Upon entering the Divination classroom, it seems the decor has been changed back to the way it had been set up for the tasseomancy lesson the previous term, or at least similar. Instead of desks, there are quite a few small round wooden tables arranged around the classroom, still leaving room between to walk, even if the chairs are pulled out. Four chairs sit around each table, but other than that there is nothing much to show what the topic that is going to be discussed is. Even the bookshelves along the wall are covered by a drape of colorful fabric, which at least lends some excitement to the room, and is made even brighter by the sunlight streaming in from open windows.
The only curious thing in the room would probably be the crystal ball close by Professor Bishop's elbow, seemingly ignored by her as she is idly focused on the Tarot cards she has arranged on the table in front of her. Is that part of the lesson, or just decoration?
ooc: The lesson will start no later than at some time midday tomorrow (PST), but feel free to post yourselves entering, etc. Curiosity is entirely welcome, as to what Professor Bishop is doing or anything else, but try not to involve yourselves in too much chatting amongst yourselves. I'll be checking in again later tonight, to reply if necessary.
Flicking her wand again, she drew back the drapes covering one of the shelves, revealing a lot of small bowls that she’d charmed to be unbreakable, along with small pitchers of olive oil that she’d done the same to. “There should be enough supplies for you to work alone or in groups, at your choice. I assume most of you are familiar with the charm to summon water, to fill the bowls once they’re at your tables. and I recommend not puoring the entire pitcher of oil into your bowl afterward. If anyone needs help with water, either come to me or look to the older students. I recommend not pouring the entire pitcher of oil into your bowl afterward, as it's easier to find symbols if a smaller amount is used. We’ll try to see if we can make any interpretations for a while, and then I’ll set the homework,” she continued. “Lists of symbols and their possible meanings are up here, and have fun.” She took a seat again at her table after she’d finished speaking, but continued watching, wand at the ready, to make sure everyone managed to gather everything without too much trouble. She didn’t want any impromptu oil wrestling or anything of the sort.
Tayla stood up and took the things she needed. She had read about the Summoning Charm in books, but doubted she'd be able to do it. She did however, know how to fill the bowl with water from her wand. Tayla had done it in Potions.
"Aguamenti," she said, and water flowed out from her wand into the bowl. Tayla smiled. She loved magic. She then dropped a little oil into the bowl.
Tayla frowned a little as she tried to see any shapes on the surface of the oil.
"Um...I guess that blob there looks like an egg..." she checked the list uncertainly. "Egg...so that's a good omen. New beginnings."
Tayla bit her lip. "Well...I'm a first year so yeah, that's a new beginning..."
She stared into the bowl again. The egg blob was gone. "Um...okay then..."
Tayla shrugged and looked around the classroom, wondering how her classmates were doing. Then she spotted the Slytherin boy from Potions class.

Ahem, ahem.
He tilted the vessel and let the oil trickle into the water, where it began to form blobs almost immediately. Putting the vessel down he stared at the bowl, watching the blobs do their thang.
"Hey there, Salander," Tayla began, a little nervously. She wondered if he still remembered her.
Beth sighed with disappointment and embarrassment. "Sorry, professor." She said quietly. Disheartened, she poured the oil in to the bowl. "Augumenti." She said clearly, poiting her wand at the bowl, and to her surprise and delight, a delicate stream of water poured from her wand, filling the bowl and inch from the brim. She smiled as the water and oil interwove, but felt a pang when she only saw blobs floating around. She felt a lump in her throat, of anger and annoyance and sorrow. She would never be anything, do anything. She looked down again, and only saw another blob, but as she looked more carefully she could make out something which she thought was a dolphin, which wasn't on the list. She narrowed her eyes then realised it was a plane. Like a World War Two plane, soaring around the bowl, and circles drifting away from it rapidly- they looked scarily like bombs. Why was her future depicting her throwing bombs?
"Professor, I don't understand my one." She said, raising her hand, her eyes still locked on the bowl.

William smiled at Beth. The smile was an encouraging one to Beth.

