Simon looked at Amy and smiled as he got up. "I'll be fine." Simon said truthfully though at the minute he was hurting he was sure that eventually the pain would go away, maybe he should tell the professor he was mean and heartless well Simon thought so anyway.

Simon saw Amy's cat and decided he would get it one way or another, doing the same thing he did before this time he caught Amy's cat the only problem was it didn't want catching because it was scratching him and his robes like crazy, turning to Amy he put the cat in her hands. "I think that's your cat." Simon smiled as he took the cat Amy was pointing at, before looking at his robes. "The Professor owes me a new set I think." Simon sighed as he saw blood coming from his arm. "It looks like I've been involved in a fight." Simon hoped him and Amy were still friends.

You sure? Amy asked, looking at him doubtfully, still holding the squirming cat. That bloody "just call me Shaw-or-I'll-eat-your-head" was going to pay for making her jump and run. Bloody man.

She watched Simon make another leap for her troublesome moggy, evidently, he'd been starving her, or she wouldn't of gone this mental, she was always a little mental like her owner, but this, this was off the scale. Off. The. Scale. Yeah, it is she smiled, giggiling at him, swap? She asked, passing him the slightly more passive, compared to her mental ball of fluff, and holding her down in her arms, squeezing her, and stroking her head, clinging onto the cat so she didn't run off again. She was very tempted to just put her robes over the cats head, but didn't. She'd pull her tail if she kept on, that would chill her out.

Yeah, he does, she nodded, laughing slightly, don't worry, we'll go to Hogsmede and get them replaced she nodded, smiling at him, well, you have, she shrugged, with an unfair hungry partner she winked. For all their angry and shouty arguments they had, they still had the ability to get on.

Sometimes.

Hallie continued to stomp around the corridor filled with crazed cats. She was still angry at Shaw for taking her kitten and especially for making them give up their wands and do this stupid task. What did catching cats have to do with Transfiguration?!

Eying a cat nearest to her, one that didn't look as ugly as all the others, Hallie was now determined to catch the cat and take it back to Shaw. Easing forward towards the cat, Hallie crouched down and extended her hand, maybe if the cat smelled her the cat wouldn't attack her like the last one attempted to.

The cat sniffed her and turned it's head up at her as if to say, "Please, you humans are nuts." Hallie took another step forward and stroked the cats head. In return, the cat clawed her hand with both paws. "Ouch!" Hallie screeched as she retracted her hand and held it against her body. "Not nice." Hallie reprimanded the cat.

Taking a chance, Hallie stood up and reached down, picking the cat up. The cat began pawing at her robes, making tears in them from the cats claws. "Oh it's going down Shaw." She growled as she began to stomp back to the classroom.

Thea-Aurora had been sitting cross-legged in the middle of the corridoor for some time now. A particular fat, furry persian cat kept prowling round her.. and was creeping nearer and nearer. Thea had already mentally named her, Maleficent. It was the way she carried herself, her head high.. tail bristling. Slowly, she reached out a hand, the hand without the bracelets, to stroke the white cat. Tail twitching, she reached out and bowed her head as if giving Thea permission to touch her. Smiling, Thea stroked the cats head. 'There we go, pretty kitty..' She cooed softly. Stretching out her other arm, she slowly picked the fatty up, her bracelets tinkling softly. The kitty was purring happily, and didn't complain as Thea got to her feet.

MWAHA. Keemon Thea grinned, her tounge sticking out slightly. Resulttttt!
She rolled her eyes slightly as about four other students bashed into her, all going for the same cat. 'You are clearly not going to be able to catch that cat! [I]More like crush it..' She thought to herself. Raising her eyebrows, she wandered back to the classroom clutching the big white cat.

Another episode of madness. Utter madness, since they haven't recovered from the chainsaw lesson yet. Ari loved cats, but this time she had a bad feeling about what would happen next. Luckily, her own cat Pluto was not in the classroom or here on the corridor. Smart one, for not getting caught. But the problem to catch one of these unfriendly cats still remained. Plus, having no wand definitely didn't make it easier. The first year approached the cat closer to her, which seemed pretty calm, but changed its mood in a second and left ugly scratches on the girl's hands. Ariadne held back her tears and took a deep breath. Then, to her surprise, another kitten came close to her and this one was really tame. Reluctantly, the Gryffindor lifted it in her arms and fortunately the animal didn't protest. Now back to the classroom...

