Default Fun Under the Sun

<3Thank you Karla for the beautiful graphic!

Gazing out upon the lagoon you are reminded of just how perfect and beautiful nature can be. The crystal clear water of the lagoon beckons you to take a dip in its tranquil waters. Whether it be just your tired feet or for a full on splashing swim, the water is at a wonderfully fresh temperature with depths that vary from very shallow to deep enough to dive in.

Schools of bright fish are seen darting here and there and more than one turtle is seen lounging in the afternoon sun at the water’s edge where the lagoon is fringed with sandy beach and flattened rocks are found perfect for sunbathing.

Feel like jumping in? Why not use the ever convenient rope swing your prefects installed precisely for that reason. Rocky easily climbable out-croppings frame the lagoon's clear water, providing the ideal location to jump safely off of. And let’s not forget the waterfall that slopes in such a way that it could easily be used as a water slide.

But that’s not all the lagoon has to offer. Explore the hidden cove behind the waterfall where beautiful coral decorates the entrance and fluorescent algae embellish the cave walls drawing your attention to the amazing sea shell mosaic of the Black Lake against the far wall.

Truly, this abandoned paradise is a fitting end for your adventurous quest.

As Theo approached her, Alfie seemed to be hyper-aware of the boy, suddenly very quiet as she waited for him to fasten the necklace around her neck. She waited patiently and tried her best to ignore the few butterflies that seemed to be having a tea party in her stomach. As he announced that it was done, the girl gave a brief smile and turned around to face him, releasing her hair and pulling it forward over her shoulders. "Thanks," she murmured as she did so, her right hand absentmindedly finding the locket that rested comfortably just below her collarbone.

She followed the boy as he began to lead the way towards the waterfall, squinting just slightly as they reached the roaring waters that sprayed a mist of water ever so slightly as it cascaded down. When they finally made it into the cove behind the actual waterfall, the blonde could fully admire the sight of it and her smile widened. It was even better in this cove. It was a bit more shaded from the warm rays of the sun to relieve them from the heat, but allowed enough sunlight in to sparkle off the algae and many rocks. Alfie stood right behind the waterfall, glad that it was a bit more quiet from this angle. She admired the water that cascaded down, her large blue eyes gazing up at the top of it before following its journey down to the lagoon. The breeze off of the speed of the water gently played with her long blonde hair as she curiously reached out a delicate hand to touch the water gently, her smile widening. It was then that she seemed to realize the boy she was sharing the cove with had gone awfully quiet, and she turned to him with an amused smile. "Are you alright, Theo?" she asked softly, noting how he stood so still with his hands behind his back.

Uncomfortably chewing on his tongue, mulling things over, Theo smiled suddenly and shook his head. "I-I'm alright, I'm fine," He assured her, his hands still clamped tightly behind his back. Was he being obvious? Or did Alfie just have really good radar for these kinds of things? Either way, it was unnerving him and making this task even more monstrous than it already was. It's only a few words, He told himself, Spit them out and take it as it comes. Go with the flow, as Brae says.

Yes, He decided, turning to face the rock face and pretending to examine the pretty rainbow colors reflecting off of it. I might as well grit my teeth and do it... now!... now... NOW! Closing his eyes, Theodore took a deep breath, making sure to exhale slowly and steadily before he opened his eyes and made an about-face. Unclasping his hands from behind his back, the teen took a few small steps forward, leaving a couple of feet of distance between he and Alfie. "I..." He began. His gaze raked the ground as if a script to follow would be spelled out for him there in a formation of the pebbles that lay stationary. Twining his fingers together, they twisted about nervously as he dared to make eye contact.

Man up, Dumble! His conscience told him. It's do or die, now.

Taking one last final breath, Theodore chose his words with the utmost precision. "Do you ever have something to say but find it hard to put into words?" It was a start. A meek start, but a beginning nonetheless. If Alfie didn't know by now, then she would realize what was going on in seconds.

Alfie flashed the boy a weak smile as he assured her that he was fine. And yet, he still seemed to be nervous. Her eyebrows rose at this, watching as he seemed to grow even more stressed, turning away from her to examine some rocks. Her mind searched for any possible explanation to his sudden change in mood, glancing out at the waterfall once more as it continued to throw a nice breeze her way. She didn't want to bother the boy or make him feel like he had to tell her whatever it was, and so she remained silent, deciding that if he wanted to let her know, he would. Before she could develop this theory any further, the boy was moving closer to her, taking a few steps in her direction with a sort of determined look on his handsome face.

