''Kay let's go!' Rose caught up with Zara and said 'Race you to the other end of the pitch?' Rose zoomed off!

Sarah watched as she tried to move. She smiled a little. Same things, she thought. She had moved a much longer distance than Sarah had done at her first time. Sarah flew near her. "Great job!" she smiled widely "You moved, longer distance than you thought" she said. She flew a little higher. "Can I call you Elle?" she asked.

Sarah raised her brows. "Hm, safe girl" she teased. Sarah flew down to her and patted her. "Chill Zara, it's ok, we're safe buddy" she said assuringly with a straight face. "Wanna fly around the pitch?" she asked. "You're way though, slow and steady, is that ok?" she said.

Zara looked at Rose and grinned. Then she zoomed off too. It was a great feeling. Like the wind was protesting against her speed. It was much much better than running. Scratch that. Definitely a lot better than running.

This was fun, but she then realized that she was already at the other end. She then controlled her broom and pointed it to the right. A very steep right, she was trying to stop. Trying to somehow..drift? Come on, Honda, you can do it. And she did. Zara stopped, whew. That was wicked awesome! Zara felt the adrenaline. She wanted to fly more. As she waited for Rose she said, "Whew! Awesome, let's fly back now."

Slow and steady? Nah, she was okay with fast. As long as it doesn't involve going near the ground and trying to fly back up. "Nah, I'm fine with fast." She grinned.

Hayley swing her right leg over and hold the handle gently. Glad that her legs still stays at the ground.

Wait, take off? *gulp* she nervously push feet off the ground isn't this like jumping? a bit... And then.. she's already a few feet off the ground. She then let out a big gulp of air knowing that she was holding her breath all along.

"Wah!" The next thing she knew, she drop a little to the ground. At least not falling off from the broom to the ground... Though scared a little, she feels like landing already...

'Aww, split finish!' Then Rose zoomed off to the other end. When she got there, she waited for Zara and said 'I love flying! It's amazing!'

"Really?" Brielle exclaimed, grinning from joy. She was really glad Sarah had come along. "I think I really should practice more," she continued. Brielle knew herself, and so she knew that the longer she stayed afloat, the better she felt. This time, she kept her eyes open and leaned to the side. She flew a farther distance, but she went on a slower pace. Twisting her broom around, she flew back until she was only a few meter from Sarah. "How was that?" she asked the younger girl, ready for any advice she would provide. "Oh sure," she answered. "Elle... you make my name prettier," she laughed. Wow, she was saving up a lot of nicknames this year.

Zara smiled. "It sure is." Then Zara suddenly flew off back to where they started. Heheh. While she was zooming, she also tried directing the broom up, then down. Like forming a wave. It was nice to try something else once in a while.

Then while on air, she tried to go round and round, like a dog chasing its tail. "Hey Roseee! Look I'm a dog." Then she tried to imitate a dog's barking. And Zara chuckled afterwards as she stopped. Whew, she was getting dizzy. "Ahh, the world's spinning." She said dreamily, like she was loosing her mind.

Sarah's eyes lingered on Zara for a moment and then she smiled. Nodding her head, she said, "All fine then, fast and steady!" she laughed. "Let's go!" she said motioning towards the goal posts.

As she was flying, Sarah noticed a girl having trouble with the broom. Being Gryffindor, she flew speedily towards her. She caught her right hand, trying to stop her from a probable fall. "Hey, careful there!" she said with a smile. "I'm Sarah, and you are--" she trailed.

Sarah saw another girl with Zara. She waved to her. "Hello, I'm Sarah!" she said with a smile, flying towards that girl.

Seeing the expression on Elle's face, Sarah couldn't help but smile. She too grinned along with Elle. It was fun, flying around and correcting mistakes. "Yah, practice." it took time for the word to sink in. "Ok, so you wanna practice with me?" she asked tentatively. Elle, the name is already pretty. she thought. "Oh, don't mention it. Cute name for a cute girl." she said bowing her head.