Lexi looked at him curiously though. "You must be allergic, Salander," she said simply as she turned back to the task at hand. She was hunting kitties...

Lexi was still crawling toward the orange kitty that Neptune was shaking her bracelet at when she heard... "She most certainly will NOT be joining us. Ever." So says LEXI! Hmph. SOOOOO not going to work.

"I dun fink he likes your bracelet... HEEEEEERE KIIIIIITY KITTTTTY," she said as she iiiiiinched closer to the kitty cat. Then.... without forewarning- SHE POUNCED AT THE KITTY. In her attempt to tackle the cat she, unfortunately, caught it's tail as it turned to run. THAT did not make kitty very happy.

Pfft, punishment for the cat? It was punishment for HER to have to put up with it! Actually, it was punishment enough to be in the same corridor with Lexi and Neptune. TWICE the punishment.

Whatever though. She was going to catch this wild cat whether it, the others, or herself liked it or not.

Reaching down just as the fluffy tailed cat was running past her in a weird, sideways way, Evelyn flung her cloak over it and tried to hold it down to wrap it up. Wrap up the aaarms! And the CLAWS! And...and...

There. She had a cat in a bundle. A squirmy...cat...in a bundle. Squirmy and meowing. Did it have to meow so loud and be annoying? Oh wait, that was Lexi. "I wouldn't join your group if you were the last person alive on earth." she muttered, scowling at Lexi. SCOWL. She had her cat anyway.

Lexi snapped her head up and GLARED at Evelyn. "Well at least we agree on SOMETHING," she said before she started muttering a few choice swear words under her breath. Yeah. That was how much she DISliked Evelyn Flores Shephard Flores whatever her name was.

"And your scowl is NOT impressive at all," she called after the unfortunate girl. Pffft. Evelyn was such a loser.

"Then he has no taste at all. It's a really pretty bracelet," Neptune showed Lexi. She'd gotten it from... a fan. She wasn't sure who. But she wore it a lot, had a pretty little heart on it. If the cat didn't agree, then maybe THAT wasn't the cat for them either. Neptune was already almost well over it, despite how pretty it's orange fur was.

She shot Lexi a glance, but didn't comment on Evelyn joining their group. Neptune hadn't EXACTLY been asking Lexi's permission to invite Evelyn over.

Neptune was startled by Evelyn's cat-catching, effective as it was. She almost went to help, but only managed a step in Evelyn's direction before sense kicked in. And survival-mode, for that matter.

Then she was DOUBLY startled by Evelyn's hateful remark. As silly as it was, it hurt Neptune's feelings.

Visibly shuddering as she made her way back to the classroom, she smirked somewhat and glanced back to Lexi, just as she made it to the inside of the doorway. Hmm, she didn't miss that glare. "Oh come on Lexi." Grin. "Don't feel so bad because your glare fails."

Teehee. With a final smile to Neptuuuuuune, for some odd reason she didn't know why, the Slytherin quickly disappeared in the room. Safe in the view of the Professor and where no possible cats being thrown could get to her.

Walking calmly out into the corridor, Iris crossed her arms and looked around. The cats were ALL EVERYWHERE. How on EARTH were they meant to be expected to go chasing the bloody things!? Spotting a tortoiseshell-looking cat chasing something around... It was probably just a big clump of dirt or something. Smiling slightly, you wouldn't have guessed that it was a wild cat. It looked adorable... and smelly. Never mind that, though!

Now... how to actually catch the cat...

Lexi snorted as she sat up from her failed kitty catching attempt. She hated those feral cats. HATED THEM. "Yes, it's a great bracelet." Lexi was grumpy now. And annoyed.

Glancing at Evelyn she rolled her eyes. Yeah perhaps Evelyn thought her scowl was fail, but they both knew her right hook wasn't. So Evelyn could continue yapping or get punched in the face. Again. Lexi was so over this whole thing.

