Before Nessie could even ask Zara what she was doing she felt her feet lift off the ground. Nessie screamed a real loud girl scream. Then Ness giggled a small giggle. "What...what are doing?' asked Nessie calming down though starting to feel a bit dizzy. Zara was deffinately crazy but Nessie loved that about her.

"Me? I'm not doing anything. I should ask you the same question. What are you doing riding a magic carpet?" Zara grinned, but Nessie didn't see of course. Then she began to walk towards the huge doors and out the Great Hall, with Nessie on her back. Where was she going? Who knows?

"Nessie!" giggled again "Well can you at least tell me wher we're going" said Nessie wanting to know at least that. Nessie let Zara carry her hoping she wasn't going to drop her. Nessie wasn't the lightest thing.

Zara stopped walking and tried to act all serious. Then she turned to face Nessie--well half-turn. "Nessie. I'll be taking you to the lake. I'm sure the giant squid would love to have a new friend. And you need a good splash."

Then Zara continued to walk, in the direction towards the lake to freak Nessie out a bit. She surely needed a good laugh--or probably a good scaring.

Arabella-Marie wandered into the great hall and took a seat at the gryffindor table and looked about she was hungry but wanted to make new friends at the same time

"What I'm really gonna get sick if you put me in there" said Nessie starting to have a panic attack "And I can't swim" Nessie lied because she really couldn't afford getting late especially not now.

"That's okay, Nessie. I'm sure the friendly giant squid would help you swim." Zara cheerfully said as she began to hum a tune. Lalalalala~

Then deciding that she's made Nessie heart panic too much, she let her get down from her back. "Still feeling sad?" She asked, well teased. "You know, I can always carry you back and really put you at the lake." She grinned as she made a motion to pretend to carry Nessie again.

Nessie smiled Zara always knew what to do. "Nope not really!" said Nessing adding another smile to reasure her. "Well I kinda need to sit now I'm feeling a bit dizzy from all that carrying" said Ness giggling and gratefull that her stomach wasn't full with food or she could have barfed.

Ariadne nodded curtly and gave a smile. 'Hi, Rosemary, enjoying the food?' she kind of shouted from the other edge of the table. Keeping her voice down this time, the firstie told her friend 'See you in class!' and concentrated on her delicious pancakes.

Ariadne chuckled. 'Yeah, I love pancakes. And cookies. And chocolate. Anything sweet, basically.' Yeah, that was true. No one had such a sweet tooth like Ari.

'My favourite uncle does the same. I must've gotten this habit from him.' she pondered, taking a huge bite of pancake with chocolate. 'I don't like honey on them, though. Too sweet, even for me.' she giggled.

'What's the plan for later?' she asked Tayla, who seemed to be the group leader.

'For a Slytherin, you sure do spend a lot of time at the Gryffindor table.' was Ari's way of greeting her favourite Slytherin. 'Hi, Fee, how have you been?' the child asked.

Ariadne turned to Zara. She was Tayla's friend, but other than that, Ari knew virtually nothing about her. So she decided to start a conversation: 'What are you eating there, Zara? Have you tried the pancakes? They're delicious, like everything here. Don't you just love Hogwarts?' Yeah. Better end with a question. After all, questions were her speciality.

Rosemary nodded emphatically for both the question and the statement.

"Oops, sorry." She said with a sheepish smile. Then she led Nessie back into the Great Hall and made her sit at the chair of the Gryffie table.

"I'm eating everything." Zara grinned. Well, she actually was. She got a large serving of almost everything they served. "Yeap, these pancakes are delicious." She said while she began munching on the pancakes. "I sure do! Hogwarts is making me eat a lot, though. I guess that's a good thing." She grinned. "You're Ariadne, right?"

Nessie sat down a bit with her head in her hands." I'ts Fine Thanks" said Nessie her voice trailing away. She was falling asleep and before she knew it she was completely out.

Ronnie walked into the Great Hall, feeling tired. She had been up all night studying Quidditch (again). She found a spot near the end of the Gryffindor house table that didn't look too full. She sat down by herself, and started deciding on the many delicious foods in front of her. She looked around and saw people with their friends talking and laughing. She wished she had a friend, but didn't know how to really make one. She sighed and began to grab what she was hungry for.

Nika returned the hug instantly. Allie! Nika missed this girl far too much. "Hey girl!" Nika twirled a strand of her newly dyed pink hair around a finger. "Notice anything new?" Eh, eh? Nika was practically jumping out of her seat she was so excited. Finally one of her great friends was with her again.

