When Wednesday, 15 JUN @ 4pm EST to Friday, 17 JUN @ 11pm EST
Who Can Attend Hogwarts students of all ages are welcome to attend
What to Bring Broomstick
School broomsticks will be provided for First Years and for those who do not own their own broomsticks.
Everything for the second flying lesson of the term was in place but certain pieces of equipment were currently hidden from curious eyes.
Only Professor Vindictus knew what game they were going to learn today. He leaned against the broom rack and took off the pirate hat (which he thought was pretty cool to wear) while waiting for students to arrive.

Fire!
The bright flames were again starting to distract Mina as she finished flying through the second third of the barrels. Ten more to go and she could start all over again, but maybe she would fly a bit faster the second time around.
Pulling up to catch her breath, she eyed the last ten barrels and tilted her head slightly. They did look rather pretty all ablaze and all. Fire was fun and flying through it was pretty amusing as well.
Flying and fire, who would have thought the two would go so well together.
Shaking her head, she leaned back down against her broom and started back on course. Ten more barrel stood in her way of starting a second lap.
How long have I been staying here? Brielle thought, looking around her. She had been hovering in mid air for Merlin knows how long, just staring at the barrel before her. It was time to start! "You can do this, girl," she whispered to herself, trying to feel even just a little bit braver than she really was.
She bent her upper body a little bit forward, her eyes focusing on the other end of the barrel, when she would finally be safe from the fire. Gulping nervously, she gripped her broom handle tighter than ever before, and leaned her whole body forward.
Wind rushed behind her as she headed towards the barrel, soon enough, she could feel the cool air turn a little bit warmer as her whole body entered the burning obstacle, she couldn't help but close her eyes. The heat rushed through her and finally, cool air again. Opening her blue orbs, Brielle looked behind her to see the barrel.

Sierra let out a slight growl as she headed for the twenty-sixth barrel. She was getting frustrated with how long this was taking her, and she was just ready to be done with it. She flew straight through the next barrel in line, catching both arms and half her left leg on fire.
Riiiight. The only time in her life when she'd see fire on her skin and not think twice about it. She steered toward the next barrel, making it through number twenty-seven in less than no time.
Great. Now her right leg was on fire, too, and she felt like she was trapped in a greenhouse in the middle of summer in a hundred and three degree heat. Soon the fire died down, but just as it did so, Sierra flew through barrel number twenty-eight, catching her right arm on fire again. Grrr!
Right. Brielle looked down on her body, arms check, legs check. So, she was still alive, and unburned. That wasn't so bad after all. Now all she had to do was go through a few more... and this time, go a bit faster so the whole 'game' would finally end.
Again, gripping her handle, she leaned her body forward and the broom zoomed on,
second... third... seventh...tenth...
The 11th was a bit on the side and she swerved her broom to the left, then stopped abruptly. Her arm was on fire.

Sierra narrowed her eyes in determination. Seeing that she only had two more barrels to go gave her the ambition to get a move on and get this over with. She eyed the barrel up ahead, making sure her aim was just right, and she wouldn't ending up scorching herself.
Well, the charms would prevent that anyway, but she didn't exactly want to take any chances. She made one more steer to the left and then flew right through the middle of barrel number twenty-nine. Now...where was that thirtieth and final barrel?
Spotting it just up ahead, she made a beeline for it, soaring straight through it just as she'd hoped she would. Dear Merlin! That was it! She'd done it...
She wanted to scream, she needed to. Instead, she brought her broom to the ground as fast as she could and tried to brush away the flames that were licking her arm. As soon as her feet was on the ground, though, the fire dissapeared. She swallowed nervously, and she checked her whole body in panic.
Her body was still whole and she closed her eyes. That was when she noticed the tears that had made their way to their face. Fire. One of the deadliest things on earth.
Looking around, Brielle was content to know that nobody had seen her. She had panicked unnecessarily, and now, it was time to finish her task. Jumping on her broom again, she made her way to the last barrel she had just passed through, determined now to finish the course.
Brielle seemed to be a bit braver now that she understood the fires wouldn't hurt her. Again repeating what she had done earlier, her broom zoomed on, barrel by barrel. She watched the fire she passed through flicker and crack dangerously, but she knew the Professor's protection charms were there for a reason.
Soon enough, she looked behind her to see 24 barrels already passed through. Finally, only six to go.
Her body was stiff and straight, a few parts had bright fire licking them, but her broom zoomed on. Brielle had never appreciated flying like she was now. Maybe fire wasn't so scary after all, but she knew that it was still dangerous. A hundred thoughts filled her head. They kept on coming, as if to distract her from the heat she felt every time she entered a new barrel.
Soon enough, she stopped. There were no more barrels ahead of her, just the sight of the green, grass. She had done it! Looking back, her blue eyes twinkled. She really had done it...

