| | Defense Training Room
The Headmaster has re-purposed this old classroom for an entirely different use. The room is larger than it should be; the fact that Tate reduced a wall into an adjoining room is obvious by the fact that it has two doors along the same long wall. Rather than leaving an empty office or reinventing the standard dueling area, the room now serves as a training facility for those with an interest in Defense and Defense related careers: Aurors, Hit Wizards, and the International Task Force (among others).
The two windows in the room face out over an inner courtyard and let in tree-filtered light throughout the day. Beside one such window, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves have been stuffed full of countless Defense texts. The titles range from ancient tomes in spidery indecipherable scripts to glossy hardcovers featuring some of the premiere Defensive authors of the day. The long table is conducive for transcribing notes from the various books, but there are also a few deep chairs pushed together for general reading or quiet conversation. There is a sign posted on the bookshelf. Quote:

A punching bag is suspended from the ceiling in the corner, sitting beside a stand of free weights and other odds and ends, mats and exercise balls and the like. Stretching along the remainder of the space to the window is an enormous climbing wall, complete with hand and foot holds all the way up to the ceiling. There are no ropes, but the floor is generously cushioned with a charm.
Between the two windows sit a series of padded dummies, perfect for any dueling practice needed for class or just to be used in the process of learning new spells. Drag one or two out and practice. Either of the windows onto the courtyard may be opened and, weather permitting, training can extend into this open space. Try not to kill and trees or squirrels in the process. Quote:

Probably not. Tayla smiled. Ari was so nice.
At Ari's question, Tayla checked the list again. "Hmmm...there's the '100 minutes of meditating about a proper role model' and 'talk to yourself in the mirror about your goals and how you'll achieve each one'." Tayla looked up from the parchment. "How about we do the meditating together? We can talk about it. It'll be more fun to share."

She noticed him blush when he confessed to her that he liked Ellie Stone and that made her smile a little. But she didn't say anything after that; it seemed to her that she kind of made things awkward to begin with and she didn't want to continue down that path so she just nodded and kept dancing, following his lead.
Letting out a little awkward laugh, Ellie looked at him again. "I'm kind of a book junkie. I read. All the time. I've probably read half the books in the library." She told him with a shrug. And even if Gilderoy's books weren't completely honest, she still enjoyed reading about his adventures. "So is he like your grandfather or great-grandfather or something?" Ellie asked.
As she was falling, she felt her ankle twist across Treyen's foot and she landed with a nice THUD! on the floor. And not a half-second later, Treyen followed.
Right on top of her rib cage.
For a second, Ellie wondered if he was going to get off of her or if he was just perfectly content with preventing her from breathing. He wasn't that heavy. Ellie was just a tad frail. She wheezed when he rolled off of her and onto his knees. And he... He was LAUGHING?! "Never better." She squeaked and then took a deep breath. "No, I wasn't lying about that, believe it or not." Ellie said sarcastically, rubbing her ribs. He breathed in relief when she actually said she was...alright, yes? And then completely sat on the floor. No need to rush for the Hospital Wing or anything. At least not yet.
By the way, the song decided to end at THIS precise moment. "I'm so terribly sorry, El," he said, even though she'd been the one to trip first, and then pulled him to the floor, "But, I guess we finished just in time," he winked. And the radio thing wasn't giving out any other kind of music, it was as if it knew they weren't dancing anymore. Sometimes magical devices were creepy enough.
He was still finding her funny, "Oh, no, I believe you now," and she also had the ability to bring people down with her as well. Pretty clumsy, then. "You never told me your last name, by the way," they weren't dancing anymore, but he wasn't precisely leaving yet. What if she actually got injured but failed to notice because she was still laying there? Yeah, not cool. "And you're one of the few Ravenclaws I know that actually like books," which was something to smile about, considering he adored them.
Oh, they were still mentioning Gilderoy? GRIN. "Great-granduncle, actually," or whatever it was called, his great-grandfather was his brother.

He didn't really care though, as he ignored the guy, and the people he was with, moving towards the other end of the room, where the punch bag was. Finlay dropped his tie onto the floor, before sending punching the bag. It moved vaguely, noise sounding around the room. It wasn't his best though. He was a bit out of it really. Spike saw Finn enter, and he gave the Head Boy a small smile and wave. Nothing too big, as he was meant to be concentrating. And, as much as he wanted Finn and Jimmy speaking again, he figured now wasn't the time. Hopefully soon would be, but he wasn't going to throw away his personal spellwork lesson with Jimmy. Quote:

Maybe we should start with Urticate?" Erm...
Spike blinked.
Hissy-what? Stinging hex and a knockback jinx? Sounded painful. If he could make it work, of course. But then if he did, and it homed in? Reeeeesult! He nodded to Jimmy, wide eyed. He was listening, he was.
"Er-ti-kate," Spike repeated slowly. Stinging nettles were good. Well not good, especially when they were under the tree you just fell out of. Not the most pleasant experience of his summer. He shook his head, trying to zone back into his lesson, and not memories of awesome summer times. Thiiiink of the antlers.
"Yes, er-ti-kate. That one." His curls bounced as he gave a definitive nod. "Stinging nettles." And to show he was ready, Spike pulled his wand from his robes. Maybe he'd actually get it to do something interesting today.