Ella returned to her seat, and placed her bowl on the table infront of her. Right. Waaand swishin' time! Grinning to herself, she retrieved her wand from her bag. Concentrating fully on the empty bowl, she said loudly and clearly : 'Aguamenti!' Ella blinked and then her bowl was almost filled. Wooot! Ella was pretty pleased with herself..
Turning to the oil, she slowly tipped a little into her bowl. Now she picked up her list, and shaking her dark hair behind her she began to lok into her bowl. The oil was twisting and turning on top of her water, and slowly Ella began to recognise shapes.
First she saw an elephant. Ella smiled. An elephant was her Patronus. She knew she'd sound ridiculous if she shared this with anybody else, they would never believe her aobut casting the Patronus charm.. but it had been by accident in the first place... and she'd only been little... 'Wisdom, strength & luck.. over coming obstacles.' Ella smiled slightly. That was good, right?..
three other shapes caught her eye. A house, horse shoe and a lion. Running her finger down the list she was suprised to see they meant alright things. Picking up her quill, she began to right them down.
Kyle took out her parchment and began to take notes. Trying not to have some of the shapes be seen. A lot of them were embarrassing after all.

Nika decided that she wouldn't need to clean the bowl. She looked at the other students and they didn't clean theirs either so she decided to just move on with everything. She pointed her wand and muttered "Aguamenti" and watched as her bowl filled with the water. She took the small pitcher and poured a few drops into the bowl. She stared into the bowl waiting for something to happen.
....Nothing.....
.......Nothing........
.....Still Nothing.....
Alright wasn't she supposed to be able to see things in the bowl. She waited a little longer then took another close look making sure to examine the bowl carefully. "Well this blurb looks like a vase? Or is it an hourglass...." She said muttering to herself.
She checked the list for the words Vase and Hourglass. AHA! So hourglass means running out of time. But running out of time for what exactly!?! If only divination could be clearer. The vase means that a friend needs help. Well a friend needs help and an hourglass are two completely different things!

Kurumi continued to stare into her bowl of water as the wonky butterfly like shape became even more wonkier. It was distorted to the point now that calling it a butterfly would be an insult to butterflies everywhere and it looked a bit more like an ostrich or a shoe - not that those two things look similar to each other by any stretch of the imagination.
Frowning a bit, Kurumi turned her bowl around for a few moments seeing if she could make the shape out any clearer. When that didn't work, she patted Selina on the shoulder with her right arm while she kept her attention on the bowl.
"Hey, Selina," she said tilting her head to the side and thinking that it now looked more like a sheep than an ostrich. "Do you suppose that is an ostrich or a sheep?" Or a shoe...
Selina was usually quick to answer Kurumi, so when no response came, the third year Gryffindor furrowed her brow and turned her attention to the second year.
"Selina? If everything all..."

She always made a point to walk back through the door and into the arms of possible exposure. It was not like if people did not look at her glossy eyes and the slight shaking she did when she was visited by the future that they would not figure out. So why did she always come back?
As the lesson continued she looked to her left and saw the little Japanese girl who always sat beside her at the table off to retrieve her supplies. Selina stumbled out of her chair and went to go and grab them as well. Her eyes scanned the wall until she found a pitcher and a bowl that fit her needs. Then she returned to her table and sat. She just sat and looked at the bowl unsure if she should just press forward or not participate. But she needed to. Regardless of what happened she needed to do this.
So she drew her wand and said, "Aguamenti!" The bowl filled with water at once and then she laced her fingers around the either. For a moment she held it over the bowl without pouring a single drop. But then she looked at Bishop who she knew would be disappointed of she did not at least try... so she tipped the oil into the water.
It spun around and moved with a rhythm and Selina tried to disinsinuate what symbols were what. She leaned in closer to get a look and briefly made out something that looked like a scar. A heavy and deep scar. What it meant she was not sure. She titled her head to get a better look and then the whole room began to change into a yellow hugh. The room started to fade away and her eyes grossed over.
It was beginning.
"...alright?"
But one look into her friends eyes told her that everything wasn't alright and that it was happening again. Kurumi immediately scooted her seat closer to Selina and slowly put an arm around her and pretended to be peering into the bowl with her. It was the only thing she could think of to cover up the fact that Selina was going into one of her visions again.
In that position, Kurumi waited patiently for Selina to come back to the classroom.

