She yawned, and shifted closer to the window, opening it so that if any owls needed to get into the train at any point they could. She let her own owl out the window and smiled. Ah everything was all right so far and Chester was happily flying out the window.
Katra wandered down the long corridor, absently looking through the compartments for a familiar face. Seeing none, she continued on, drifting through the students with unobtrusive ease. At last, she came to a compartment with only one rider, one she immediately recognized. The girl's appearance screamed Devereaux along with the slight, magical awareness of a familial bond. She smiled slightly, tapped on the door once and entered.
"So you're the long lost cousin." she said, the light, French lilt in her voice becoming more prominent. Her smile widened a little as she extended her hand in greeting.
Composing himself after the rush of making that "step" through Platform 9 3/4. Alekzander tried to stay calm. His heart was literally about to burst out of his chest. He has waited ever so anxiously for this day for a great while. But he knew how to contain himself... He learned that at an early age. You see, where he came from, he wasn't allowed to act like an eleven year old boy. Which he was. He was expected to stay quite. To stay calm. And to never, under any circumstance, let out any sign of enjoyment.
But... He had his best friend Lilly by his side. And no one to stop him now. A smiled widened across his face that he could no longer hold back. Standing before the door of The Hogwarts Express. He stopped Lilly just before they got on. He then looked her in the eyes and said "This is going to be so new for me. I'm glad you're here with me." And he gestured for her to proceed before him. "You first. Lilly." And he nodded his head.
Lilly stood beside her best friend, knowing this was going to be the beginning of the best year of their lives. Well, one of. She giggled and snuck a glance at Alexzander. He looked so...so...controlled. Like trying to hold in his excitement, she knew it wasn't possible. She quickly loooked back at the glorious red engine before he could notice she was staring. It was magnificent all on its own, no doubt about that. Huge as well. She was interrupted when Alex turned her around to face him. "I'm glad you're here with me too, sharing this auspicous occasion." She said with a wide grin on her face. "I would gladly go first." She spoke softly as she grabbed Alex's hand and led the way onto the train.
The first moments on the train were so hard to describe. Chaotic and hectic. Magical and new. All rolled into one. There were many compartments with little tiny windows and small doors with numerous students crammed into them, chattering away the tales of their summers. Lilly led them down the corridor. "Uh, I think this one is empty." She said turning into a compartment that had nothing in it. She sat down on one of the two plush benches. "This feels incredible, dont you think Alex?" She said with a grin as she took in a long glance of King's Cross.

Ah, the back compartment. Finally. After some difficulty carrying her luggage, Heather reached the back of the train, hoping to find a compartment and find her friends.
Cass walked down the corridors of the train carefully. She wouldn't want to hit anyone and cause fight, not this early anyway...fights could come later. Besides, she wanted to start her third year right.
With her guitar case in one hand, her bag slung through her shoulder with Ice - along with her other things - in it, and her trunk already stored in the luggage compartment, she was all set to go.
She ventured into the back of the train and headed for their usual compartment. She slid inside and frowned, why wasn't anyone here yet? Oh well. She sat down near the window, her usual seat of course, placed her guitar against the wall, then pulled her wand and Ice, out of her bag before stowing it at the luggage area overhead, taking good care not to rumple a set of her school robes that were inside.
Then she sat back down, placed her wand back into its holster and hid it inside her sleeve, then placed Ice on her lap, stroking her fur lightly. She hadn't been spending much time with the little snowy ball of fur, and she felt terribly guilty for it, but she really was more in the mood to play her guitar more.
Finally giving in, she set her cat aside then took the guitar into her lap and started playing.
Hmm.....Intresting, heartbreak made her more productive in song writing.
"Maybe someday you would understand...."
Levi skulked down the corridor of the train, his expression rather indifferent. It hadn't been a good summer. Actually, that was an understatement. It had been a horrible vacation and he knew it well. Besides his falling out with a certain Slytherin girl, his home life had taken a turn for the worse. His muggle father had been laid off and reverted to his whole ways of getting blitzed and taking his aggression out on his children.
Almost a week before Levi left for school, they had gotten into a physical fight after the son had tried to start an intervention with him. He was fed up with the yelling and the unnecessary quarrels but apparently, it hadn't been the right time to argue. The tipsy man had actually struck the fourth year with a piece of his broken bottle. A small, jagged scar ran along the left side of his face, fresh and still hurting six or seven days later.
As the black Gryffindor passed a few more compartments, he heard music lilting from one towards the back. The voice singing sounded so sweet...so familiar. He would know that voice from anywhere but what surprised him, was that he hadn't heard her sing like this before. He stopped outside the door and listened for a moment, knowing he should have just walked away. Awestruck, he glanced up at her through the glass, too hurt to smile but the hate in his eyes was gone.
With an uneasy swallow, he started to head off. She didn't need to see him like this; a mess.