Oh, they were still mentioning Gilderoy? GRIN. "Great-granduncle, actually," or whatever it was called, his great-grandfather was his brother. After Ellie finally realized that she probably wasn't going to die. She sucked in a big breath and let it go. She could still breathe. What a relief.
Well the ending of that song was convenient. A little too convenient. Almost creepy. Ellie kind of smiled, kind of winced at Treyen's apology. "It's okay. I'm just a real klutz. And definitely not a dancer." She added with a little laugh. The pain in her abdomen was subsiding, thankfully.
And Treyen believed her now. "Oh well that's good. I'd be a little worried if you didn't." She added with a laugh. It was pretty obvious that she was clumsy. "And I didn't mean to take you down with me, I... Well, I kinda did, actually." She snorted. "Sorry." She apologized with a laugh. There was no way she was going down alone. "Oh. It's Johanson." She replied with a nod. Not some famous name at all. There were like twenty Malfoys at the school it seemed. And now she knew of a Lockheart. But Johanson... Average. Ellie chuckled at the book comment. "I'm actually quite different than most in my house. They're avid studiers, always getting their work in on time and I'm... reading." Ellie confessed. She was never good with completing assignments.
Pff, great-grand-uncle. Same thing. "Right. That's what I said." Ellie joked with a laugh.

Pff, great-grand-uncle. Same thing. "Right. That's what I said." Ellie joked with a laugh. He eyed her, checking for any signs that told him she was in pain, but while he noticed she wasn't alright, she seemed to be better by now. Nothing to be concerned about. Good.
Treyen chuckled, "I beg to differ on the 'dancer' part, because you were dancing back there...you just had problem with speeding up...," he said, while remembering the twirling fiasco. But he was slightly glad that it didn't work out. It only meant that he could do so with Ellie, not El.
The boy shook his head, it was VERY obvious that she'd pulled him so she didn't have to fall on her own, and she was going to deny--oh, no, she didn't deny it, good. "Yeah, not the nicest thing, but I suppose that's human nature," not to fail on your own? Probably. He smiled next, "Apology accepted," he said, winking once.
Johanson? Nod. He's never heard it before, though, but that didn't mean she didn't have anyone famous in her family tree. For all Treyen knew some infamous Potioneer could be her great-great-great-grandfather or something. "Exactly, that's what I meant. Just the reading part alone." So, just books. He never said anything about assignments, did he? "I can see why you don't finish some assignments," but this had to be a first for the girl, right? Because they danced for ALMOST a whole piece.
He nodded again. That WASN'T what she'd said, but, yeah, whatever, it was very close. "He's still on my family tree, that's all that truly matters," he shrugged, with a smile.

No need to talk about how embarassing it was, though, right?' the tiny brunette chuckled. 'Yeah, let's do the meditation.' she agreed. But finding a proper role model wouldn't be easy. Who? Maybe Borr was expecting children to meditate about him as the best role model in the world. What a joke. Hmmm...Her mum? A great person, but meditating 100minutes about her would be too sentimental. 'So who are you going to meditate about?' Ari asked Tayla curiously, while trying to remember interesting persons from the books she had read. 'I'm thinking...Minerva McGonagall. She was brilliant, independent and courageous; a true Gryffindor. Plus, Head Girl, later Professor and Head of House. Seems like a decent role model to me.' the firstie decided.
After half an hour of meditation, though, she started feeling very sleepy. 'Tayla, do you mind if we continue this some other time? I am very tired, I think I'll be off to bed.' the girl said sincerely.

Katie took a huge sip of the potion and then stepped into the room. She felt herself grow a bit younger as the Polyjuice Potion took its toll.
She had a brown lock of hair and was wearing a gray sweat shirt and top of a white t-shirt. She was very macho and that was visible. Her arms were bare and her shoulders were broad. She growled to herself. The Potion might have made her younger and made her look like that student, but it wasn't strong enough to completely cover her appearance.
She decided that it wouldn't be so noticeable to people if she were exercising, after all, most students muscles must flex a little when exercising. She walked over to some punching bags.
Then WHAMMMMMMMM POOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWW as she punched.