Alfie couldn't help but stare at him as he did so, her large blue eyes focused on his expression shamelessly as he began but quickly trailed off. She flashed him a small, amused smile, feeling a bit sympathetic that he was finding it so difficult to tell her soemthing. And still, she had no idea what it could be. What could possibly be so hard for him to announce? It was then that he asked if she ever had something to say, but didn't know how to put it into words. Her blonde eyebrows rose at the question, and she flashed the boy a small smile, "Yeah, sometimes," she admitted to him softly, analyzing his expression curiously. She couldn't help but wonder what this was all about. Very suddenly, she thought, just for a second, that maybe this could...possibly, sort of, maybe...be about...the two of them? A whole army of butterflies swooped into her stomach, swirling around before she very quickly decided not to get her hopes up. What if this was about something completely different? She couldn't let herself get all worked up, when in reality he could be trying to tell her about something entirely different, like what he ate for breakfast! Okay, maybe that wouldn't make sense, but still...she didn't want to get her hopes up. And so the girl quickly tried her best not to make guesses about what he could be trying to say, though she was suddenly very curious.

Her large blue eyes never left his expression, the slightest glimmer of hope still somewhere in the back of her gaze, the butterflies still swarming though she attempted to calm them down in fear that this could indeed be about the boy's breakfast foods. Instead, she focused on helping him tell her in the first place. "You can tell me whatever you need to, Theo," she assured the boy softly, something she wanted him to know in general about their friendship. If he had something he needed to get off his chest, he could always tell her. "I promise... I'm not the kind of friend that laughs at you," she flashed him a bit of a grin, rather amused at even imagining her laughing at him. It seemed impossible.

Alfie's kind words only made the tenseness in Theodore's arms and shoulders feel even tighter. She didn't know, did she? Was all lost? Maybe she wouldn't dare laugh at him, but would she run? Theodore figured that pretty Miss Port wasn't that type. She would at least have the distance to let him down easily before leaving him to wallow in humiliation and later, avoiding him at all costs. He blinked a few times as it felt like his heart wasn't just racing, but was pumping along so quickly that it nearly felt nonexistent. His face looked rather stony; he could feel it, so he forced his jaw to unclench. Prolonging the moment would only make it worse, he figured, so he'd better get it all out now.

Alas, his hands were a distraction, a physical manifestation of his awkward anxiety over what he was about to do, the social suicide that he was about to commit. Taking one hand out of the knot he had twisted his hands into, Theo took it to the back of his neck and held it there, forcing himself not to break the gaze that he held with Alfie. "Alright..." He began, as if bracing for rough emotional impact.

"I..." Theo glanced at the water cascading behind Alfie, irritating himself in the process. No! He had to do this properly! If he failed, then he knew that he gave it his all. "When I'm..." It was as if it was instinct; his gaze had fallen to the ground to stare at his bare feet, his naked toes looking back at him, mocking him. One more time. Let's try this one more time, Theo couched himself, meeting her gaze once more. This time, his mouth hung open, but no words escaped.

Roughly removing his hand from the back of his neck, he determinedly looked at Alfie for what he was sure was the final time, blue eyes gazing into blue. "I think I like you. I... I don't think, I know." He heaved a deep breath, as if he had just survived a blow to the head from a muggle boxer and had stood his ground. They weren't kidding when they said that romance was a battlefield. "I... I just thought you should know," He added. Theo's instinct told him to approach her, but he held back for fear that she would back away, or run. Just in case she couldn't handle Theodore Dumble: Love Machine and missed Theo Dumble: Awkward Boy Wonder.

Default Hahahaha Theodore Dumble: Love Machine!
Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor

Every moment that ticked by only seemed to mock the both of them, Theo for not getting out what he wanted to say, and Alfie because as each moment passed she had to repress the hope that he was admitting something about her. She felt foolish and silly, already bracing herself for a let down, as she was 99% positive that his words had nothing to do with her. And yet, she still hoped. She was having a continuous battle with her own butterflies as they raised her heartbeat and she tried her best to not get her hopes up. It wasn't working. She was hoping.

