Emily smugness vanished to be replaced with laughter. "Um, I dunno. Pritty silly thing to do then, huh?" she laughed. "Ah well. It will always be here, as a mark I was here!" That, and the award she was planning on getting for reading the whole library in 7 years!

"Impressive..." she nodded as Elaine duplicated the cup. She had known that spell though
"Oh! That got banned because one arrow pierced the ref through the nose..." she sat up on the bed not tired anymore. "I read it somewhere. Just 'cause I don't care for quidditch dosn't mean I don't read about it. Did you know there are over 700 way of commiting a quidditch foul?" ...Yeah, she knew a lot of useless facts.

Emily turned to the other older girl and smiled. "Uh, yeah I did..." Her tiredness had seemed to vanish and she brushed her hair away from her eyes. "It's fine with me if you wanna join in! I'm Emily by the way. Second year."

"Really, thanks. It's been a bit since I've been able to play, but I love soccer." Cove said. "Cove Brett, fourht year. It's ice to meet you Emily."

Arabella-Marie sighed as she finally found her pyjamas down the bottom of the trunk and sat on the edge of her bed she missed her parents and wished that somebody would talk to her

"Nice to meet you too Cove!" she smiled at her. Cove. Nice name. "I never really played 'till Nika tought me. It was really fun until it started to rain." But then they'd just jumpe in puddles, so that was still fun.
"So Cove, what are your hobbies?" Random question, but ok.

"Yeah, it's still a shame it got banned though. When my brother showed me it, it was really cool." Elaine smiled. "I knew there were a lot but not the precise number."

"Really? I've kind of only played beach soccer, but I've played on an actual field with one of my adoptive brothers. I love playing in the rain, I've done that before, too. But I mostly slide in the mud puddles." Cove smiled. "Um, well I'm a major surfer. I've competed many times all over the world. I play violin and piano, I love beach soccer and beach volleyball. Oh and I love photography!" Cove explained. She ticked eached one off on her fingers as she went along. "I think tha's about it. What about you?"

"WHAT?!?! Well being born in the wizarding world is anything but dull where I live! The muggle world is the dull one. It's not exactly 'exciting' being born there." She couldn't believe that being born in the wizarding world would ever be "dull". Well maybe it was the way wizards saw things, but not from Nika's perspective.

Nika laughed, "Yeah it is a sport! One of the best in my opinion. Plus it's a lot easier to play compared to your 'Quidditch'. Although I wouldn't really mind learning how to fly and playing that too." Nika smiled. "Well it's a muggle sport where your completely on the ground at all times and you kick around a ball and try to get them into a goal." Easier said than done.
Nika nodded her head. "Yeah you can go ahead and throw them away. I'm not really allowed to eat so many sweets with my dad being a dentist and all so this gives me the perfect opportunity." She explained even further.

Nika giggled at their opposite taste in subjects. Nika would like charms if she were any good at it. Potions would be alright if dragon lady wasn't teaching it. Herbology would be good if Nika was interested in it. She has her reasons for everything. Hehe. "No really it was all because of your lessons. Even the professor was worried about the green shade I was turning. It didn't go very well, but at least I got through it in one piece right?" Thank Merlin. "It's a deal." Nika smirked as she reached over to shake Emily's hand all businessy like.

"Oh I'm sure the headmaster will be fine with it! Just don't mention your in Gryffindor because he isn't too happy with us at the moment." Nika recalled the feast when he took those 15 points away from the house. "I really hoep we can catch up though. We won the cup last term and I plan on earning points to help us win again this year." Nika said matter of factly. "We can't loose our bragging rights!"

*When Matilda finally woke up she was happy and a lot better mood and her stomachache had gone away*

Matilda: Hi girls.What did I miss?

'You think so? I really hope so. My brother is really sick and I hope he doesn't get worse. And if he is destined to get worse, I hope I'm with him atleast. He's my adoptive brother and we're the closest out of all ten of us." Cove said sadly. She needed Weston to get better. Losing him would be like losing John and she wouldn't be able to live if she didn't have John. "Oh that's not good. Ok I'll be sure to not tell him. I hope we win again!"