He first walked to the front table and took a list, then headed towards the shelves to take a bowl and a pitcher for himself. Once he had returned to his table he set them on his table neatly, making sure the list was at a safe distance from the bowl and pitcher, to prevent it from getting wet. He glanced at the list for a minute or two before proceeding with the task, just to become acquainted with the possibilities since it was a lengthy list. Then he pulled out his wand and filled his bowl with sufficient water. However, before he poured the oil into the bowl he had a question. "Professor," he began with his hand raised, "is it possible to get multiple symbols?" Maybe the oil could separate and create two different symbols or maybe only one would be the actual symbol and the rest meaningless circles. He really wanted to make sure before he could proceed.
As it seemed everyone managed to collect their supplies smoothly, or as smoothly as could be expected, Renée had taken her Tarot cards out of her pocket again to occupy herself until any questions were asked. Of course, as soon as she’d had that thought, it seemed the students were bound to ask, and she looked up again as she heard Eino speak, deck still all in one stack. At least his question was a good one, as she imagined there were probably others wondering the same thing. “Elaeomancy is no different than any other method of divination involving interpretation of symbols,” she began, giving him a nod. “Would you expect to be able to get a full prediction out of only one symbol? Multiple symbols is generally the goal. More information always helps, I would think.” She’d noted that he hadn’t really started yet either. “Did that answer your question?,” she concluded, subtly nudging him to continue with the activity. He wouldn’t find any symbols without pouring the oil, after all.

" Is this right?' Wiliam asked the professor.
Her earlier reprimand apparently had gotten things taken care of, as Renée watched William get to work on the activity presented to everyone. However, it seemed he still wanted to be walked through the interpretation, and she turned her attention to him without much bother. He needed to interpret things for himself, but she could still listen to him work it all through. Most of her response was nodding, but she still needed to interject a bit. “Masks represent something hidden, that’s true. It doesn’t always have to be referring to relationships, however,” she pointed out, idly thinking about the ship and all the rumors surrounding its appearance. She needed to set William straight on more, however, so she broke free of that tangent easily. “More often than not, a ball doesn’t represent sports, but that’s doesn’t mean you’re entirely wrong with your interpretation there, either.” Balls could reflect changes in fortune, after all. He could look at his copy of the list to find that out. “Interpretations are personal to yourself, at least in this case, so do you think you’re right?,” she finished with a smile. She couldn’t say if he was accurate, not without explicitly knowing the future, and she made a habit of not looking into the students’ futures.

Nika ran up to the shelf enthusiastically and grabbed a bowl of one of the top shelves. It wasn't such a good choice to take one of the bowls from up there because oops. Hehe. It dropped. Bad, clumsy Nika. She closed her eyes expecting to hear it shatter, but it didn't. She looked down and grinned when she saw it was still in one piece. "Unbreakable charm? Good thinking professor!" She said rather loudly.
She looked over at the shelf and grabbed a small pitcher of oil and made sure that she grabbed this one from a lower shelf. No more dropping supplies for Nika. She took it to her seat and stared at the bowl for a good few seconds before realizing she need to cast the spell for water. BUT WAIT. "Professor do the five C's of potion making apply to divination too? I mean do we have to clean our bowls and stuff before we use them?" Because Lafay was always so picky about that.
At the sound of a crash, Renée turned her attention from William to see Nika over by the shelves and a bowl on the floor. It certainly seemed her precautions were validated, but she only grinned at the loud compliment. It saved her from having to clean up broken glass, at least, even if he could use magic to do so. Watching as the little Gryffindor continued gathering her supplies, obviously learning from her previous mistake, she remained quiet. Even as the redhead went on to stare at her empty bowl like she expected something to just appear inside it. She stood up, though, and smiled again at the question that was posed. “A bit of dust shouldn’t affect things too much, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the oil,” she replied, stepping closer to the student tables. “I can assure you that the bowls are clean, though, and I’ll let you know in the future if anything requires particular cleanliness.” It seemed Hecate was infiltrating her class now as well, but that was fine. It had been another good question.

It seemed her choice of standing up had also been good, as the questions kept coming and Renée turned her attention to Rosemary. Stepping over to the young girl’s table, she glanced at the bowl momentarily before turning her gaze to the Gryffindor. “What does your list say about each symbol?,” she asked. She could make her own interpretations, but Rosemary needed to at least try o analyze them. She had to admit, the collection was a bit odd, but for the most part the meanings worked together rather well. There was even a bit of repetition in the meanings of a few of them (and even the actual possible interpretation of one of the symbols alone), which was fascinating. The very fact the images had decided to appear was interesting alone, as it said that possibly the girl had some sort of innate connection to the subject. She’d need to find that for herself though.