Reason: Triple posting
Did you just lose something? The GAME? Sorry... 'Justin Bieber, he is the man!' U mad, Felton!?
'C'mon' Rose said to herself 'You can do this!' she was determined to show William that it didn't take having famous relatives to be good at Quidditch. I mean, I'm a muggleborn! Rose thought to herself. Gonna do this.... GO! Rose flew through all thirty barrels without setting fire once! 'Yes!' Rose whooped. Take that William!
Gwen stood in front of the barrel for a long while. If I try doing this, I might get some serious injuries, and if I don't...well, that's simply going to be embarrassing. After having established what her 2 options were, she decided that everything would be better than being looked at as a coward. So option 1 it was.
She went a little bit backwards with her broom, then started approaching the barrel (again).

Before she knew it, she was flying through the fourth, fifth, and sixth barrels, however, her attention slipped away just a little bit each time and was focused more on the entire barrel itself instead of flying through the smallish opening.
Going through the seventh barrel finally had her hitting her shoulder on the side just as she left, causing her to fumble with the quaffle. Darn thing! Just...why couldn't there be a gripping charm on it, hmmm? Since they weren't playing the ACTUAL game anyway...
OMG her robe was on fire!
Wait, no, it went out.
Good Merlin, she was going to have a panic attack. Hit shoulder, dropped quaffle, clothes on fire...she supposed she was thankful she wasn't playing in the upcoming quidditch game. Hehe. Back to flying!

After that little incident with the shoulder hitting and fire on the robes thing, which she'd totally say neveeerrr happened and she had no idea what anyone was talking about...Evelyn was back to...
Figuring out how to hold the quaffle!
Not to fear though! She got the not so brilliant idea of putting it under the top layer of her robes. Sure, it hurt her ribs and made her look as if she gained a few pounds, but it was better for noooow instead of struggling to hold it. Psshhh.
But yea, emphasis on the hurting the ribs part. It was twice as hard to make sure she fit through the barrel now. But, no quaffle struggling! No pain, no gain right?....Is that what the muggles said?
o__________O She was resulting to using muggle sayings? Hogwarts has corrupted her!
I can do this, I can do this, ..., Gwen kept repeating as she started flying towards the barrel. Her hands were shaking really bad, and she almost lost control of her broom. (Just like she always did). Somehow, she managed to keep her balance.
She took a deep breath in and went through the barrel. Aaaah, she wanted to scream out loud, but managed not to. Worst experience ever! I am not doing this again. Never, she thought.
However, Gwen felt quite proud of herself when she noticed that she got out of the barrel. I did it! Finally!
Gwen took a deep breath in and thought of what she had done in the last minute. I actually managed to go through that?, she asked herself. Brilliant!
But...I don't think I'm going to do that again. Hmph...nono, it's good just the way it is. Or maybe...?
Suddenly, Gwen decided that repeating the move wouldn't be such a bad ideea, so she started flying towards the second barrel. The girl managed to keep her eyes open this time, but that lead no good. She got scared when seing what she was actually doing, and, following, her hands started shaking. She managed to keep her balance on the broom, but her left hand touched the margin of the barrel. Wrong move...

Now having to keep her attention forward, she eyed the rest of the barrels before looping around the first, and finally flying straight through, making it a mission to get through the rest of these barrels in twenty seconds or less.
The first few passes through the barrels were fine. Enough to fill her confidence and lower her distraction from the FIRE! *spazz*
However, as she pushed the broom to fly faster, the sudden quick turns she had to make were starting to become harder to make. Zig zagging around a few times to make it through a few more, she leaned closer to the broom, wincing since the quaffle was still there. Yes, we KNOW you're there! Stop hurting. Darnit.
Finally...FINALLY though...the end was near! And she failed in her mind since she forgot to count twenty seconds so she had no clue if she made her time or not. Whatever though. Evelyn FLEW through the last flaming barrel and came to a hover above the course, leaning back and giving a HUGE sigh of relief.
Good Merlin she hated this quaffle now. Holding it up, she scowled at it before glancing around, rubbing her stomach to try and ease the ache away. It was official. If that was some look into the future...she was never having kids. EVER.