With every glance her way and every beginning to a statement, Alfie felt herself hoping more and more, her curiosity growing as he continued to attempt to tell her. And yet, it was really showing him difficulty. He was really having a hard time admitting whatever it was to her, and not only did she feel bad for the poor boy, but she felt all the more anxious as she waited. If it was about her or about breakfast foods, she just wanted to know! And as he started for about the fourth time, she almost expected him to back out entirely. That was, until he actually let out a sentence. A very important sentence, and then another one. So that was...that was two sentences that left Alfie completely silenced. And then, of course, as though he had simply told her the date, he mentioned that it was just something he thought she ought to know.

It took a moment for these words to register with the girl, as the whole battle between butterflies and girl had to pause as she listened, and in that moment the entirety of her nerves seemed to stand still as it stunk in, her expression blank. And then, in the same way that a crowd does after a particularly good point made by their team, the butterflies seemed to erupt in joy and her heart started to beat very rapidly and her cheeks went a bright pink shade. Her large blue eyes fell to the ground beneath them, studying their bare feet for a moment before her gaze returned to his own and the warmest of smiles lit up her entire expression. Alfie took a couple of slow steps towards Theo, her large blue eyes never leaving his own equally as blue ones, until she was standing right before the boy. "You know you like me?" she repeated very softly, the warmest of her Alfie-grins remaining on her expression, assuring the boy that his words were in no way being rejected. She had to look up at him from this proximity, but not too much, and broke the gaze only to glance at his hands. She very gently allowed both of her delicate hands to pick up one of his own, thinking back on how he had fidgeted nervously before he told her. Examining his larger hand, she turned it over a couple times in both of her own before returning her gaze to the boy in front of her. "You got awfully nervous to tell me...like you weren't sure of my own feelings," she pointed out softly, letting a gentle pause fall between them. "But I was completely sure that I was utterly transparent in my affections for you," she added, her voice falling even more soft, hardly audible as she let out what she had been thinking about since they'd last met.

"But I was completely sure that I was utterly transparent in my affections for you," she added, her voice falling even more soft, hardly audible as she let out what she had been thinking about since they'd last met.
Silence fell around them, for what felt like the hundredth time. A small voice inside of his head told Theodore that even if the inevitable let down was coming, at least he had given it a try and hadn't weaseled out of his plans. The only sound that roared in his ears was the water cascading a few feet away, but even the noise of water crashing onto rock faded away as Alfie approached in a way that wasn't discouraging but rather... positive? The Ravenclaw dared not to hope for the best, for what his heart ached for but what his mind thought was impossible. Those two small sentences had taken a lot out of him; Theo nearly felt as if he truly had participated in last weekend's game against Slytherin, and as if he had been the bludger, as well.

As if fate was mocking him, Alfie stood nearer to him than she ever had, nearer than any female in a non-threatening capacity had. Was this real life, or was this just fantasy? As if Merlin was testing him, Theodore's eyes widened as his hand lay in hers. Alas, her words now didn't seem to increase his anxiety, but only to soothe it. "I-I wasn't sure," He breathed, smiling softly as he realized that he had acted a fool all along. Didn't her shameless staring indicate something? Theo could have laughed with relief, but instead he stayed right where he was, slowly becoming more and more comfortable with their close proximity to each other. "I was a hopeless, clueless fool," Lowering his gaze, it landed on the locket that gleamed in the soft light near her collarbone and then lowered to her hands, which grasped one of his. Bringing his other arm up, Theo held one of Alfie's hands in each of his, his movements not at all hesitant now. Things felt like they had changed so quickly but in reality, it had taken a while for things to come to a head like this. Now that the climax of their affections had come full circle, it felt like new life had been breathed into the sixth year and into their friendship, which now would inevitably be something more. "Forgive me for taking so long, won't you?" He pleaded, managing to crack a small smile as he gazed down at her, the beast in his stomach purring contentedly.

Alfie gave an amused shake of her head as Theo mentioned that he hadn't been sure of her feelings, completely amazed that she hadn't been entirely transparent as she had feared. It was then that he softly admitted to being a 'hopeless, clueless fool', something that got her blue eyes to widen with amused disbelief, "No," she immediately contradicted softly with yet another shake of her head, causing her long blonde hair to move with her. "The Theo I have grown to like very much, is definitely not a fool," she assured him with the warmest of smiles, glancing down at their hands as the boy before her gently took one of hers into each of his own. She could immediately feel the warmth from both of his hands and stared absentmindedly at this before his words broke the silence, asking forgiveness for taking so long.

