Viola looked at the list and wondered if she could add something to it. "Well, I think mirrors..especially dark mirrors allows a user to see his/her past events and it also allows a user to communicate with another person who lives far away." Viola thought for a bit and continued, "By the way, dreams can also be used for scrying. Dream scrying is followed mainly by the Egyptians." She stopped. Viola hoped it helped.

"What about horoscopes?" Suggested Beth. "You know, starsigns and that. Might work, ooh, and constellations too." She smiled hoping her idea made sense.

Mhh that was a seriously good question.Why did you see the clearest images in a crystal ball?Tipping her index finger against her chin the blonde thought about that question."Mhh maybe its because crystal is the most clear and honest?",the girl said.Hopefully her partner knew what she meant."Water can betray you,the images can be blury",the Slytherin tried to explain,"and tea leaves could be mistaken."All in all scryping was a difficult thing to do.If you werent sure about it,it wouldnt be a surprise if you saw something that wasnt there.

Ohh she wasnt the only one?Sighing relieved the blonde smiled at the girl next to her."I mean imagine if someone just apparead next to you in a mirror",the Slytherin said shuddering,"my brother used to watch these muggle horror films and that pretty much sounds like a part of it."Sooo not Fee's think.Shudder.

Penny was glad her new team member was getting involved with the debate and inputting her ideas...giving Viola a smile :-)

"I suppose you are right," Helena said, giving Feenella a smile. Well... yes. Water could... move? Or something like that, and crystal was clear and everything, but... maybe not the only clear one. "Mirrors are really clear too," she pointed out. "I just hope we are not going to use mirrors today," she added, whispering.

Someone... appearing next to her in a mirror? Uhhh NO! "I would have a heart attack, most probably," the girl grinned. She was such a coward. A proud one, apparently. And... what was she talking about? Muggle... horror movies? "I've never seen one of those," she said thoughtfully. But she probably didn't even want to try one.

" I like the idea if horoscopes.and constellations" William told Beth. " Now we would have to figure out how they would work with scrying" William said to Beth. " Oh, I see, the crystal jewels would give horoscopes and the jewels would make the consteallations closer for the naked eye to see withiut a telescop, right?" Wiliam asked Beth. " William can;t bleive Fee is not part of any of his groups or partnerd with him in any ot the classes. He wonders if Rex really knows what type of freind Fee really is to others. William is wondering why he ever became Fee's freind, he is so dissapointed in her. Rex told Wiliam great things about Fee. Wiliam is not so sure anymore.

Chloe had been at the same table with Will and Beth but had not said anything yet. Perhaps no one besides the professor even knew she was there. It did noy matter. Chloe had been listening in and had an idea and decided to speak up, "Um, yeah, thats possible but I really don't think so. The crystal ball only predicts the future in a vague sense in skrying. With horoscpoes it is predicting the uture based on the position of the constellations in space and how they are affect our mood and our being. I don't think it has anything to do with jewels on the crystal ball. I think that the the heart of our being is expressed in the crystal ball in scrying just as with hroscpes and the alinement of constellations.".

"Exactly!" Said Beth, clicking her fingers for good measure. "Stars... I can't wait for astronomy, I love looking at the stars. They're so beautiful. Interesting too..." She sighed, then blinked, trying to get out of her dreamy moment. "You look thoughtful." She said. "You're thinking about something... someone. I'm right aren't I? I thought I saw you-" But she cut off, when she saw another girl beside her. OK, more the merrier, right?
Beth frowned at the other girl. Chloe, wasn't it? She hadn't expected her to be so cynical about it. "Sorry for trying." She muttered, picking her nails, annoyed slightly. "I don't suppose you have any ideas?"

Thanks a good Idea said hannah she said with a smile.Do she have some here or we can get some later said hannah.

