cool was that?!Was Ari really asking her to be partners?Beaming widely the Slytherin nodded excitedly at the little Gryffindor."I would loooooove to ",she said,"do you already have something in mind?"Now the girl knew what she would be doing before going to sleep,thinking about pranks without consequneces.Or better thinking about pranks which Lafay will never find out.Yees.The third year was really proud of the little one hearing her talk all confidently.Good Lion."These new mystery teachers are totally weird",the blonde nodded,"i dont know why they are evern here."What a pitty the rumours about the Centaur teachers wasnt right.Mordred?Mordred?Fee thought about that name intensely but couldnt find any infortmation about that guy in her head."Unfortunately not",she shook her head,"but i am sure he is a great guy,seeing he is friends with a great girl."

Like usual Ember went to meet Rose at the Gryffindor table, she sat next to her. " Roosee hello, how are we today." Ember grabbed the nearest goblet of pumpkin juice and downed it in one. "Ah that was refreshing, i swear i have run a mile from the herbology greenhouses."

Ronnie walked up to Chris. "Hi, Chris. Can I sit next to you?" she asked, with a smile. She had really been hoping to make friends with Chris, he seemed like a real awesome person.

Ronnie walked up the the Gryffindor table. She was starving, and couldn't wait to eat. The table was quite empty, except for a fellow first year and Gryffindor, Zara. Ronnie rubbed her eyes and walked sleepily towards her. "Hi, I'm Ronnie Weasley. Can I sit next to you?" she asked, smiling. Maybe this was her chance to make a friend.

Somehow Sophie got the feeling that Zara was displeased with just calling her Sophie which was weird since everyone could see that she was a prefect. Sophie wore the badge pinned to her clothes and she had one more than occasion told the students in her house. There really was no need in her eyes to call her Ms Prefect it felt so formal and weird, in a position of danger though she might argue otherwise.

Before Sophie could say anything more Zara started to describe in full how she liked the professors and lessons she had taken so far in the term. The lioness agreed when it came to the ministry sent Professor Shaw whom she had seen in the lesson cutting his name into the blackboard with a chainsaw. "Erm, yes I agree. Shaw is definitely something out of the ordinary. Professor Lafay is strict yes but also fair. You will do well in potions as long as you said remain on her good side. The potions mistress isn’t called a dragon lady for nothing. Her temper can change swiftly."

Ancient Runes prof who was that? Oh right the Viking sophie remembered and asked curiously "Didn’t you enjoy being decked out in a Viking costume?" the lioness had not lined up to get put into a Viking costume since it had been a bit too revealing for her taste. Giggling Sophie nodded "Professor Hadley head won’t explode I assure you. She is holding the gobstones tournament this year so you should try participating when the matches start if you are interested."

It was a nice feeling she had to admit to have younger student's who trusted her and looked up to her as a mature house mate which they could share secrets with. Sophie listened intently as Ariadne confessed that she had been afraid that she wouldn't integrate into the house since she before Hogwarts had only met and befriended a few gryffindors. Sagely the lioness replied "I think everyone worry about integrating into their new houses when they get sorted Ariadne. I know i was nervous and worried about that when i came to Hogwarts but a senior student took me under her wing and I settled in without too many bumps." The prefect hoped that would ease the 11 year old's mind.

Thinking about her siblings a pained expression passed over her prefects face but was quickly replaced by a smile. "I have two siblings Madeline (4) and Robert (8). Neither of them are old enough to start Hogwarts just yet but my mother has signed Robert up to start in a pre-hogwarts school when becomes 10 so that he will know a little about school life before coming here." Ariadne was a booklover like herself. Smiling Sophie asked "What kind of books do you like? Romance, Fantasy?" Shaking her head in the response the prefect explained. "I like Quidditch and I'm fairly good at flying but no i do not play quidditch. Tryouts and matches has so far never meshed well with my prefect duties and studies. So i don't tryout for the team." Curious she couldn't keep herself from asking "Why isn't flying your forte, Ariadne?"

"Hi, Ronnie. Nice to meet you," she grinned, though she found her name unusual. It seemed more fit for a boy, though. "Sure, come sit beside me. Food's really good." It sure was. Zara'd been eating too much. Oh well, guess she'd need the energy to go through all her classes. "How are you, Ronnie?"

Zara nodded as Prefect Sophie also shared her opinions in class. Shaw was still awesome in her mind, though his face showed all signs of weird expressions. Then Lafay, ah yes. Professor Lafay was scary, but Zara managed.

