Leading the way from the Gryffindor common room, Kurumi scanned the various tapestries until she found the one that she was looking for. Standing in front of the tapestry depicting the attempt of Barnabas the Barmy to teach trolls ballet. The tapestry always made her giggle and wonder if the trolls had asked to be taught how to play or if Barnabas had taken it upon himself to teach them. She supposed that she would never know now, unless the tapestry sprouted to life.

"Well, it should be opposite this tapestry," Kurumi explained turning to the first year standing next to her.

Zara was trailing behind Kurumi, also looking left to right. There was a lot of tapestries there, and she was wondering if they have to magically be part of the tapestry to enter the Room of Requirement. Zara was still clueless of how to enter it, how to find it, and what's inside.

Then Kurumi turned to her, and Zara looked at the third year lioness. "Right here?" She asked. She couldn't see any door anywhere, but that was probably it. They wouldn't enter a door. It was a strange room, as she heard.

Kurumi nodded shyly pointing to the wall opposite the tapestry. "It is opposite this...right here," she said gesturing to the wall a little more strongly. Walking up to it, she tapped the stone and frowned. "Well, at least I think it is here." She looked over her shoulder sheepishly at the first year. Clearly, neither of them had the proper focus to find the room at this point.

Taking several steps back and leaning against the wall with her right shoulder just barely touching the weird dancing troll tapestry. "Okay, we need to think of a clear reason why we want to enter the room," she said looking back and forth between Zara and the wall. "Why do you want to find it?"

Zara, seeing as Kurumi went over to the wall and tapped it decided to do the same. Silly, Zara. She went near it and began tapping it. Then tapping some more. Next thing, she was knocking on it, like a door. Then she was tapping it again using her whole palm. Giving up, she turned back to Kurumi and made a face that said, "Oh well, I tried."

A clear reason? "Because I needed a piano? To finalize my birthday gift for my mom." Zara smiled and leaned on the wall that she had just been tapping and knocking on seconds ago.

Kurumi forgot that she, as an older student now, was seen as a sort of role model to the first years. Sure, there had been some of that during her second year, but she wasn't all that much older than them. Now, as a third year, she had on average two years of Hogwarts experience on them. "Um, Z-Z-Zara," she stammered tapping her on the shoulder. "Y-You don't need to knock on the wall...that...that won't make it appear."

Having sufficiently confused Zara, she was sure, Kurumi eyed the wall. "Okay, so you need a piano," she repeated. "I was thinking more of a music studio. Which means we were having conflicting ideas and therefore the room couldn't appear before us." At least, that's how she thought the Room of Requirement worked. "Let's go down to the other end of the hallway and walk by again."

Now Kurumi needed to think about as to why she wanted a piano...and she needed it to be a strong desire. Wanting to play just because her mother wanted her to practice wasn't enough to make the room appear.

Zara giggled, "Ohh, yes. Of course." And giggled again.

And she nodded as Kurumi confirmed her thoughts of what she wanted to find in the Room of Requirement. "Okay," she smiled and followed Kurumi through the other end of the hallway.

Alright, now that they had moved on from testing the foundation, Kurumi walked to the opposite end and took a deep breath. Okay, so Zara had a strong connection with her mother which is why she wanted to practice the piano.

Why was she here? She needed a good reason, or else nothing was going to happen and her and Zara would be stuck out here.

For some reason, her thoughts wandered to her father who she had just discovered recently had been a musician. She had a connection with him that she didn't know she had had previously. That warmed her up inside and she felt like the desire there may be strong enough to make the door appear.

"Okay, let's try again," she nodded as she took a step forward.

Zara nodded back and smiled at Kurumi. Then looked back at her bag, it was where her musical composition awaits her. She patted it twice, and took a step forward as well, following her friend.

Then they reached the place where it was supposed to appear again. How do they get in? Zara waited for something to happen.

Kurumi walked with Zara and, unfortunately, her thoughts wavered slightly from her father to...Connor?

Now that was odd...how did HE popped into her head?

Suddenly, she was not hearing the sound of an acoustic guitar in her head and her father singing a gentle ballad, she was hearing the Slytherin boy jamming on a drum set and singing his heart out.

Shutting her eyes for a moment to focus, she heard a soft crumbling noise and her eyes shot open.