Ahh. Someone else that looked like they were having a little trouble. Mounting his broom, Finlay flew over to where she was, with her broom wobbling a little. Uh oh. Not good. "Just relax." Finlay smiled, reaching out, and grasping her broom with a hand, just to stop if shaking. "If it keeps shaking you'll probably fall off, and thats not good." Not at all. Professor V. would probably kill him if someone fell off.

"It's hard at first.." He'd learnt the hard way when he was little. "Just try to relax, and let the broom do the hard work. You just need to direct it when to go....like steer it." Without a steering wheel. "Why don't we fly around slowly for a bit?" So she could get used to it. That'd work right?

'Hi, I'm Rose! Is this your first time flying?'

'I'm a rat!' Rose scurried using the broomstick *nibble nibble nibble*

Rachel thought that she would have another try, she held onto the broom and kicked off the ground, she went up and up, she looked down and saw how high up she was, she was flying! Rachel spotted other first years flying around, they looked much better on a broom than she probably did, she zoomed around for a bit, before landing gracefully down on earth, she was able to fly! Maybe when she was old enough, she would try out for the Quidditch team!

"Okaaaaaaaaaay!" she shouted and zoomed off again, but a letter was suddenly on air and hit her right on the face. Jackpot.

Now what? Nobody ever told her how to deal with a letter on your face while flying. EEEEEHH. Zara started shaking her head furiously, hoping THAT and the wind would do the trick.

Zara chuckled. She wanted to imitate a cat, but she didn't know how.

Eino steered his broom in Kurumi's direction and moved around as she circled around him and Concorde. "He is a new at flying, so we will maintain at a safe distance from the ground in case we fall." Eino's grip was so tight that his hands were beginning to ache and sweat, so he carefully removed on, stretched it and wiped it on his robe, then repeated the same process for the other hand very quickly. Success! He was glad he hadn't fallen, and grew a little confident, but not confident enough to start doing flips, which he really wanted to. Plus, the professor did warn them against showing off, and he didn't want to end up missing school again due to an injury.

He looked down and realized he had no idea how he would land. Should he just drop from the broom? Tell it to go down? Let go of it? He had not thought about this. He looked around and spotted the Ravenclaw team captain, who had been asked to helped newbies, so he slowly removed one hand from the broom and waved it at him "Mister captain!" He called hoping he would see him through all of the other students.

"Ok, mounting the broom was fine. But flying. Oh gosh. What if I break my skull ?? Ok, don't think about that", Janet thought. She calmed grip on the handle and pushed the ground. Like jumping. The broom seemed to float somehow. She wanted to close her eyes, but decided not to. She steered her broom to fly around the pitch. "I'm flying !", she muttered to herself. It felt great ! She could just do this ev'ryday !

"Hey Rose!" she said as she came close to Zara and Rose. "Nah, I used to fly with my cousins when I visit my uncle's home." she said thinking of those happy times.

"Careful Zara!" she called as she saw her friend shaking her head. She might loose her grip. she thought and sped towards her. Sarah tried to take that letter off but Zara seemed to be shaking furiously. She shouted loudly to deviate her thought. "Stop shaking your head will you? I'm trying to take it out" she said.

Gwen listened to him and nodded her head as a sign of approval. Relax? Relax? ,that sounded nearly impossible to her. Eh, what do I have to loose? An arm, a leg...a neck..., she thought and wanted to laugh at herself at first, but then realized she was very afraid. She tried to convince herself that nothing could go wrong, but she just couldn't believe it. The girl had already made some sceneries in her head, and, somehow, all of them ended in the Hospital Wing.

Yes, this was really encouraging. She finally decided to start flying. I can do it! I can do it!, she began telling herself, but, when she started moving the line in her head turned into No I can't! No I can't!