"Nah, I didn't go in line. The costume wasn't very...inviting." She said, as she made a face. "Gobstones tournament?" Zara blinked, wow, she was totally clueless. What was gobstones tournament? Like triwizard? No, probably not.

Alicia giggled and raised one of her eyebrow when Nika mentioned Emily. "Who's Emily?" Allie instantly asked. But Allie agreed with Emily somehow. She nodded and chuckled. Her eyes were rolling at Nika's new pink hair. "It does. Yeah!" She chuckled again. "Emily's right. You know. What a bubbly head you are! so pink matches you." She laughed. She literally spoke whatever came up first in her mind without having a second thought of it. Alicia liked Nika's bubbly and cheerful personalities. It made her happy whenever she's around. "Preciseleyy!" She shouted, agreeing that nobody had to keep track of days when they are at Hogwarts. It's so true. "I'm dandy!" She gave Nika a huge grin. "I went overseas with my family over the weekend." She shared a little bit of her story before she asked Nika back. "So how are YOURS?"

Jordan had just left the Common Room, when he realized he needed food. By golly, how would he ever forget food? So for breakfast he headed towards the gigantic doors of the Great Hall and grabbed a seat in the Gryffindor House table. He didn't know what he was going to do today, before classes. Perhaps, I should write a letter to my uncle? Or at least visit Max. Jordan had been so busy, that he forgot to visit him for a couple days because of all the school work he had.

He looked around and saw a fair number of Gryffindor's talking, but he thought it'd be best if he just get some food for breakfast. After all, he had a busy day ahead of him. So he went and grabbed some food and Pumpkin Juice and was ready to start his day.

'Oh, hey Ember!' Rose called as she saw her twin sit down. 'How are you?'

Ella grinned, waving her fork some more.. 'cause she could. 'Yeah, everything's fine!' She ate a bit more of her salad. 'It's just pretty rubbish being a first year!' She pushed her pasta round the plate. 'I just feel.. stupid.' Then she looked up at Nika, grinning. 'Believe it or not, I wasn't so bad at the Muggle school.'

Ariadne smiled when Zara expressed her enthusiasm at the possibility of going to the kitchens. 'I've been there already. The elves are very busy, so I just took some food, and left. Besides, I can't just ask them if they really like cleaning and cooking, it would be impolite..' she sighed.

'Do you miss home?' the firstie wondered, as her new friend mentioned her first name represented a kind of link between her and her family. Sure, Hogwarts was exciting, but sometimes Ari did miss her mother, the rest of the family, her Muggle friends, not having to share a room with others..Not that the girls in her dorm weren't great, but privacy in general was something one could hardly ever have at Hogwarts.

Ari chuckled at her friend's comment. Yes, it felt good to stand out from the crowd. But sometimes, however, it was better to just blend in. And then Zara started arguing in favour of Shaw again. 'Yeah, I suppose you're right. So if we're attacked, like he suggested, we'll be the last to die as he'll sacrifice every other team first.' A real bonus, hehe.

Ari smiled broadly. Now she was really convinced that Fee liked her. Ariadne wasn't as cute as other children her age, being very tiny and pale,and not as cheerful, but she compensated through her personality.

'Oh, that's wonderful!' the tiny girl was beaming, as her Slytherin friend agreed on plotting together. Did she already have something in mind? Hmm...'Er-I am really intrigued by the Humpbacked Witch Statue on the third floor.' Ari was sure Fee knew what she was talking about. 'I can't believe the passage is blocked, it would be fantastic if we could unblock it somehow.' the girl lowered her voice as she spoke. 'It's supposed to lead to Hogsmeade. Honeydukes, I think.' she added.

However, it was highly unlikely that they could actually do something about that. 'But we should probably focus on something else.' Like changing Lord Borr's nameplate on his office? Nah, not feasible either.

'Someone said we'd have a Centaur as a Professor? That would've been fascinating!' As it was, they just had Chainshaw Shaw. 'Oh, he's...' Ari hesitated for a while, not very sure about how to better describe Mordred. 'He's an interesting person. You'll probably meet him soon.'

Ariadne noticed that Sophie was a very good listener. Probably a useful quality for a Prefect. Her attitude just prompted her to keep talking; it was easy to share personal information with Sophie. 'Thank you for that. I thought I was the only one having this problem. This older student you mentioned-did she already graduate?'

Ari smiled as her housemate was talking about her siblings. 'You miss them a lot while at Hogwarts, don't you?' Maybe. How could Ariadne know, anyway? She was an only child. 'Pre-Hogwarts school? That must be great, though I must confess I haven't heard of anything like that before. Did you attend it too?' the firstie wondered.