Well...there was a door...but it wasn't very big. In fact, she reckoned that it was about the size for certain munchkin cat to fit through. Turning her gaze to the right, Kurumi frowned even more as her stubby legged cat waddled down the hallway.

"Afraid my cat has more desire to find the room," she groaned as the kitty sniffed the door before pawing it open.

Zara giggled, as she knelt down to stroke the cat. "Hey Walnut, how're you?" Zara smiled, and looked over to where they expected the door to be. Hmm, nothing happened.

She stood back up to face Kurumi, "D'ya think we ought to be doing something besides the desire? Like maybe dance in front of the wall. Or say some magic words. Or sing it a song?" She knew her idea sounded crazy. I mean, who would dance in front of a wall? People passing by'd probably think they're nuts. Heheh, Walnut.

Kneeling back down, she stroked the cat some more. Now her thoughts drifted over to Eirwen, not to the piano. Zara wished they didn't have to leave the owls over there at the owlery, Zara needed company.

AHH, where was her concentration going. She shrugged the thought of and began to focus on what they came here for.

Walnut purred at the girl patted his head. Yes, he liked that very much. She was a good little humanperson-thing that would certainly make a lovely addition to his worshipers. Purring softly, he rubbed up first against the new personthing and took in her scent. Hmmm....watermelon. Interesting.

Moving away from Watermelon Girl now, Walnut rubbed up against his Mistress before noticing the small cat sized door. LOVELY! Picking his rather large rear end off the floor and waddled through the door.

Kurumi shook her head as she watched the cat walk. He certainly was something, that cat. She had to wondered whose shoes he had peed in today. Then, Kurumi swore she heard the faint noise of a violin, but it ceased the moment the small little door shut and vanished back into the wall of stone.

"Zara...did you hear that?"

More important than the violin, Kurumi was pretty sure she had heard his voice in there singing...

Zara pouted, she didn't hear anything at all. She tilted her head to the side, her eyebrows furrowed as she tried to listen. Trying to hear something that was out of the usual.

"I didn't hear anything, Kurumi," she said softly, wondering if Kurumi can speak parseltongue or something. Cause if she could, that would be awesome.

Kurumi frowned when Zara said she couldn't hear anything. "I could have sworn that I heard Con---I mean, someone playing the violin," she blushed as she knelt down, hugging her knees to her chest and peering at the spot where the door had appeared and Walnut had vanished through.

Standing back up again, she looked over at Zara. "Seems like there are some people in there playing music already."

Zara watched Kurumi with utmost confusion. There was? Awesome, someone knew how to play the violin. Maybe Zara could go meet that girl...or guy, eek...sometime.

"Really? People? Actual people there inside the room?" She asked, wow. There really were people inside the Room of Requirement right now? Whoever they were, they sure knew how to enter. "Maybe we could go shout and ask them how to get inside?" Zara suggested, but hesitantly. Because before that person or those people inside heard them, the professors--or even worse, Headmaster Tate--might be on their way, about to give Zara detention for shouting and disrupting peace in the castle. "..or maybe not."

Kurumi frowned for a moment. She wasn't sure that shouting would get them into the Room of Requirement any quicker. No, they needed a more solid idea. Although, Kurumi had to admit that her confidence was a bit shattered seeing as her CAT had managed to summon the door before her and Zara had.

Go figure.

"Maybe, this can really help us," she said snapping her fingers as if a light bulb had gone off in her head. "You want to find the people who are inside already, right?" she asked turning her attention to the girl. "And I want to find them as well." Only for slightly different reasons because she was pretty sure that she had recognized one of the voices in the room. Her cheeks flushed a bit at the simple schoolgirl thought. "So, I think if we walk by one more time and ask 'I need to find the room where the others are playing music' that we might have a better shot."

Common goal equaled common door, right?

Zara smiled happily at this idea. "Alright! Let's do it." She said.

Though, still somewhere in the back of Zara's mind she wondered why Kurumi looked like she was blushing. Zara could've sworn she saw the third year Gryffindor's cheeks turn pinkish. Oh well. She shrugged the thought of, saving it for later. Now, they've got a door to find.

Nodding, Kurumi took ahold of Zara's hand, and looked the first year in the eye. "On the count of three then," she smiled taking a deep breath and took a step forward. "One, two, THREE!"

Kurumi closed her eyes and began leading the way.