Janet's first impression about the dorm was AWESOME. It was filled with girls of all ages. "Excuse me, where should I put my things ??", she said.

'Oh, phew!' Rose mocked wiping sweat of her face. 'I'm looking forward to lessons! Are you?'

"Yeah, I know a lot of useless facts about anything and everything!" she laughed kicking off her slippers again. "For example: All seven hundred fouls were committed during the final of the 1473 Quidditch World Cup."
She tried to move the cup she had stuck to the table, but of course it would not move. "So, what are your hobbies Elaine?" she asked putting her hands in her arms like she was about to hear a bedtime story.

Emily all of a sudden sat up very straight. "You have adoptive brothers?" she said biting her lip. "I have adoptive parents." she sounded slightly excited about this. "Sorry, but I'm just excited to meet someone who also knows what it's like..." to have adopted poeple in your life that is.
"Oooh surfing sounds fun!" Well it would be if she didn't have a massive fear of water. "And photography! This castle is the perfect place to take photos of as it's so beautiful!" She should try that some time and show her parents. Not that they'd be interested, but still.
"Well I love to read! I read anything and everything! My ambition is to try to read the whole library before I leave school." Not that she'd do it though, that library was HUDGE! "I also like practicing new spells. Not really a hobby but..." she shrugged "I also like writing and eating sugar quills! Again not really a hobby but..." she giggled.

"Aw!" she said jumping on Nikas bed and giving her a one-armed hug. Her tiredness had just melted away. "And yey, more football! I'll wear the shirt you got me!" It was so soft! "Also I wanted to know if you wanted to come over to mine this summer. I know the term has just started but best get permission now before we forget." She bounced back over to her own bed and pulled out the 'encyclopedia of dragons' Nika had gotten her. She'd almost finished it!
"Also, are you going home for christmas?" she asked not looking up.

"Sounds cool! You could teach me about it!" Elaine grinned.
"Do you know much about Quidditch?" She would love to help Nika out with anything to do with Quidditch. Hopefully she could convert her to becoming a fan of the Appleby Arrows.


"Useless facts are fun," Elaine laughed.
"Me? I like Quidditch, the Appleby Arrows are the best! I like being with my brother, and sometimes the goblins, and when I go to my Aunty's, I like reading muggle books!" She grinned. "Oh and playing with Happy!" She added after a second.

Ariella turned to Matilda. "You didn't miss much, I can tell you that. We've all just been spending time getting to know each other."

"I have adoptive parents and nine other adopted siblings. THere's only two that were related, but they were in foster care and when their brother graduated law school he took them to be with him and moved to England. Let see, her name was Halle and Lydia. Their brother's name was Shin." Cove nodded her head as she said the last part. "Surfing is my entire life. I've traveled and competed all over the world. My friend that's in Hufflepuff is the same way." Cove said. "I wish I could do that as well, but it's so big, and that's including the restricted section!" Cove exclaimed. "Ooooh, new spells are fun! I would consider that a hobbie. And eating sugar quills. Writing, I don't do a lot of that, but I do a lot of composing." Cove pulled out her sheet music. "It's called 'Brother', because it's for my brother. Kind of stupid, but I like it." She smiled.

"Ah, so I take it you might try out for the quidditch team then?" she asked IF she was as good on a broom as she implied.
"Oh you like reading as well! I love it! My ambition is to try to read the whole library before I leave!" In 6 more years. But it was soooooooo big, she doughted she'd be able to do it.
"And what lessons are you looking forward to?"

"Nine!" she exclaimed. That was one big family!
Then she sat up curiously. "Halle? I know her! She was my friend last year..." before she left. Emily missed her.
"Restricted section!" she cried snapping her fingers "I forgot about that." She didn't know how to (or if she wanted to) read some of the books in there, but she'd cross that bridge when the time came.
"I just write short stories. Nothing big." And she didn't do theat very often. "Composing sounds good! Are you gonna play if for him on the piano or the violin? I wish I could play an instrument." She used to be able to play the guitar a bit, but it was her sister that could do it well.