The blonde then looked up from their hands, her large blue eyes staring up into his expression, taking in every part of it with the warmest of grins spreading across her features. She let out a soft, chiming chuckle as she reflected on his words, not daring to break their locked gaze. "Of course," she immediately replied gently, a sort of happiness seeming to shine from her entire expression. "But I don't see any need for you to be forgiven, Theo," she added with a bit of a grin, glancing down at their hands once more before returning her gaze to the boy before her. "In fact, I probably should be thanking you for saying it first," she added, her soft tones playful as she smiled up at him. "If you hadn't...who knows how long it would've been before I admitted anything!" Embarrassed, the blonde gently allowed her forehead to rest against his chest, successfully hiding her expression from him. "Just staring at you," she mumbled to his shirt, her cheeks going another shade of pink as she reflected on her previous discussions with Theo. She'd pretty much just stared, who knows if she'd completely embarrassed herself or not!

She sat down near the water and took her shoes off, stuffing them inside her bag, which contained her towel, her wand and a few other things. It kinda sucked that Fee and Freya weren't with her, but she couldn't find them anywhere and there was no one she was missing out on this just because she wanted to wait for them. Nuh-uh. No way.

Then she pulled her top over her head and folded it neatly, placing it on top of her bag, then it was followed by her shorts, then her necklace. She didn't want them getting wet...she didn't bring extra clothes with her...

Then she jumped in, splashing a couple of people nearby. She quickly muttered an apology, smile on her face, hair, matted and stuck around her face and a healthy pink flush on her cheeks. Thank Rex for teaching her how to swim during first year. "This is so much fun!!!" She said loudly as she laughed
Heather sighed as she trailed behind Cass. Cass may not have noticed her (NO, not because she was small. it was evident with Cass that the girl was really enveloped with having fun at the place.) but she didn't mind one bit. She was seeing a side of Cass she rarely saw and she really liked to see this side a lot.

She decided to just watch, since she couldn't swim herself and sat down beside Cass's other things. It looked lonely, but she didn't fancy bringing Mr. Panda with her or else Cass will rip the poor doll apart or Seraphina. That cat despises water....and sand.

Had he imagined a light flutter in his chest as Alfie had said that he wasn't a complete idiot, or had his heart really trembled with giddiness? The sound of her laughter only made him even feel more at home. Something about Alfie's voice, or her entire self, made Theodore feel more content than he had felt in a while. For now, worries about school, family, and friends seemed nonexistent as they stood together in the cove, as if in a moment suspended in time, while the real world went on around them. Alas, he knew that this moment wouldn't be able to last forever and that they must walk back together, leaving this momentous time behind. Time turner for two, please?

As her head softly lay on his chest, which rose and fell gently with each breath that he took, a small smirk lit onto his face. Of what would have gone on if Theo hadn't grown a pair and taken initiative, he didn't want to ponder. All that matter was that the deed was done and this, this seemed like the start of something beautiful. "To tell the truth," Theo began, "I never much minded the staring. It was... endearing." The heat from Alfie's blush was tangible through the fabric of his shirt. Removing one of his hands from hers, Theodore brought it to her chin to lift her face to meet his. Smiling softly into her blue-eyed, cherub-like wonder of a face, he lowered his head and lightly pressed his lips to her forehead before pulling away. "I... I guess this is it?" He grinned softly, thoughts of what others would say flooding his mind. Theo could already picture the reaction: his girl friends would positively gush, Riley would shake his head, Roderigo would clap him on the back with words of congratulation, and Brae would positively keel over and have a heart attack.

Alfie, too, couldn't help but feel completely comfortable where she was, like she'd stepped into a state of complete calm with the boy she had grown to like so easily. As she listened to Theo's words about her staring, about how he didn't mind it and even found it endearing, the blonde could practically feel her expression lighting up. The butterflies seemed to have escaped from her stomach, flying around all inside her and making her heart beat quickly, the smile unable to leave her expression. It was as Theo lifted her face up that he must've been able to see this radiant happiness on the girl's face. No one had told her the staring was endearing, before. "Endearing?" she repeated softly, slight disbelief in her tone.

Her heart seemed to skip in her chest as he leaned down and awarded her with a kiss on the forehead, something she hadn't expected but immediately adored. She bit her bottom lip softly, the warmest of smiles on her features, as she listened to Theo suggest that this was it. Slightly confused, her blonde eyebrows furrowed in amused confusion. "What do you mean?" she asked softly, her large blue eyes bigger than ever but not in observation as was normal. Now they were so large to simply admire the boy before her, seeming to reflect the sparkling sunlight and glittering surfaces of the cove around them.

