It's a cool and windy day in March. The winter snows have finally melted and the Hogwarts grounds are wet with occasional muddy puddles. Suddenly, Professor Vindictus appears and his boots make a sloshing sound as he strides across the soggy grass to the center of the Pitch.

"Welcome to the third game of the season! Today should be an exciting one between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Please give your teams a round of applause as they take to the field!" he announced.

On cue, the gates creaked open and the athletes took to the air as the crowd roared to life. As the players warmed up, Vindictus checked the rosters and tucked them away in his officiating robe pocket. For fifteen minutes, the athletes warmed up before settling into position overhead. The Bludgers and Snitch were released into the air and the Quidditch Official took his position in the sky with the Quaffle in his hands.

"I want a clean game from both Houses. Remember to play your positions and try not to seriously maim each other," he said. "On my whistle . . . one . . . two . . . TWEET!"

A shrill whistle was heard and the Quaffle was thrown into the air. Suddenly, the Chasers zoomed into action.

Simon De Simpson tucks the Quaffle under his arm and zooms forward . . . he dodges a Ravenclaw defender . . . De Simpson passes to Penny Laughgood . . . she catches it and zooms forward . . . Laughgood swerves past a Ravenclaw defender . . . she raises her arm and passes to Isobel VonHue . . . she makes the catch and zooms ahead . . . VonHue enters the scoring area . . . she raises her arm and she shoots . . . DING! Isobel VonHue scores the first points of the game for Hufflepuff!