Placing the bowl in front of him, Daichi grabbed his phoenix feather wand and....wait... how does that spell work?! Slightly panicking, the first year looked from left to right hoping to see any of the other students saying the spell for water out loud. He saw a Gryffindor saying Aguamenti and he figured that would be it. He raised his wand and pointed it at the bowl. "Aguamenti!" nothing happend, not even a drop of water. "Aquamenti" again nothing. Was he suppose to move his wand a certain way? Like a swish and flick? Whatever it was it was sooooo difficult! He couldn't wait for Evan's training.. Where was he anyways!? Daichi looked around him, trying to find the seventh year but he wasn't in this class. He sighed deeply and turned his attention back to the bowl. If other students can do it who look like his age, Daichi can do it too! Yush! "Aguamenti!" Failure again. The first year Slytherin groaned out loud and raised his hand in the air. "Can someone help me with this"stupid"spell?"
Turning from Rosemary, Renée noticed that Daichi seemed to be having problems as well, and she headed over to the Slytherin’s table seconds before his hand shot up into the air. That wasn’t really her forte; although she knew she was skilled at charms, she couldn’t help but think of Jared as she got a clearer look at the boy’s problem. He was the Charms professor after all. “The Water Charm?,” she asked gently. It was entirely possible the first year could have difficulties. “You seem like you have the incantation right, but you’re trying a bit too hard with the wand movement,” she continued. it seemed none of the other students had noticed his plea for help, so it was up to her. “Like this,” she said, pointing her wand toward the empty bowl simply. “Aguamenti,” she said, focused on the incantation, and water started flowing from her wand. She stopped it after only a few inches had gathered, though. “Why don’t you try again?,” she then suggested to Daichi. She may not have been the best to teach him the charm, as she mostly just intellectually understood how it worked, but hopefully he’d picked something up. She had other students to help, in the meantime.

”It’s okay, Beth,” Renée assured the Ravenclaw as she walked nearer to her table. “Just make sure you remember that in the future.” She had a feeling there were other professors who wouldn’t be quite so lenient on the matter. But then the conversation switched to her bowl, as she watched Beth examining the contents without comment. Until the girl’s hand raised, and she nodded slightly to show she’d acknowledged the request. “What exactly don’t you understand?,” she asked, leaning over to get a look at the oil herself. Okay, context could be an issue, but beyond that it was straightforward. “Sometimes the images are just simple. You don’t need to come up with a visual connection for them,” she explained. Sometimes a circle was just a circle, not anything else.
And, glancing up from Beth for a moment, she noticed a bit of something over at Kurumi and Selina’s table and looked intently for a few more seconds, taking closer stock of the situation as only she could. She knew what was going on, and, with a silent communication of excuse toward the Ravenclaw, she drifted closer to the two Gryffindors. Kurumi was hiding it well, but she still wanted to be there for support. She’d promised Selina she would, after all.

Wait now the line was moving, forming into something else. When will this end, really? Hm, maybe it won't end. Probably by the end of the class, she's seen almost half of the symbols on her cup. A changing fate maybe?
Zara watched as the wavy line before had joined in with another of the drops of oil. Now it was thickening, into something like a square-ish rectangular-ish thing. 'A box--well there wasn't any box? So maybe a cube--nah there wasn't one either? A door--an opening or closing? An envelope--an incoming message? AHH, what was this?!' She sighed and rested her cheeks on her hands that were on the table. 'A table?' she gave it one last thought, but realized that the table might need some stand so it wasn't it. Frustrated a bit, she decided to ask the help of the professor. Clearing her throat, she sat up straight and raised her hand.
"Professor I don't get this rectangular-ish symbol. It can be almost anything." Zara pouted. "See? A door, an envelope, a table, a book.." She gave up eventually there was too many possibilities, but she hoped Professor Bishop got the point.