Zara, was again, following close behind. Once they've reached the spot, she watched the wall as it slowly turned into some kind of door. Slowly, it appeared.

"KURUMI! IT'S APPEARING! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! HOW DID WE DO THAT?!" Zara exclaimed, her voice all happy and excited like she'd just won the lottery.

Ohh! Zara was so excited. 'Maybe I could also use that room for baking and cooking besides the kitchen. Besides, I wouldn't want anyone to watch me while I cook, and I don't wanna disrupt the house elves' cooking.' She began to think and her mind drifted to cooking.

Distracted as she was, her desires of finding the piano were gone and were replaced into desires to learn how to cook. Then the door which had almost appeared complete began turning back into a wall. Uh oh.

Kurumi was just about to jump up and down with excitment that they had finally managed to find the door when...it vanished again.

What had made it so easy for Walnut to be able to find? She just knew that the cat was sitting inside the room, licking his tail, and feel exceptionally proud of himself. Everything would be said in his smug golden eyes.

Slowly, Kurumi turned to look at Zara, and noticing a shocked expression on her face as well, Kurumi giggled softly. "Looks like we are just never going to find it!"

Kurumi leaned against the wall for a moment and playing with her long black pony tail. "Zara, were you thinking about finding the room with the other people the entire time?"

Uh oh, the door vanished. It was Zara's fault. Grrr. Why think about baking and cooking when you've got something more important to finish? Gee, Zara, be more mature.

Bowing her head down, she said softly, "I'm sorry, Kurumi, it's my fault. When I saw the door began to appear I suddenly thought that sometime, maybe I could use it to be a kitchen." She frowned slightly, though Kurumi didn't see cause her head was bowed and Zara was looking down.

She was scared. Kurumi might get mad at her. Or lose her patience with Zara. She didn't even know where to begin with, Kurumi had accompanied Zara out of courtesy and she just ruined it all for the both of them. Ugh, stewpid Zara.

Might as well turn Zara into a stew. "I'm really sorry," she apologized softly.

Kurumi began waving her arms around frantically when she saw the first year hang her head in shame. "D-D-D-Don't feel bad!" she squeaked flailing around a bit and getting herself caught up in one of the tapestries.

Oops.

Now that Kurumi's arm was wrapped up like a burrito, she was sure the first year was going to blame herself for this as well. "You have nothing to feel sorry about," she said calmly as she attempted to untangle all the tassles from her arm. She swore she heard the stupid looking giants laughing at her. "Not even Harry Potter found this room on his first try." At least, that is what she had heard. He had had to pace back and forth in front of it before he had found it when he wanted to know what another student was hiding.

FINALLY getting her arm lose, she turned back to Zara, cheeks red but with a smile on her face. "Shall we give it another go?"

Kurumi's desire to enter the room was stronger than ever - especially when she had heard his voice on the other side on moments earlier.

Zara looked up at Kurumi. Oh no. She got caught up in one of the tapestries. Ugh, Zara, why can't you just behave and not get into any trouble anymore shall we? "Ohh! I'm so sorry. You got caught up in trying to calm me down. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have forced you into this." She said, looking back down.

Then Kurumi had tried to convince her. Feeling a bit less guilty, Zara again, raised her head, eyes on Kurumi. Kurumi's cheeks were reddish again. Zara assumed it was because Kurumi was getting a bit mad at her. She also noticed that she finally untangled herself. "You're not mad at me, are you?"

Hesitantly, she said, "If you're not mad at me, maybe we should. But how exactly did we manage to do that?"

"Of course I am not mad at you!" Kurumi laughed as she flicked a few pieces of lint that had fallen on her from the tapestry off her shoulder. "Everyone makes mistakes." She walked over to the girl and eyed the wall for a moment. "If we all did everything perfect the first time, well, then what would be the point in living? Mistakes are what make us grow."

Kurumi tossed her ponytail over her shoulder and tapped the wall twice with her hand before turning to face Zara. "Let's do this!"

Kurumi seemed serious that she wasn't mad. After Zara confimed this in a few seconds, she sighed of relief. "Thanks, Kurumi. You know, you are really nice, and smart too." Zara smiled and hoped that as she grew up, she'd be as nice and smart as Kurumi. If that was possible.

"Okay! Take two." She said, happily as she made a peace sign with her hands to emphasize "two."
