Penny copied Rose's movements....."I do hope we get there soon.. The idea of a feast sounds good right about now." she said with her mouth half full of cake...

Then reaching for the Chocolate Frogs, opened one and began eating, savouring the sweetness of the frog (the card was Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Grand Sorc., D. Wiz.,[5] X.J.(sorc.),[5] S. of Mag.Q.,[5] Order of Merlin - First Class, (1881–1997)) .....

Also reaching for a book (The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection by Quentin Tremble)....thinking that maybe she would read a little before a snooze..
But after 5 pages her eyes felt heavy and she feel asleep, dreaming of her new school and the magnificent feast that would be there..

Late afternoon light angled though the train windows glinting off the auburn hair of a certain petite girl as her large iridescent eyes peeked into different compartments making sure everything was going well.

Petite was a better word to describe her you see, considering Ivory Erised did not under any circumstances appreciate being called short. Height impaired perhaps, maybe even “not very tall” but never, ever short. That was a word reserved for objects, or when one didn’t have enough change and maybe even to children but certainly not to a 5th year such as herself. Certainly not when the young girl, young women mind you, now stood cheerily at 5'0''.

Gone was the awkward preteen of lanky limbs and nonexistent curves and in her place was…well a non-lankier more feminine version. Not that she’d know that of course, the only change she was aware of was the fact that she’d grown a full two and half inches in height over the summer….and of course that her hair now fell in straight waves to halfway down her back, the longest she’d ever had it.

Shrugging said hair over her right shoulder her prefect badge pinned neatly on her robes, she smiled in a friendly fashion at whomever caught her eye.

"Oh, hello," Tayla greeted a littly shyly as she saw an important-looking girl, although shorter than her, along the hall. "Do you want to come in?" Tayla smiled at the girl and walked inside before she answered, leaving the door open.

"Hi Rose," Tayla said as she arrived back in the compartment. She sat down and opened one of her chocolate frogs while staring at the title of the book Rose was reading. "Cool!" she said. "I've started reading our books, too, but just a little bit. They're fascinating aren't they? Have you started with Charms as well?"

Rose put the beans back on the seat, deciding not to take the risk of getting a horrid one... instead taking a Chocolate Frog, ignoring the card..

Having eaten the frog, she agreed with Penny that the feast would be amazing, picked up her book (The Standard Book of Spells Grade 1 by Miranda Goshawk)..

She barely heard Penny reading the Chocolate Frog, for she was very sleepy now - and then looking over at Penny, realized her friend had fallen asleep....
before long, Rose herself was in a world between real & dream - her last conscious thought being - "I do hope we get there soon"

scout heard another girl say rose's name and snapped out of her reverie. she moved to the compartment they were in, "hi rose," she said, smiling at rose, who was reading. she turned to the other girl she didn't know, "hi, i'm scout. is that seat free?" she pointed to an empty seat.

"Hi Scout," Tayla replied. "Sure, you can sit here. I'm Tayla."

'Oh, hey again, Scout!' Rose said. She had been reading her book but was happy her friends were back. 'I've only read this one yet...'

scout moved to the seat next to tayla. "how's the train ride been for you? i lost a bunch of people that i met earlier! very tragic."

"hi rose! glad i found you again... i think i fell asleep on accident earlier." she looked embarassed. "how's the book?"

'Hey, do any of you know if we're nearly there yet?' Rose had been growing impatient after 1hour of being on this train she really couldn't stand 42 hours! 'The books cool!'

" Hi, Daisy. Yes, I am," Jory said. "i'm very excited. I'm muggleborn so I don't know very much about Hogwarts. Did any one for you come to Hogwarts before?"

"hmm, i don't know." scout looked out the window as if trying to find some hint in the landscape. "i feel you, though. i'm so excited to get there i can barely sit still! my older brother and sister have been going on for years about the sorting, start of term feast and everything." she looked suddenly nervous. "are you guys excited for the sorting? i'm a little nervous..."