Blahhh. It was apparently practical time now, something Sierra was less than enthused about. She still had serious doubts about Divination, even though her tea reading from last school year had actually predicted something that really did end up happening. She remembered getting something that indicated a visitor...or a friend...or--oh, no! It was a guest! She'd gotten the chair symbol over and over and over again, and yes, she'd ended up getting a guest over the summer. Of course, there would really be no talk of that in class or on parchment. She doubted she'd get the chair again either, since the guest, who was really not a guest anymore but something entirely different, was still in her life. Her father's life, too, come to think about it.
She eyed the professor and then got up to retrieve the supplies. Once back at her desk, she set to work filling the bowl with the water and oil. So what now? Was she supposed to just stare at it and hope something popped up? Blahhh. This was boring. She rested the side of her face on the palm of her hand and rested her elbow on the table. She stared...and stared...and stared...into the mixture. Oh, great. She had a faulty mixture, apparently. Neither the oil nor the water moved at all. She touched the side of the table and gently gave it a push, sloshing the mixture a tiny bit in hopes that it'd move into some sort of pattern.
Nothing. As usual.
Just as she started to look away, though, the mixture started to shift. She grabbed the sides of the table again and leaned down closer to her mixture. She eyed it as she waited to see if it'd turn into anything recognizable. She scribbled something down on her parchment as she watched the mixture shift.
- A body
- Four legs
- A horn? Maybe a unicorn?
- No, two horns.
- A...goat?
She looked up goat only to discover it meant to be careful of enemies. Well, duh. Why would she want to involve herself with Kurumi Hollingberry, Michael White, and Alex Greingoth? She rolled her eyes at her mixture, not even bothering to consider it could mean something else entirely.

The Divination classroom slowly dissipated into nothing and all that was left was the faint formation of a new room. It took a while to focus and everything was tinted like parchment. But still the room was not in focus. Then a small hole in the room came to focus. The image was of a redheaded girl sitting in a large red chair. It was plump and looked quite comfortable and familiar. The chair was very familiar, as was the girl. Like a snap the whole vision faded into focus. It was Selina sitting upright in a chair in the Gryffindor common room. Her eyes were glazed over and she was not moving an inch. Selina knew what was happening to the Selina in the vision. She was having a vision about a vision.
Then a loud rush came from the stairs and a voice called out Selina's name. She did not even.need to see the face to know who was beckoning her. An instant later Kurumi flew down the stairs and landed with a thud on the landing. In her hand was a box of cookies. She spotted Selina and made her way over to her, "Okay so I want you to try these. Be honest, it was a new recipe and before the general public gets them I need your opinion." But Kurumi was met with silence so she pressed on, "Look I know you're still mad at me, but I said I was sorry. Besides I really am sorry Sely..."
It was then she noticed Selina was engulfed in a vision...
...she also noticed Selina was NOT breathing.
Kurumi began to freak out and shake her friend, "Please don't be dead! Selina look at me! Oh Merlin wake up!" Kurumi began to sob and the vision ended.
Only then did Selina rejoin the present. Her own face was wet with tears and she muttered, "Oh my God."

Nika leaned over and to whisper to Ariana who was sitting in the chair beside her. She moved her bowl over in front of Ariana as carefully as she could so that the oil didn't shape shift. "Do you think this blurb looks like an hour glass? Or a vase? I think it could be both." she said looking at oddly shaped blob of oil.

"Well this way it looks like a vase, but when you look at it like this," she twisted her head to the side, "it looks more like an hourglass..." Looking more carefully, she decided that really it looked most like a vase. "I'd say a vase," Ariana said firmly, checking her list. "What does that mean?"

Kurumi was hiding it well, but she still wanted to be there for support. She’d promised Selina she would, after all.
Kurumi looked up at Professor Bishop with eyes that were begining to glaze over herself, only hers were with tears of concern for Selina. Kurumi never knew how long her little lion sister would be in her fragile state and she naturally had no idea WHAT she was seeing.
Kurumi tightened her grip on her friend's shoulders as she waited for some kind of sign that she had come back from whatever journey she had embarked on.

The vision looked like Selina was twelve.
After what seemed like an eternity to Kurumi, Selina finally came back. Kurumi's hair had already begun turning a shade of deep turquoise. Worry written all over her face as if someone had taken a thick black marker and literally written it on her forehead, Kurumi looked into Selina's eyes and felt something wet splash against her hand.
It was then that she noticed Selina was crying. She wanted to freak out, flail her arms, and ask the girl what she had seen, but Kurumi was able to compose herself enough to simply reach into her pocket, pull out her canary yellow handkerchief with pink rabbits on it, and turned to the second year.
Smiling bravely, although her eyes couldn't lie what she was really feeling, she began gently dabbing Selina's cheeks. "Y-You got a little too close to your bowl and splashed yourself with water," she laughed nervously.
Leaning in a bit as she continued to dry her friend's tears, Kurumi lowered her voice to a whisper. "Do you need to leave? I am sure Professor Bishop will understand..."