This basic stuff had actually began to take over his life. Maybe Borr becoming DADA professor wasn't a bad thing? At least Legend didn't find that much time to stuff his face with junk food anymore.
As soon as he was finished he took a deep breath and leaned forward, preforming an excellent front roll. Only 49 more to go.

She stepped in after a boy a few years older than her and stopped at a safe distance behind him so she could watch. Mimicking him, she reached down to touch her toes. It wasn't nearly as hard since she'd been running all over the castle all day. Okay. Stretching done then.
Next, the boy began to do front rolls. OH! She was good at these. Macy crouched down on the floor and rolled over forwards. One. She crouched down again. Roll. Two. Crouch. Roll. Three. She looked up at the boy. He was still going too.
The fourth year performed three more. There was six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten front rolls. Forty more to go.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Jordan Kobe Fifth Year | I Can Accept Failure. But I Can't Accept Not Trying
After a few good nights of rest, Jordan was ready to workout again. He stretched his legs, neck, arms and ankles. He was ready to run. So he dashed outside and began his five mile run. After his run, he came inside to do some anaerobic activities. He started by Lifting. Then he moved on to meditating, as if nobody was there. And he finished off with two hundred sit ups. "Pretty successful workout, eh?" Jordan mumbled to himself.

What amused Orlando at the moment however was that a girl had come in after Legend and was now mimicking him completely. WOW. SUPER GIRL WITH SUPER STRENGTH. Orlando was half unsure about pulling off all the stunts Legend was performing and this girl was doing them so easily.
NICE.
His eyes shifted from Legend to the girl. Back and forth. Forth and back.
"Legend ... this girl is a better student of yours than I ever will be" the sixteen year old announced, looking at the girl.

It looked like they had an audience. And she did not do well in front of audiences. The girl stopped in an awkward sitting position on the floor and glanced back and forth between the two boys. Huh? Everyone kept saying that for come reason. Orlando was not sure why. He just simply stated facts. How was he silly in doing thaat? He nodded when Legend said, she was awesome. Well duh. She was pulling off what Legend was doing. EPIC GIRL WAS EPIC. "But she could be your student. You could teach her stuff. And make her your MINI ME!"
Now that would be awesome.
When the girl spoke, Orlando shook his head - brushing his hand in an indifferent manner. "But you are basically cloning him. And you are a girl. That's pretty awesome in my book."

Or else they'd all run away from him. "You are my mini me. Calm down Orlando. Roll with us if you want." He had done 35, so Orlando wasn't going to catch up anytime soon but it was alright. "What are you doing here?"

Macy blinked a few times and cocked her head to the side. "Uhh, thanks?" she said. She wasn't entirely sure if she was supposed to thank him or not. He was complementing her so... yeah, probobly. She was pretty awesome actually.
She fit in another ten and tried to do the math. Hmm, that meant she was at ... 42? Yeah, that sounded right.
The fourth year tuned back into the conversation. Mini-me? She was nobody's mini-me. Or at least as far as she knew. Macy wasn't sure she wanted to be a mini-me. Quote:

Five year olds can do somersaults! "Macy Sinclair," she answered. "Fourth year." OOOOH. She was talking to a Prefect. Impressive. *snort* Right. It didn't seem like he was basking in the glory of his title or anything though, so maybe he was alright.
Whew! Good. Legend already had a mini-me. She couldn't be it then. Macy finished up her forward rolls with eight more and took the list of stuff she was supposed to do that week out of her pocket. 50 forward rolls- check!

| *sappysapper* MAJNOO, YO! "I am calm" Orlando stated, politely - trying to not roll his eyes. Why diid they treat him like that? He was just complementing the girl. He gave a small nod when the girl thanked him however. Seee, maybe she did appreciate his compliment.
OH? He was Legend's Mini me? NOW THAT made the sixteen year old grin like a foool. That was a position he was most willing to take. "I would roll with yoou .. but it seems very silly" he said, looking over at the girl who continued to do it. "See .. it's silly and I am here to get the homework donee .. I would not do it alone, obviously - so I will tag along you from now on."
When the introductions were done between the two, his jaw pretty much dropped. "YOU ARE A PREFECT?" he almost shouted. "What kind of friend are you? YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO TELL ME!"