"Let's make someone else catch the kitties. I dun want to ask Salander to do anything for me. He thinks I get my way too often as it is. Apparently he doesn't always like doing what I want," she said crabbily as she rubbed her now reddened elbow.

She sat in the floor and pouted. Stupid cats.



As she sat there a rather curious little black and white kitty simply made to scuttle past... and Lexi reached out and grabbed it making sure to hold it AWAY from herself a bit so as not to get slapped in the face or something like that... if the kitty so chose to act out.

It seemed to have worn itself out with all the crazy, though. SO YAY. She caught a kitty.

Roderigo was worried. It seemed absolutely no one knew how to obtain these cats without getting maimed. People were forming groups, and that, to Roderigo, seemed the most logical move. As people left and right began forming groups, however, Roderigo was beginning to think that he would have to tackle this ordeal by himself. But then, as people around him moved away, he noticed one of his friends in the room; Theodore Dumble. With a sigh of relief and a huge grin, the Spaniard ran up to his fellow Ravenclaw, who looked extremely worried and uncomfortable.
"What's the matter..." he asked, "you don't like cats, Theo?" He suppressed a laugh by doubling up and turning it into a nasty cough. As he stood back up, his eyes watering slightly, and he grinned to his friend. "Shall we work together? I'm really uncomfortable with being wandless." He felt powerless, weak even. It felt very strange, not having a wand to protect yourself.

Why, just WHY did the man had to be a freak in his very LAST year at Hogwarts?! Where had that woman--Magsomething--gone?! Why did she leave him alone with this FREAK in his most important year?! Why did he have to be so unlucky?! If only he could get this year without any 'accident', he would be happily on his route to becoming a professional footballer. But now, he was stuck with hundreds of wild cat; Merlin knew whether they had hydrophobia or worse! Cursing under his breath, he eyed the stairs, which looked even more attractive now.

If only he didn't carry that badge.

Glaring around, he just stood by the wall to the entrance of the class and looked for someone hardworking and fit enough to team up, and also young enough to make him catch the cat himself. Evan had no time nor the will for this. He didn't get that badge to save others, he had also got it to 'use'.

Now was the perfect time.

How was Samira suppose to catch a cat without a wand?! This was crazy! Samira didn't even like cats...

She tried and failed to catch three, and one even scratched her ankle. What did this have to do with transfiguration anyway? This man--Shaw--was crazy, and Samira was a little scared of him. Was he even stable. She let out a huff of frustration and looked around. Swiveling around, she spotted an older Prefect. Moving slowly, Samira walked over next to him. "Um, hi. Do you think you can help me catch a cat?" This was insane. Samira hated asking for help, but she was really getting fed up with doing this alone.

Evan's blue eyes were scanning the corridor, and he did set his eyes on a few of younger students; but they all turned out to have teamed up with someone else. Shame. They were missing the great opportunity to work for with him. Then, his eyes were fixed on a young Slytherin girl, and he smiled as she seemed to be approaching to himself.

"Ah... yes, of course," he said, smile getting bigger. Perfect novice. "Evan Cartwright," he said, holding out his hand to shake. Normally, he would have expected her to already know that--he was her prefect, primarily, after all--but he cared to please her first this time.

A brief smile flittered across Samira's face as she shook her fellow Slytherin's hand. "Nice to meet you, Evan," she said. "Samira Spinks." The Slytherin took a step back and let her eyes scan the corridor. The little monsters were everywhere. Samira cringed. In a short moment of silence, Samira rocked back on her heels, trying to think of strategic moves. "Ok," she said finally. "I think we should both corner one. Then once we catch that one, we can do it again, so we'll both have a cat." To Samira, that seemed like the perfect strategy. It was quick, and with the both of them it couldn't go wrong.

Caroline had decided that the best way to catch one of these cats was sit in the middle of the corridor cross legged and Meow. She walked to the middle of the corridor and began to meow. Very softly and got louder. "Meow, meow. MEOW!"

After about ten minutes or so her throat started to get sore. Stopping for a minute she noticed a huge Marine coon rolling around by the wall. Slowly Caroline crawled over to the cat. "Hello there." putting her hand out. The cat stopped rolling around, sat up and stared at her. She would have to grab him fast. She grabbed him around his belly.