SPOILER!!: Salander
"Hey there, Salander," Tayla began, a little nervously. She wondered if he still remembered her.
Still staring at the little blobs in the water, Salander started to get a little sleepy until he heard someone mention his name. Lazily he looked up then brightened up when he realized who it was "Tayla wzup!" he grinned at his young Potions partner. He nudged to the vacant seat near him and tilted his head back at his water bowl. "You done with yours? All I'm seeing in mine are shapeless blobs--" he trailed off then realized that a shape was starting to form "--well, ok maybe one of them kinda looks like a butterfly, either than or a really wide hourglass, but yeah.... seems more like a butterfly to me."

Daichi looked around him as students were already writing down their shapes that they see in the bowls. He sighed and was about to lower his hand when the Professor walked to him. Rescueee!
The first year nodded a bit shyly when she explained what he was doing wrong. He had never used the spell before but he had heard of it. In potions class they had to use the spell but someone else had helped him. Daichi watched, transfixed as the Professor performed the spell. He carefully watched the wand movements and noticed that his previous movements had been a bit too agressive. He watched with twinkles in his eyes as she filled the bowl with water but his twinkles died when she only filled it a few inches. Mweh couldn't she fill the whole bowl? It would be much easier to Daichi.
He was still going to try though. "I think i get it.." better than saying i have no clue , right? The first year grabbed his wand and pointed it at the bowl. He concentrated his thoughts on the charm and made the same movement the Professor had done. "Aguamenti" His hopes had been too high because nothing happened again. But he was NOT giving up! "Aguamenti!" this time something DID happen, a few drops of water leaked from the wand. Daichi smiled broadly and tried again , more focused now. "Aguamenti!" Water flowed in to the bowl and Daichi literally squealed at his success. "I did it~!" he said to ..well..more to himself than anyone else.
Daichi broke the spell off when the bowl had the right amount of water and he then grabbed the oil to pour some in too. Now he had to wait.
He waited and looked..waited and looked..almost fell asleep and looked.
Was something spectacular suppose to happen? Daichi sighed as he stared in to his bowl of water and oil. Well he couldn't see a th... wait, what's that? Daichi jumped up from his seat and stared in to the bowl. It looked like a .. Axe? He wasn't sure because it also looked like a candle , not that those things looked the same... He decided to write down both of them , just in case.
SPOILER!!: Symbols
AXE - difficulties; if at top overcoming of difficulties
CANDLE - sacred light, creational flame, help from others
It would certainly be nice of the oil if it created letters that told the future specifically, but he realized that multiple symbols would be far more helpful than one alone. "It did. Thank you, Professor" He said eager to pour the oil into the water bowl, which he did without hesitation, although with a shaky hand, and leaned over to get a very close look at the symbols as they formed. His face was a little less than two inches from the bowl as he observed the oil very closely in order to identify the symbols successfully. When the oil had stopped moving, Eino could distinctively see four symbols. The first resembled a chain, the second was a little difficult to identify but Eino finally recorded it as a lamp, the third was a book, and the fourth and last was a butterfly. He wrote these down very quickly, then took his list and searched for them. The first, was a chain, but it also looked like a necklace, so Eino looked at both of their interpretations and they both had "DNA" in common. The second was a lamp, but in the list there were different types of lamps, so Eino returned to the bowl to see the position of his lamp. The lamp was at the side, which according to the list it meant that secrets would be revealed. The same happened to the third symbol, the book, depending on how it looked it could be read differently. Eino's book was closed so that mean he had to investigate? The final was a butterfly, which meant transformation, transition, and something called the butterfly effect, to which Eino saw a small note and read it. This was one messy group of symbols, He thought. He hadn't the slightest idea of what to do with them, but he would be very cautious not to step on a butterfly.
Still staring at the little blobs in the water, Salander started to get a little sleepy until he heard someone mention his name. Lazily he looked up then brightened up when he realized who it was "Tayla wzup!" he grinned at his young Potions partner. All I'm seeing in mine are shapeless blobs--" he trailed off then realized that a shape was starting to form "--well, ok maybe one of them kinda looks like a butterfly, either than or a really wide hourglass, but yeah.... seems more like a butterfly to me."
Tayla grinned and sat at the seat near Salander. "Well, I saw an egg a few seconds ago...but it's gone now."
Tayla squinted at Salander's bowl. "Hmm...yeah, sorta looks like a butterfly." She looked back at the list of symbols provided by the professor. "Butterfly means...transition or transformation. Um..." Tayla's eyes furrowed and then she gave a big smile again. "Are you planning to transfigure yourself into an animal or something?"
She looked at her bowl again. The blobs didn't look like anything to her really, but with a little imagination... "I think I have...a mask over there. But when I look at it this way...it looks like some kind of flower, a rose maybe."
Tayla raised her eyebrows in amusement. "A mask means something hidden. While a flower...no, that's not on the list...but the rose is right there. It means creation, flower of life, or love."
Tayla suddenly thought of the locket her grandma gave her and which she always wore around her neck. She still didn't know what was in it. "That's definitely something hidden..." she thought.
Shrugging, she looked up at Salander and showed him her bowl. "What do you think?"
Kurumi looked up at Professor Bishop with eyes that were begining to glaze over herself, only hers were with tears of concern for Selina. Kurumi never knew how long her little lion sister would be in her fragile state and she naturally had no idea WHAT she was seeing.