Legend smiled at her before doing a few more rolls. He was almost done. So close. Once he stopped again he noticed that Macy had already finished. Huh. The fourth year was already done. Legend shook his head and tried to concentrate. Alright. He had to really go. With much determination he completed his last 5 rolls. "So why were you copying me Macy?" Quote:

"It's silly but Borr said to do it." Legend shrugged. Yeah. Borr wasn't the smartest person but maybe these rolls could help their reflexes or something like that? Yeah it made sense when he thought of it. Like if you were doing to become an Auror and you needed to dive and roll there would be no way you'd be hit with any spells if you trained like this.
WOAH. Legend's green eyes blinked as Orlando basically shouted at him. "Calm down Lando!" He said as he stood up and held up his arms to calm the boy down. "I just became Prefect. I'm basically just a replacement Prefect." He nodded. Yeah. That was all

Well, apparently the antler thing was motivational. Who knew?
"Well there's a bunch of different ones at least five I can think of off the top of my head, my favourite is Histideus. Its epic because its a stinging hex AND a knockback jinx all rolled into one. And when you get good at it, you can aim it a bit too, it sort of homes in on your target and you can make it curve around things that are in your way. Then there is Urticate, which has a pretty easy wand movement and stings like nettles." And if it was done hard enough, felt a bit like you were being whipped with 'em. Maybe we should start with Urticate?"
Huh?
Jim turned around.
"... nope, not at all... whats up?" Did he look like the kind of person who was able to answer questions? Well, that was interesting and he supposed he was, it was just that he hadn't been aware he... looked the part.
He looked at the other one and smiled. Yeah?
What did they want? Back in the defense room shortly after he had left, Simon stepped inside the room with the headmaster and eager student in tow this time around. Glancing across the room, the captain looked for his soon to be partner in leading the group, Jimmy having moved around a bit since he had left. His gaze finally fell on the Ravenclaw and he gingerly picked his way along the edge of the room and the various gathered exercising students to up beside the fellow seventh year. "Back with Headmaster Tate," he said absently before turning back to those following him.

She half-listened as the boys carried on their conversation, performing her stretches. Then the Legend boy fixed his attention back on her. Joy.
She nodded as he said it was nice to meet her. Hmm. And WHYY was she copying him? Uhh... "I dunno," she said with a shrug. "It's easier to exercise with a partner, I guess. So I figured I'd just copy you." All the fun of working out with a stranger, without the added creepyness. |

He was really excited about this entire thing but also really shy. Here he was a little Hufflepuff 1st year walking along side the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain and Headmaster of Hogwarts all eyes must of been on those two.
If any eyes were to gaze upon Oakey it would probably be something like Hey, isn't that the boy that Jacob almost killed. Oakey backed up a bit after this thought. He didn't want to be seen now if that's what it was going to be like.
he bravely stepped into the room, hiding slightly behind the Griffindor Captain.

Tate meandered into the room in Simon's wake, taking in all the activity. This room had probably never seen this much frenetic activity, and they had Borr to thank for that. Heh. Ironic.
"Let me unlock the room across the hall, and you lot can move your training in there. Less likely for someone to get lit on fire or trampled if we spread out a bit."

Macy stood up from her stretching and gave the boys a wave. "I'm actually done with my rolls now, so I think I'll find somebody else to copy," she stated. Hopefully somebody that wasn't quite as odd as these two. "See you around then." *SNORT* Noooot.
The fourth year gave the boys a half-smile and took off out the door, and into the separate classroom. Hmm. What to do now?

Ariella made her way into the DADA Training Room. Time to get some more of her long-term assignment done. She reread step 2 on her piece of parchment.
100 minutes? Jeez. That's an awfully long time to be meditating. First she needed to choose her role model. Wow, so many to choose from. She took out a spare piece of parchment and wrote down all of her possibilities. When she was finished, she had a list. 1) Harry Potter
2) Albus Dumbledore
3) Godric Gryffindor
4) Hermione Granger
5) Ron Weasley
Hmm....who would she pick? After a few minutes of thinking, she decided to go with Harry Potter. After all, he was one of her role models.
She sat down in the corner of the room and used a form of 'lumos' to draw a light from her wand. She used her finger to write "MEDITATING"in big letters. The light cloud floated above her. She hoped students would get the message not to think she was weird for lying on the ground with her eyes closed.
She relaxed her muscles and rested her head on her scarf, which was in her bag. She closed her eyes, and thought about Harry Potter.
Gosh, was he brave. After loosing his parents, he still had the courage to go fight Voldemort. Several times, he had the courage to sacrifice himself for his friends. He was the one who destroyed Voldemort, after all.
Ariella thought about these thoughts for a long time. She checked her watch. It had been 105 minutes! That wasn't as bad as she thought. She folded her scarf and placed it back into her bag, and used 'diffindo' to clear away her cloud of light. It shattered and dissolved into the air. Then, she took out her DADA diary and started to recount her activity for Lord Borr.