Fly around? I can't even keep my balance! How on earth am I going to be able to fly?, she thought but then replied: 'Sure. Sounds good.'

Gwen finally stopped feeling scared. She soon speeded up...but there was one tiny little problem. She had only flied straight ahead, and when she saw him turning to the left she felt again hopeless.

'Um...one more thing? HOW do I turn?', she asked, hoping she didn't sound scared.

Rosemary shivered slightly before she pushed off the ground. The difference was huge between being on the ground and being in the air was different as she slowly began to turn, then approached Zara and Rose with a slightly stiff swerve to stop. "What a head rush right?!" She giggled.

She watched everyone else gradually building their height. Merh. Okay.. do it now..
Directing her broom, Ella soared higher. It felt good to be back up in the air like this, her curls flew out behind her as she zoomed in and out of her classmates. She grinned at familiar faces and kept an eye out for the Professor, incase he gave out any more instructions.

Aww. She looked really scared. Finlay wasn't that surprised to be honest. It was probably the first time that the girl had flown. He'd been a little afraid when he'd started flying, but he'd gotten used to it. Probably was a good idea, as he wanted to go pro. "Are you scared?" he asked with a soft smile. Maybe they could just flw low if she was scared. That would help right?

Ahh. She was doing it. That was good. "That's it." Finlay nodded, both hands back on his own broom. Oh. She didn't know how to turn. "Just kind of lean to the side you want to go..." It should make the broom turn. "Don't lean too far though, or you'll lose your balance." Which wouldn't be too good.

Stop shaking? "But I can't see!" she protested, but followed anyways. She tightened her grip on Honda (her broom) and stopped shaking her head. She closed her eyes tight, and tried not to panic.

Zara smiled at Rosemary. "Haii there!"

When trying to get use in her current position, a girl who seems to be from Gryffindor came and helped her a whole lot by holding her right hand. "Oh, thanks." She smiled back gratefully.

"Thanks a bunch Sarah, I'm Hayley.." She wanted to offer a handshake, but she thinks it's impossible anyway... "You got the hang of it quite fast.."

Charlie jumoed on her broom and soared into the sky. She loved the way the wind swept her hair and her heart soared with the broom. Charlie flew higher into the air so that her feet were several feet off the ground. She flew round in circles for a bit beofre she saw Rachel and flew over to her.
"Hi, is this you first time flying?" It wasn't that she bad, she was actually pretty good. She just looked nervous.

Sarah sighed. Atleast she stopped shaking. "That's better now" she said as she carefully tried to remove the letter from her face. She caught it from the edge and pulled it away. She saw Zara had closed your eyes. "Open it now, show's off!" she said laughing. "Patience is a virtue Zara--" she said trying to sound like an elder but laughed mid-way.

"Hey Hayley!" she smiled. She nodded her head in response. "I'm used to flying at my Uncle's" she said with a glint of dreamy-ness in her eyes.

Zara sighed as she felt that envelope gone from her face. Then she slowly opened her eyes. "Whew, thanks Sarah." She smiled. Honestly, she doesn't know what she would do it Sarah hadn't come to her rescue. She might've crashed into something. Good thing she was able to stop midair.

Zara laughed along with Sarah. Then began to fly around again.

She suddenly decided if there were specific things she needed to learn so she approached one of the captains, or was that a head boy. Zara was too dizzy from flying to know. Either way she asked, "Erm, is there anything specific we need to know in flying? Something like stopping, zooming, pausing. Or any moves and tricks."

"Sure! So you tell me, what do we do now?" Elle asked, grinning at her new found friend. "Though I'm afraid I have to request that we don't go any more higher, I think it's best if I do this a little at a time, like, how do we go any more faster?" she said, looking to Sarah, though she was only a first year, Elle was sure she would know the answer to the question she had just asked. "Well the same goes for you," Elle answered, gazing at the younger girl. She was indeed pretty, that Elle didn't even bother to say it anymore.