'I'm a pureblood,' Daisy said, 'and my older brother came here. He left last year. He was in Hufflepuff, so was my Dad and my Mum was in Ravenclaw,' Daisy said, eager to find out more, 'you're muggleborn, what's it like living with muggles? Were you suprised when you got your letter? Did you know you were a wizard?'
Daisy's head was filled with questions to ask this boy who had grown up so differently to her, but was now about to start Hogwarts too.

'I don't know what'll happen at the sorting, but I really hope we're there, before I have to go to sleep!' Rose was anxious about the sorting as she really didn't have any idea what would happen. 'Do you think we should ask someone who knows when we'll get there?'

"It's been pretty fun and interesting actually," Tayla replied. "Except for that bad dream I had..." she thought to herself, recalling the dream she had of a bludger hitting her square in the face just before she tried to score a Quaffle through one of the hoops.

Remembering Quidditch, she took out her copy of "Quidditch Through the Ages" by Kennilworthy Whisp. Before reading, she turned to Scout again.

"You'll probably meet them again when we arrive at Hogwarts, Scout," Tayla said encouragingly. "Have you started reading any of our books yet? I'd like to continue with one..." And she opened the book to the page she left off and began reading Chapter Six: Changes in Quidditch Since the Fourteenth Century.

"i don't know either, but surely they'll tell us when we get there?!" she started to move around anxiously in her seat and realized she was still in her muggle clothes. "rose, when are you going to change into your robes? i suppose we should soon..."

"glad you've had a good time; i expect there will be a lot more fun once we get to the school!" she smiled, envisioning the first day of class, the smell of fresh ink and parchment in the air. "i've skimmed through the books, but haven't really read any... i guess i should start, huh?" she picked up the dark forces: a guide to self-protection by quentin tremble. "this one seemed most interesting to me!"

Rose was getting quite squirmish. She couldn't stay still for too long! 'Urgh! I'm going to EXPLODE!' Rose said loudly. 'Oh yeah! Well I'm gonna get into mine now!' Rose pulled out a robe and put it on and found it was the perfect size!

Hearing a young voice pipe up nearby, Ivory gave a little turn at the shy suggestion. My, my, firsties were getting taller every year.

Flashing the younger girl a smile, she gave a small nod."Sure." It'd do her well to interact with more students this year. Making new friends was always a good option after all and she still had some time to spare before she had to report back to the Prefect compartment anyway.

Stepping forward through the open compartment door, the Ravenclaw stood in place for a second wiggling her fingers in greeting at all the occupants. "Hello all."

Matilda: You didn't miss much Thomas just dyed that Rose girl's hair.

'Hello....' Rose felt stupid because she hadn't met an older student yet... 'My names Rose, whats yours?'
'Hey, Jordans waking up!' Rose said

"I think we going to be at hogwarts soon enough I'll be right back gotta go into my school robes"

'Have you only just thought of that?' Rose was surprised! Then again she had only just realised too.....

Thomas walked back in the room "Oh look Jordans waking up!"

'Heya, Thomas! Rose said. Rose wasn't angry at Thomas anymore for dying her hair ginger, she liked it like this!

Tilting her head slightly when someone spoke up, Ivory's eyes widened a little.

"Oh wow, where are my manners?" Giving a little laugh, she stepped forward to shake the girl's hand in greeting. "It's pleasure to meet you Rose, I'm Ivory Erised."

Realizing she was most likely making the atmosphere really awkward by just standing there, she plopped down on an available seat. "So are you guys excited to be going to Hogwarts?" She remembered her first train ride, she'd been so excited she could hardly contain it.

'Yep! I've been asking everyone I've seen so far if they know when we're getting there! I'm starving!' Rose really was hungry... 'I don't suppose, you being a prefect and been here before that you know how much longer?' Rose said all of this in about two gulps of air.