"Ah, Got yo... ouch!!" The cat had just bit her. "No bad kitty!" Stupid kitty. She started walking back into the classroom the cat, squirmed around and almost got free. Turning the cat around in her arms and looking at it eye to eye. "Stay!" She said, in a very superior tone, she thought that her puppy Lulu didn't listen this cat was terrible. "You're coming with me." The cat seem to calm down at her voice. She scatched it behind the ears as she walked into the classroom.

Savannah looked out in to the madness. Cats...everywhere, frustrated people...everywhere...

But she saw one boy, standing alone, doing nothing at all. Well, he's probably breathing. So what's he doing? Isn't he suppose to be catching a cat? Savannah looked carefully at his hands. No cat.

Savvy walked over carefully, he seems to be in an awkward mood. "Hey," Savannah greeted the boy, she has no idea why she's doing this. "Do you...do you need a hand?" Savvy thought that was a weird question, since the boy wasn't having any trouble at anything.

Samira... yeah, like he would remember once the class was over. He was graduating this year anyway, and after the Christmas he was past the point to even try remembering names. His eyes kept scanning in that a few moments' silence, and he shrugged at the suggestion. "Fair enough..." He wasn't touching them, he would just go through the effort of cornering. Then it was up to Sammy--or whatever her name was--to hold them...

...or maybe, he didn't have to do anything at all. "Hi," he greeted back with a beam. "Yes of course. I mean, we're better in three." There, these Slytherin girls would do the job and he would get some credit. SWEET! Unlucky day wasn't so unlucky, after all. He got not one but TWO who were willing to help him, and both were not one of those, say, idiot Ravenclaws but SLYTHERINS.

"I'm Evan, she's Samira," he summarised quickly, and paused for a moment to let her introduce herself. "We were just discussing y--we should corner them. It's the quickest way."

Cat-catching WAS tiring and since that Lunatic wasn't out here to watch .... Neptune figured a break was alright. "Sally...... Salander...." Damsel Bott in distress...... Your girlfriend's BFF can't catch a kitty.... S.O.S....

"LEXI!" SQUEAKY EXCITEMENT from Neptune! "You caught one! Oh my goodness and he's a baby!" A BABY! "Awwwwwwwwwwwww!" Awwwwww! Little wild baby!

Samira glanced up as another girl approached. Great. One more person to help. After Evan was done talking, Samira spoke. "Since there's three of us now, I think it would be best if two of us corner a cat while another one catches it. Then we'll keep doing it until each of us catches one." She looked at them expectantly. "Sound good?"

Lexi was busy holding the wiggly hissy kitty out away from her body to pay much attention to Neptune calling for Salander. SHE wasn't going to ask him ANYTHING right then. Besides, she caught the kitty. Mhm.

"I KNOW! I want to hug it... but I am afraid it'll scratch me. Pet it's head, Tuney. CALM IT DOWN," Lexi said in a worried tone. WHAT IF SHE GOT A KNEAZLEY TRANSMITTED DISEASE FROM A KITTY SCRATCH?! WHAT IF?!

Being the brave and sometimes ignorant Lioness that she was she brought the kitty closer to herself and tried to snuggle it.

Savannah beamed as she met two more awesome SLYTHERINS! "I'm Savannah." She introduced herself. This is gonna be so fun......

"Well, I'm definetly gonna do the cornering." Savannah insisted. "I don't like touching angry cats." She laughed at her own joke. "Or I guess we'll take turns, we need three cats anyways. We'll get the one we each caught."

Savannah, Samira; Samira, Savannah. Gah, these names were too long, too old and both started with an 'S'. Even if he tried, he could never learn them properly. Not today, anyway.

What? She--Savannah, he guessed--wasn't touching cats? She just had to, or else who was carrying his too? Samira was too short to even carry hers. Good thing they couldn't read minds. Hehe.

"Well, I run fast, so... I'll get them to a corner, and one of you will block the side of me... then the third person gets it." Deal? Deal. He was only doing the running part, it was the easiest. It didn't require any physical contact, and he could get one of them to get his cat too, since he would be 'recovering' from that run. Hehe.
