Arabella-Marie smiled and said "Yeah i do like music just have a poor singing voice" Arabella-Marie was hating the fact that they werent learning any defense spells in dada this year

"Well I may have to employ you as my fan for Lord Borr's assignment" Aurora laughed. "My friend and I are going to ask Professor Tate if we can start a DADA study group if you're interested." Aurora asked. "Music is kind of my life, that and potions." she smiled at Arabella-Marie.

Arabella-Marie grinned and said "Of course i am interested Aurora i hate the fact that we are not learning to defend ourselves and well qudditch is my life i love the sport"

"Brilliant! I'll let you know when we know more about it. Though even if he says no then we'll probably still do it." Aurora smiled. "Oh, Quidditch, I'm useless at flying. I like watching Quidditch though, are you going to the game? It's not a Gryffindor game but you should still come."

Arabella-Marie grinned and said "Thanks Aurora and of course i am going to the game"

"Awesome!" she grinned and finished her jam sandwich. Pouring herself a glass of pumpkin juice and looked to Arabella-Marie. "So what's Christmas like here?"

Arabella-Marie smiled and said "It's awesome and the great hall is always really well decorated for Christmas and if there is not a lot of students staying over the holidays then they can be invited up to the staff table but i am not how many students are going home over the holidays"

"What about the food?" Aurora asked greedily. You'd never know by looking at her but she ate whenever possible. "Not sure they can beat Kittsa's Christmas cake..."

Arabella-Marie thought and said "Well plenty of turkey and all the trimmings as well as christmas cake and pudding and anything else you can want"

"Mmmmm, it's a miracle I'm not drooling already." Aurora said, laughing a little. "The elves here are good I suppose." she shrugged. Not as good as Kittsa so far though. "Just so long as the roast potatoes are amazing the rest of the dinner just falls into place." she said. "So is there any particular reason you're staying for Christmas or are your family just as dull as mine?" she asked.

Arabella-Marie smiled and said "Well the reason i am staying is because my mum hasnt been too well and she is not wanting me to catch whatever it is she has got so i am staying over christmas and at easter"

"Ahh, that sucks. Is she at St Mungo's?" Aurora knew only too well what it was like to have family members in the hospital. "I'm staying because my parents will be working and it will be the first time I'll be able to celebrate stuff away from home." She drained her glass. "Like I said though, I'll be visiting my brother so they might be there."

Arabella-Marie smiled and said "She was she just got home a few days ago, she currently awaiting the results of the tests she had done so i have no idea how long she will have to wait for the results, well at least your getting to visit your brother i dont have any brothers or sisters and my dad is saying that i am not going to be allowed to visit for the sake of my own health"

"Aww, I'm sure she'll be fine. St Mungo's is pretty good." she smiled reassuringly, what on earth was she doing? She'd never reassured anyone before; it just wasn't her thing. "Well, I have an older brother and an older sister. It's not great, my brother, Kryspin, managed to convince me he was a ghost at one point when I was young and then put one of my own potions into my drink." she scowled. "Its just lucky I could smell it. I love him anyhow though."

Arabella-Marie smiled and said "Thanks Aurora and yeah it makes me glad that i don't have anybody doing that to me i do confess that my dad spoils me a bit"

Aurora nodded. "Third child syndrome." She pointed to herself. "They have a successful daughter, they have a troublesome son, they don't need another daughter getting in the way so they let me do most of what I like." She grinned wickedly. "But they're pretty strict when it comes to etiquette. Merlin forbid that their children show them up in social situations. And there's no way I could get away with bringing a muggle born home. Not that I'd want to." she scowled.

Arabella-Marie nodded and said "Yeah i think i get what you mean Aurora and yeah i am friends with muggleborns but i never bring them home it just doesnt feel right to me"

"Mhmmm, deep running pureblood prejudices." she shrugged. "I'd probably be disowned if I brought a nice little muggleborn boy home to Mother and Father." she laughed.

William comes to eat here again. He is waiting for Rose and her girlfriends.

Nika walked to the Gryffindor table with a slight scowl on her face. Usually she was the one who was always happy and perky. The overly cheerful one. But not today. Not after what had happened with Emily. Although her talk with Samira did seem to make her happier she was still not feeling up to her normal self. She felt irritable. Sad, lonely, and angry all at the same time. She smiled at Arabella and walked over to take a seat by the girl that she recognized. She didn't want to sit alone. She didn't even want to talk, but she just needed to know that she had someone familiar beside her. It gave her comfort.

She was not very hungry and had no desire to eat, but she knew that she should because it wasn't good for her to starve herself. So she got a spoon full of mashed potatoes and began chewing. She caught a bit of Arabella's conversation with someone that she didn't really know. It was about muggleborns. Not good things though. Why did everyone hate them? Nika didn't get it. Nika looked at Arabella and raised an eyebrow. "You-you don't like muggleborns? Bu-but I'm a muggleborn Arabella." Could this day get any worse? She woke up feeling sick to her stomach because her best friend was going to leave her and now she just found out that Arabella didn't really like muggle borns. Nika was not feeling good at all.

Geez this girl looked miserable, if she started crying Aurora though she might explode. Everyone was so miserable lately and she was trying to keep them happy when she had ever right to be the most miserable of the lot. "Nika, right?" she said, remembering when she has been unceremoniously hugged against her will by the girl. "She never said that. We were talking about family prejudices. Not our own." Although her own were pretty similar. "So cheer up and stop looking like you're carrying the whole world on your shoulders." she said, a little snappy.

Arabella-Marie smiled at Aurora and said "Yeah but hey my parents aren't as strict as they used to be so i may get away with it" Arabella-Marie turned to Nika and said "Hey Nika of course i like muggleborns i mean some of my good friends like you are muggleborn"

Rose walked in with Ember. 'Hai, William, this is Ember... Yeah, Ember, I know you'd be angry if I didn't introduce you!' Rose grinned at Ember.

"Mmm," Aurora nodded. "My parents are... just the epitome of pureblood pride." she said, shrugging. "My older brother once brought a muggleborn home and they sent her away, grounded him for months and sent a few nasty curses in her direction. Though I think the curses were for something else... I didn't really understand then." She laughed a little. "But now I take extra care to listen to the politics of their high society." She said dramatically, then giggled.

" Helllo Ember" Wiliam told her. "What is good to eat today?" Wiliam asked Rose and Ember.