When Selina opened her eyes from her tears and her vision she saw that she was face to face with the basin that they were using in Divination. She then heard Kurumi begin to talk to her and she felt her friend patting away the tears that had streamed down her face. Selina lifted her head up to see that Bishop was standing by and the Kurumi had told some lie that Selina had splashed her face with the water from the basin. Her mouth let out a sigh of relief, she didn't have to explain anything to anyone in the class. Not like they had noticed that she had gone under. Kurumi always did an excellent job of concealing her when she went into one of her visions.
Finally calm she looked up at Kurumi and said, "Thanks, you know me. I'm only coordinated when I'm flying." Her voice hitched a few times when she spoke, but she needed to stay strong. She had to or else she was sure to have a mental break down.
Then Kurumi whispered something to Selina and Selina shook her head that now hung low. "No... I'm fine. I, um, swear. I just... need to make it through the class. Then we can talk." She looked at Professor Bishop and said, "Then we all can talk if you want."

Having nothing else better to do, Sierra decided to try and do one more reading before the professor moved on to something else. Or maybe she'd move on to the end of class, and they'd be dismissed. Hmm. One could only hope. Though for now, class was still going on, so Sierra drew a line on her parchment under the notes for the first reading and started again.
She slightly shook her mixture, causing the goat shape to shift and turn back into simple oil over water. She watched and waited...and watched and waited...and watched and waited. Finally, she glared at her mixture, and the glare must have done it, because the mixture finally began to shift.
- It's a creature
- Has four legs
- Head is tilted backward, so the creature appears to be looking up
- Mouth is shaped like the creature is howling
- It's a wolf
Sierra skimmed down the list of shapes, finally finding wolf toward the bottom. It meant jealousy?! ...but, she wasn't jealous! Of who!? Of what?! What are you trying to say to me, you blasted mixture of oil and water?!

Still half-focused on the situation with Selina, Renée turned slightly as she heard another voice asking for her help and sent a smile to Zara. That truly did seem to be a bit of a dilemma, if the image wasn’t clarifying itself to the young Gryffindor. Stepping slightly over to the girl’s table, she glanced down at the oil floating in the bowl and tilted her head slightly as she considered things. The little blob was definitely vaguely rectangular, but beyond that it seemed to be resisting clarification. “Hmm,” she replied. “It’s not a table, but beyond that I can’t say what it is or isn’t. Did you have any other symbols, which might clarify things?” Obviously, she’d been looking for a while before calling her over, so there was the possibility she wasn’t getting all the information. She was still a bit distracted, but she was managing to keep most of her focus on Zara’s dilemma.

Before she could get an answer, though, it seemed Selina’s situation had resolved itself for the time being. Even though Renée knew quite well that this was neither the first nor the last time the redheaded Gryffindor would go through it, and she at least had to be proud of Kurumi for how she’d dealt with it all. She knew Selina didn’t want the focus on her, so after glancing back over, she simply nodded to show she’d acknowledged the girl’s inclusion of her in the directive. There was always her office, as that would be more private than the classroom.
Returning her attention mostly to Zara, although she’d sent nods toward both Eino and William as they spoke to her again, she waited for a few moments more before raising her head to include the whole class in her next statements. “Okay, everyone. Let’s keep trying for a few more minutes, and then call it a day,” she said. There were still several students who looked to be continuing their readings, at least, and she figured there was enough time to hopefully let them finish up. Not to mention the mystery of Zara’s rectangle, which she was still hoping they could solve before the lesson was over. She could only drag it on so long before they’d need to be off to the next lesson, after all.
ooc: I think I'm going to try and wrap things up later today. ^.^ Since other lessons are going now too.