Kyle smiled as she saw Katra aw it was great seeing her she immediately felt her smiled widen as she said long-lost-cousin. Aw, she was ecstatic really.
"Oh its great seeing you!" Kyle smiled - her mum Aurelie had writen a letter to tell her she'd gotten word Katra was heading to Hogwarts for one last year. "How've you been?" She asked happily her own accent becoming more and more French as she spoke. She quickly took the outstreched hand and shook it firmly. Standing up, she smiled giving her cousin two quick air-kisses one on each side of the cheek. Ah the one thing Beauxbaton had really taught her - etiquette.
"Here take a seat," she smiled. "Oh Alicia said to say hello...and Katra its nice to finally have some family here especially closer to my age you know." She smiled, instantly she had an urge to tell Katra about some of the people she had met - like the wonderful Quidditch player Simon, and the startling Seventh year who might not be on the team this year unless he's allowed on - James Wilkes...but she had more of an urge to tell her of Simon seeing deep down she might have had one of those very hidden crushes on him.
"Here take a seat" she smiled. "I've got loads to tell you - oh there's this guy in my year whose really really nice, and kind, and supportive...oh god it sounds like I like him? Anyways, yeah we found out we had loads in common this summer and have been becoming closer friends which is fun - he's the Gryffindor Quidditch captain..." She admitted unaware that her cheeks were suddenly very flushed. "Oh and you have to meet one quidditch player - besides Simon that is, he was on my house team - I feel sorry for him he was recently broken up with and is really, really, nice...Jimmy he's pretty funny and you know a total flirt" she admitted with a laugh.
Then with a sigh she realized why not just introduce her cousin to some of her friends come the start of the term? Brilliant.

Ah, the back compartment. Finally. After some difficulty carrying her luggage, Heather reached the back of the train, hoping to find a compartment and find her friends.
Cass looked down towards Ice and set her down on the floor. "Go get the lost little Heather, Ice." Cass ordered as she opened it partially for the small cat.
Ice looked up from her mistress and meowed softly, Why'd she have to go fetch the girl who had almost squished her to death? She walked down the corridors, careful not to get stepped on by anyone. She wouldn't want that. Nope. She would like to stay pretty, white and fluffy for her mistress forever.
Then she found the directionally challenged woman standing in the middle of the corridor. She meowed softly as she pawed on the girl's legs until she took notice of her, then she started to lead the way towards the compartment. Her mistress would be so proud of her

As Cass was waiting for Ice to get back, she noticed someone peering at her from the glass...but when she looked up, they were gone. Her eyes narrowed curiously. Who just watch the compartment and leave? Not bothering to wait for her cat to get back - she knew Ice would manage fine. - she stood up and headed for the door, taking her guitar with her since she was too much of in a hurry to set it down on its case.
She slammed the door open, desperate to catch the person, and saw a familiar outline among the crowd.
"Levi!" She called out, as she sort of ran towards him, catching his arm. This was the first time in months that she had called him by his first name. Probably because she was fine now. She wasn't angry, she wasn't hurt. She wasn't anything. It was nice to have the old Cassandra back. She really didn't like the gloomy one. Even her mother said so.