Only a few more barrels, that's what Mina kept telling herself. She was really in the homestretch now. If she could just make it through the last ten quickly, she could then just admire the prettiness of the fires.
Pulling back for a moment, she looked at the last ten barrels before her and nodded to herself. She would just zip through the last ten like she was in a race and be done with it.
Taking another deep breath, she got in position again and flew toward the last ten barrels.
Barrel 21, glance to the left, barrel 22, head tucked, barrel 23, barrel 24, barrrel 25, glance to the right.
Five more barrels!
Okay, it was time for her final go at it. Tucking her body as close as she could to the broom, she leaned in and took off in a blur through the last five barrels as fast as she could.
Zipping her way through them with little trouble, she fly above the course and sighed.
30 barrels done and she was ready to stop. Yes, she wanted to give it another go and better her time; but at the moment, she just wanted to watch the pretty fire.
Ariella smiled as she saw the last five barrels come into view. Almost finished! She flew through another one. She felt a hotness fill her knee. Ugh. On fire again?! For Merlin's sake.
Only two more to go! She happily flew through another one.
Chloe dove right on through the next few burning barrels. She knew it would not be long before she was. She savored this experience and took going through last few a bit slower. Now she only had one to go and she was ready for it. She stared at the last barrel for a.few secconds and then took off full speed ahead for barrel 30.

Nika looked around and let out a sigh of relief as she realized she didn't have to many more barrels to fly through. Once she was done with that she could land safely on the ground again and she'd finally be able to breath calmly. She eyed a few barrels and flew towards them making sure to fly through them.
She made it through two, but then bumped into the third one causing her robes to catch on fire again. Luckily that didn't last too long. Then she backed up and tried to go through it again and this time she was successful. Thank Merlin this class was almost over. Nika looked around and went through the remaining barrels, slowly but surely.
She looked down at the ground and saw a few students who were already done. She was just glad that she got this thing over with. She flew down towards Vindictus and tumbled off of her broom when she was only a foot from the ground. At least she made it in one piece.

Chloe zoomed through the last burning hoop and now all that left was to throw her quaffle into a quiddich. There was not even a keeper, this was gonna be so easy for sure cause she was sure she did not make the quiddich team for nothing. She flew toward the hoops and then let her quaffle fly. It went right on through the hoop and she was now done and headed back toward the course to fly a bit more before Vindictus called whistled for everyone to come down.

But then again just how often can he get to go all Evel Knievel with a professor's stamp of approval?
Watching the burning barrels there was a mixture of excitement and anxiety. He kicked off from the ground, slowly (like really slowly) gaining altitude as he headed towards the first barrel....
Salander slowly rose up into the air, quaffle-dom tucked under his arm and eyeballing the first set of burning barrels. Ok so the excitement was giving more and more into dread given that he was no longer on solid ground. But he'd be darned if he was gonna back out now.
He took a deep breath, gripped the broom handle a little tighter and flew into the first few barrels...
WHOOOOSH!!!
Oi! That was hot! And bright. But mostly hot.
And look at that, his robes was burning...
Wait...what??!
Salander reached down and started slapping his gloved hand against his leg, putting out the flames that was lining the edge of his robes. Most of it seemed to have quit by itself. Professor V's spells must really be working

One more to go! Ariella cheered as she flew through the final barrel. She maneuvered her broom over to Professor Vindictus and threw off her goggles. She had made it! Wow....what a terrible game. What kind of person would want to play that?!

The Slytherin lad turned to look at the barrels again. Other than the sight of his own clothes burning he enjoyed the thrill of this.
Turning slowly he angled the broom and towards the next another set of barrel, these ones set closer together than those he went through previously. He tucked his legs closer to the broom and hunched forward, trying to build up speed...
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSH!!!
"Whoohooohoo!!" an exhilarated cry escaped from his lips. He turns to look at himself. Oh lookitdat, no burning clothes too. Heck yeah he was getting the hang of this.