"Yes," Theodore affirmed his statement, nodding and holding back a small chuckle. "Endearing, believe it or not. There's quite a difference between creepy staring and... endearing staring, y'know." The light laugh managed to escape him. Being a starer was much better than being a human tomato, blushing 24/7, in his high opinion. At least with the former, one couldn't be compared to a common garden vegetable. Or was it a fruit? Theo could never quite remember. ANYWAY...

As Alfie inquired into his inquiry, Theodore realized that he hadn't been quite clear with his meaning. In fact, he didn't even quite know how to say it. Tongue-tied once again. Linguistics score: Alfie 1, Theo -2. "I mean," He began, biting his lower lip in a near mirror of the wonderful girl beside him. "It's safe to say that we're more than friends now?" He squeezed her hand, not sure if this was all going too fast or not. "I don't want to leave people with the wrong impression... I mean, if you're not... ready, or something." Dumble stumbling over his words once more: typical.

As Theo mentioned the difference between creepy staring and endearing staring, the blonde couldn't help but be grateful that she'd fallen into the endearing category. What if he had thought she was creepy? She tried not to dwell on the thought and instead focused on the boy before her, who seemed to realize that his previous words hadn't been exactly clear. Alfie listened as he asked for confirmation that they were more than friends now, beginning to stumble over his own words as he explained that he didn't want to give people the wrong impression.

Amused, Alfie's expression lit up in a warm smile once more and she had the overwhelming desire to give Theo a kiss of her own. He had given one, why wouldn't she be allowed to return one? So in the next moment the blonde had shifted her weight to her toes, successfully gaining a couple inches in height so she could more easily reach his expression. She very gently placed a soft kiss onto Theo's left cheekbone, hoping to assure him of his own assumptions with a simple gesture before actually saying it out loud. It lasted for a moment longer than necessary as the gentle girl allowed her blue eyes to flutter close, sure that her eyelashes could be felt on his skin, in that one instant before she returned to her normal height and locked gazes with him once more. "Theodore Dumble," Alfie started with an amused smile that she seemed to be unable to erase from her expression. "I would very much like it if you would be my boyfriend; officially."

"Theodore Dumble," Alfie started with an amused smile that she seemed to be unable to erase from her expression. "I would very much like it if you would be my boyfriend; officially."
Theodore momentarily closed his eyes as Alfie planted a soft, subtle kiss, her lashes brushing pleasantly against his skin before she pulled back. He could get used to this. The small smile on his face didn't seem to want to vacate any time soon, and he was perfectly fine with that. Happiness, true joy, had evaded the anxious sixteen-year-old for quite some time. It was about time that he felt such warmth after nearly a year of being in the U.K.

Gazing down at Alfie as she made her statement, he couldn't help but laugh once more, cocking his head to the side as he examined the emotion behind her facial expression. "Are you sure?" He teased momentarily. "I'm sure the suitors lining up outside of this cove would be devastated." Glancing up and through the thick sheets of water that seemed to endlessly fall from above, Theo could make out vague shapes of other students in the lagoon. It was a wonder that other people even existed outside of this happy little world that Theo and Alfie had created for themselves.

"I accept," He finally answered, his gaze returning to hers. "But only if you, Alfiana Port, will concede to be my girlfriend." It felt odd saying each others full names; it was as if they were knighting each other. "And I would like... love it if we could make this little announcement to our friends together, if you'd like," He added, smirking ever so slightly. "I would hate to miss the look on Emma's face, or anyone elses face, really, when they hear the news."

Her eyebrows rose and her blue eyes widened in mock surprise, as though this news changed everything. "There are other suitors?" she asked playfully, taking a step back and turning as though she was going to run out of the cove and see the other prospects. But in the next moment, she had returned to the boy's side immersed in soft giggles, amused at her own small joke, as though she would actually just ditch him to see what else was out there. Please, her hands hadn't even left his own.

Even closer to him now than before, she straightened up with an amused smile as he addressed her by her full name, accepting her offer with the condition that she conceded to being his girlfriend. "Well, I think that's a very fair condition," Alfie agreed with the warmest of smiles. "I, Alfie, would love to be your girlfriend." A small moment of silence fell upon the pair as the blonde admired the sound of it all, her heart still beating quickly. She listened as he then mentioned his hope for them announcing this new development to their friends together. Her face lit up at the idea of it, letting out a soft, chiming chuckle as she imagined their faces. "I would love to make the announcement together," she agreed softly, a grin spreading across her expression. "I wonder what they'll all think..."