Heather was still pulling her luggage when she saw amongst the crowd of running people, Cass's kitten, Ice. the cat was meowing on her leg.
"Oh, hey Ice...uh..." Wait, why is that kitten walking alone? She'd get squished, but then, she was leading her to Cass. "Thanks Ice...uh..lead the way...but...i'm kind of nervous someone might trample on you..." she figured the kitten wouldn't want to be carried.

He held his hand to his cheek and glared at the boy in front of him.
"What is your problem, have you never worn robes before or are you so dense you forgot how to walk on a moving train?!" his eyes burned at the guy in his Hogwarts robes, a large red spot forming on his pale, high cheek-bone. Riley himself was dressed in grey jeans and a striped white and grey sweater wondering to himself what he boy was doing in his robes to begin with, especially if he got side-tracked by the whirling around of them like a little girl in a dress shop and hitting people in the process. He would have smirked at that image but his face hurt too much.

He stammered in his distinctly American accent, his hand lowering from his temple as he stuffed his hands into his pockets. "I really didn't mean to!" He had finally found his voice. "I'm really, truly sorry. I promise I won't bother you again, I'm just..."
He was floundering like a fish out of water, one thrown from the shores of New York to the great Isle of Wight in England. Would anyone be kind enough to save him from the wrath of this tyrant?! He could only hope.
Gee whiz.
As always, Braeden was running late. Surprise, surprise. The Gryffindor boy made his way through the front and middle compartments with a look of defeat on his face as he dragged his trunk along behind him. Were there seriously no empty compartments left at all?! And where were his friends, anyway? He should at least be able to sit with them...
The Gryffindork let out a sigh as he walked through the door leading into the back of the train, expecting to find nothing more than defeat once again. Maybe he'd just have to camp out in the corridor, yeah that sounded like the only option right about no-- Voices!
And very familiar voices too; one's arrogant tone, Braeden would have recognized from a mile away. The other one's funny accent was still a fresh memory in the boy's mind. Quickening his pace, Brae caught up with the pair in no time.
"Riley! Theo!" he greeted the pair with one of his lopsided grins. It wasn't until a moment later that he realized the air around the other two boys was rather tense. Furrowing his brows slightly the boy asked, "What? What's wrong?" but before either one of them could answer, he was already talking again, "Hey, you guys found a compartment yet? I've already checked, but the rest of the train is completely occupied, and I'd really rather sit with someone I know..." he trailed off for a moment as his brown eyes drifted over to Theodore, looking him up and down for a moment before smiling with amusement. "Y'know, you didn't have to put your robes on just yet."
*Matilda closed her compartment's door and went back to sit down on the bench and now she looked outside when some of the students passed by her compartment and actually she enjoyed being alone*
Matilda: It is so peacefull in here and the sightings are beautifull too.

Ice stopped walking for a moment and turned back towards the girl and sort of glared while making that angry cat sound. No one would squish her. No one would dare.
She meowed softly trying to tell her that if she walked a bit faster, they would get back faster...therefore, decreasing the chance of her getting stepped on.
Jeanne came to this part of the train because she forgot to carry her bag pack while looking for a compartment to stay in. Luckily, it's still there when she came back to it. Jeanne had to squeeze in to every person in the train to get here. It's quite full outside, and she just had to leave her bag in the back part of the train. Genius.
She jumped to grab her bag and put it on her back. Okay. Back to squeezing in again.
Ugh, why did her bag have to be so heavy? Samira grunted in frustration as her heavy colorful bag slid off her shoulder onto the compartment seat. She found a secluded one in the back, just the way she liked it. Her beaded bag was crammed with just about everything. A large collection of books, a sketching pad, diary, story notebook, quills, candy wrappers, makeup, and a hair scrunchy. Yes, you could say Samira was a bit paranoid about being bored on the long trip to Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She felt giddy with excitement just thinking about it.
Smiling to herself, the young Slytherin rummaged through the bag and pulled out one of her favorite Wizarding novels. She leaned back and started reading.