"Yepp, there's a lot of us!" Cove said. "Really? Halle went here?" Cove missed Halle a lot, they were pretty close. "Actually they go together so what I was ging to do was record both parts and then combine them. My friend John's a computer nerd." Cove smiled.

"Yeah, didn't you know she went here?" Emily asked curiously. Strange, she though Halle would have told her.
"Oh that's a really cool idea! Combining them I mean. Is it like a birthday present of something?" she should do something like that for her sister. Mabye a video of Hogwarts?
"So Cove, what year are you in? I don't think I've seen you around before."

"No after they moved to England we didn't hear much from them. I think it's because her brother was traveling with them a lot. But, contact stopped after awhile. I miss her we were kind of close." Cove smiled a little. "Actually, he's really sick. He's got leukemia. Weston always liked it when I played the piano or the violin so I'm combinig them." She smiled sadly this time. "We're hoping it goes away forever this time, but it's been coming back since he first got it, so no ones really sure." Cove explained. "I'm a fourth year. Yeah, my first year here, i kind of feel like a first year."

"Same here!" Ginny smiled. She wasn't normally a competitive person, and she didn't like to be either, but she hoped that whatever came of these Quidditch tryouts didn't interfere with this hopefully budding friendship. "Do you know when we're supposed to start classes?"

Ginny turned to the lonely-looking girl sitting on a bed. Reminiscing to when that was her a few minutes ago, Ginny extended her hand. "Hello, my name's Ginny. Are you a first year, too? What's your name?"

Arabella-Marie smiled and shook Ginny's hand and said "Hi Ginny, I am Arabella and i am in my third year but i always have time for first years"

'That's an excellent life plan.' Ari nodded. 'I am so confused about what I'd like to do. To be honest, I find wandmaking fascinating, but I have no idea what it takes to become a wandmaker, and haven't heard of any women having that occupation. An option for me would be the Ministry, I guess.' she pondered.

'Wow, I didn't know that, thanks for sharing.' Ari replied. It was great that Rosemary trusted her with such information. 'I found her friendship with Dumbledore very interesting. What else do you know about that?' the firstie asked.

'Selina...Serena, yeah, I get it.' Ariadne smiled.

Ariadne turned to the girl that had just woken up and said cheerfully: 'Good morning! I hope you had a good night's sleep, 'cause there's a big day ahead of us.' Gosh. She sounded exactly like her mother. Not a good start. She shouldn't freak people out from the very beginning.

'Anyways, you didn't miss much, we were just chit-chatting, getting to know each other.' Ari explained. 'I am Ariadne Marchbanks, by the way. And you are?' she introduced herself and waited for a reply.



Ariadne looked around to see who was asking. 'You must be a firstie too.' she smiled at the girl. 'Basically, I guess you can choose any of the remaining unoccupied beds.' she replied,scanning the room. Yes, there were a few beds left.

'So, what do you think about Hogwarts so far? I was very impressed by the feast. The ceiling in the Great Hall is amazing. Of course, I have read about it in Hogwarts: A History, but seeing it in reality is a thousand times better. And I was extremely nervous about the sorting, but it went well in the end, I'm proud to be a Gryffindor.' And a chatterbox. 'Better stop talking now.' the girl thought, and smiled sheepishly, waiting.

Rose walked into the girls' dormitorie and sat on her bed. She pulled out her book Quidditch Through the Ages and lead down to read. 'I wish I had someone to talk to' she thought.

Rosemary pondered, "I think you would need an apprenticeship with a wand maker to know all the woods and creatures that make a wand then have basic business skills."

Rose blushed with a chuckle, "I'm willing to bet it was more though?! I mean.... According to some documents that we have so far found about her... She held great respect for him... But there's sill a part of the house she lived that no-one's stepped in...." She then lowered her voice further, "Except me..."

She then smiled about the Selina - Serena tie in.

Rosemary chuckled, "Me too and Quidditch trials!"

"That's great! Maybe we could practice together sometime!" Ariella replied. "And I actually have no idea when classes start. I would suppose sometime today or tomorrow."