"Hey!" She replied. "I MISS YOU SO SO MUCH!" She said excitedly. "Oh, yeah, of course!" She giggled. "Your hair?! Geez... What's happened with your hair?" She pretended to be shocked as if her hair just got burned or something. She grinned. "I like your hair, by the way. Nice hair! It suits you well." She withdrew her right hand forward to touch Nika's pink hair. She couldn't believe that Nika was actually brave enough to dye her hair pink like that. Now Alicia thought of dyeing her hair blue. She loved blue so much. She never dared to dye it into a strange colour. But now, after she saw Nika's hair, she really wanted to give it a try. "So how's your life Nika?" She asked. "How long have you had that pink hair?" She giggled playfully.

Aww Nessie fell asleep. Zara decided to take out her book from her bag and began reading as she rested on the seat beside Nessie.

When Nessie woke up about half an hour later. She slept kinda well and luckily had not a single dream. Nessie's cheeks went bright red when she realised where she was she was way too embarresed. She then felt Zara leaning on her and she saw that she was reading a book. "Im sorry!' said Nessie hoping her cheeks would go back to normal. She sat straight and tried to wake her self up properly.

Fee just sipped on her pumpkin juice as she heard a familiar voice.At the sound of it the blonde squealed."Ariiiii",she turned around and hugged one of her fave gryffindor firstie.Such a sweety."Oh guess why i am at the Gryffindor table?",the third year wiggled her eyebrows,"i was looking for you of course."That was really true,the Slytherin wanted to hear about the little ones first day.Fee kinda made it to her task to protect Ari from anything evil to make her days at Hogwarts nice for her."I've been good",she nodded,"and you?"

'Hey, Ember' Rose said as she sat down and put some pancakes (yum!) onto her plate. 'These are nice aren't they!' Rose said 'What do you think of the transfiguration teacher?' Rose was terrified of the man so wondered if Ember was also.

She could've sworn someone moved. Zara felt that Nessie, who she was leaning on moved. Oh, she had woken up already. "It's not a problem, really Nessie. To be honest, I enjoyed reading for half an hour. I just realized that I haven't been reading much since I got here all because of the exploring I'm doing. It feels kinda nice once in a while to just read and not talk all the time." Zara explained and smiled. There was really nothing to be embarrassed with. Besides, Nessie had gave Zara what she wanted: time. This was the first time Zara did something without the need to go one place to another. She liked it that way, just being with her friends and knowing they're there for you while you're enjoying a nice morning just reading a book and relaxing."

"Oh well I'm glad you weren't bord" said Nessie smiling. She was still feeling kinda weak but a bit better. "Which book are you reading?" asked Nessie realising that she still needed a book to read. She had no books to read and Nessie was the type of person that always had to have a book to read.

"It's about owls, nothing interesting really. But I like it, it makes me know more about my Eirwen." She said, sitting straight now, her elbows resting on the table as she continued to read.

Nika laughed at Allie's reaction. Hehe. She wasn't the only one who reacted like that. Even Emily was shocked. "Thanks! Emily says it really goes with my personality, but I don't really know what she means." Nika said giggling. "My life is absolutely wonderful Allie! We're in Hogwarts it's got to be!" She replied cheerfully. She reached over to grab a spoon full of mashed potatoes. "Well a week before the train left." She said not knowing exactly. Who needs to keep track of days when your at Hogwarts haha. "Soooo how's your life?"

Matt stumbled into the Great Hall, dragging a slightly mental Zara behind him. The waft of smells hit his nose like a tidal wave, and he physically had to restrain his mouth from dropping open, or the great cavernous room could've been filled with the first year's hungry dribble.

Swallowing, and spotting a couple of free seats on the Gryffindor table, he turned to look over his shoulder at his fellow Gryffie. He grinned, almost impatiently, desperate to fill his gut with the warm taste of pancakes. Or waffles. Or both. He tugged at her arm, indicating for her to follow, before letting go and setting off at a sort of gangly run. Drunk giraffe, definitely.

Though Zara's laughs were tuned down into chuckles, she still couldn't help herself and seemed like a drunk 11 year old, since she keeps stumbling on the floor or bumping in the walls while they were going down headed to the Great Hall. So Matt had to drag her all the down or else she'd be kissing the floor by now, rolling in laughter. Once they entered and Zara inhaled the aroma of the food, her chuckles ended. ALL RIGHT, IT WAS FOOD TIME.

Matt turned to grin at her, and she grinned back. They were thinking the same thing: time to stuff our faces. And so Zara sat beside him and got all the food she could ever lay her hands on. Soon her plate was overflowing with food. It had three fluffy buttermilk pancakes, scrambled eggs, link sausages. Also sitting on her plate was two ham sandwiches and three butter croissants. And to top it all off, Zara also got some breakfast potatoes and some steamed oats. Today, Zara decided to try the hot chocolate that the school offered, instead of her usual pumpkin juice. Oh and she also got Treacle Tart with golden syrup and black treacle to go with it.

She didn't really bother right now if she ate like a pig. Who cared anyway? She was hungry and food was in front of her. But of course, she was raised as a child of manners.