Lara was the happiest person on Earth for now she was finally on the Train! After she had put her luggage she went between the compartments to look for someone she knew. While she was walking she was looking at all the students she really missed that view, even though she doesn’t know all of them but it was so pleasant. And by the faces she could tell that most of them were happy to be back, as each one was sticking to his friend and the probably telling each other about their holidays!
And as she got to the back of the Train she glanced a familiar face so she moved forwards and it was Samira the girl whom Lara disturbed in the Leaky Cauldron. This time Samira was reading a book, at least not sleeping like last time. Lara approached Samira and said “Hi Samira!” she smiled “How’re you?” she winked at her, she hoped that this time she didn’t disturb her or bothered!

Tayla sat nervously in the empty compartment she found. When she got on the train, everyone seemed to know someone. But she didn't. She looked out the window and despite feeling a little lonely, felt far more excited to see Hogwarts.
Tayla and her family lived in the Muggle world because her father Matthew was a Muggle. But Matthew knew his wife Nicole was a witch. So did Tayla and her younger sister April. Nicole hardly talked about the wizarding world, however, until Tayla got her letter from Hogwarts. It all sounded fascinating and Tayla couldn't wait to see the school and learn all the magic she could.
"I do hope I make a friend before I get there," she thought, glancing back at the door and hoping someone nice would come in. "I wonder if there are many half-and-half witches like me."

Hello, Daddy! Hello, Mom! I'm your ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb!
Lucas made his way down the corridor toward the back of the train, looking for a compartment. He didn't really know too many people yet, so he figured he'd just find an empty-ish one. (Unless someone asked him to join them, of course, but he didn't think that would happen.) He kind of just wanted to nap, anyway. It had been quite the hectic morning, and he was ready to settle in and relax on the train.

Samira was getting very engaged in her novel. Lafina had just told Vector that she is not really the high-class Pureblood with she was telling him, and his reaction was about to be revea--
Oh no.
Not again!
Samira would recognize that voice anywhere. Especially since it was so fresh on her mind. Luckily, Samira and the other girl didn't really have a chance to chit-chat at the Leaky Cauldron, but here she was. Interrupting her. Again.
Clenching the book tightly in her hands, Samira didn't even look up as she tightly said, "Hello again," There was no need to be completely rude. "I was doing fine." Was. She glanced up. Was she going to be standing in that doorway the whole train ride? Samira regretted the next words that spilled from her mouth. "Are you going to come sit?" Argh! She wasn't even trying to be nice, but here she was inviting the other girl in. Nice, Samira. Good job...

It had been quite the hectic morning, and he was ready to settle in and relax on the train.
While standing by the doorway of their compartment, waiting for ice to come back with Heather, Cass saw an older boy who looked like he had no place to sit on. She smiled at him and said "Hey, are you alright?" He looked rather tired, well everyone did since the express leaves so early and all of their body clocks were still set for summer...but they had to or else they would miss the express.
"Do you want to stay in our compartment?" She offered as she stepped aside to make room for him to enter. "You look like you could use a place to stay." Hmm, she had never seen him before, perhaps he was a new student?
Rising slowly from her position on the floor, Mia sat on the bench opposite him and stretched out as well, laying on her side and propping herself up onto her elbow. "I like you Ivan but I am not going to apologise for how I feel about Nik." She had done that with Sal and that had gone real well, hadn't it?
Well of course she was going to ask. "Why aren't you getting much sleep?" There had been a few times during the holidays that she hadn't got much sleep either but that was for a totally different reason.
Ivan turned his head and watched as Mia layed out on the other bench. "I never asked you to apologize for loving someone you knew before me," he said turning his head to look up at the train roof. It was just his loss and he'd have to deal with it.
"Dreams," he said vaguely still keeping his eyes still up on the ceiling. "Very very bad dreams." Hardly. But they were bad for his friendship with Mia that was for damn sure.