Then again... it wasn't like he was doing a particularly great job of finding people on his own.

And... how bad a girlfriend could a chocolate frog make?

He turned the turtle over examing it. How could she tell? Ehh... maybe he didn't want to know. He just handed the boy turtle back to Destiny. He then got up, walked over to the girl turtle, picked it up, walked back over to Destiny, and then sat back down. He absentmindedly began to pet the girl turtle that he was not going to name Caroline and not going to shrink down to keep as a small turtle pet.

And by not... he of course meant that that was his plan.

He then blinked twice. That was the MOST brilliant idea he'd ever heard. He could have kissed Destiny because of how brilliant it was. But he'd already been there and done that. So he'd skip the kissing her part and go straight to telling her how brilliant she was.

"That is absolutely brilliant!" he exclaimed happily. "And then afterwards we can shrink them and keep them as pets."

He might as well let Destiny in on his brilliant plan since she shared hers. It was only fair.
Destiny missed the fact that what Carter had said was only a joke. He knew her for HOW long? He should know not to joke around with things like that. She gave him a LOOK at his question; if she didn't want a desk, she wouldn't have asked for one. "Of course I do. And I'll need other things, but they can wait until later."

Because if he gave her those things now, she would start interviewing the turtles that were close by. An maybe one of the piranha fish.

Cradling the boy turtle in her arms when Carter handed it back, Destiny watched as he went to pick up the girl. She wasn't quite sure, but it seemed like the Gryffindor had an idea..and most likely, because it was Carter after all, that idea would have been horrible. Unlike her ideas. Which he just agreed to.

Would it be inhumane to ride a turtle? Ehh..

"Of COURSE it's brilliant! It was my idea." And when has one of her ideas ever been bad? Never. Beaming as she glanced down at her turtle, she had to admit, Carter had come up with a pretty good idea of his own for once. "I've always wanted a turtle." she said, and hopping up from the sand, she placed her turtle down and drew her wand.

"My turtle is going to be faster than yours."

She decided to just watch, since she couldn't swim herself and sat down beside Cass's other things. It looked lonely, but she didn't fancy bringing Mr. Panda with her or else Cass will rip the poor doll apart or Seraphina. That cat despises water....and sand.
After a few laps, a few strokes and a few splashes; Cass swam back to the edge and eyed Heather with a frown. "Hey, what's wrong? You're usually up for swimming and all the fun." She stated. It was true, Heather was usually the first one on the water, regardless of her swimming skills, and Cass should have been the one sitting there, watching on with an amused expression on her face, refusing to get her clothes wet. "Wrong? Nothing's wrong!" Heather suddenly flailed when Cass had come back and asked her. "what made you think of that?" she asked as she hesitantly went for her bag and pretended to be looking for something.

No, nothing was wrong, but yet why did she feel there is? And what is she looking for anyway?

"It's nice to meet you too, Beth," he added.

He turned his head in the direction of what he guessed was the first year Gryffindor attempting to throw some birthday bash for Beth. Though she, however, didn't seem all that excited. Giving her a sideways smile, Damien spoke in a low voice so only she would be able to hear.

"Do you need rescuing from your own birthday party, Beth?" he asked, Irish accent even more noticable than just a few minuets ago.
"Er, fourth." She said, slightly sheepishly. "I started a year late..." She caught his cute crooked smile and returned it with her small pursed one. "Yeah." She admitted, in an equally low voice, with a small giggle. "I really do." She liked his accent, it suited him... Maybe if he lived not too far from her, she might, um, bump in to him over the holidays...

She sneezed and fast walked over to him. "Hi," she said in her normal cherful tone, but this time it showed signs of a cold. She sneezed again.

"Sorry. I don't want to get you sick." She smiled guiltily. "I haven't seen you in a while." It was a big school, so it was easy to lose someone, and she hadn't been particularily looking for Damien. Psh, 'course not. Well, maybe.