'I like a bit of everything. But my favourite books are not literature ones, but historical. I love History of Magic, and Muggle history as well.' the little one explained. 'Which are your favourite classes here?' she wondered.

Ah, so Sophie did like Quidditch. 'It's a pity you don't have the time to play'. Ari answered. Thinking how to best describe her fear of Flying, she finally decided on saying: 'I just don't trust a piece of wood keeping me up in the air.' It came out sounding very childish, though.

Fee coulnt help but smile back at the little girl,she really had grown to her and the blonde would look after her.it was sweet how Ari got all happy when the Slytherin agreed on plotting with her.It surely would be a lot of fun and everyone needed some fun from time to time.Hehe."Ohhhh the humpbacked witch statue",the girl wiggled her eyebrows,"thats a fantastic idea.Imagine if we had our own and personal way to get to honeydukes wnehever we want to."But this could get a little difficult and to hard for the little lions first prank.But that didnt mean they could try it at least.Mhhh...what else?!"Do you have someone you cant stand?",the girl asked smirking,"we could colour her or his hair purple,or her hands."Sounded pretty good,hehe.It was something easy to start with and test opuit how far they could go and it was highly amsuing.

"Yeeees last term there was a lot rumours about centaur professors",the third year nodded.Why did they bring these mystery teachers and not the centaurs?That didnt make sense aaaand these mystery teachers were scary and weird and just not as cool as the other ones.Siiiigh.Gladly it werent too much.Soo Ari's friend Mordred was interesting?Interesting could mean aynthing,now the blonde really had to get to know him.hehe."I cant wait",she smiled and nodded.It was always nice to get to knwo new people,especially if they were friends of your friends.

"Oh she's a second year Gryffie too. She's one of my good friends! You should meet her Allie! I should introduce you to her." Nika said happily. They were both great friends so they should meet each other! Emily might be too calm for Allie's liking though. BUT you never know. A bubbly head? Well that ones new. "Overseas! To where?" She asked her friend curiously. Nika was having such a hard time keeping track of the conversation. It went from Hair, to how are you, to overseas, to how are YOURS. "Wait how are mine what?" She asked dumbly.

Nika chuckled a bit at the comment. "I thought first year was amazing." She said nodding. "At least you guys have an excuse to be stupid!" She said matter of factly. "I'm the stupid one. I don't like to read the textbooks and I'm a muggle born. I don't know anything about magic! Whenever I answer a question right it's out of pure luck." She said laughing at her own patheticness. "No worries though. If you think your stupid hang out with me more often and we can be stupid together." She said with a smile.

"Yeah, you're probably right. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to visit it soon." She smiled.

Did Zara miss home? "Yes of course, I miss my mum and dad. I always do, even when I was still at home. Because they come home from work late ever since they went back to assuming their jobs at the Ministry." But of course, Zara still had a reason not to miss home. She'd always been alone back at home, with the exception of her homeschool teacher and servants. But Zara felt it wasn't enough, she didn't have any friends. The only friend she had left Godric's Hollow because his family moved to another place.

Zara giggled at Ari's comment about Shaw. "I guess you might be right. Or he might let us fight first since we are supposed to be the brave ones." Now that was a down side of being a favorite. You never know if Shaw would have you attack those attackers or if he'd keep you safe and let the others be sacrificed.

Alicia was excited that she was going to be introduced to Emily. She had always enjoyed meeting new people. "That'd be great! Hope to see her soon." She exclaimed, smiling widely at Nika.

"I went to Hawaii." She giggled. Hawaii was the first word that came up in her mind. She had always wanted to go here. Maybe one day. "Hawaii is amazing. You can see all those hula hoop girls." She laughed, trying to make her made-up story sound real.

She paused for a minute after talking bunch of nonsense, figuring out what exactly was the topic they were talking about. Allie laughed whilst looking at Nika's confused face. She was confused herself.

"So......." She started to speak again. "How was your term break? Did you do anything fun over the holiday?" She grinned at her best friend.

"Yeah Emily's really nice! I'm sure you two will get along!" She said excitedly. Two of her great friends were going to meet! YAY!

"Hawaii." She repeated, "COOL!" Nika opened her mouth widely in awe. "I wish that maybe someday I'll be able to go to Hawaii! I've never seen any pictures but I've heard it's just to die for!" She said repeating words that she heard some others at school use before.

"Well I did go to france for a bit, but that's really it." She said with a sigh. "But I'm just so glad to be back at Hogwarts! It's going to be so much fun this term!! Even if we are going to have a lot more work." And they already did.