"Wait huh?" Nika looked at Hannah as if she had gone mad. "Erm Hannah we aren't supposed to use the tin foil..." She exclaimed slowly. "We're only supposed to discuss if it could work for scrying and stuff." She said turning her attention back to Ariana and Samira. "See Ariana is writing everything down. You should check with her." Nika thought that since the girl was quiet she didn't have any questions, but maybe she just fell asleep?

" I am William Montcenaggio, but call me William Starr' he introduced himself to the other girl at the table. " I see why you said scrying may not be used with crystal jewels" William said to her. " In the same sense, when someone reads a crytal ball, which includes scrying, some people ask about their future, so would that not affect our mood too?" William asked the older girl.

" Astronmy will be hard for me but I will deal with the class" Willaim told Beth." I knew i got yoru ideas" William said to Beth. " Our other partner comes up with a good argument" Wiliam explained to Beth. " Sorry, I drifted off and did think about someone" William sighed.

Oh okay maybe it could work.Maybe Juice it has water in maybe that could work said hannah.Sorry i was looking out the window.

"You're right." Shrugged Beth. "What do I know anyway? This is my first Divination class." She admitted, feeling sort of stupid. "Sorry for snapping a bit." She said to Chloe. "So who is it? Friend? Girlfriend? Mysterious other or would you rather keep it private?" She asked, hoping he didn't feel pressurised. She was just curious, she hated when people were obviously bothered about something.

" No, I may not be right" Willaim told Beth. " I am just playing Devil's advocate" William said to Beth. ' I just wanted a conversation amongst all three of us" William explained to Beth. " Thnking about a good friend, but not sure if she is still a friend because I thought she would be part of our group here or my partner in other classes" William sighed.

Was it possible to scry into someones dreams? That, in itself was a ingeniously genius idea - and question. Being the token Ravenclaw of the group and having questioned that idea herself in the past Kyle spoke.

"I don't really know if it is actually possible - but I do know in Egypt they used to believe that you could scry into dreams" she explained roughly it wasn't the best description yet. But, that wasn't textbook and she wasn't all that sure.

"I believe what you need is an oil lamp - the older kind with the wick that falls into a glass bulb filled with oil" she explained tapping her finger loosely on her knee as she spoke - still calming herself down a bit there.

"you would also need a small strip of linen and a quil or pen and inc - and you write the name of the god you want to scry to on the linen" she tapped her eye tooth down lightly against her lower teeth as she thought of what else she had seen that was needed. She was about to make herself look like a bookworm. "What you do, is you don't use the wick that would come naturally with the lamp you twist the linen into a wick insert it into the lamp" she took a quick breath this was a lot a lot of speaking.

"Place the lamp on your bedside table, and using the same ink you used before draw the image of the god you wish to commune with on your left palm." Ye she liked Egyptian mythology and magical lores after all who didn't? Cursed artifacts - and beautiful things. "Then you light the lamp kneel before it, and say - while concentrating on the image on your palm; Thoth, (insert desired god here) I invoke, blessed power of dreams divine, - but actually say the god in question's name" clearing her throat she tapped her foot on the floor.

Impatient maybe? Answer yes...she wanted to get on with class, and to well get on to the end of class and homework.

"Okay so the full invocation is this" she explained by pulling out a piece of paper with a hand written invocation on it.

"After the invocation simply concentrate on your question and then wrap your hands 'round another piece of black linen about four inches wide by thirty inches long" she looked over wondering if anyone was actually paying attention to her random diversion here...it was interesting and maybe a type of scrying? Who knew?

"The black linen is for - well...its called the black eye of Isis, the Magic of Isis, or Black Isis" yeah that didn't sound oddly slurred in a certain fashion there? Dark magic anyone? "All you do after that is blow out the flame and clear your mind then go to sleep...Oh but I nearly forgot you can't eat for four hours before the whole ordeal or it won't work supposedly."

Pulling out a little black book on egyptian magic from her bag she placed it on the table infront of Zara. It was warn, and you could still smell the slight smell of cinamon on it - yes, this was a lovely little book she'd nicked from Alex back at Beauxbatons.