"Do you want to come down the waterslide with me, and Penny, and....Penny's friend." She wasn't sure who it was, but she did know that it would be more fun with Damien there. Because he was just awesome like that.
Beth watched the other girl, Isobel, come over. She recognised her as the Hufflepuff quidditch captain, she sort of dabbled in and out of matches etc. She didn't say anything, because she was clearly talking to Damien. She sighed inwardly, predicting his departure with the prettier, and seemingly more talkative and pleasant girl.

Isobel.

He smiled in spite of all that was just on his mind, quite instantly forgetting every worry that bombarded his thoughts. She seeemd excited to see him, too; which was the best sign since he hadn't seen her in about two weeks anyway. Isobel approached him and Beth, sneezing something terrible along the way. "Sick?" he asked worried. "And you're about to go down the water slide?" He chuckled, shaking his head slightly back and fourth. "No offense Isobel, but ... don't you think it'd make the whole cold ... worse?"

Technically.

And he'd forgotten his manners with Beth standing there with him. "Oh," he said running his hand through his hair, eyes going between the two girls. "Sorry, you two might not know each other. Beth, this is Isobel; captain of Hufflepuff's Quidditch team. Isobel, this is Beth ..."

Yeah. That's how normal introductions go, right?
"Hi." Said Beth, her face half hidden by her wet hair. "Yeah, I've know you, um, from quidditch stuff..." She chewed her lip for something better to say. "Um... I like your... sneeze." She said, then paused. Wait, what??? Sneeze? Oh God. "Knees." She said quickly, before realising that 'knees' sounded equally stupid and random. "So, um, hi anyway." She said, her pale skin gradually turning pinker and pinker.

Well ... this could be a potentially awkward situation.

But why? There really should be no reason why the three of them couldn't all have a good time together. Damien was, after all, just now getting back into the whole "making friends" thing; Isobel should be thrilled to see him with a new friend.

Beth seemed uncomfortable with the introduction; stuttering over her words and ... did she say she liked Isobel's sneeze? ... That couldn't be right; as she corrected herself saying knees but even that didn't seem to make her any more comfortable. If anything, Damien would guess she felt rather embarassed.

In an attempt to diffuse the possible tension, Damien spoke; "Beth told me she just went swimming actually," he began before turning to her. "But did you try the water slide?"

There. Already something for all three of them to talk about. Beth had already been swimming, Isobel was thinking of going swimming and Damien ... would stay as far away from the water as possible watching everyone else swim.

Perfect.

He kept looking back, making sure Ryden was keeping up.

When he reached the place, he got himself out - noticing his rather wet shirt. He wanted to take it off, so badly - but with Ryden around, Orlando couldn't. With Legend, taking off shirts was one thing but with Ryden ... he tried to push away his thoughts, so he would not end up blushing stupidly.

"Come on .." he called for her, holding his hand out for her to take .. so he could help her get out.
Ryden's eyes narrowed, though the corners of her lips were still lifted up in silent laughter. "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Mister, I am possibly even STRONGER than before," the brunette stated with a nod, fisting her hand as if trying to show him. Thing is, her fist was kind of small and therefore this did not have the desired effect.

But never mind that. Meh.

Shrugging, and with a grin, Ryden dove into the water again and swam most of the way underwater, her eyes wide open as she stared under the surface at the colourful fish and surprisingly clear water. Underneath it was all super quiet, and the sounds and shrieks of people by the slide hit her full force as she came up and Ryden grinned.

Eyes finding Orlando easily - his bright red wet shirt was visible from miles away - she took his offered hand, stepped out of the water and eyed the area. "After that thing we HAVE to go on that rope swing and then the cove. We could EXPLORE things," she said excitedly, squeezing his hand as she pointed with her other one at the features she had noticed.

This place was COOOOL.

Theodore rolled his eyes playfully, his hands tightly grasping hers. He had her, and he sure as heck wasn't going to let her go anytime soon. That's what was fun about Alfie: she wasn't high-maintenance or flirty or generally like most of the girls at Hogwarts. She was relaxed and could be awkward and playful, just like Theo, but wasn't hell-bent on batting her eyelashes every time a guy came around. No wonder people said it was better to be friends first before jumping into a relationship.

When Alfie conceded to their silly formal agreement, Theo nodded and smiled. His cheeks would probably be sore tomorrow from all of the grinning that he had been doing today, but he didn't mind one bit. Theodore probably looked like a toddler who had been told that he had a lifetime pass to an amusement park, like Disneyland. He hadn't had much luck, any luck, with girls before, so the success of this endeavor was still slightly surprising to him. "I wonder, too," He murmured, gazing out of the cove momentarily, as if he would find all of their friends peering in at them. "Why don't we go find out?" Theo asked, an impish expression on his face. The news would get to their friends sooner or later, and it would be best to tell them now. If gossip got to their friends before the couple could tell them in person, Theo knew that he would get hell for it.

Alfie was glad that her joke was met with an amused reception, she liked that Theo didn't mind her light humour and enjoyed the feel of his hands holding her own a bit tighter. His smiles and happy mood seemed to be contagious as the girl before him couldn't seem to wipe the smile off of her expression. She couldn't help but be a bit disbelieving of it all, how this morning she didn't even have plans to meet up with Theo and now he was her...well he was her boyfriend, wasn't he? Her smile widened at the thought of it, but she was quickly distracted she he suggested they go find out what their friends thought of the new relationship right then.

Alfie's expression lit up for the billionth time that day, and gave an immediate nod of agreement. "Yeah, something tells me Emma won't be too happy with me if she hears it from anyone else," the girl murmured with a soft chuckle, glancing down at the shining rocks beneath their feet before returning her large blue eyes to Theo. "Where do you think they'll be?" she asked softly, before realizing that they might not all be together. "Well I guess they might not be together either..." she thought aloud, her blonde eyebrows furrowing just slightly. "Should we send them notes? Or a bat-signal of some sort?" she joked softly, but immediately realized that Theo might not be familiar with muggle television and films. Alfie herself had grown up in a partly muggle househould so the character of Batman wasn't unfamiliar. However, she didn't know very much about Theo's own background. Hmm. She made a mental note to learn even more about Mr. Theo Dumble.

Theodore laughed at the thought of Emma's face if such an event as Alfie described had occurred. Truthfully, it felt strange even thinking of others while they were both perfectly content in their quiet little oasis of a cove. The sunlight had fallen through the water perfectly, reflecting the rainbow colors of the rock and algae perfectly around the area and onto the couple. As bits of yellow, pink, and blue bounced off of Alfie's face and hair, the teen couldn't help but feel like this was the start of something new and strange, in a good way. He had never had a girlfriend before and was amazed at what a natural, or so he thought, he was. For once, his expectations of failure had been off the mark.

"A bat-signal?" Theo chuckled, his mind immediately traveling to muggle superheroes. His father was a muggle, so such comics were common nature to him. "Or we could spell out a message with some of Spiderman's web slingers." Grinning, another chortle escaped his lips. Being a child growing up in NYC, Spiderman was the best superhero, in his opinion. And in Braeden's opinion, as well. "Whatever way it happens, I'm sure there'll be no shortage of surprise," He smiled, still mentally conjuring up how to break the news to their circle of friends.

"Shall we?" Turning to the entrance from which they had scrambled through, Theo held onto her hand while releasing the other from his grip as he made to help her out. Their re-entrance into the lagoon, into the grounds, and into the castle, would be an adventure on its own. To think that moments ago, he had only been titleless Theodore Dumble. Now, he was proud to announce to the world his new title as boyfriend of Alfred Alfie Port. That had a nice ring to it.

Alfie seemed amused and happy that Theo understood her reference, listening as he even mentioned Spiderman. Her blonde eyebrows rose at this and a warm smile crossed her features; it seemed as though Theo was full of surprises. As he suggested they leave the cove, the blonde at his side gave a nod of agreement and flashed him a warm smile as he started leading the way. "We shall," she agreed softly with a bit of amusement in her expression.

And still, she couldn't keep the smile off of her face. The butterflies were still roaming around in her stomach, keeping the happiness evident on her expression. The girl very gently entwined their fingers, enjoying the feel of a hand wrapped around her own, as they started back towards the castle. Alfie couldn't help but be completely happy to have this new title of hers; girlfriend to Theodore Dumble. Who would've thought?

"And... other... things...?" Carter asked a little confused. What did Destiny expect from him? A list of what he liked to do? What he was looking for in a relationship? Destiny had gone from hearing a joke to starting a dating service.

He ignored Destiny's comment about her ideas being brilliant. He was pretty sure most of her ideas were the opposite of brilliant. But there was no point in arguing now.

Because they were about to ride turtles!

Following her lead he set his turtle down and pointed his wand at it. "Engorgio." he said casting the growth charm on the turtle. He then smirked at Destiny. "We'll just have to see about that."