Cue slight smirk.

"Those are some good ideas," Rebecca said to her group. "Penny, I think that smooth rocks can be used to view images of the past, present, or future. Just like a crystal ball, kinda."

Looking down at the parchment, Penny was quite pleased with their progress... "wow, I didn't know there was so many ways to Scry!"

"Yeah alright that could work too." said Nika nodding.


"OH guys I have a question!!" She said bouncing up and down. "Do you think that certain things you use for scrying will give you certain visions?" Yeah finally a good question came out of her mouth. She was thinking about this one for a while. "Like if we did it with a peice of jewelry then maybe the vision would be about something of value? I don't know does it work that way?"

Samira drummed her nails on the table thoughtfully. "Actually, that's a really good point! That makes sense. So if you're using something valuable to scry, you see a vision with more value. Yeah." She just repeated what Nika just said, but she was still processing it in her mind. She turned to Ariana. "Are you getting this?"

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?!

That was uncalled for, Mia Gibbins. Since she didn't hit him, then it was okay, no? And if she had hit him, well, it would've been an accident. So, all good. For now. Tsk.

Ooooh, okay, he understood now. Did he truly?

Either way, he turned to Mia, "I actually think it has more to do with focusing and clearing one's mind than actual images, though, the same images are in one's head, clearly," he said, with one nod, except...was he even making any sense at all?

"Wow, it is a lot!" Janice looked at the parchment Penny wrote on.
"I'm out of ideas."

It had seemed like everyone had gotten into the idea of having their own little discussions about scrying, although Renée had noticed in a few situations it had delved more into Divination as a whole. She hadn't necessarily specified, but they needed to get back on track. So, back to scrying, and then she could move things along to the other topic she had planned. Standing back up from her seat at her table, where she'd momentarily gone back to thinking about things as she knew she wouldn't be able to listen to the discussions while trying to focus on her readings, she stepped forward with another smile.

"Okay, I think you've all gotten some sort of handle on the topic of discussion. I heard a few interesting ideas, but does anyone want to offer their group's thoughts before we move things along?," she said. Obviously she wasn't going to expect them to try and actually scry, even if she had enough crystal balls for them all. There were other things she could have them explore, but they needed to work their way to that topic. She wasn't going to just change the subject abruptly.

As Zara listened and nodded to every information given, she wrote this down on her parchment, which now reached the second page. Speaking for the first time, she decided to also share what she knew. "Awesome book," she grinned.

"I've heard that through mirror, we could also scry. First, we would stand in a dark room, or maybe just sit down and use a hand mirror. Then when we're relaxed, we should say a prayer like asking the universe for guidance." She continued as she looked around before scribbling this down to add in her notes. "Okay, after that we hold the flashlight or candle a few inches below our face and look straight into the mirror trying to unfocus our eyes. We should probably visualize the light coming from us into the mirror. This next part's about to be weird," she chuckled a little.

Looking back at her notes and writing these down, (it was all stored in her ickle mind) she proceeded, "Then with an open mind, we watch as our faces begin to change and become fluid in the reflection. Our face might seem strange and unfamiliar, like facial hair growing or seeing an image of animal head. Once we look to the side of the mirror, we'd see our spirit guide." Pausing and looking back up to see it they understood her. Seeing the faces looking back at her, Zara hoped she wasn't boring them.

"Then you should pay attention to the insight offered by these images. You allow them to share their knowledge to you. So their visual sense becomes more in a mental sense. And once you clearly see these, they would stay with you and become much clearer. Then ask yourself some questions in your mind and keep an open mind to solutions given to us during these scrying sessions. When you keep track of the images you see during these scrying sessions, the a full story would soon unfold itself to you. Then only then would you be enabled to reflect back and realize spiritual teachings of future events from your scrying." She ended, as well as her notes. Whew, that was long, but mostly she recited it from memory.
